Linda frowned as she watched the bacon sizzle in the skillet. She had another rough night last night, making her dead tired. She offered a small smile to the percolating coffee machine, a sound she loved.

"Do I smell bacon?"

Linda turned around and looked at her husband. "Amazing. Five minutes ago, I couldn't get you outta bed with a crowbar. But put bacon on the stove, and your here like lightning. It's like a sixth sense."

"Seventh."

"Seventh? What's the sixth?"

"The sixth is knowing when you're not feeling good," Danny walked up behind her and snaked his arms around her. "You didn't sleep again last night."

"I know," Linda sighed, annoyed with her sleeping habits lately.

"Everything okay?" He kissed the back of her neck.

"Yeah..."

"Linda," Danny softly warned.

The blonde sighed again, "I don't know. I've been getting a lot of migraines recently, and I'm tired during the day, but awake at night. I don't know what's going on."

"Maybe you're stressed?" Danny pouted himself and Linda a cup of coffee. "I mean, you did just start working again. Maybe it's a little hectic right now?"

"I dunno, Danny. I'll be fine."

"Tell me when you're not?" He placed Linda's mug next to the stove. "Please?"

"I will." She cupped his chin and gave him a quick kiss.

Linda sighed as she exited the boss' office. Now she had to work a week of night shifts. She shook her head as she called Danny.

"Hey, babe. What's up?" At least he sounded like he was in a good mood.

"Hey. Um, listen. I gotta work nights all this week... do you think Henry would mind sitting with the kids till one of us gets home?"

"I'm sure he won't mind, but I'll call him... you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm..." she sighed, "fine."

Danny frowned, "Linda..."

"There's nothing I can do about it. Talk to you later?"

"Sure. Love ya."

"Love you more."

"Love you most." Danny hung up and looked to his partner. "Hey, Baez?"

"Yessir?" She wondered, studying a file.

"What do you do when you're stressed?"

"Usually have a nice, long bubble bath with a nice, big glass of wine. Why?"

"My wife's a little stressed, that's all. She went back to the ER after about ten years of staying at home. I guess it's adjusting everything, y'know?"

"Mhmm." Baez nodded, "She's working nights?"

"All this week..." Danny smiled, "but she'll be okay."

After a long week of night shifts, Linda was glad she had a half day Monday. She counted down the minutes till three o'clock. She was thankful the kid's had an after school activity till five. All she wanted to do was take a nice, hot, long bubble bath. She could drink, too, because the boys' friend was bringing them home.

Linda trudged up the stairs, longing for that bath. She was surprised to see Danny home, sitting on the bed. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing." He walked over to her, "today was stupid paperwork, and I asked the boss if I could take off early. Course... I have to go in early tomorrow..." he shook his head, as if dismissing the thought, "Come on," he grabbed Linda's hand and led her to the en-suite.

Linda smiled widely when she saw the bath already drawn and two wine glasses sitting next to the bottle.

"Oh, I love it when you're randomly romantic!" She hugged him and kissed him passionately. "You're the best, you know?" She smiled, starting to unbutton his shirt.

Danny shrugged, "I ain't gonna argue with that."

"Oh, ego!" Linda giggled. "We'll just see who's the best."

The detective smiled widely. He knew what that meant.
