"Things are about to get weird," Yugi Muto warned.
"They already are, Yugi," Seto Kaiba responded. He narrowed his eyes in disgust at Yugi.
"Whah-what are you talking about, Kaiba?"
"Yugi, I swear to God, if you don't stop making out with Yami, I am going to barf," Kaiba said.
Yugi looked shocked, embaressed, and bashful. "Uh, whatever are you talking about, Kaiba, pal?"
"Oh, cut the crap, Yugi. Whenever you get that glint in your eye...The glint of a little man mentally jerking himself-"
"OKAY, OKAY!" Yugi said, his hands waving, flat out in front of him, as if to shove Kaiba away, or more like, try to wish him away.
"Hmph," Kaiba responded, with the tiniest of smiles. No, he wasn't happy for Yugi. He found it utterly hilarious. At least his wife wasn't his 5,000 year old former self!
Suddenly, Yugi narrowed his eyes.
Shock fell over Kaiba's face. "What in the world was that?"
"I have no idea," Yami responded. "In fact, it doesn't feel of this world..."
"The past, again? The future, this time?"
"No. Another dimension. One unlike anything I've felt before."
The pair turned their heads towards the sky. As if on que, lightning streaked across, followed by a rain of meteors.
"By the gods," Yami said, "this world is ending."
Kaiba started tapping buttons on his watch. A beam shot from the sky, from his personal satellite (well, one of many) and enveloped Yugi and Kaiba. Then, they were gone, and staring at the world from a bubble on the moon. The two (or three, rather) watched as little sparks like polka dots began appearing all across the surface of Earth. Then they went out, for but a few seconds. And the next thing Kiaba and Yugi saw was an eruption like fireworks.
The explosion was so massive and bright, they had to turn away. When they could open their eyes again, the moon they were on was hurdling through space, and the Earth was no more.
