This one has my own spin on it, so I hope you like it!

Chapter 35: Real Heroes

Legs crossed as she meditated, Nora calmed her breathing. Her mind went to the fight against Grinders, when she had embraced her power and unlocked Ancient Mystic armour, which should only have been something she worked towards when she finished her studies.

So now, to control it, without anyone around who knew the intricacies of the Ancient Mystic Mode - neither Ari nor Xander knew much about it - only Chip, of the 6 Mystics, had ever unlocked such a form, when he'd been training to become a Knight.

"Nora!" she jumped, and opened her eyes with a low growl.

"Ziggy, if you do that one more time, I'll ghost you," she warned as he approached her.

"Sorry," he apologised, but was still grinning. Nora rolled her eyes. After Fresno Bob had cleared his debt, Ziggy had been almost unbearably happy.

And she hated how happy that made her.

"What do you want?" she sighed, stretching her legs out in front of her as the peace of the small area outside the garage was ruined.

"Well, it's a nice day and everyone seems busy, I wanted to go for...a walk," he finished, somewhat lamely. Nora arched an eyebrow at him.

"A walk," she said dryly, and Ziggy nodded.

"Nobody else wants to go. Flynn and Spencer are working on Dillon's car again, Teddie's at practice, Arianna's out, I don't even know where Summer and Dillon are," Ziggy complained.

"So I'm your last option?" Nora asked, and his eyes widened.

"No! I was asking everyone and I couldn't find you till Flynn…" he trailed off, seeming to be thinking about something.

"Sure," he was surprised by Nora's answer, and stared as she got to her feet. "What?" she asked, tilting her head a little.

"Nothing!" he exclaimed. Nora watched him for a moment longer, before sighing.

"I'll get my jacket," she turned and headed back inside as Ziggy grinned.

Ziggy was right, it was a nice day. Even Nora couldn't help but relax as they walked through the streets of Corinth, enjoying the warmth carried on a light wind.

"This was a good call. It's been too stuffy in the garage," she commented, stretching her arms up. Ziggy hummed his agreement, but couldn't help but glance at Nora. He was surprised that she had said yes, especially considering the last time he'd asked.

"What?" Nora asked, glancing at him, and he jumped, looking away.

"Just, wondering why you came out," he shrugged, feeling a little embarrassed. Nora frowned at him, not entirely understanding his comment.

"Why wouldn't I?" she asked, and elbowed his arm. "It's not like I don't enjoy hanging out with you, y'know," she grumbled.

"Really?" Ziggy asked, looking happy at her words. Nora blushed, and she berated herself for such words.

"How touching," they both looked up quickly, hearing Kilobyte's sneer. "We meet again, little girl," he greeted Nora, who glared at him. Behind the tall General, a new Attackbot, complete with a small satellite dish on its head, beeped loudly.

"You don't scare me anymore," she growled, but even she didn't completely believe her words. He just chuckled as Ziggy reached for his engine cell.

"I'm sure," Kilobyte drawled. "You know, with all that power, you'd make a fine ally for Venjix," he considered, and ran a hand along the pipes on his head. "Grinders. Kill the Ranger, but keep her alive," he ordered, and Grinders popped up from behind, rushing the two.

"Never gonna happen!" Nora threw out a hand, chanting a spell that called on the sword she'd left in her room. It appeared in her hand, and she swung, blocking the Grinders from getting to Ziggy.

"RPM, GET IN GEAR!" Ziggy took the chance to Morph, grabbing his axe. Kilobyte watched, chuckling, as the two fought off the Grinders.

"That should be enough data," he considered, and the SatBot beeped again, lights starting to flash through what appeared to be eyes. "Prepare to initiate on my command," he said. Kilobyte then drew his sword, and Ziggy yelped as he narrowly avoided the powerful swing.

"Hey, creep!" Kilobyte glanced at Nora at her yell, and blocked her sword as it came swinging down towards his face. He grunted, before catching Ziggy as he spun towards him with his giant axe.

"How sad," with a sigh, Kilobyte shoved both back. Ziggy was carried back by the overbearing weight of his axe, and Nora was grabbed by multiple Grinders. "Stay there until this is done," he told her, turning towards Ziggy, and Nora gave a quiet laugh.

"I already told you, it ain't gonna happen!" she declared. "Corum Oviat Ditrum!" there was a flash of red light, and when it faded, the Grinders holding Nora had been turned into robotic sheep.

"You're quickly starting to wear down my patience," Kilobyte warned as he tossed the axe aside and turned to Nora.

"A lot of people have said that about me," she gave a mocking smile. With a yell, Kilobyte raised his sword, and flung a powerful wave of energy towards her.

"Nora!" Ziggy tackled her out of the way, and was blown off his feet by the resulting explosion. The pair hit the ground, and as the Green Ranger saw his energy levels dropping faster than usual, he noticed Nora's own shallow breathing. "I have to get you outta here," he helped her up, and Nora's brow furrowed.

"Please tell me you're not going to-" she cut herself off with a squeak as he pulled her into his arms. She didn't have long to react, as he pressed a button on his Morpher, and the pair disappeared in a flash of green.

"Ziggy!" Dillon shouted, seeing the pair vanish.

"He teleported...let's hope the lad has improved," Flynn muttered as the team faced Kilobyte.

"Ah, perfect timing," the General sneered at them. "I'm all out of patience, and my Attackbot here is ready to show what he can do," he announced.

"I can see why you hate this guy," Arianna commented as the Attackbot beeped again, stepping forwards. Teddie hummed, glaring at Kilobyte.

"Let's finish him off, once and for all!" Scott shouted. "Ready?"

"Ready!" Kilobyte chuckled as the Rangers grabbed their Engine Cells.

"RPM, GET IN GEAR!"

"Now!" Kilobyte shouted to the Satbot. As the team Morphed, the Attackbot's eyes flashed again, and the satellite on its head started emitting waves. Instead of Morphing, the Rangers let out cries of pain and fell to their knees.

"What's he...done to us?" Summer cried, hands to her head as a screeching pain bounced around her head.

"I've blocked your ability to Morph," Kilobyte laughed as he watched them on the ground. "Thanks to the data that my Satbot collected, it jams the signals you give when attempting to connect to the Morphin' Grid. Master Venjix may not have found a way to claim that just yet, but this will certainly help," he taunted.

"So...all we have to do is…" Teddie started, pushing herself to unsteady feet. "Destroy your Satbot," her hands lit up with golden energy.

"Please," Kilobyte laughed, raising his sword. "Without your suits, you're useless. As weak as the rest of the humans you protect," he taunted. He then moved his sword to block Arianna's Mercurian powers, as they shot out as a jet towards him. Kilobyte grunted, forced back a step.

"We need to regroup," Scott warned the team, well aware of how dangerous Kilobyte was to go up against without their suits. "Let's go," he told them.

"Let's hope Ziggy made it back okay with Nora too," Annie muttered, and she and Teddie glanced to each other. The two then made a series of hand-gestures, causing a large explosion of smoke to burst up in front of the team. Kilobyte watched as the gentle wind carried the smoke away, revealing the team had vanished.

"Run while you can, Rangers," Kilobyte taunted quietly.

Ziggy and Nora reappeared in a flash, both stumbling. When he released Nora, Ziggy fell backwards with a cry.

"So much for the mighty Green Ranger," she sighed, blinking rapidly in hopes that it would allow her to see. Unfortunately, the blinding darkness remained as thick as ever. "Where are we?" Nora wondered, snapping her fingers and conjuring a small torch. The flames illuminated their surroundings, revealing rock walls and ceiling. "Underground. Of course," Nora said dryly, offering Ziggy her hand.

"Thanks," he grumbled, getting to his feet. "Uh...what now?" he wondered, looking around at the cave he'd teleported them into.

"Do you have enough energy to teleport us again?" Nora asked.

"I-I think so," he nodded as she planted the torch in the dirt. Clearing his throat, Ziggy took a hold of her arm, but as he went to press the button on his Morpher, pain suddenly seemed to split his head open.

"Ziggy?" Nora gasped as he let out a yell, staggering and putting his hands to his head and pressing to try and stop the pain. She caught him as he demorphed, unable to keep himself standing. "What's wrong?" she asked, sinking to the ground with him.

"I can't...it hurts…" he groaned, feeling light-headed from the pain. He fought desperately to stay conscious, and after what felt like forever, the pain finally lessened.

"What was that?" Nora asked as his breathing evened.

"I don't know...I've never felt something like that before," he admitted.

"Are you okay now?" Nora asked, and Ziggy nodded. He looked warily at his Morpher, and found that the lights on it had faded.

"Maybe," he gulped, showing her. She frowned, trying to understand what was wrong with it. "I don't think I can Morph again..." he explained. Nora stared at him, and for a moment, he saw her worry. Then it was gone, and she offered a confident smile.

"Then let's find a way out," Nora helped him to his feet, and when she was sure he wasn't about to collapse again, she lifted the torch. "There's a tunnel that way. Come on," she started moving, and Ziggy watched, guilt surfacing. He was the Ranger, and she was once again being the confident one helping him. "Ziggy, come on," Nora called, seeing him standing there.

"R-right," he nodded, hurrying after her.

Dr. K was already working frantically when the Rangers got back to the Garage. Cassie, Gem and Gemma were just as focused on what they were doing, barely even conversing with each other.

"Doc, what happened out there?" Scott asked as he led the charge into the lab.

"It felt like my head was about to cave in," Teddie complained, still feeling shaky.

"When Ranger Green Morphed, the Sat-Bot took a copy of the signal output when you connect to the Biofield," Dr. K explained, barely looking up as she typed quickly. "Meaning when you all attempted to Morph, it used its own signals to block yours, resulting in intense pain," she explained.

"No kidding," Dillon grumbled.

"Is there a way to stop it? Without our Ranger powers, we can't take Kilobyte on," Arianna asked, hands together. She tried to hide her irritation at finally being able to fight again, and immediately having her Ranger powers blocked.

"I'm working on something for that now," Dr. K explained, continuing to work. "It'll be temporary, but if it works, it'll give enough time to take out the Satbot," she told them.

"Where is Ziggy?" Dillon asked, seeing no sign of the Green Ranger.

"We haven't had any sort of communication from him or Nora," Dr. K provided more bad news. "And I've been unable to locate or contact either of them," she sighed.

"Could they have teleported into the Waste?" Flynn asked.

"The teleportation capabilities don't span that far," Dr. K denied, to their relief.

"That's something at least. How far could they have gone?" Scott asked as he went to one of the screens. Dr. K got up and followed him over.

"This is the distance that Ranger Green is capable of traveling," Dr. K highlighted several miles out from Ziggy's last location.

"Okay. While you work on a way to get us back up and running, we'll find Ziggy and Nora," Scott decided.

"Didn't we just get Ziggy out of trouble?" Annie complained.

"Um," Teddie started, uncertainty in her voice that made everyone look at her. "Dr. K said that she couldn't contact them. And teleportation doesn't just work...horizontally. Could they maybe have gone…" she looked at the ground, and for a moment everyone was quiet.

"Teddie is correct," Dr. K confirmed as she returned to her work. "There is a chance that they may have wound up underground, considering Ranger Green's ineptitude with his suit's ability," she warned them, and they all groaned.

"Then how will we know if they're still…" Summer trailed off.

"They are," Dr. K's confidence surprised them. "If anything happens to any of you, I'll know about it," she stared at her screen, hands stilled for a moment.

"And there's no way the lad is gonna let anything happen to Nora," Flynn said confidently, managing a grin.

"Other way around there," Dillon smirked.

"Okay. Just in case, we'll search where we can. Teddie, do what you can," Scott ordered the White Ranger, who gave a salute. "We'll find them, and take down the Satbot," he grinned to his team. Inspired by his confidence, the rest of the Rangers nodded, and hurried out to find their missing friends.

"Dammit," Nora hissed a curse as they came to another dead end.

"Come on, I think I saw another side-path this way," Ziggy tried to stay upbeat, pulling Nora's jacket sleeve as he led the way back down a tunnel they'd been moving through. "Still no light," he murmured as they moved down the way he had spotted.

"Air," Nora muttered, and he looked at her, confused. "Try to find where the air smells fresher. That'll help," she elaborated, and he nodded, sniffing. The air smelled stale and warm, with some trace of moisture. The tunnel then expanded, and the two looked around the new cave, with moss covering the walls. "Nice, we might find something this way," Nora nodded, poking at some of the moss to make it squelch.

"Right," Ziggy murmured, and Nora glanced at him. She then sighed.

"Let's take a break. We've been walking for ages," he turned to her, confused. When they'd been in the Waste, she'd wanted as few breaks as possible. He found that she was already sitting on a rock, moving her foot to stretch.

"Do you think the others are looking for us?" he wondered, taking a seat as well. Nora tilted her head.

"Of course they are. For one thing, you're part of their team-"

"We," Ziggy corrected, and Nora frowned. "We're both part of the team," he said, voice barely audible. Nora bit her lip, unable to stop her smile.

"Right," she nodded. "We're part of their team. They won't just leave us here. And for another thing, Dillon is pretty attached to you at this point. He'll come looking alright," she laughed, and Ziggy joined in.

"He'll kick your butt for saying that," he warned.

"He has to catch me first," Nora snorted.

"Now you sound like Teddie," Ziggy teased her, earning another laugh.

"I do. Gods," Nora ran a hand through her hair, which was now coated in dust and dirt from moving around the narrow tunnels.

"Thanks, Nora," Ziggy's words surprised her, and her laughter died as she tilted her head.

"For what?" she asked, confused. Ziggy looked over at her, before clearing his throat and getting to his feet.

"For guiding this clueless guy around," he forced a laugh. "Come on, we should keep moving," he told her. Nora stood slowly, looking a little confused.

"Okay," she nodded, wondering what was wrong as he led the way down through the cave.

Teddie winced as she stood in the area where Kilobyte and the Satbot had been earlier that day.

"Careful," Heckyl put a hand on her shoulder, steadying her. "Didn't you say you shouldn't be using magic in high doses?" he asked as Teddie took a deep breath, willing her magic to settle.

"If Ziggy and Nora are underground, they might be trapped, or lost in a maze," she pointed out. "I need to find them," she muttered.

"If they're even underground," Heckyl said, earning a glare that he met evenly. "Don't give me that look. You're the one who needs the advice to relax now and again," he told her, and Teddie grumbled, turning away.

"I hate that you're right," she complained, and he gave a playful flick of her hair.

"Then you must hate me a lot," this time he earned an exasperated look. "The point is, if they're not underground, you may be risking yourself for nothing. And you know I'm not going to let you do that," he told her.

"Wow, you really are fond of me," Teddie teased, and he rolled his eyes.

"I know, it surprises me constantly," he said dryly. She stuck out her tongue at him, before focusing back on what she was doing again. This time she kept herself reigned in, using a mix of her Earth magic, and her Ninja skills, to try and locate any kind of change below.

"I wonder how Nora unlocked that kinda magic," Teddie spoke suddenly, eyes open but not entirely focused on what was around her.

"She's from a powerful family, is she not?" Heckyl asked, keeping his gaze fixed on Teddie, ready to step in if she lost control.

"Well yeah," Teddie allowed. "But that sorta power normally comes from a lot of training. My parents said it took Chip years to unlock it, and even longer to master it," she considered.

"This is outside of my area of knowledge," Heckyl shrugged as Teddie started to move, only partly aware that she was doing it. Teddie laughed lightly.

"I guess. But it's outside of mine too. And I hate not knowing things," she complained, and sighed. "I just hope we can find them before anything happens. To them or us," Teddie considered.

"Let's hope that this Attackbot blocking your Morphing doesn't lead to anything worse," Heckyl commented, and Teddie didn't reply, having been thinking the same thing.

As the two continued their search underground, both Ziggy and Nora found themselves needing more and more breaks.

"It still doesn't seem any fresher," Ziggy said as he took a seat. Nora sat down beside him, wiping the sweat from her face where it streaked through the dirt.

"It doesn't," she confirmed his fears, leaning forward to rest her elbows on her knees.

"I'm sorry," Ziggy apologised, putting his head in his hands as Nora glanced at him. "This is my fault. If I was better with my teleporting - if I hadn't asked you to go on a walk-"

"Hey," Nora stopped him as he berated himself. She put a hand on his arm gently. "You were trying to protect me from Kilobyte. And as for the walk, well, I was glad to get out of the Garage for a bit. It helped keep my mind off...everything," she chuckled, and coughed. "The air...there's no fresh air. We're running low," she realised.

"We need to keep going," Ziggy said, but Nora stopped him.

"The best thing we can do now is stay in one place, keep our breathing even, and...stop the fire," she glanced at their torch reluctantly. "Fire burns oxygen. It'll be dark, but it'll help," Nora told him. Ziggy was quiet for a moment, before nodding. Nora snapped her fingers, and the flames went out with a quiet hiss. They were then quiet for a moment, before Ziggy took a breath.

"I'm sorry…"

"I told you already, you don't have to apologise. I wanted to go for a walk with you," Nora was grateful for the dark now.

"No, I mean about everything. I'm a useless Ranger," he gave a weak laugh. "You're the one who always ends up helping me. Like when you saved me in the waste, or even when you helped me against Tenaya," Ziggy listed. "Even here, you were the one telling me it was okay. I should be-"

"Ziggy," Nora cut him off, staring at where she thought he was. "You're ridiculous. You're a Power Ranger. You aren't useless, because you actually go out there and help protect Corinth from Venjix. I'm the one who's a fake. I act tough and I have this power, but I just let you guys go out there and fight for me," she muttered, unable to stop herself. "You've actually fought Venjix himself, and everyone he's thrown at you, and you still keep fighting. That's not useless," she insisted. "You-" Nora stopped when she heard him move, and an uncertain hand found its way to her face, a touch too high.

Nora wasn't sure how to breathe as the awkward hand found its way down to her cheek, angling her head slightly higher, before he kissed her. It was clumsy and rough, with his nose bumping hers, and it took a moment longer for her to register before she reached out in the dark, fingers grasping at his jacket as she kissed back.

"You aren't a fake," Ziggy muttered as he pulled back slightly. Nora breathed heavily, finding it hard to try and catch her breath as her heart pounded hard against her chest.

"You're such an idiot," she laughed, making him grin and kiss her again. It only lasted a moment, though, as Nora drew back. "We need to save air," she whispered a reminder.

"R-right," Ziggy stammered, embarrassed as his own heart felt like it was about to explode. He sat back, and jumped as Nora's fingers linked with his. She shuffled, and leaned against him; breathing low and controlled. Glad the dark hid his wide grin, Ziggy leaned his head to hers, and for once, kept quiet.

"Out of hiding?" Kilobyte sneered as he and the Satbot found the rest of the Rangers. "And what's this? No Green or White? You Rangers truly do show the arrogance of humanity," he laughed, running his hand along the pipes on his head.

"Oh sure, we're the arrogant ones," Flynn muttered dryly.

"Teddie's on her way," Scott muttered to the team, grabbing his Morpher. "Doc, is it ready yet?" he asked her hopefully.

"Almost," he bit back a complaint, and returned his Morpher to his side.

"Okay, then it's the old-fashioned way," he sighed. The Rangers nodded, moving to fighting positions, and raced towards the two Attackbots.

"Ha!" Kilobyte fired a blast of red energy at them, which Spencer and Arianna managed to block with their shields. They stumbled backwards, leaving the rest of the team free to keep going. Annie's boot collided with Kilobyte's face, and he stumbled backwards as she flipped. "Pathetic!" he shouted, swinging an arm and catching Scott. The Red Ranger slammed against a wall hard enough he bounced off it, and fell forwards.

"Scott!" Summer cried, and as Kilobyte lasted out at her, Dillon blocked it. He flinched at the pain, and Summer moved around him to kick Kilobyte in the side.

"Subject D-44. Still fighting even with his sister lost to him," Kilobyte taunted, and grabbed Summer. "Can you fight without your sweet Yellow Ranger?" he asked, before slamming her into a wall. Dillon's eyes blazed with fury as Summer sank to the ground with a groan.

"You'll regret that," he snarled, dodging Kilobyte's next attack. He punched hard, and Kilobyte glanced to the dent as he was pushed back.

"The virus grows steadily in you," he sneered, before Flynn knocked Dillon aside and with a hard kick, shoved Kilobyte backwards.

"Don't lose it now," he warned, and Dillon shook his head. Blood pounded in his ears with rage, and while he knew Flynn was right, he didn't care. He wanted Kilobyte's head ripped from his shoulders.

"Dillon!" Annie was suddenly there and shoving him away. "Sort out the Satbot!" she shouted before Kilobyte knocked her away from him.

"You don't give the orders," the Black Ranger reminded.

"Well I do. Go!" Scott shouted as he leapt onto Kilobyte's back. "Go!" Scott repeated louder this time, before he was tossed aside, and after another moment of hesitation, Dillon ran towards the Attackbot, who was defending itself easily against Arianna.

"Watch out!" she called to the Black Ranger, before the Satbot rammed into him with its shoulder. Dillon grunted, knocked backwards as the air escaped his lungs in one painful burst. "Dillon!" the Mercury Ranger stepped between them, kicking the Attackbot backwards. It beeped again, seeming angry, and lashed out with a powerful arm. It collided with Arianna, making her cry out as she fell backwards into Dillon.

"Hey!" Teddie's shout reached them before she appeared, leaping through the air. Her kick knocked the Attackbot backwards, and it stumbled away from the other two Rangers.

"Teddie, nice timing!" Arianna smiled with relief, and Teddie nodded.

"Any idea how much longer it's gonna take?" she asked, letting an energy ball light up. She threw it at Kilobyte, knocking him off just enough that his strike whistled over Spencer's head.

"Thanks!" he shouted over to her, and she nodded. Their Morphers then beeped, and Scott grabbed his quickly as he stumbled backwards, his leg feeling like it was burning from the pain.

"The signal is now live!" Dr. K announced. "Scott, you'll have enough time for one attack. Make it count,' she instructed.

"Affirmative," Scott nodded. The Satbot began to beep; its eyes flashing.

"What?" Kilobyte glanced at it, confused.

"Use the Rail Saber!" Spencer shouted to Scott as he grabbed his Engine Cell.

"Right! RPM, GET IN GEAR!" he Morphed into his Red Suit, calling on the newest piece of their arsenal. "Activate Engine Cells!" he called, using two Cells connected to the PaleoZords, before using his own to combine his blaster with it. "Rail Saber, fire!" Scott rushed in, striking the Satbot with his powerful blade, following up with a powerful blast of energy.

"No!" Kilobyte shouted as the shot ripped through the Satbot's armour. The lights faded, and it beeped one more time before exploding.

"Nice!" the others laughed as Kilobyte sighed.

"Begin the download," he ordered, and as the Satbot returned, growing much larger, he slipped off.

"Let's end this," Scott called.

"Ready?"

"Ready!"

"RPM, GET IN GEAR!" the rest Morphed, ready to fight the giant Attackbot.

"Ranger Series Green," Dr. K tried contacting Ziggy for the fourth time, having been doing so from the moment the Satbot had been destroyed. "If you still have access to your Morpher, please be aware that it is now back online," she repeated her message, hoping for some kind of response. The other four in the lab stood behind her, quiet. "The link is open, meaning his Morpher is still active. He should respond," Dr. K murmured.

A moment later, there was a flash of Green, and they whirled around as Ziggy crashed to the ground, immediately demorphing as he moved so that Nora landed on him.

"Guys!" Gem and Gemma led the rush over to the pair, who were breathing heavily.

"It...worked…" Ziggy muttered, barely conscious.

"Or we're dead…" Nora gave a weak laugh, before completely blacking out. Dr. K knelt beside her, examining the girl.

"Oxygen deprivation. They were just in time," she realised. As Gem and Gemma lifted Ziggy to put him on one of the cots nearby, Heckyl helped Cassie move Nora over to the other.

"Will they be okay?" Cassie asked. Dr. K nodded.

"They need some rest, but...yes," she confirmed, and the twins high-fived with laughs as the others let out the tense breaths they'd been holding.

"Go for RPM UltraZord!" Scott shouted. Each of the RPM Zords raced through the city, coming together to form their powerful Megazord.

"Let's put this guy out of our misery," Teddie grinned as Scott lifted the Road Attack Zord.

"Right!" he nodded with a smile. "Engine Cell, activate! Road Attack!" he threw the Zord out, letting it grow. It collided with the Satbot, and with a powerful punch, it broke through the satellite on its head.

"Road Attack, Burnout!" the Rangers shouted together as the Road Attack Zord changed to a wheel, letting them hit it hard. It slammed into the Attackbot, making it stagger as it sparked and beeped in warning.

"Engage Wheel Blasters!"

"Combine weapons!" the Gold and Silver Rangers altered their own weapons.

"Fire!" with one powerful strike that harnessed the energy of all the Zords and their Megazord combinations, the UltraZord smashed through the Satbot, destroying it.

"This isn't over…" Kilobyte vowed as he watched from below.

Nora sat outside the Garage, looking up at the night sky above them.

"You know..." she jumped, and gave a low growl.

"Ziggy," she turned to glare as he took a seat beside her. "I swear, I will kill you," she warned, irritated. Ziggy grinned at her, and bumped her lightly with his shoulder.

"It's kinda hard to believe that's not the real night sky sometimes," he continued with what he was saying, as if she hadn't said anything. Nora sighed as she calmed down, and looked back up at the sky projected by the shield.

"Yeah, it is," she agreed quietly. Once the irritation that had come from being startled faded, butterflies started to move in her stomach, as she thought about the events of the day. She still felt tired and a little light-headed, which she'd been advised was normal, but now she was wired, and couldn't bring herself to sleep.

"It's nice. Reminds me of before everything. Even if I was just a screw-up in the Cartels at the time," Ziggy started rambling, and Nora sighed, smiling to herself.

"Ziggy," this time she said his name with a laugh, stopping him from going on about one of the many times he'd messed up. For a moment, neither spoke as they looked at each other, before Nora moved, pushing in close enough to just press her lips lightly to his. She drew back, and blushed as he stared at her with wide eyes.

"You-you ju-just…" he stammered, and she rolled her eyes. "I-I mean, well, it was so dark in the cave, and well, I-" Nora groaned, and kissed him again, effectively shutting him up as he kissed back this time, pulling her closer.

"Idiot," she muttered quietly as she broke away. He looked baffled, but smiled all the same.

"I just thought..." Ziggy started, a little clearer this time. "It was just because…" he trailed off, embarrassed.

"I can't believe it took you this long to realise it," Nora complained.

"Really?" Ziggy tilted his head. She shrugged, looking away in her own embarrassment.

"Yes! Okay?" she grumbled, making him laugh. She stiffened as he put his arms around her, grinning widely.

"Well, same to you," he replied, kissing her again.

"Hey guys, I-oh," they pulled apart quickly when they heard Teddie's voice, but it was too late. She and Flynn were leaning out, hands over their eyes as they giggled. "We were gonna see if you wanted to join for a movie, but I guess not," Teddie giggled.

"Oh, shove off Ted," Nora groaned, a hand to her face as it burned crimson.

"Aye, we'll do just that. Have fun!" Flynn laughed, and as they disappeared back inside, their laughter echoed, and the two groaned.

Like mother like daughter, Teddie is.

I hope you liked it!
