Thank you to all who are favorite and followed this story! I can not tell yall how much it means to me that people still like/intersted in this story even after all this time. Most of this chapter was written several months ago. Some of the imagery just isn't how I pictured it but I just have to put it out there and move on.

As always I do not own Percy Jackson but Chloe is my OC!

Percy woke with a start. Looking around the cabin he didn't see anyone. The new fountain was gurgling in the corner, off in the distance he could hear the ocean waves. The alarm clock read: 4:25. Seeing Chloe's bed empty and neatly folded sheets made his heart ache.

BANG. BANG.

Percy grabbed Riptide and slowly walked towards the door.

"Hello?" He called out.

THUMP. THUMP.

He uncapped the blade, flung open the door, and found myself face-to-face with a black Pegasus.

Whoa, boss man! I don't wanna be a horse-ke-bob!

"Blackjack," Percy said, capping Riptide again. "How many times have I told you not to call me boss?"

Whatever you say, boss man. You're the man. You're my number one.

"Blackjack," Percy sighed. "What are you doing here? You are supposed to stay in the stable."

Meh, the stables. You see Chiron staying in the stables?

"Well… no."

Exactly. Listen, we got another little sea friend needs your help.

Percy groaned. "I have had barely three hours of sleep."

Is boss lady here? She can help!

"Chloe… She is missing. Luke has her."

Blackjack tossed his head back in agitation. Oh. Will we be rescuing her?

"Of course. Will got a quest last night."

Blackjack nodded. Good. Don't worry boss man we will get boss lady back in no time. First, the hippocampi!

Percy sighed again. All he wanted to do was crawl back into bed, sleep a few more hours, then in the morning head out with Will to find Chloe. But he knew he had a few hours before breakfast to help the hippocampi.

"All right," Percy said. "I'm coming."

You're the best boss man!

"Don't call me boss!"

"How is our mortal guest?" Atlas asked amused. Chloe was kneeling under the weight of the sky. Her head hung low; eyes closed. The young demigod is slowly dying. Soon she would collapse and taking the sky with her.

"She is a strong one for holding my burden for so long." The General commented.

Artemis' eyes flashed with anger. "How dare you torture a maiden like this!"

Atlas smirked. "I have done nothing. This young demigod here is the one who set me free. She is the one to blame."

"No," Artemis said. "Chloe did not do this willingly."

Atlas coldly chuckled. "She didn't put up a fight that is for sure. Luke told her to take the burden and she did."

"You kidnapped her!" Artemis growled. "She was only doing what she needed to survive."

"Chloe will die soon. Not much for survival." Luke said, walking over to the chained goddess. "However, if you care so much for one demigod, you can save her."

The General smirked. "You heard the man. Decide!"

The goddess looked at the daughter of Poseidon with concern. You are a brave and strong maiden. Let me save you from this fate. Artemis said in the demigod's mind. Chloe made a week sound of protest, too weak to respond any other way. The goddess's heart broke a little at the sound.

"Free my hands," Artemis said.

Luke brought out his sword, Backbiter. With one expert strike, he broke the goddess's handcuffs.

Artemis ran to Chloe and took the burden from her. The daughter of Poseidon collapsed on the ground and lay there shivering, breathing heavy. She didn't even have the energy to move away from the goddess and the weight that she was now holding above them. Artemis staggered, trying to support the weight of the sky.

"You are as predictable as you are easy to beat, Artemis." Atlas chuckled. "You could never resist showing mercy to a young maiden. That is after all your specialty my dear."

Artemis groaned. "You know nothing of mercy."

"On that, we can agree. Luke you may kill the girl now."

"NO!" Artemis shouted.

Luke hesitated. "Sir, Chloe may still be useful. They will come for her."

"Bah. You truly believe that?"

"Yes, General. Percy Jackson is furiously loyal. He once went to the Underworld to save their mother when Hades kidnapped her when the twins were only twelve years old. He will stop at nothing to get his sister back."

Atlas considered that. "Then the dracaena can guard her here. Assuming she does not die from her injuries, you may keep her alive until the winter solstice. If our sacrifice goes to planned her life will be meaningless. The lives of all mortals will be meaningless."

"Of course, general."

Luke gathered up Chloe into his arms, carried her away from the goddess. Chloe groaned at the sudden movement. Her head rolled to the side as darkness consumed her.

Sounds of waves crashing against the shore pulled her from the darkness. Chloe laid there keeping her eyes closed, enjoying the feeling of nothingness. Everything was numb. The smell of the salt in the air filled her lungs. The windblown sand brushing against the exposed part of her skin.

It was peaceful.

"Chloe." Said a deep voice, breaking to silence.

The daughter of Poseidon opens her eyes to find a pair of sea-green eyes staring back at her. The man had a short but thick black beard and a few wrinkles around his eyes.

"Father," Chloe breathed.

The man cracked a smile. "So formal. That was the first word your brother said me as well."

"What did you expect?" Chloe asked standing up, brushing the sand away.

"A simple hello would do." Poseidon said. "Or to be called dad."

"Anyone can be a father but it takes a special someone to be a dad."

The words flew out of her mouth before she could think. She half expected Poseidon to smit her right there, can he do that in what dream reality they are in? But instead her father smiled bigger, "You got your mother's sass."

Chloe cracked a smile. "Yeah I get that a lot."

For a moment the tension between the Olympian and demigod lessened.

"So why are you here?" Chloe asked.

Poseidon's smile dropped. "We know about Artemis."

Chloe shoulders slumped. "I was my fault."

A large hand placed on her shoulder. "Child, look at me." Poseidon didn't say anything else until her eyes met his. "This is the work of Kronos. Not you. Do you understand?"

Chloe nodded, feeling so small under the intensity of her father's gaze.

"Help is on it's way. Hold on until then."

Before Chloe could ask anything about that everything turned black.

"Lady Artemis is missing!" Zoe's shouts could be heard as Will walked up to the Big House. "She is an important Olympian and yet this stupid boy got a quest to recuse a demigod?! I demand to speak to the Oracle!"

Will stop in his tracks seeing Zoe and at least half the hunters standing around on the Big house porch. Chiron stood with his arms crossed in the door way, his full centenar size taking up the whole door way. A hunter turned and sneer at Will. Teeth baring and all. Zoe whipped around and Will swear he heard her growl before she pushed though the throng of hunters to get to him. The murderous look on girl's face and bow in her heads made Will take a few steps back.

"YOU! HOW DARE THEE GET A QUEST!" Zoe shouted, notching an arrow.

"Um . . ." Will didn't know what to say.

Zoe turned back to the Big House. "SEE!" She screeched, gesturing to Will with the arrow. "This boy is an idiot! He is not worthy of a quest!"

"The Oracle chose Will," Chiron said with a hint annoyance, as if this isn't the first time, he said those words. From the way his tail was swishing around Will knew it wasn't. Nothing annoys Chiron more than when he has to repeat himself. "You will get your quest when the time is right."

"When the time is right?" Zoe repeated coldly. "The Winter Solstice is in twelve days! Lady Artemis has to be there! Without her the gods will decide nothing another year will be waisted when we need to be planning for this war."

"You will get your quest when the time is right," Chiron repeated, his tail switching side to side. "Now take your Hunters and go back to cabin eight."

"Should there be no quest granted by this time tomorrow the Hunters and I will be leaving." Zoe warned, giving one last glare at Chiron. Her intense eyes bored into Will for a moment before pushing past him. The other Hunters followed behind their leader, all glared or sneered at him as they too passed. Expect for one that was. Her brown eyes where full of curiosity, as if she wasn't sure what to do. Was that Nico sister? The newest of the Hunters?

Before he could think about it any further, Chiron shouted for Will to join him inside. The Son of Apollo quickly brushed the thoughts out of his head and went into the big house.
