They all made their way downstairs into the living room which had been decorated for the pre party prom, they had a wall for photos all set up ready to be used.

"Okay Sara, you first baby girl" Laura told her.

Sara smiled and passed Leo to his father, Grissom cuddled his son to his chest and smiled as he watched Sara posed while getting her photo taken. She done some pretty photos but after so many had been taken she started to muck about and get some funny ones as well.

"Right you, I get it, that's enough been taken! Get Leo from Gil, Gil my boy, it's your turn" Robert said the the pair while laughing.

Sara giggled and took her son from Grissom who was also laughing. He stood in front of the wall, at first he felt a little bit awkward as he didn't really like to getting photos of just himself but he looked at Sara who was smiling back at him and soon his nerves were settled. Many more photos were taken of both Sara and Grissom as well as photos with Leo, Laura and Robert. Greg arrived with Morgan who also go many photos taken with and without the family. It was now nearly 6 and their guests were due to arrive at any moment.

Sara had Leo in her arms with Grissom's arms wrapped around her getting their final photos when the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it!" Robert said heading to the door.

At the door was all their friends with their close family.

"Did you's all plan to get here at the exact same time?" Robert laughed with everyone.

Robert allowed everyone in, they all said their hellos and began to mingle. They got many more photos with each other and were talking to each other.

Sara who still had a hold of Leo was standing with Catherine, Morgan, Annie and Tina talking.

"Sara, he looks so adorable in his little tux" Catherine squealed.

Sara laughed and thanked Catherine.

"So are you really bringing him to prom Sar?" Morgan asked.

"Yeah, I'm just not ready to leave him for most the night yet. Betty got him these headphones so the noise won't hurt him ears" Sara explained to them.

"That's such a good idea and we'll all be there so if you and Griss want to go dance alone then one of us can home him for you" Annie told her smiling.

"Thanks girls, I'm a bit nervous about what other people at prom might say about me bringing him if I'm honest" Sara admitted.

"Don't! We're all with you and if anyone says anything they'll have us and the guys to deal with" Catherine told her and the other girls agreed.

Sara smiled at them, thanking them once again.

While the girls were chatting the boys were all sitting on the couches talking as well.

"So the misses and the baby at prom tonight Grissom?" Jim said to him

Grissom nodded "Yep, Sara's just not ready to leave him and to be honest I'm kind of glad she's bringing him. I hate being away from him too much as well"

"Well this will make prom even better then, I love seeing the little man, he's just so cute!" Nick told them making the boys laugh.

"I agree Nicky, Leo will make the night even better" Warrick agreed with him.

"As long as get a dance with my little nephew then he can come" Greg joked.

The boys all laughed and carried on talking about many things, including how amazing the girls all looked.

As it approached 8 o'clock the huge limo arrived outside the Sidle home.

"Kids, that's the limo's here, time to go!" Robert shouted.

They all made their way outside with their families as well.

"Oh, I forgot mine and Leo's bag!" Sara said as they got to the limo.

"You take Leo and I'll go get it babe" Grissom told her passing Leo in his baby chair to Sara.

Sara smiled at him and kissed him "Thank you, you know I love you lots right?"

Grissom smiled back at her "Well I love you more, now I'll be back in just a minute."

Grissom quickly ran into the house and grabbed the two bags then headed back to the limo.

The teens and Leo all said goodbye to their families and got into the limo, Sara put on Leo's headphones once they were all settled in as she didn't want him to wake up if the music became too loud. The limo set off and they were all on their way to prom.

The limo driver started the music while Jim and Warrick passed out some drinks to them all.

After making sure, once again, that Leo was okay Sara began to enjoy herself and started singing along with her friends. They arrived at prom 20 minutes later, Sara began to feel very nervous again. Grissom noticed this and asked Greg to take Leo out the limo with him, the others followed and left the couple in the limo.

"Sara, it's going to be okay. There's no need to be nervous, you look beautiful! I've never seen anyone as beautiful as you!"

Grissom cupped Sara's cheek with him right hand.

"You're with all our friends and you've got me and Leo! No one will say anything, and if they do then they'll have me to deal with. Okay?"

Sara nodded her head.

"Thanks babe, it's just going to be the first time I've seen anyone who's not our friends since Leo, just nervous"

"I know baby, but it'll all be fine" Grissom said kissing her softly.

Sara kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck, Grissom's arms wrapped around her waist and brought her closer.

Sara broke the kiss off and smiled "We better stop before we can't"

Grissom laughed "Maybe later"

He winked at her and helped her up and out the limo, wrapping an arm around her waist when they were both out.

Sara laid her head on his shoulder for a second "Thank you for being so supportive Griss, I love you"

"Anytime babe, I love you too" he said as they made their way over to their friends.

Grissom took Leo from Greg and they all headed into the building. They quickly found their table and took their seats, Grissom grabbed an extra seat to put Leo's chair on and placed it next to Sara. Sara took Leo out of his chair and held him close to her chest.

They all sat for a little while just talking and singing along to the music while having some punch.

"Right, come on you lot, let's go dance!" Greg shouted as he got up and grabbed Morgan's hand, pulling her up and out of her seat and dragging her to the dance floor.

The others followed his lead and made their way to the dance floor, Sara brought Leo with her and started rocking him as they all danced together.

"Okay misses, you've been holding out son too long, give him to me for a dance" Grissom said after a few songs had passed.

Sara laughed and passed Grissom his son, once safely placed in his arms Grissom started dancing with his son. Sara laughed along with their friends at Grissom trying to dance with Leo, Grissom just smiled back at them all and continued to dance.

After a little while Leo became restless and hungry which Sara noticed as she watched her son dancing with his uncle Greg.

"Greg give him to me, I think he needs a bottle" Sara smiled.

"I can give him it if you want Sar" Greg told his sister.

"Are you sure? I can do it, I don't mind. Don't you want to stay and dance with Morgan?"

"I can dance with her after, you go dance with Grissom, have fun. Leo will be okay with his favourite uncle"

Sara laughed "Thanks Greggo, his bottles in his bag, he might need changed as well if you don't mind"

"No problem, now go dance with Grissom" Greg told her as he walked back to the table to get the baby bag.

Morgan followed Greg back to the table and said she'd sit with him while he fed Leo. He told her he'd be right back after he changed him, kissing her cheek as he left. Meanwhile the other couples were all dancing together Grissom saw Sara standing on the dance floor by herself watching Greg go off with Leo. The song "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls began to play, Grissom made his way to stand behind Sara. Sara felt the hair on the back of her neck stand, she knew straight away that Grissom was standing behind her. She smiled as she turned to face him.

He held his hand out and said "Would the prettiest girl in the room like to dance with this lonely old guy?"

Sara giggled "I'd love to dance with you, by the way, you're not old. You're only a year older and you're very handsome in my opinion"

Grissom blushed making Sara giggle again, she placed her hand in his as he wrapped his other arm around her waist. Sara placed her other hand on his shoulder and laid her head on his shoulder too. Grissom held Sara tightly to him, they both smiled and began to dance together.

"You know, as much as I love Leo and being with him I really do miss having time just the two of us" Grissom quietly said to her.

"I know, me too babe. I promise, I'll try harder to get use to not having Leo with me all the time"

"Don't be sorry baby, I know it's hard. But I know you are a strong woman and in time you'll get used to leaving him with others"

"Thank you for understanding Griss, I love you" Sara said kissing his cheek.

"I love you too baby" Grissom said moving his head to look at her.

They smiled at one another and leaned in to kiss each other. When they broke the kiss the rested their foreheads against each other and continued to dance.

"Sar, what would you say if we went on a mini date on Sunday?"

"What do you mean by a mini date?" she giggled.

"Well, I know you don't want to be away from Leo but I really want to do something just us, so how about you and me leave Leo with either one of our parents or Greg and go out for just an hour. We can do anything you want, go anywhere you want, you just name it and we'll do it" Grissom explained.

Sara smiled "Okay, let's try it"

"Really" Grissom smiled.

Sara giggled and nodded "Sure, it'll only be an hour and if it gets too much I know you'll take me back to him."

Grissom kissed her and said "I love you baby, I'm so proud to be your fiance"

Sara smiled "About that, we haven't talked about this whole marriage thing, not that I want to get married right now, I'm happy just being engaged and with how our family is right now but we've not spoke about when we want to actually get married"

"Well I was thinking that if we stay engaged till we're at least in stable jobs and have a place of our own then we can talk about a wedding, if that's okay with you?"

"Sounds perfect babe, we don't need a piece of paper to tell us we love each other and plus it gives us something to look forward to in the future" Sara said smiling at him.

"It sure does baby, it sure does"

The couple continued to dance together for many more songs when they noticed Greg and Morgan return to the dance floor with Leo.

"Here Greg, pass the little man to me, you go dance with your girl for a bit" Grissom said taking his son into his arms.

"Thanks Griss, dance with me Morgan?" Greg asked holding his hand out.

Morgan smiled and took his hand, the pair began dancing. Grissom noticed the rest of their friends all in their couples dancing together and smiled. He made his way back to Sara and passed Leo to her knowing she'd want him back in her arms. He then wrapped his arms around them both and the three began to dance.

"Next time can we have a girl?" Grissom whispered to Sara.

"NEXT TIME!"

Grissom laughed "We can't let Leo grow up without siblings now, can we?"

"Maybe in a few years Griss, once we have our own place and have good jobs" Sara smiled.

"Fine, as long as we get a little girl that looks like you, that's all I'm asking" Grissom said as they continued to dance.

Sara smiled "Whatever you want baby, just wait a few years"

They danced the rest of the night away, just as they all were leaving to make their way back to the limo, which was going to pick them all up and take them home, Sara decided she needed the toilet quickly.

"I'll be 2 minutes Griss" she said kissing his cheek and leaving to go to the bathroom.

As she made her way out the toilet she saw Sophia, Heather and Teri all standing by the sinks.

"Well well well, looks who showed her face to prom" Teri said.

Sara ignored Teri and made her way to the sink to wash her hands, she wasn't going to let these girls ruin her night.

"Surprised you turned up, seen you brought the little brat with you too" Heather said.

"He's not a brat, he's a beautiful baby boy. MY beautiful baby boy" Sara said calmly.

Sophia laughed "If he looks anything like you I doubt he's beautiful"

The three girls all laughed, Sara remind calm and dried her hands. She made her way to leave when the three girls stood in front of her.

"Excuse me" Sara said trying to push past them.

"Not so fast" Sophia said pushing Sara back into the sinks.

Sara winced in pain as the sink hit her back.

"Now, you've made everyone think we're bullies. None of the boys want to date us or even talk to us because of you! We're going to get a little bit of pay back" Sophia the leader of the trio said.

"It's not my fault people think that. Actions speak louder than words" Sara replied back to her.

"It's all your fault!" Heather shouted at her.

Sophia grabbed the necklace from Sara's neck and pulled it off her neck.

"No! Give me that back!" Sara shouted.

She tried to reach for it but Teri and Heather had a hold of her.

Sophia laughed and threw the necklace on the ground. She then grabbed a handful of Sara's hair and threw her to the floor as the other girls let go of her.

Tears began to form in Sara's eyes "Please stop, just leave me alone. I won't tell anyone about this"

The three girls just laughed and continued to pull at Sara's hair, ruin her dress and spit on her. Sara shouted for help and tried to get away from them but couldn't.

Meanwhile Grissom and the others were wondering what was taking Sara so long.

"I'll go check on her" Catherine said to the others as she made her way to the bathrooms.

"Nick, would you take Leo? I'm just going to go with Cath, something doesn't feel right" Grissom said handing the chair with the baby in it to Nick.

Grissom ran towards the girls bathroom, Warrick and Greg followed him. The others made their way to the limo and safely clipped Leo's seat in. When Catherine, Grissom, Warrick and Greg got to the bathroom they heard Sara shouting for help. They ran straight in to see Sara on the floor her dress ruined, her hair a mess, tears streaming down her face and the three girls attacking her.

"Get off her, NOW" Grissom shouted as he grabbed Sophia, while Greg and Warrick grabbed the other two and pushed them off of Sara.

Grissom took Sara into his arms and held her as she cried. Warrick told Catherine to go get the security guy who was at the entrance of the building while he and Warrick kept an eye on the other girls who were pushed into the opposite side of the room away from Sara.

"Baby, are you okay?" Grissom asked Sara holding her close to him.

"My necklace, she broke it Griss, the one my dad gave me"

"Where is it?"

Sara pointed to the corner of the room where Sophia had thrown it, he quickly grabbed it.

"I'll get it fixed for you baby, don't worry. Now are you okay? Did they hurt you?" he asked cupping her face.

Sara nodded "I just want to go home and go to bed with you and Leo."

"We'll do that baby, don't you worry! We can even watch a movie if you'd like, and you can pick" Grissom told her.

Sara nodded her head and hugged Grissom. Just then two security guards entered the bathroom with Catherine who had told them what had happened. They got the three girls and took them to the office to wait on the police who would deal with them. As the bathroom had CCTV which faced the sinks Sara wouldn't have to worry about giving evidence of the attack. The five friends thanked the security guards and left making their way back to the limo, Grissom putting his suit jacket on Sara. When they got in the limo Catherine told their friends what had happened and that it was all being dealt with. Sara just sat quietly next to her baby boy and stared at him, stroking his cheek with her fingers. The trip back home was quiet, everyone had been dropped off expect Grissom, Sara, Leo, Greg and Morgan who was staying the night, she and Greg had officially began dating last month. As they made their way into the house Sara made her way straight to the bedroom not saying a word.

Grissom and Greg shared a look.

"She'll be okay in the morning, she just needs time" Greg said.

Grissom nodded and sighed "I'm going to go to bed guys, see you in the morning"

They all said their good nights to each other and made their way to their rooms. Grissom entered Sara and his room and place Leo's chair on the bed. He saw Sara sitting on the bed with tears falling down her face.

He took her in his arms and said "Come on baby, let's get ready for bed."

Sara nodded and followed Grissom to the bathroom. He put the toilet seat down and sat her on it, he then began to take her hair down out of its up do and into a messy bun. He then undressed himself and Sara and turned the shower on. He helped her to wash, taking her makeup and getting ride of the dirt marks the horrible girls hand left on her. He then helped her out and wrapped her in a towel, they both brushed their teeth before heading back in their bedroom. He led Sara to the bed and told her he'd get her some pyjamas to wear. Once he had checked to make sure Leo was still asleep in his chair he got them both some pyjamas and dressed them both. He then helped Sara into bed before getting Leo out of his chair and changing his nappy and putting him in one of his night time baby grows. He then gently placed Leo into his cot next to their bed and got into bed next to Sara.

He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close to him, she began to cry.

"Hey, hey, it's okay! No need to cry baby!"

"I tired to get away from them Griss but they pinned me down"

"I know baby, but don't you worry, they'll never hurt you again. I'm so sorry I wasn't there to protect you"

"It's not your fault, you couldn't have known they were going to do that"

"I know but I still should have been there!"

"You came to the recuse in the end Griss, thank you. You always have been my knight in shining armour" she told him kissing him

"I'll always try my hardest to protect you Sar, you and out little boy. I promise" he told her kissing her again.

Their kiss grew more passionate, Grissom broke it off.

"We can't Sar" Grissom said.

"Actually, we can. I had my check up yesterday and the doctor said as long as we are careful" Sara said smiling at him.

"Are you sure?"

Sara smiled and kissed him, he knew he had his answer. They never did get to watching a movie.
