I never truly expected this story to blow up the way it is. But I'm happy about this. March has finally come and seniors you know what that means!
COLLEGE REJECTION LETTERS! (oops, I mean ACCEPTATION LETTERS!) But for those of you who don't know, March is the prime month for when colleges either accept, reject, or waitlist an applicant. So be ready.
I am so thankful to you guys for stating your opinions in either letting Danny have or not have a mirauculous. Don't worry, the final answer will reveal itself soon.
But for now, here are some reviews!
Runeion: Hmm...Oh yess 😉
KorevainsoLightshire: Don't worry, even without his voice, Danny can make quips and little jabs at Chat.
xTorchbearerx: Thank you very much.
Jebest4781: Well, I hope you continue to read.
devilzxknight86: Good idea and glad you found this by accident.

Daniel's eyes fluttered open as he slowly regained consciousness. Once he did, Daniel squeezed his eyes back closed to shield himself from the blinding light. He opened them once more to allow himself to grow used to the light. He took a deep breath and tried to lift himself up, but found himself back in the position he had been.
He cursed silently in his head as he looked around. He did not recognize this place at all. He continued to look until his eyes fell on a picture frame. There, he saw the bakers he had met when that robber had attacked. Daniel could tell there was another person in the picture, but it had been obscured by the sunlight. He tried to crane his head to see the person, but his head just fell back.
"Oh, you're awake!" He turned to see the woman baker, he never got her name. She placed her hand on his forehead and smiled. "Good, your fever is gone." Fever? Was he sick? He never got sick! Daniel tried to get up again and succeeded this time, but he swayed until he sat down on the couch and silently sighed.
"Be careful! You just got better, you need to take it easy!" She chastised him and Daniel rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "You're just lucky my daughter found you in that alleyway." Daniel blinked. He collapsed in an alleyway? That was so unlike him.
As Daniel was deep in thought, his stomach rumbled loudly bringing everyone's attention to him. He blushed as the baker giggled.
"Let's get some food into you." She walked into the kitchen which wasn't very far since it was connected to the dining room and living room. Daniel watched in interest as the baker moved with such fluid movements. He stood up, albeit shaky, and walked over slowly. He spotted a pen and a notebook and opened it to an empty page. He scribbled on it and tapped the baker on the shoulder.
"Hmm?" She didn't turn around. Daniel rolled his eyes and tapped her shoulder again. This time she turned around. He showed her his scribble.
I'm sorry. I never got your name. The Baker chuckled and turned back.
"My name is Sabine Dupain-Cheng." That last name sounded oddly familiar. "You can just call me Sabine." Daniel nodded.
Well, my name is Daniel Fu. But please call me Danny. Danny showed it to Sabine who smiled.
"I know. My husband, Tom, told me about you when you saved us from the robber." Sabine said as Danny smiled. He looked over to see her working in a wok.
What are you making? Danny asked as Sabine softly smiled.
"Well, you've just woken up after a couple of days and haven't had solid food. I'm making you some fried rice that will be easy on your stomach." Sabine said as Danny was still hooked on the fact that he had been asleep longer than necessary. He quickly scribbled on the paper and showed it to Sabine.
How long was I asleep? The answer seemed to take so long to arrive.
"About four days. We were quite worried that you wouldn't wake up." Sabine said as Danny paled. FOUR DAYS! How could he be so forgetful? He walked back to the couch to look for his phone until Sabine cleared her throat. "Your father, Mr. Wang Fu, called a day before and we already explained to him about your condition." Danny let out a breath of relief.
Thank you. Danny wrote after he picked up the notebook once more. Sabine smiled and motioned to the table.
"Your welcome, now sit and eat." Danny quickly saw a bit of Jazz within Sabine and smiled sadly. He sat down and blinked rapidly to get rid of threatening tears. "Are you okay?" Danny looked up at Sabine and nodded. She placed the plate of fried rice in front of him and kissed him on the top of the head.
"I'll be downstairs if you need anything. My daughter should be coming home from school soon, so you'll have someone to talk to." Danny nodded as Sabine smiled kindly and went downstairs. When she was gone, Danny broke into silent tears. He could see them watching him from the contracts of that ticking time bomb.
Danny picked up the spoon and dug up a good portion of it. He looked at it through blurry eyes and took a bite. He banged the table softly so as not to startle those downstairs. Only one thought passed through his mind.
It was salty.
The Past can Hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it.

The clock slowly ticked away as Marinette started at it. Mme. Bustier was talking about one of the Shakespearean texts which didn't seem of much importance. Alya was listening and Adrien also seemed to be into it as well.
Marinette sighed as she thought of Daniel. He was on her mind for the past four days as he was unconscious. She had found him in that dark alley and wondered what happened. Then Marinette blushed a bright red.
Danny's naked torso and upper body invaded her mind. Those tight muscles centered around his stomach. She didn't know a boy about her age could have such a built body. Those big biceps that Marinette wasn't sure she could wrap her hand all the way around it. Then her mind drifted to those sliverly lines traveling all over his body.
She wasn't sure how her eyes missed it. Maybe she was so focused on that well built body of his. But she wondered how he had gotten those scars. Possibly it had to do with his damaged voice box? There was one scar there that disturbed her. Hat huge Y shaped scar from his pectorals down to those tight abs.
Marinette shivered catching the attention of her best friend. Alya looked over at Marinette, worry written all over her face. But she didn't get to ask Marinette anything as the bell rang and the bluenette was out of there like lightning.
Marinette rushed home and miraculously didn't do anything clumsy on her way. She walked through the door of the bakery and looked at her parents, who were busy with their own duties.
"Hi, Maman. Hi, Papa." She gave them kisses on the cheeks as she looked at them expectantly. Sabine chuckled and gave her daughter a smile.
"He's awake, Marinette. Actually, he's eating right now. If you want to go upstairs-" Sabine didn't even have to finish her statement as Marinette rushed past and all but ran up the stairs. She walked into the living room to see Daniel washing the dishes. She blushed once more as she realized he wasn't wearing a shirt.
"Uh...Um…" Marinette could only babble as her eyes raked his upper body once more. Daniel turned around and blinked at Marinette. He tilted his head as Marinette continued to babble until he snapped his fingers in front of her.
"Huh?" Marinette finally snapped out of it and looked up at Daniel. Then she blushed an ever deeper red. "Um...sorry. I...uh...kind of spaced out there." Daniel nodded as he grabbed her notebook and scribbled on it.
No problem. I lose focus all the time too. Especially during class. Marinette giggled and nodded. You're Marinette right? Marinette smiled and nodded once again. She was happy he remembered her. Daniel gave her a little smile.
"I'm surprised you actually remembered me." Marinette said as Daniel scribbled something down and showed it to her.
You were the first person to talk to me. Why wouldn't I remember you? Marinette was taken back. He remembered her because she talked to him. Marinette felt giddy inside. You are Tom and Sabine's daughter? Marinette nodded.
"Yeah, I help out in the bakery from time to time." Daniel nodded.
You found me in the alleyway? Marinette nodded, slowly this time.
"You were running a very high fever. You're lucky I found you when I did or who knows what would have happened." Marinette smiled at him and he gave her a shy smile.
Well, I am in your debt. Thank you, Marinette. She looked around finding something else to talk about.
"Oh!" Daniel jumped as Marinette exclaimed. "Since your shirt was kind of destroyed, I had to make you a new one." Daniel blinked then scribbled down.
Make me a new shirt? Marinette nodded.
"Yeah, I make clothes. I want to be a fashion designer when I grow up." Marinette said as Daniel nodded.
That's very ambitious, but a very realistic dream if you want to pursue it. Marinette blushed.
"Do you want to come and see it?" Daniel nodded and Marinette led him upstairs into her room. Then she reminded herself that she had a bunch of pictures of Adrien. But as she was about to shoo Daniel out he was staring at one of the pictures.
Is this boy in our class? Marinette nodded. Maybe he wouldn't know that Marinette has a crush on him. Is he a model or something? Marinette blinked. Daniel didn't know? Then she remembered that he was new to Paris.
"He's the son of one the most famous designers in all of Paris, Gabriel Agreste. So naturally he uses his son to model for him." Marinette explained as she walked over to the almost stitched up shirt on her table.
Wow, is that it? Daniel showed it to her and she nodded.
"Yeah, it's not much." Marinette said as she held it up. It was black with a white flame on the side. She didn't know what prompted her to choose those colors, but it seemed to fit Daniel. "I need to get your measurements, so hold your arms out." Daniel did as she said as she quickly measured him.
You've very good at this. Daniel wrote as Marinette held up the shirt for the last stitch. Marinette giggled.
"Thanks. I know my parents are bakers and all, but designing takes my mind off the many things I have to deal with. School, babysitting, school, bakery, her-, um school." Marinette hoped that Daniel wouldn't have noticed her mistake. Daniel nodded.
Yeah, I can understand that. I could never balance out school and activities since my activities required me to leave in the middle of class. Marinette giggled as she held it out to Daniel.
"Here, try it on." Daniel took it and easily slid it over his head. Finally his upper body was covered so Marinette wouldn't be as distracted. Daniel stretched and nodded.
It fits pretty well. Marinette smiled as she turned back to her desk.
"What were you doing at night?" Marinette asked as Daniel took the book and started to scribble for quite some time.
I have trouble sleeping at night, a pretty bad case of insomnia. But it always helps to go out and take a walk. I've always loved the night sky and what better than to take a walk underneath the stars? Marinette couldn't argue with him there. The night sky was always so magical. So I began to walk, but my chest started to hurt. By that time, I was already a long way from home. Everything hurt. I couldn't make it back in time so I waited for it to pass in an alleyway, but then you found me.
Marinette didn't know what to say. If she hadn't found him...Marinette shivered. She didn't want to think about that. There was something wrong with the story. Like something was missing from it. Something big and he wasn't telling her.
"I'm glad you're alright." Marinette said as she stared at Daniel. He was looking around though Marinette didn't mind. Anyone would be curious in another's room. "How did you get that tattoo on your back?" Daniel swerved around.
Tattoo? Marinette nodded. Was Daniel not aware?
"The one on you're back. It looks like black scales, though some of them did have a different tint to them." Marinette explained as Daniel ran a hand through his hair. "Did you not know about them?" Daniel shook his head.
No, no, no. It was just so long ago I got them that I forgot about it. Please don't worry. Daniel wrote as Marinette nodded. Though the surprise in Daniel's eyes did not go away. Marinette didn't want to pry any further so she let the matter go.
"Okay, Daniel." She didn't notice him flinch as he scribbled something down quickly and showed it to her.
Please call me Danny. Daniel is such a formal name. Marinette giggled and nodded.
"Only if you call me Mari." Danny smiled and nodded. Then a scream took both their attention.
