*another missing scene from A Night On The Town. It has got to be my fave episode*

"Look, Linda, I always love you. I know I don't always show it," Danny started to explain as they sat in the fancy restaurant. It was supposed to be just the two of them for the weekend, but some maniac decided to commit murder. Now Danny was pulled into the case, and he was trying to juggle it and making his wife happy- not an easy task. "Tonight I can't show it the way you deserve, but I do."

"You know, when I married you, I knew I would have to share you with the job some nights," Linda explained, secretly mad at her husband. But what could she do?

"Right."

"I'm just sorry it's tonight."

"Me too. Cause you look amazing in that dress," Danny smirked at Linda's half smile. It was almost a sexy half smile, and it made him hate his job even more at the moment. "It's a little short... but... I actually kinda like that."

"It is short," Linda agreed. She was going to leave it at that, but an idea came to her, "and... I'm not wearing any underwear." She gave him some incentive to wrap up the case quickly.

Danny looked at her smiling sexily. He swallowed and shifted in his seat a little bit.

"You should maybe go," she took a sip of her wine, "better finish the case. I gotta meat Lisa anyways."

"Yeah..."

And... I'm not wearing any underwear.

"Great," Danny mumbled, waiting for his witness. "Just great. 'I'm not wearing any underwear, go solve the murder'. Like I can even think about the murder. She's a mean lady, that Linda. Mean..." he rolled his eyes, "I really hate my job sometimes... now, if this works, I'm home free and in paradise. And if it doesn't... maybe Linda will get me a nice pair of striped pajamas... for the doghouse."

"I mean, it was supposed to be just us this weekend. Not us plus a psycho," Linda complained to her friend, Lisa.

"Did you give him some incentive?"

"Of course I did. I chose this dress on purpose. I told him I'm going commando."

"That oughta get him back quickly."

"It better..." she sighed, "I'm sorry, Lisa. You came to have a good time, and I'm burdening you with my problems."

"Hey, I had a good time. And I've got an idea. When he comes back to the room, surprise him with something sexy."

Linda smiled deviously, "Lisa, you might just be a matchmaker."

Danny was definitely pleasantly surprised by Linda's sexy outfit- or lack thereof. They spent the night rekindling their romance, and the morning found them snuggled close together.

There was a knock on the door, and Danny went to answer it. It was a small package with the evidence he needed.

"What's that?" Linda wondered, propping herself on her elbows.

"Evidence." He shuffled through the small closet for a shirt and pants, "I gotta go arrest the perp, who just so happens to be conveniently in this hotel."

"Will you have to do paperwork or something like that afterwards?"

"Nope." He put his belt through his pant loops, "afterwards, I'm all yours."

"You better be."

Danny smiled and kissed Linda's lips, "stay put."

"Where am I supposed to go? I'm naked!"

"I know," Danny nearly whispered, heading out the door. So the dinner and show were shot, but he still had a full day to spend with the love of his life.

Despite the few interruptions, Linda and Danny's weekend was worth the wait. And because of that weekend, their romance rekindled, and their marriage became stronger.
