Author Notes: Kazui is essentially activating a subconscious and not fully realized Rei-Ken, the ability will definitely change when he does the proper procedure. Then its' understandable when you see a discrepancy between this chapter and later ones.

It's going to be temporally much more light hearted after the intensity of the last few chapters after the one after this one.

Chapter 29: Black Sun Fire Crow

"Darn my Shikigami control isn't complete yet.," Akuzu lamented before Ichika kicked him.

"What was that?," Ōkotei Ōkami asked as he laid on the ground.

"...The town's gone...Must be a terrorist attack! Or a governmental experiment gone wrong and it's gonna be covered up soon!," Himitsu said as she touched her middle and ring fingers to her forehead.

"You don't need to lie to yourself...this is obvious an extraterrestrial assault...or some undead fallen god decided to wipe out the town and everyone we care about.," remarked Kimyōna as her glasses glowed menacingly.

"We need quarantine sat! I don't want to die! I haven't even graduated! My parents are gonna kill me in the afterlife!," Himitsu said as she crouched on the ground.

"What are Shikigami?! Rei-Ken?! Shi no Henshin?! What else can you do?!," she asked with an angry vein on her forehead.

"Onmyōdō...it's more practical than Kidō-," Akuzu explained before Ichika kicked him again.

"You think you're so hot dontcha?! Dontcha?!," the redhead yelled as she continuously kicked him.

"I'm telling the truth...," Akuzu said weakly.

"Abarai. You need to focus...or perhaps...your sense of priorities are skewed by something-," Mizuryū said like a mysterious badass while doing pressing his glasses to the bridge of his nose with his right hand, his left hand outstretched with his arm diagonal to his sideways slouch before Ichika then punched him in the groin.

"Nobody cares!," Ichika said nonchalantly, while Tanūki comforted his friend.

"You punched me...I'm telling mom!," he whimpered as he covered his family jewels, much to the girls' confusion and the boys' shared horror.

"...What can your Onmyōdō stuff do anyway?," Ichika asked nonchalantly as she noticed the large Tona Tiuh looking at the class.

"It can summon Yokai from charms, tell the future, curse enemies, use paper charms for spells, control the elements of fire/water/metal/wood/wind/earth, divination, exorcism, sealing-," Akuzu explained.

"That's it! We can seal for millennia until we get a super strong Soul Reaper to kill him.," Ichika said as she came to an epiphany.

"Hand it over.," Ichika demanded Akuzu, who looked stern in response.

"No, it doesn't work in the hands of the inexperienced regardless of an instantaneous ability to use it...even if it works...," he hypothesized.

"You don't read manga do you...?," the brown haired boy asked Ichika.

"The Soul Society comics are what I read!," Ichika said with a glint in her eyes.

Here's what's going to happen even when it works through trials and sacrifices...he'll just pull something out of nowhere that was not foreshadowed previously to escape with ease or just strengthen through it...because we're third tier fodder- second tier at best...because we're the kid characters waiting for either the more serious grown up to save us at the last moment or Lord Third will do so as he's the main character..," Akuzu explained with logical reason.

"So we do nothing?!," Ichika asked.

"Yes-," Akuzu replied before Ichika took a battle stance.

"Then cover me. I'm still the daughter of one of the 13 Court Guard Captains and a potential heiress to the Kuchiki clan of the Four Noble houses. I can't disappoint my heritage.," she said with a more serious tone as she emitted her lightning Zanpakuto.

"Wait, you need to know something about the Zanpakuto! It's currently corrupted by beings called Imiters! If you harm someone associated with the "Soul Emperor"'s plan- it'll-," Akuzu shouted before the blade sprouted a white face with the eye-mouths merging into a grinning maw.

Ichika was forced to flee as the Zanpakuto was trying to eat her alive.

Akuzu then pulled out his paper charm- containing a mix of Hindu/Japanese sutras, Biblical passages and hieroglyphics from Egypt. He muttered a phrase in Hindu then Japanese, then English and lastly Egyptian as he threw the talisman onto the sword, retraining it.

"It's going to take time to hold it off. It's likely going to escape in order to save itself...destroy it...Oh no...," Akuzu stated before noticing that Tona was charging a large solar sphere over his head held by his right palm with a delirious grin.

He was about to toss it when a black feather shot out from the black crow Reiatsu, which detonated the sphere.

"Oh now you're serious. Let's play- Koronawelle (Corona Wave).," he said aloud he generated a barrier made of corona energy to block the incoming feather attacks.

While Kazui's unstable Rei-Ken fired from afar, the air began to swell and heat up above Kazui.

Realizing this, Akuzu attempted to leave, but had to still restrain the cursed Zanpakuto possessed sword.

Mizuryū then pulled out a Quincy cross, generating the snowflake- five pointed handle of blue energy as he fired energy arrows to pull Kazui out of the range of the combustable air that proceeded to explode in Kazui's last location.

"Mizuryū! You're forbidden to use Quincy techniques!," Ichika shouted.

"You're about to die and that's all that matters to you- you and your Soul Reaper ways made my father and grandfather soft. Dagnabbit! It's obvious he's not a fire type, but he's a solar type. He's at his element during the day when the sun's at its peak...so why not have it rain? Heat builds up the moisture in the atmosphere, causing it to collect water into the clouds, releasing it as rain," Mizuryū explained as he fired a fiery version of his arrow into the air, causing the heat to swell up in the sky. The clouds began to gather moisture at an astonishing rate, creating rain clouds that blocked the sun.

Tona noticed it as his field began to dissipate.

"No sunlight means no solar powers. The sun isn't big enough to break through the clouds.," Mizuryū before noticing that the clouds were parting allowing for a rainbow to pass through- one that was shaped like an eagle, heading towards Kazui's flying black rain Reiatsu.

"Still not teaching astronomy classes...The sun's much bigger than the earth...or Jupiter...or any planet in the solar system. It only seems small because it's so far away. If it were close- one thing you'd be dead thousands of time over and two, it would make the earth look like a pebble.," Tona explained.

"My mind's spinning...too much thinking...," Tona said his eyes began to twirl around in confusion.

"That's not why I did it, Lightning primarily occurs when warm air is mixed with colder air masses, resulting in atmospheric disturbances necessary for polarizing the atmosphere. There's elements that can affect the frequency, distribution, strength and physical properties of a typical lightning flash, These factors include ground elevation, latitude, prevailing wind currents, relative humidity, proximity to warm and cold bodies of water, etc. But, with my Reiatsu, it's not as difficult as I can act as a placebo effect that allows me to shape and control it with ease.," Mizuryū said as the lightning engulfed in blue Reiatsu, became oriental draconic in shape as they lunged at the rainbow eagle, tearing it apart. The clouds became thicker and blocked the sunlight, much to Tona's surprise.

"And you need constant sunlight to be active. Likely not the case in Hueco Mundo except Los Noches. You're the opposite of the 9th Espada, Aaroniero Arruruerie, who operates at night.," Mizuryū added as he had the dragon lightning beasts head towards Tona.

Suddenly, a random large rock formation zoomed into the dragons range, blocking the attack.

This stunned Mizuuryū immensely.

"Huff...huff...Since the sun...huff...is so big, it's natural...huff... the lesser bodies...huff... revolve around it...huff...like so.," Tona explained as the rock formation was broken into smaller orbital objects that revolved around the Dio Hueco. Noticeably, he was panting, having to exert energy without the need of sunlight.

One of the spheres projected towards Mizuryū, causing Akuzu to exert more effort in generating a paper charm barrier around him and the other students. He breathed heavily as he did so.

Tona smirked as he prepared to attack again, but suddenly halted as his movements began to become sluggish and immobile.

"Oh...man, I for...got to eat...up befo...re...I...g...ot...he...r...e...," Tona lamented as his speech patterns slowed down before he stopped completely.

"See without the sun, he's helpless.," Mizuryū said with confidence.

"Yeah we won...," Ichika said before feeling something tremendous awful.

"I don't think that's it.," Akuzu explained.

"What the heck are you on about?," Ichika asked.

"My sister told me that the Aztec Kami weren't allowed in the official gatherings with the other Kami because they along with other gods with...cannibalistic tendencies...constantly need the Reiatsu of others in order to survive...they're more like Hollows even before they became them...," Akuzu replied.

"Wait, a lot of people...," Mizuryū said before he saw countless lives of souls, instead of becoming Hollows or even transversing into the Soul Society, slowly began to hover over Tona.

While it was not a surprise for the ones with more experience with seeing the unseen, this immense Reiatsu caused the other students to be able to see the seething souls of distorted faces, some of which, included their parents.

Before they could register what was happening, the souls were then sucked into Tona, which illuminated his form.

"Yum, yum. Sacrifices...," Tona said as he slowly began to become mobile again.

Mizuryū tried to use the lightning attack from before, but Tona proceeded to absorb the lightning and the dark clouds until only a few whiter clouds remained as the sun illuminated brightly.

"Auserwählte: Opfergabe an die Götter (Chosen Ones: Offering to the Gods)- It's the true version Auswählen (Select) that the corrupted Quincy use. It involves those who associate themselves strongly with a concept theme related to a deity or willing sacrifices who give their lives to empower a god.," Tona explained.

"Damnit, most people like the sun...and by extension you.," Akuzu cursed.

"After all, there's no other sun deity that could reach my level.," Tona replied as he charged another solar sphere.

Suddenly, Kazui, covered in the black bird Reiatsu, rammed Tona from the right, much to the Dio Hueco's surprise.

"Oh you must be an avatar thingie within his powers of a Beraterin (Aide)-who serves the actual Gott Herrscher (God Ruler) of this universe- not the Soulie Empie guy.," Tona realized as he generated a ten pointed sun shield in order to protect himself.

Suddenly, the Reiatsu dissipated with Kazui collapsing on the ground.

Tona smiled as he raised his foot in order to stomp on Kazui.

He then noticed someone behind him...

It was himself, except with his position a centimeter higher than when he was about to crush Kazui.

That wasn't the bizarre part. He saw a line of himself and everyone around him with multiple copies of themselves going in reverse order of their actions.

He then saw himself- the saw that was about to crush Kazui as his perspective would change to the Tona behind him and the one behind him.

Time reversed at an insane rate as suddenly, he was back with Huitzilopochtli and looking at Tezcatlipoca's eyes.

"Tona. Chalchu and Huitz will return. Zanpakuto can trained for years...I sense he has the potential for Rei-Ken, which you know what that means...a reactive desire..perhaps for revenge or the salvation of others...," the voice interrupted.

What the hell did I drink this morning?!, thought the Sun Dio Hueco as he then noticed the black three-eyed crow with six wings and six taloned feet made of Black Reiatsu hovering above Kazui.

"Natsujikan no Gyaku (Daylight Savings Time- Reverse).," the crow said calmly.

Damnit, he somehow reversed the time of day to before I fought...too hard to think around it!, thought the Sun Dio Hueco with annoyance.

"No. because it made me think of Lord Quetzalcoatl with an extensive flashback that I didn't even play a major part in...in spite of me remembering it...also crows screwed me over. Let's play the long game...," Tona explained.

"What in the infinite levels of hell- never mind, you're always odd...Huitzilopochtli you will get your wish after all...," Tezcatli said with a sigh of irritation.

Huitzilopochtli then turned to Kazui with a menacing glare.

"Boy...once you reach the threshold of the boundary of childhood and adulthood...your life shalt be forfeit...," he said as he entered the Garganta along with his superiors.

"I sense that your mother has something belonging to a begotten era...since the Soul Emperor is a demon and your aunt was...I would have her remember her heritage for the sake of her sister in law.," Huitzilopochtli added, which shocked Kazui.

The Garganta closed and Kazui collapsed to his knees.

Quickly, he then reunited with his physical body and the teacher returned to the classroom.

"Students stand.," she said as the class stood up from their seats.

"We are going to participating against our rivals in the Naruki City in a sports competition to settle our rivalry. It'll be good extra credit and the principal is fine with it.," she said aloud.

"You gotta be kidding!? We're doing arts and crafts! No way we can do that right away. It's not like we have the stamina anyhow...except for some brutes.," Himitsu muttered.

Everyone showed very different reactions once the news set in.

Yūbō, Sensō, Kazui and Kimyōna grinned in anticipation for an intense fight, regardless of possibly losing as an option due to the enemies being stronger, especially for Kazui needing to take his mind off the troubling matters.

Yoroishishi, Ōtotei, Bimyō, Hebi, and Heiwai were excited for the thrill of competing against another school in a hopefully friendly game.

Mizuryū, wanted to win for the sake of winning, regardless of how it was won.

Sana, Ureshī, Yōmi, Debra, Chizue and Yōenna weren't as keen to fighting another team, but viewed it as gaining extra credit and socializing with others.

Aoihana and Himitsu were against it for personal reasons, the former fearing how'd they react to her hair color while the latter wasn't into sports, in spite of Bimyō's insistence on doing so.

Chigaeshi, Tanūki, Akuzu and Unmei had no personal interest, only joining because their friends were joining.

Greta and Maschera were both indifferent and showed no enthusiasm for what they viewed as a minor activity.

Ichika, Shōnichi and Akuzu saw this as vastly inappropriate to do, especially with the dangers of the Dio Hueco and the corrupt Soul Emperor looming over in the horizon.

Kaguya was lost in her own world.

"Such Albernheit. Maschera and I do not see the value of these silly Eskapaden.," Greta remarked.

"Oh, it's mandatory..it''ll be in a couple of weeks.," said the teacher with flames in her eyes, causing Greta to sweat.

Verdammt! I don't have time to do this when I have more important things to do!, thought the pink haired girl.

Dolce Greta. If we go in immediately, it arouse suspicion. Better to play along with these mortals' whims., Maschera telepathically spoke to her friend.

Greta reluctantly nodded.

"Dang it! Greta already made it irrevocable! I don't want to be a muscle bound dolt-," Himtsu muttered before she noticed Bimyō giving her a thumbs up.

You're making it worse!, thought the bespectacled girl while angry veins appeared on her forehead while grinning.

"Let's do our best!," Ureshi said to Yōmi.

"Y-yes.," the bob-cut haired girl said with a sweat on her brow.

"Ureshi's making more friends. That's always good.," Sana said as she turned to Chizue.

"Let's play friendly and-," Heiwai suggested to his bandaged colleague.

"Kill em dead!," Sensō muttered, much to his colleagues' lament.

"I'll show em the secrets of the Arisawa family!," shouted Hebi, which caused Mizuryū to smirk.

"We'll show them the superiority of the Karakura School, right Tanūki?," Mizuryū said as he turned towards his subordinate.

"Y-yeah.," Tanūki struggled to say.

"I wonder how Dad and Mom will react to this?," Yororishisi asked himself, with Ōkotei giving him a thumbs up.

"It doesn't matter...it's been decided...," Unmei said to himself.

Yūbō smirked, which caused Debra to say to herself,

"Guy's acting like a whacko. He's usually a stiff."

"May I please have a leave from this event. I feel like I'm going to be a bother-," Aoihana tried to suggest before the teacher said,

"Mandatory."

This caused Aoihana to bite her upper lip.

"Let's do it.," Bimyō said with a smirk.

"Can't wait to crush them!," Kimyōna said aloud.

"But, the cookies will crumble that way.," Kaguya said oddly, which confused everyone else.

"I'm cool with it.," Yōenna said candidly.

"Me too...," Kazui said with a laugh, a painfully forced one.

Akuzu, Shōnichi and Ichika took the news more somberly.

Do you think they'll attack us during the competition?, Akuzu telepathically spoke to Ichika.

The leader seemed to be ok to that gladiator wannabe's wish to kick Kazui's butt once he's in middle school. We have time-, Ichika replied to calm the situation, but Shōnichi interrupted.

But, are the others like that? I suspect some of them will try to go behind his back. Be ready., the blond, dark skinned boy said.

"Oh I remember. Kazui was in samurai clothes and he talked to the giants from South America...that doesn't make sense...," Kaguya said aloud.

This caught Kazui's attention as the entire class suddenly remembered the same event...

Somehow retaining the ability to see ghosts from the "past" future.

Kazui and Ichika freaked out on the inside.
