Demigods are Goode
Chapter Six
Upstairs
Thalia POV
Let me just say that none of us did what Piper asked us to do. We went upstairs, and Leo pulled us into a discussion about what could have made Percy go sort of psycho. We revealed what we knew, and we came to the conclusion that Annabeth did something.
Then we heard footsteps, and Percy walked upstairs. He walked past us, surprising us by saying a friendly hi. "Hey Percy, I thought you hated us!" exclaimed Travis. Percy smiled and said "I like all of you."
Then his smile disappeared. "I just hate Chase over there," and we all looked at the end of the hallway, where Piper and Annabeth were. Percy walked into his room. I really don't like it when people get angry and hurt my best friend's feelings, but if it was Percy, he probably had a valid reason. I told all the girls to follow me, and I walked to Annabeth.
"Annabeth, why is Percy acting like that to you?" asked a concerned looking Hazel. "Yeah, why is he like that?" asked Katie. Annabeth took a deep breath and started to explain. "I said things I shouldn't have said, and did things I shouldn't have done. I'm going to apologize now," "Annabeth, it's not a good tim…" before I could finish, she walked into Percy's room, but left the door open a crack. We could hear Annabeth apologizing earnestly, and believed Annabeth's Seaweed Brain would forgive her immediately.
Well, it appears we didn't know Percy well enough. He whispered "I think I told you to not bother me. I will say what I said in the arena. Annabeth, please. Out." Well, Annabeth is better than Chase, isn't it? However, Annabeth walked out with sadness in her eyes. All the boys looked at the door in complete shock. Then Jason decided to make a move, and went in.
Jason POV
Percy should calm down and relax. Gods, what the heck was Venus doing to him and Annabeth? I entered, and saw Percy looking out the window.
"Hey Perce, calm down. Annabeth is really sorry," I was afraid I crossed the line because Percy looked at me with anger. But his expression changed into tiredness. "I'm really tired, guys. Leave me alone. Please," he said in a weary voice. He gestured toward the door.
Everyone left, except me. I didn't leave. "Percy, you gotta forgive Annabeth. She has her own reasons." I said. "Not you too, Jason. Please leave." " Percy, "I began, but he cut me off. "Grace, get out, I want alone time." "No," I said. "None. Of. Your. Business." Percy said through gritted teeth.
"If you want to stay, fine," then Percy sat on the edge of the bed and began looking out the window. I sat down next to Percy. After about ten minutes I left, closed the door, and went to my room.
Next morning (Friday)
Leo POV
Nico has a weird influence on Percy. One day he looks real happy, the next day he's Nico. No offense, but Nico… yeah. Well, since Captain Toolbelt can't fix the problem, it's serious.
My phone rang, and I answered the call. "Hi Leo," said Calypso. "Hi sunshine, I'm right upstairs. Noneed to call me," then I ran down the stairs to see plates on the table, and they looked like they were stolen from Camp Half-Blood. I pulled a megaphone out of my pocket and shouted "What's up, kids! COme down and eat breakfast!"
I sat down, and started to eat my breakfast. Everybody else joined, even Percy, though he was sitting as far away from Annabeth as possible. He had dark circles under his eyes, and looked fragile? Anyway, we ate breakfast, and went to school.
Jessica POV
Why didn't Percy come to school yesterday? I asked his friends, but they didn't answer. I was determined to find out this time. Again, I was waiting for them inside with friends.
I could see a group coming-maybe it was them-it was them. They walked up to me, and I looked surprised at a kid in black clothes. It was Percy. Black jeans, black v-neck and a black hoodie, maybe a little black eyeliner. He was absolutely gorgeous.
But he looked tired, with dark circles. I walked up to him, despite Piper motioning me 'NO'. "Percy, where were you yest" I started, but Percy said "Go away, Davis," and I was shocked. I never told anyone my last name, how did he find out? Anyway, I was even more shocked that Percy Jackson, the kind, popular boy, could talk like that. I never imagined him being angry at anyone.
"I'm sorry, I'm just very stressed," Percy apologized immediately. I could see that he was stressed out and tired, but why? "If you want to know why I was not at school yesterday, I had some issues," he said. We walked to our first period, then break, then 2nd and 3rd periods, then lunch.
Percy didn't get his lunch. He wasn't even in the cafeteria. Nobody knew where he was, but we all had ideas. Annabeth sid she would go find Percy. All of Percy's Camp Friends said no, but she still went.
Percy POV
I wasn't hungry, so I went to the viewing deck of the pool. I simply loved that place. Especially when I was the only one there. It was calm and peaceful, like the canoe lake at camp.
I heard footsteps, then I saw Annabeth walk up to me. She started to apologize, but I stopped her. "It's okay. I forgive you," I said, then I kissed her. We sat there, not kissing, but watching the swimming pool. I felt like a heavy weight was lifted off my shoulders.
"Percy, what does it feel like to dress like Nico?" asked Annabeth. "Quite good," I said. Annabeth laughed. "It's time to go back, Seaweed Brain," she said, and we went down to the cafeteria, smiling.
When I grabbed my lunch and sat down at the table, everyone looked at me. Leo broke the ice by asking me the same question Annabeth just asked me; "What does it feel like when you dress like Nico?" I answered "Pretty good, actually," and we all laughed. School was fun, and when school ended, Jess asked a question that I had to answer no.
"Percy, where are all of you friends staying? I'd like to go there too," she asked. I answered "I'm sorry, Jess, but you can't go," She said okay, and said "See you and your friends on Saturday!"
