Recalling his humanity was odd. Not that it was too different from his own morals, but being in space had somewhat dulled his once glaring differences. It was painfully obvious how human Lance had been born, only to have the Galra mold him. Both sides saw it clearly, and despite not wanting to acknowledge any agreement, they both saw him just out of the human influence, and just out of alien DNA.

Lance didn't mind though. Too far from either made it easier to begin the process of relaxing the absolute control in the empire. He looked forward to showing Lotor his plans to begin a Galran move into the Milky Way, using the uninhabited planets and moons as their permenant homes and colonies.

He had situated the humans together with the two Alteans in rather comfortable quarters, not yet trusted to walk around safely. Who knew who would attack who first. There were still more than a few Galran who wanted to see Lotor dead either for their right to claim the empire, or their devout loyalty to their dead leader.

Lance was waiting for one to try and kill him as it stood. The only paladin now standing without Galran blood.

He approached his brother's room to drop off his plan when he heard something.

"Set the plan in motion. I trust you will see it through."

Lance paused, unsure of who Lotor was talking to. With no verbal response, he assumed Narti. He took a few steps back, then began walking forward just as Narti opened the door to leave the room.

"Hey Narti! Hey Kova! Don't tell me Lotor is in a mood." he joked. Narti, as always, didn't say a word. But her body seemed a bit stiff. He kept his own posture relaxed, as if he didn't notice her extra stiffness. She never stiffened because of him. What had she and Lotor been talking about in there.

"Lance, if you could step in for a moment," Lotor requested from the room. Lance gave Narti a quick and playful salute just before walking into the room Lotor was in.

He geuninely smiled seeing Lotor somewhat relaxed.

"Hey Lolo. What's going on?"

"I have a mission for you."

"Oh do tell brother dearest," he mocked Lotor.

"I want you to escort the humans, back to your home planet."

Lance felt his body freeze.

"You want me to return to Earth?" His jaw slack.

"To escort them home Lance. I assure you, I know your ideals to move the Empire into the Milky Way. We wouldn't want to upset our new neighbors by just appearing though."

Lance snapped his mouth shut.

"You would have a ship and a crew with you, along with the Red Lion."

"Lotor, I couldn't."

"Zarcon is gone Lance. You have been kept from your planet for so long, and no doubt your birth family."

"But I wanted you to be there with me. I was going to introduce you to Mama. And my older sister," he couldn't help the whine that crept into his tone.

"Wasn't she the one who mixed water and dirt and convinced you it was a popular child's drink?"

"Yes..."

"Perhaps I am fortunate enough to wait to meet her then," Lotor commented. Lance punched his shoulder playfully.

"Just you wait. Once I get back, I'm going to make sure you're set to come see Earth and all it's beauty."

"I can't wait."

"So when do I leave?"

"As soon as you're ready."

Lance threw his arms around Lotor's body, holding him tight as a few tears escaped his eyes.

"I am going to miss you."

Slowly, Lotor's arms encircled Lance.

"I know."

A watery laugh escaped Lance.

"You narcissist."

Lotor didn't deny Lance's claims.

"You should prepare. So we may meet again soon."

"Vrepit Sa," Lance responded with salute. Lotor snorted.

"Verpit Sa. Little Brother."

It was akin to his early training days, feeling so nervous. The crew all were Galra who had proved their loyalty to his brother, one of his generals, or even Lance himself. A safe group to travel with back to the very planet he was born to. A few were even prepared to begin to colonize some of Jupiter's moons so the Galran's would have a home base and starting point.

But what had him the most nervous was the wait for the "transfer". His job was to take all the humans back home. So he had the once-Paladins, Matt, and one more who would be arriving just before they left.

"Vrepit Sa, Red Paladin," a voice broke him from his thoughts. He turned to see a squad of three Galran transporters standing in attention before him.

"Vrepit Sa. Is this the transfer?" Lance inquired, trying to keep his tone serious and calm.

"It is."

Lance motioned for the one in front to step aside. There was no hesitation to comply as he moved, revealing a tired and weary looking man. Lance held his form as a human, hiding his cheek marks, the elogated ears, and keeping his longer hair his natural brown. He gave a warm smile to the obviously confused man.

"You three are free to return to your scheduled post, or may take a detour for a quick refreshment," Lance dismissed, "I can handle things from here."

The three Galran soliders saluted him and then left, leaving the poor once prisoner in Lance's hands.

"So. Shower or food?"

"Excuse me?" the man stared at him with wide eyes.

"I'm thinking you should get a shower and we can prep food for later. If you don't mind? C'mon. Let's walk and talk," Lance spoke calmly as he led the man to a surprise. Granted, the man could use a shower and a good meal. But considering how his children were, he figured there was something a little more important to do.

He got a slight spring to his step trying to anticipate the reactions. The humans no doubt had already been taken to the ship they would be departing in. So he walked aboard with the very confused scientist.

The man seemed to weary or wise to try and make a run for it thankfully. Lance didn't want to have drag the poor man to see his children. He talked about different foods he could try, the lovely seasons in space, whatever came to mind to serve as a distraction.

He had talked nonstop for nearly twenty minutes when he finally made it to the human wing. It was just seen safer for them to have their own space apparently.

He opened the door to the section without hesitation and casually stepped forward.

He grinned, seeing the two individuals he wanted to surprise right inside. Well, they all were, no doubt questioning if this was even safe.

"Lance!" Hunk yelled happily. Lance threw his arms wide, partially to recieve a hug, partially to block his special surprise. The hug however was a bit more than expected as he was lifted off the ground and out of view blocking range.

"Dad?" he heard both Matt and his sister say. As much as he loved Hunk's hugs apparently, he really wanted to have seen their reaction.

"Matt? Katie?"

"Dad!" he heard the siblings cry out in elation.

He heard them run towards each other. No doubt embracing one another. And even if he couldn't see it, he could just feel that everything was going to be alright in the universe.

Been awhile...

But with the virus scare and having a job in a grocery store, I'm taking the opportunity of you lovely readers possibly being bored to write and post.

That and I finally got hit with how I want to move the story forward.
