Dylan felt her heart flutter. Shutting her eyes tightly, she ground her teeth together. She sat on a travel flight to France with the boy her father had been working to train.
Bruce insisted she allow the boy to tag along since he was seventeen going on eighteen and was in need of real world experience. It's the only way he agreed to help his daughter travel safely to the one place she may free herself of demons.
She gripped the edge of her seat as the plane began to land causing her to feel like she was free falling through the cloud ridden skies. A splat no sooner met pavement sending shivers riding her spine. Her skin was crawling while the sight of blood in her mind's eye had her gagging.
"You poor dear," Ledger sighed, shaking his head of curls. He softly touched her shoulder.
"We made it. Who exactly are you looking for?" The boy beside her softly spoke, taking her by surprise.
Dylan bounced to her feet, scurrying off the airplane. She bent over to place her hands on her dark jeans. The warm breeze blowing past in the bright sun put her at ease. Her companion joined her, furrowing confused eyebrows. She noted his plump, thick lips were his most prominent feature.
She never thought she'd see the day a boy's lips were what stood out the most. Placing a hand over her forehead to block the sun from blinding her, she furrowed her eyebrows.
"I'm looking for somebody important. Said person can help rid me of my ghost communication skills. I told you I'm a freak. Why's Bruce replacing Jason?" Dylan spoke, not caring to offend the boy.
"This particular professional can also help you channel your gift. You can keep it if you want." Ledger softly piped up, aware the other boy couldn't hear him.
Dylan breathed in, digging deep to connect to the tracking power she gained from the death of her baby brother. She perked up when she took a left.
"He's not replacing anybody!" The boy argued, following after the stubborn brunette.
"Then why did he find it so easy to replace Dick with Jason?" challenged Dylan, stopping under the shade of a coliseum designed school. She kept forgetting her traveling buddy's name where Ledger proved no help.
"I'm Red Robin. I'm no Jason Todd or Dick Grayson." He softly spoke, pleading with her to sympathize.
Sighing, Dylan rolled her eyes. "I don't even remember your actual name."
"Tim Drake." He replied, hurt that it was so easy for somebody to forget him.
Dylan smirked, coming to her senses. She hurried off to find who she was searching for.

She held on for as long as she could. Her body went soaring spread eagle backwards in the air. This hadn't been her role to take on yet she managed to pull it off. Her thoughts were still clouding over with the miserable seeming Jason Todd.
"Dylan! Don't be stupid!" sneered Ledger at the girl falling. He would help stop her from falling if they hadn't found who they were in search of.
Dylan inhaled sharply, blowing out a breath. She flipped, putting one hand to land safely on the blue mat on the ground. She insisted on drawing her prey from the shadows, considering the boy hid when she slunk into the gym like training room. Her plan worked when bouts of clapping came from the corner.
A tall, slender boy with dark brown curls atop his head and grey blue eyes emerged from the shadows. He wore a dark blue knit sweater with a stripe of red around the waist to match dark jeans and dark blue converse.
"You have the skills of a lioness," He said moving to stand in front of her. His eyes drinking her in. A sudden realization sent alarm flashing behind blue eyes for a minute.
Ledger watched intently.
Tim scurried over the second the stranger confronted Dylan. He'd promised he would stay out of the way even when he didn't want to. He knew what Batman would say. He analyzed the older male, seeming to recognize him right off the bat.
"I'm D-" Dylan didn't get the chance to finish.
"Dylan Covington, we meet at last. I'm your older half brother. Damian Wayne." The male cut her off, eagerly giving one of her hands a squeeze.
"Oh, you know me?" Dylan asked, sporting a look of disappointment.
Damian's face crumbled, "How could I not?"
Ledger groaned, tugging at his curls. He gestured to the boy.
"Dil, forget that your brother knew about you while you were adopted! Focus on helping your ghostly visions!" Ledger shouted, causing a wrack of swords to crash to the smooth floor.
Tim and Damian jerked their heads in the direction.
"I came in search of channeling my ghostly abilities. I can communicate with ghosts, see memories of those about to die beforehand, and I am able to astral project. The ghostly visions are worsening with each day." Dylan rattled off to a curious looking Damian.
"You have the gift?! Right! How could I forget?" Damian squeaked, tugging on one of her hands to bring her close to him.
Dylan grew skeptical, shooting him a warning glare. She jabbed a finger in the direction of her shadow. "I'm with ghost."
"You're the Damian Wayne! Your father non-stop speaks about you. I'm Tim." Tim spoke, extending an arm for the other dark haired male to shake.
Damian reluctantly shook hands with the newer addition to the Batfamily.
If one were to ask Dil then she'd agree on how crazy things were becoming. Frowning, she tried to step from her brother. How could she have not seen the resemblance in appearance?
"We can all grab lunch at a later date to play catch up. I have a serious issue that nearly killed me a few days prior." Dylan growled in reminder, recapturing their attention. She didn't fancy being a prude, but her heart was aching at her memories of who was meant to die.
Ledger shot her a poignant look. He needed the ghostly girl to calm down. "Dil?"
Shutting her eyes, Dylan released a shaky breath. She had this yearning desire to get to know her family, but she tried to fight the growing of such a feeling. She couldn't afford to lose more people.
"I might have a precious jewel to help you. You can channel your abilities via the special gem. Follow me, please." Damian happily chirped, motioning for his sister to follow.
Dylan wrung out her hands. She'd have to trust somebody at some point. She reluctantly followed Damian with the other two in pursuit.
