Chapter 55: Mousers' Attack! – Part 1
Alora's POV
Back at the Museum of Natural History, I was in my home world; standing just a few feet away from the Ninjutsu crystal as the magnificent jewel was already glowing with the mystical, aural magic spiraling around it. The aura swirled and twisted itself while outstretching in tentacles of sparkling starlight that safeguarded the source of its power while the Japanese symbols embellished onto the crystal's hard substance surface. It then began to grow bigger and bigger at the sight of it, shining brighter along with it like a blinding star 'til it suddenly stretches out towards me and everything goes white…
In a few seconds, the whiteness dims slowly into the Dark void once again, embedding me in the shrouded blackness of its company. Since the last several times I've visit here, I knew for a horrid reason that something or someone would recently appear out from the gloomy shadows and possibly charge in to attack me, having me experience from within the episode we were in that was gonna transpire afterwards. I got into a cautious stance and glance carefully and suspiciously around the area, keeping an eye out in alert of anything that could show up suddenly. So far as I kept glancing throughout every corner of the void, nothing seem to have happen yet from the shadowy parts of the void, having me feel lightly at ease for the most bit, but that doesn't mean that I wasn't gonna give it to this that easily. Just when I thought of that, I didn't feel any negative aural presences nearby, which was good at least, but I had a distinct feeling in the pit of my stomach that I was being watched, having me keep gazing around once more when I looked to my right only, to my beseeched acknowledgement, see a small, rectangular-shape like glow was showing through the black void. It was just glowing there constantly, having me wondering on what was lurking through the Darkness this time; knowing that it was something neither human nor mutant, though it definitely wasn't a Kraang droid, for instance, Kraang robots were taller and had magenta-pink parts that radiated glowingly through the shadows. This figure, that was hiding, was shorter since the light was leveled between from my feet up to my lower mid-thighs, possibly the height and size of a little dog, and only has one strange glowing-shaped eye than having two, knowing that this wasn't a Kraang. Although, the only other robotic being that I knew besides the Kraang and Metalhead was actually –
My eyes widen in horror as I remember what other robotic structure the guys and I would be facing, and, just before I could say anything more in my thoughts, the glowing red light then seem to be getting slightly bigger and more visible as it approach me, coming closer and closer towards me when it steps out into the opening, it reveals its actual metallic form. It was a small robot that held a slight resemblance of a T-Rex (without the short clawed arms), having monstrous fanged jaws that could tear you apart easily, seeing the glowable red light that shone atop of its robotic head before letting out a cat-like screech that had me jump at the very hearing of it as it stood before me, having my eyes adjust wider and my mouth parted open in a terrifying manner. It was a M.O.U.S.E.R; a highly dangerous and deadly retrieval bot that was created by one of our enemies, which happens to be none other than Baxter Stockman, who made them into doing his bidding on stealing priceless objects that would make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. Yet he wouldn't be making just the one, he would make hundreds to nearly thousands of these killer bots that would make world-spread robberies and break-ins a lot faster and, with some underground expertise for escaping the crime scene, quicker to go undetected. Though to my dear relief, there was only one M.O.U.S.E.R that was interrogating me, which had me suspect that I wasn't brought here just to be feared by a single jaw-crunching robot for the heck of it.
Just to prove my point, the M.O.U.S.E.R that was still staring me down, turns his head slightly to the left and gives off another loud-piercing cat screech, having me give a quizzical expression on what it was doing, only to have my answer when I saw one after the other, more glowing red lights blinking up into the pitch-black void that sent frightening chills running up my spine at the scary sight of it. Keeping my horrified gaze at the sight of the glowing red-eyed light show, one-by-one, several more M.O.U.S. clawed out from the Darkness and stood behind the first one, hearing cat-screech after cat-screech, jaws snapping viciously out at me as if waiting for the right opportunity to chew me up, having me take a few steps back fearfully at seeing so many M.O.U.S. surrounding the entire area. While backing away from the evil-menacing robotic creatures in absolute fear, the M.O.U.S. seem to take notice of my reaction and started to stomp their way towards me as I kept moving backwards with my lowers arms up with my open palms facing outwards in caution and wariness, hoping that they wouldn't charge at me in attack, but knowing how this was gonna go within this vision, I somehow already knew that I would be dead wrong.
And BOY was I very dead wrong!
As I then took one final step back, the lead M.O.U.S.E.R that was just standing a foot away from me with the killer robot pack behind it, it let out another one of its ear-piercing cat-screeches as if signaling to prepare for an upcoming attack, and then, the robot dips its head down with its robotic knees bending a bit and, with such force, it pushes itself up high into the air, having me look up with a wide-eyed, opened mouth stare while seeing more of the M.O.U.S. following their leader's lead on this, when they all looked down at where I was with the jaws opened up, their red eyes glowing with chaos and killer instincts as the slowly began to descend back down…
JUST TO DIVE RIGHT TOWARDS ME WITH SNAPPING JAWS AT READY TO BITE ME BEFORE EVERYTHING TURNS WHITE!
My eyes immediately shot open as I sat straight up from my bed, letting a frightening yelp escape my lips from evading that terrifying dreamless vision. I felt my heartbeat speeding intently fast within my chest, my eyes were wide as dinner plates, several beads of sweat ran down from my forehead down the front and sides of my clammy face, and I was shaking vibrantly from the frightening experience that I just saw. I was panting heavily from the oxygen that I yet needed, having me try to calm myself down by doing what I always did when having any more visions; take nice, deep, relaxing breaths, and I did just that by breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth, feeling the cold air sooth my rigid nerves. Taking a few more breaths when I was able to settle down, I then looked back to what had happen in the vision on the M.O.U.S.E.R attack that took place, and knew for sure that this is the episode where the Turtles and I would be seeing and facing them.
'It's gonna be one shell of a fight with those little robo rascals chopping at our hides,' I muttered annoyingly in my head with an eye-roll and a low grunt, knowing how much of a problem those miniature robots are gonna be.
Only, that wouldn't be the only problem we would be facing cause during this scenic adventure, Raph and, hard to believe it, Leo would throughout it become sneery-faced jerks to Donnie and Mikey, all in thinking that they were both better fighters when working together for the very first time in a long while instead of competing against each other like they always do. Even though I did think at first it was a good possibility for both Raph and Leo to not come across as rivals and fight side-by-side as an actual Ninja fighting pair, but when the tides had turn on having them rival themselves against Donnie and Mikey, having them make their younger siblings feel less usable and important to the Team, that aspect had set me off. It really angered me in seeing two older brothers who've been at each other's throats since they were kids would change their aspects of one another to their other brothers by making fun of them of their incompetence, though I can understand Raph on doing that, but Leo; never would've thought he would become the bullying type on this, especially towards Donnie and Mikey. He usually was the defendant for the both of them, more Donnie than Mikey, whenever Raph picks on them and gets angry at them for whatever reason, yet now he's on his hothead brother's side and are both gonna be taunting and mocking them within this very episode. But since now I'm here with every intel and skillful quality between the two Turtles' sides, I knew I was gonna be the defendant for the scientific and the comedian Turtles' backs from the 'overly-thinking-we're-better-in-fighting-than-you' Ninja Turtles while fighting off Stockman and his M.O.U.S. .
Although, it wouldn't be just Baxter Stockman and his robotic killing machines we'd be battling against, we would be encountering the Purple Dragons and Dogpound, who'll be incorporating the greedy-grudging scumbags into aligning with Shredder's forces. And not to mention with absolute seriousness, Dogpound was practically impossible to take out thanks to his genetic Mutation as a giant Japanese hunting dog and other tactics, making him more powerful and brutal than before during our last fight with him. It won't be an easy mission again with Dogpound in the picture again, but we'll manage to handle it like we always do in fights like this, especially when it comes in saving the City or the Lair, only this time it's the Lair. How come, you might ask? Well, since during the plotline, April would walk in, looking shaken up, mugged by the Purple Dragon gang, and informing that they took her cherry-red cell phone off her. Yet it wasn't much of a hassle for getting back one temporary device such as a phone, but that phone was gonna be the major conspiracy for all of us since it has a GPS log that would show you anywhere where it has been, which included our secretive Lair within the Sewers. Even though Leo, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey stated that they would get it back for her and taking vengeance for what the gangster thugs did to her, it would let them all experience when believing that you can manage with things yet you can't seem to handle like you thought, you definitely need some help from someone who is less skillful and incompetent than you. Moreover, that's what both sets of Turtles will need; Leo and Raph with taking on Stockman's M.O.U. , and Donnie and Mikey in getting pass Dogpound in retrieving April's phone, so that's why I'm here to set things straight for each of them and learn that no matter who's the best at anything, you still are a one-unit Team.
After feeling better and more relax from the visionary dream, I looked over to my right in seeing the clock on my nightstand, saying that it's 6:35 am in the morning, which meant half an hour and five minutes left 'til it was time to wake up and get ready for Ninja morning training, having my head drop down with my eyes closed and an exhausting sigh slip through my lips, knowing that this has become a repeating cycle of restless sleeping disorder. Ever since I got my magical powers, these endless images that the Ninjutsu crystal, the one thing that brought me here into the Ninja Turtles world, contacts through to me in my sleep, showing things of either the past, present, or near future that has or will happen throughout the episodic series. They also come in at a certain time whether it was at the early hours in the morning or at near mid time in getting up for training, and mostly it's been around the time getting ready for Ninja training.
Speaking of Ninja training, I decided in getting myself equipped and set for today's workout now that we were back in regular schedule after our reckless sessions the past few weeks in the 'Panic in the Sewers' episode, so without further delay, I removed the covers and sheets off, swung my legs over the right edge of the bed with my bare feet touching the cool and smooth floor, did a quick stretch with my arms up and outward at my sides, then got up from the mattress and went near a comfy sky-blue cushioned chair where my Ninjutsu outfit, waistband, bare-toed shoes, and upper-arm cover with the Hamato symbol laid on. I got changed into them rather speedingly, brushed my hair, made my bed, folded my Pajamas, and made sure everything was as it should be, having me place my hands on my hips and gaze around the tided bedroom with smile of satisfaction. Once that was set in stone, I sat in the chair and looked at the clock patiently for it to set off the alarm for morning training, yet knowing that this training would lead to a snooty conspiracy with the guys at competing and self-scorn for fighting better and proving of being more valuable in the group, having feel slightly nervous and concern for them that this was another self-explanatory lesson that was once again left to be taught.
Soon, seven o'clock came in fast as I walked out of my handmade, tide-up bedroom and went straight toward to Dojo, where seeing Leo, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey all came out one at a time from their respectable bedrooms we wide-awake expressions. We said 'good morning' to one another as we all walked together through the Living area's walkway; turn a corner near the Lair's entrance, went up the stairs to the front door of the Dojo and entered the comfortable yet traditional Japanese training area with its delicate weapons, colorful pattern rugs, the bookshelf at the far right with wax-melted candles, Japanese décor, and the picture frame of Master Splinter as his human self along with his lovely wife, Tang Shen, and his beautiful baby daughter, Miwa.
Once we step footed in the Dojo, Master Splinter, who was fully awake and waiting patiently for our arrival to prepare for today's lesson, greeted him a 'good morning' to us all as we greeted him as well, before instructing us on what we were about to do this morning. He told us that we would be practicing our defense skills by doing an arm block and knee jab technique, saying to 'focus on your form of movement and self-control', at least, something among those lines. Master Splinter said that I would also be allowed to join in with his sons on this, having me feel excited and joyous in training with Leo and the others instead of practicing on the sidelines by myself like the last several times, though I'm not complaining since I need to learn my other katas and movements, but it's nice to be included in a group and training together for a change, you know?
So without wasting any more valuable time, the Turtles and I each got into position, forming a straight line just a few feet away from Master Splinter, who stood underneath the big tree with his hands held behind his back in a professional capacity, eyeing us intently as we took our formative stances for the technique with our left outstretch-armed fist down in front of us and our right armed fist curved at our side. I stood in between Raph and Mikey as we then began by bringing our left arm up in a defensive pose before repositioning with our right arm up in the same pose and switching our stance from our left to our right. Donnie, Mikey, and I were doing it in a regulatory way, Raph was doing it with a bit of tension with bringing power into his movements while adding a left knee-jab to it, while Leo, with his head bent down with his eyes closed in a concentrative kinda way, moving slowly and surely with his defensive poses and changed his stance, having Raph being the first to notice his brother's motions with a stern look on his face.
"Ha! What? Are you fighting a guy in slow motion?" Raph taunts out as he looks over his shoulder while moving forward with his defensive poses switching from one to the other with each step he took.
Having Leo reopen his eyes and narrow his stare at him before quickly repositions his pose by taking another step with his left and switching from his right arm to his left arm all while retorting at the stubborn-headed Turtle:
"I supposed I could to it faster, if I ignored my form, like you."
Raph, who turns his head over towards Leo, clearly seeing the look on his face that he didn't like that comment his Leader said to him, and then turns around fully in a vengeful stance while stating angrily:
"Ignore this form!"
Just then, Raph jumps in and spin-kicks over to Leo, only for the blue-clad Turtle to duck and spun over the other side before doing a jump-kick back at the angry Ninja, but once again Raph dodge-rolled out of the way before both Mutant Ninja Turtle rivals began throwing punches, kicks, and defensive blocking skills at each other, hearing both of them grunting and landing blows from each strike they took. While seeing both brothers fighting in a bickering battle, Donnie, Mikey, and I stopped we were doing by lowering our training stances and straightening ourselves while staring at the scene-taking place before us. I held a look of concern as I stared at the fighting duo going fully at one another in combat, yet I glanced to my right just to see Master Splinter walk up to the competitive brothers, who hadn't notice their Father's approach, with a slight firm stare, stands a meter between as both Raph and Leo spaced themselves from each other, then, Master Splinter brings both of his hands out from behind his back and presses both of his index fingers at each side of their necks; Raph's on his right and Leo's on his left, both groaning and pupils dilating from the pressure points. Master Splinter held them as he brought them close together while Raph, who was gritting his teeth and his right eye was closed tight with his left still wide-eyed with his right twitched hand up near him, and Leo, whose tongue was sticking from the left side of his mouth with his left eye shut tightly and his right eye wide open with his left twitched hand up in front of him, wriggling in sufferable pain before Sensei released them and having both Ninja Turtles collapsed to the floor with a 'thud'.
"Competition is an excellent motivator. But not when it turns you against each other," Master Splinter informs sternly while both Raph and Leo were sitting on the rugged floor, rubbing the sides of their necks where the pressure points were pinned, before they both got back up to their feet, standing in front of Sensei.
"So now, you will spar two on two," Master Splinter inquires before turning his head towards me with his expression softening a bit, "Miss Alora, I would appreciate if you were to stand down on this while my sons compete."
I nodded in understanding, but I knew what was about to happen here that made me feel nervously anxious inside as I looked over to see Leo crossing his arms over his plastron with a confident smile on his face while Raph glanced at him with a blank look.
"Okay, I'll take Don - ," Leo was about to suggest, but was cut off when Master Splinter intervened by instructing firmly:
"You will take Raphael."
Both the blue and the red-clad Turtles were surprised by their Master's instructive suggestion, having Leo dropped his arms down quickly as he and Raph looked at each other than back to Master Splinter as the wise Ninja Rat Mutant explained his reasoning on this.
"You two must focus on working together, not competing with each other."
"Okay, so me and Raph against Mikey and Donnie?" Leo questions in bewilderment while gesturing his left thumb at himself and Raph, who had a smile on his expression, then motioning his hand at his younger siblings before letting a chuckle escape his lips before asking in a sneery way, "Uh, isn't that a little unfair?"
"Leo…" I hissed out worriedly through gritted teeth with my hands balling into squeezed-up fists, seeing as though Leo didn't seem to care about what he said as I glanced on my left to see Donnie perk up at that before placing his hands on his hips with a narrowed stare.
"Wait, what're you trying to say?" Donnie questions in an offense tone, while Mikey crosses his arms with a smug frown, somewhat feeling insulted by that remark as Raph then glances down with the side of his left curled- fingered hand near his chin and his right arm under his left elbow in support.
"Um, how can I put this gently?" Raph pondered, obviously not exactly thinking on the 'gentle' part of putting his sentence as he the looks back up while motioning his opened left hand out before curling his fingers into a fist while stating straight-forwardly, "We're – way better than you guys."
"[Scoffs] at fighting, maybe," Mikey states out obviously with his head slightly lolled on his right with an eye-roll while waving his right hand down.
Raph, on the other hand, let out a stiffy chuckle under his breath before looking at us, mainly Donnie and Mikey, as Leo still smiled smugly when the hotheaded Ninja tauntingly replies:
"Uh, that's what I meant."
I cringed with a nervous, gritted-teeth expression when Raph replied that mocking statement, having me glance back to see Mikey, who looked lost on that, then took realization as he lets his arms falls at his side with a wide-eyed look, letting out an "Oh?" then narrows his expression at the two snarky brothers, saying "Fine" in a harden tone while Donnie was glaring at them angrily with a red vein popping on the right side of his head.
After that score was settled, both teams of two went into separate sides of the Dojo; Leo and Raph on the right, and Donnie and Mikey on the left. Master Splinter was standing in between in the middle of the sparring demonstration while I was standing next to him on his left, looking really worried for not Leo and Raph, who were both grinning and smirking vigorously, but for Donnie and Mikey, who were narrowing their glares at both their older brothers' mockery. The silence fell between the two teams staring at each other, grinning or glaring, lasting for nearly two to three seconds, only for Master Splinter to break the still atmosphere by announcing out the one key word in starting the combat:
"Hajime!"
As soon as that, both sides went at each other, except it wasn't exactly what you call 'a friendly sparring' match, per say. I watch helplessly and sympathetically at seeing both Donnie and Mikey getting pummeled badly by their daring duo brothers, flinching at seeing and hearing the purple and orange-clad Turtles' grunting and groaning from each hit from either Raph or Leo threw at;
Leo throwing a right punch at Mikey with a painful face.
Raph also throwing a side punch at Donnie's face.
Leo hitting Mikey with his elbow that threw the comedian Turtle a few feet away.
Raph sending a sidekick into Donnie's gut that makes him go wide-eyed in pain.
Leo and Raph then went towards each other, laughing while high-threeing, spin around with their high-three hands still holding and then turn and sprinted to their new opponents and laying the smack down on them;
Raph strikes with an uppercut that shows Mikey with an eye dilated groaning expression.
Leo grabs Donnie and throws him off to the side.
Raph does a midair sidekick towards Mikey that sends him flying.
And Leo hits a direct right punch at Donnie.
Just then, Donnie was the first to hit the ground on his plastron, seeing stars and swirls circling around his head with his one left wide-eye open and the other shut tightly, hearing him groaning miserably on the floor, but not long before Mikey followed him in the same position with stars and swirls above his head, both of his eyes shut with his tongue hanging out, groaning in pain as well. With two Turtles down, both Leo and Raph stood over them triumphantly with smirks of satisfaction, having me feel sorry for Donnie and Mikey for being treated like this and a bit angry that Leo and Raph were being total jerks towards them.
"Ya me!" Master Splinter yelled out, ending the sparring session between the two teams as both Raph and Leo turned their positions from their sides and facing each other.
"You were right, Sensei. Working together is fun," Raph admitted with gratitude as he and Leo grinned towards themselves.
'Not exactly the kinda fun I would describe though,' I interpreted within my head, knowing this wasn't what Master Splinter meant by 'working together instead of competing each other'.
I looked behind them in seeing both Donnie and Mikey struggling in getting back up from that brutal display Leo and Raph pulled, having me withheld a sympathetic look in seeing how mistreated they were during that fight. I then glanced to see Master Splinter, who still held a calming and serene demeanor on his muzzle, yet he turns his head down towards me like he knew I was looking at him and saw the expression I was sending him, as if knowing what I was both thinking and feeling. He turns his head away but still bent down, closed his eyes, and lightly strokes his thin beard with his right hand while letting a "Hmm," slip through his closed lips, thinking deep in thought about the situation that has just occurred.
I held a breath as I gazed back toward the others, Donnie and Mikey were in sitting positions while rubbing their heads and sores around their bodies from the hits they both received, I couldn't help myself in watching them in pain so, without hesitation, I sprinted over, passing the prideful and obnoxious Turtle duo, who saw me and followed my sprinted form with surprised looks as I ignored their stares and went over to the two beaten-out Ninja Turtle brothers, knelt in between them, and easily placed both of my hands on each of their shoulders, my right on Donnie's left one and my left on Mikey's right, having them glance at me with squinting eyes, telling from the stricken pressure of the strikes and turmoil hits that bruised them majorly.
"Are you two both okay?" I asked concernly as I lightly rubbed their shoulders in comfort.
"[Groans in misery] Yeah, we'll be, at least," Donnie muttered in agony while rubbing the top of his head with his right hand before he turns his head and narrows his eyes from behind me, possibly at his two older brothers from that brutal feedback.
I then helped both Turtles to the feet by gently lifting Donnie's left arm and Mikey's right arm, lightly pulled them up, and tried to steady them both from falling over onto the floor again.
"Ugh, thanks Dudette," Mikey winced out gratefully with a weak grin, having me let a small smile plaster on my face, but quickly diminished into a worried frown as he then hunched himself over with his right hand holding his stomach, still feeling pressuring pain and achiness, "Oh man, could someone give me the rein check of that sucker punch that was thrown at my eternal organs?"
Mikey bend his head down and hunch himself more with a groan, having me went next to him and place my arms around him for support and consoling his agonizing pressure, having me feel more sympathetic for both him and Donnie at this rate. I then felt that I was being stared from behind my back, having me turn my head around my left shoulder in seeing Master Splinter with a content and pleased smile on his face then nodded in approval and appreciation of my reaction in comforting at least two of his sons, letting me smile and nod back in return.
I then glanced over my right in seeing Leo and Raph talking, snickering, and patting on the backs of the shells at each other, having me frown and furrowed my brows disappointedly at them for being so rude and crucial towards Donnie and Mikey, knowing that the Ninja Team now split into two Turtle pairs when they'll both be facing two different nemesis's within this episode, it will teach them to respect one another, no matter how vulnerable or impractical you are…
Especially when it comes in facing one of Shredder's evil Mutant forces.
No One's POV
Not long when Alora had inquired that train of thought, a few miles away above the surface, the decrypted, gloomy Church was shown in its haunting and bone-chilling scenery as it stood underneath the starry-night sky. Within it, the throne room of the Foot Clan was just as gloomy and chilling to the bone as well, with the Leader himself, the Shredder, sat atop of his stony throne with his Foot Soldiers standing in attention a foot away on each side with sharp spears in hand. Walking towards the throne's platform was the bulky-headed Mutant Dogpound, a.k.a Chris Bradford, who then kneels a few feet from it as Shredder hardened stare pierced through his helmet with both of his fingers touching together in front of him, waiting patiently for what his once prized pupil had to report.
"The Purple Dragon Gang agreed to raise our cut to 80% percent," Dogpound informed with certainty before placing his right hard-covered substance hand into his large left one in respect while adding, "No complaints."
Shredder then moves his arms onto the stone-covered arms of his throne, looking though as if he were pleased in hearing some good news for once, yet didn't show it through his cold, dark eyes.
"It seems your Mutated form has its advantages," The deck-armored lunatic acknowledged with his eyes squinting a few times 'til he then reminded in a firm and vengeful tone:
"But do not forget our primary goal: Locating Splinter, the Turtles, and the Noble Light."
When he mentions the heroine's name, his fists resting on the arms of his chair then tighten in anger, his eyes narrowing deeply in a dark glare, even hearing his voice turn darker by saying the young girl's heroic title seemed to infuriate him more, much then when he said Master Splinter's name. Ever since he heard of her powers, her Intel on him, his accomplices and his plans, and the fact that she was working and protecting Hamato Yoshi and his Turtle companions from him, he was so persistent and obsessive in wanting to capture this mystical-wielding warrior who stood in his way of revenge, but from the dark look in his eyes, no one could tell what he wanted her for. Either way, Shredder wanted both her and Splinter caught and brought to him, even though he let one of them slip through his fingers during his first encounter with her and the Turtles, but he wouldn't make that same mistake twice, knowing that he will have his vendetta against Master Splinter and whatever else he intends on doing with the Noble Light girl, and the Foot were going to carry out that order to satisfy their Master, just as Dogpound here is planning on doing so.
Yet, Dogpound wasn't the only Mutant in the room with the Shredder eager to hunt down the Hamato family and their protector. Swimming in the indoor pool underneath the walkway was a fish Mutant with dark magenta fins with a white underbelly, claw-webbed hands, thin stick-like arms, bright yellow eyes, sharp fanged teeth with two big ones on both corners of his bottom lip, and a large dorsal fin with a missing chunk in the front. The giant, ugly-looking fish was none other than Xever, the once Gangster Leader of the underground street thugs and loyal henchmen to Shredder, who was also Mutated alongside Bradford during their final humanity showdown with the Turtles and the Noble Light, only to be Mutated without legs and less hydro-breathing for air that prevents him from scouring the City's streets in search for the Team of Heroes.
Swimming from the right side of the inner pool to the left, Mutated Xever faced himself underneath the glass-framed floor, having Dogpound turn to see the Mutant fish appear with an infuriated expression on not being a part of the scheme.
"If I weren't stuck in here, I would've caught Splinter and the girl by now," Xever proclaimed angrily with bringing his balled-up webbed fist down in annoyance in his watery domain when Dogpound's shadow loomed over the floor-like glass.
"But you are stuck in there," Dogpound reminded in a taunted way as he brings his left, bulky hand over near the glass and starts tapping it with his sharp claw, hearing the clinking from each tap it hit, having the Mutated fish's eyes widen in panic while reaching his hands up and pressed near the sides of his head, possibly covering his hearing as he beg the bully-dog to stop.
"No, no, no, no! Stop that! Stop that! OW!"
From within the pool, the clinking Dogpound was making was causing a loud clanging noise that would pierce your eardrums, which was exactly what Xever was experiencing as he swam around frantically with his hands pressed against his non-seeable ears, yelling out pleadingly yet furiously for the screeching sound to cease.
"OW! Stop it! Aah! Stop it!"
Then, his yells were answered as Dogpound retracted his claw-like finger from the glass, yet still hovered the glass structured floor laughing at Xever's flailing attempt in the water as the Mutated fish came back in seeing the Mutant Dog's snarky expression of his tauntable action.
"I'm sure you'll get your chance to shine one of these days," Dogpound insures indefinitely before his smirks grows a tad as he then teases sinisterly, "Master Shredder might get hungry for sushi."
Xever, clearly infuriated by that taunt, swims right up towards the mocking Dog Mutant, presses the right side of his face and his webbed hands against the glass, seeing a narrowed glare on his ugly scaled expression that wanted to tare Dogpound apart from his insult.
"Why don't you get in the water and say that?!" Xever declared angrily, only –
"Enough, Xever!"
Both Mutants, standing on the walkway and within the indoor pool, turned to the right in seeing Shredder walking towards them and stands a foot away next to Dogpound while keeping his gaze down at Xever's Mutated form in the water.
"Bradford is right. You are useless to me this way," Shredder admits and proves the Mutant Dog's ambition, having Mutated Xever pull himself back from the glass with a sneer at that comment then swims off in fury.
"I'm counting on you," The evil Foot Clan Leader announces out of thin air, having Dogpound turn to his Master as Shredder turns to him and brings his left arm up and turns his hand into a fist while informing strictly; "Find me some information I can use…"
Yet Shredder's voice turned dark and merciless with his eyes narrowing menacingly as he states out threateningly:
"Or Xever won't be the only one missing his legs."
Geez, never thought Raph and Leo would turn out to be ruthless jerks, huh? After fighting against each other during their morning training session, Master Splinter instructs them to team up in a two-on-two combat, but with both the blue and the red-clad Turtles teaming up together for once instead of competing like always. Though the tables were turned when both hotheaded Turtles start making a taunting mockery against their younger brothers in believing they were more skillful Ninja fighters. Much to both the purple and orange-clad Turtles' infuriation of their older brothers' aggression, they fought against one another as told, but instead of proving both Leo and Raph's theory wrong, the two vulnerable Ninja Turtles were beaten down to a pulp, much to the Noble Light's sorrowful, agitated, and enraged attempt between the two sets of brothers. But being the least of her problems, Alora foresees another horrid vision that ensures the M.O.U.S. of the insane and less threatening scientist/inventor Baxter Stockman, knowing that her and the Turtles will encounter not only him and his robotic army, but the Purple Dragons and one of Shredder's top Hench-Mutants, Dogpound, yet with the Team behaving like this at one another, it will be a troublesome mission to withstand. Will our dear heroine be able to rekindle the Team in becoming one whole unit again? What will happen to our Ninja Heroes when things take an excruciating turn? Find out next time!
I'm so, so, so, so, so sorry for keeping you all waiting! I had a really hard time these past several weeks; I was beside myself. I was actually working on an in-between chapter after the previous one I finished, but then I had trouble, or as you called it 'writer's block' in trying to figure out how to transpire it down from one scene to the next and, it was really irritating and frustrating.
Not only that, the week after my last update, my dog, whose name is PrettyBoy and is a Jack Russell Terrier, he's 15 and a half years old and has cancer, wasn't doing so well during that time and we were really devastated, thinking it was time to put him down. My Dad made an appointment on the 18th in January at an animal clinic to put him to sleep. I was a total wreck during that week, crying my eyes out those last few days, never leaving his side. Yet when it was that day, something unexpected happened; when my Mom took him out that morning in the backyard, he was running back and forth like he wasn't sick at all, which really shocked my Mom. When she told us this, we all had hoped that maybe we didn't have to put him down yet, so my Dad called the clinic again and changed the appointment into a check-up and, once we got there, the Veterinarian said that PrettyBoy was only in Stage 3 of the cancer, which was okay, I guess? Nevertheless, it was a relief that we didn't have to put him down so soon. We're giving him some medication that she prescribed for us to help with the pain and all. We still have to keep an eye on him if things tend to get worse. We don't want that to happen like it did before. PrettyBoy had a sister we named Princess, who passed away on March 12, 2018, having a stroke from the cancer she had that forced us to take her in and put her to sleep (still is painful and sufferable to remember all that). Even with the medication we're giving him, I have a strong feeling he'll be leaving us sometime this year, or maybe not, since he's such a stubborn and strong-willed dog.
So, I've decided when my beloved PrettyBoy does pass on, this story and the series of stories I'll write within the near future will be dedicated to both my Jack Russell Terriers, Princess and PrettyBoy, in honor of their life on this Earth and the love my family and I shared with them!
Forever dedicated to you both. I love you two silly and playful dogs very, very much!
In addition, I was struggling with myself on my writing, wondering if I was being too repetitive with the words and being a bit too fast in putting it all down. So please, PLEASE tell me in your honest opinion if I'm making sense or if you don't understand what I have written, adding enough detail, or anything at all! (Sorry, been really panicky lately). I hope that I will upload the next chapter as soon as possible.
P.S. There is, once again, not just one, but FOUR questions from a few of our readers that were sent to the Turtles and the Noble Light:
"To the Turtles – I have two questions;
The first question states if you went to Alora's dimension/ our dimension, what do you want to do? If so, will you survive thousands of fangirls that'll ask you out on a date?
My second question is are you guys excited that the producer of Paramount decide to welcome a new hero to the big screen and 2020? If you don't know, it's Sonic the Hedgehog! How will you react when you see him?"
Mikey: "Go to Pizza Hut, Dude! I could eat pizza there all day and night; hang out at the buffet bar and try all their different sample pizzas, meet my fans (the girls the most) and pretend that we're all out on a date at Pizza Hut. This way, I don't have to figure out where to take the girls and I can have as much pizza as I can. It's a Win-Win, Dude! Sonic the Hedgehog in a movie? Dude, aren't hedgehogs those creepy little porcupine creatures that always run under bushes and hide when there's trouble? Man, I'm not knocking him or anything, but a hedgehog? Does he eat pizza?"
Raph: "Go visit Alora's New York City and find out how much crime they have. See if it matches the crime in our dimension. Not going there to meet girls or go out on dates. I'd look into helping the New York Cops, especially during the night when crime is highest. Need to butt some heads! As long as he kicks some butt and gets the bad guy, I'm all for it! He sounds like a tough guy, so I think his movie will be something I'd like to see."
Donnie: "I'd like to go to Washington, DC to meet the president, see the Smithsonian Institute, and maybe visit Arlington National Cemetery. If I encounter any girls during my trip, I might see if we could visit the museums or go to the Ford Theater. I would be much more interested to find out the history of Alora's country and spend my time going out on a date. Sonic is a different type of hero than we are. He's more superhero kind than down-to-earth hero like us. I think it will be wonderful for him to get a chance at a movie career, so I wish him a lot of luck with his upcoming movie."
Leo: "I'm with Donnie on this question! I think it would be extremely interesting to visit places in Alora's dimension to see how they measure up to our world – how different they might be! Dates? Nah! I'm there to learn about Alora's world – not go out on any dates! As far as Sonic the Hedgehog getting his own movie this year – I think it's great! He deserves a chance, just like everyone does. I hope his movie is a Big Hit!"
Now, onto the next question that was also sent, but only to Donnie, Mikey, and Raph:
"Do you think Leo and Alora make a cute couple together?"
Mikey: "Wait – Leo and Dudette like each other?! Yo! Why didn't anybody tell me this?! I'd totally would've shipped them if they were together! Cause it's obvious; they hang around each other, like, a lot, they watch 'Space Heroes' together, they both think, act, and talk like Leaders. They're totally made for each other! So, yeah, I would seriously dig on them as the 'cute couple' type!"
Donnie: "Huh, Alora, and Leo together? I've never thought about them as an actual couple. To state the obvious, they do tend to be around each other more so than April and I, [goes wide-eyed at that and stammers] b-but that's n-n-not important right now! [Clears his throat] So, anyway, I sometimes did see Alora blushing a few times whenever she's around Leo, so, maybe, she does like him in a somewhat romantic way? Though on the other hand, I've never seen Leo so happy when he's with her most of the time, seeing him chuckle or laugh and his face brightening up when he's hanging out with Alora. So I guess, perhaps, they might end up together sometime in the future, and yes, I think they do make a 'cute couple', when you put it that way."
Raph: "Leo? And Alora? As a couple? [Chuckles half-heartedly] Boy, I sure didn't see that one coming. Never thought the day those two would actually be getting together. I mean, I can understand Alora being the romance 'match-making' kind since helping Donnie with April, but Leo? I don't see him as the romantic type. He's more into that dumb 'Space Heroes' TV show and learning the aspects of being Leader and all, not to mention being Teacher's pet with Master Splinter in training. Then again, he and Alora are a lot alike, in a way, like how kid there finished that sentence with Leo one time before our fight against StockmanPod, which was both creepy and weird in my book. I dunno, they do seem like the perfect duo when it comes to fighting and being there for us, yet I would describe them as a good team than a 'cute couple'. [Creeps up a smug smirk with his arms crossed] Then again, we'll just have to see what happens next, don't we?"
Alright. Now, on to the third and final question that was sent to both Alora and the Turtles:
"To the Turtles: If you guys could enter any cartoon, which cartoon would you want to visit and why?
To Alora: Do you think you'll discover new powers you'll have in the future?"
Mikey: "Man! I'd like to go into one of those really old Looney Toons cartoons, maybe with Bugs Bunny or the Road Runner. Would be so cool running around with those two, outsmarting Elmer Fudd and Wile E Coyote. Maybe we could have a neat sing-a-long of the title song for Looney Tunes with Bugs taking the lead. Yeah man, that would be so GREAT!"
Donnie: "Well, even though it would be a cartoon environment, I believe I would like to enter Mr. Peabody and Sherman cartoons. Anyone of them would be of great interest to me, because it would be an opportunity to follow along with Mr. Peabody's adventures throughout history. Going different places with him would be a fabulous way to learn new things."
Raph: "Underdog! Crime fighting with Underdog! No doubt about it! That's the cartoon I want to get into. It would be such a hoot kicking butt with that dude."
Leo: "I only have one cartoon character that I've admired for years and that's Mighty Mouse. Not only is he physically strong, but Mighty Mouse is a very strong moral figure, one who will fight for justice and not flinch or back down in a fight. He is my one and only choice!"
Alora: "I'm not so sure. I mean, I was a little surprised myself when I was able to upheld April with my magic just by holding her hand, even though it was really exciting and fun in doing it. But what really got to me before I did it, it felt like I knew how to do it, like a sixth sense, right? I'm still in the midst of learning about these powers, how to control them properly, where they came from, why I have them, and who else out there might have the same magic as me. I don't know if I'll discover new powers, since they keep showing up out of nowhere within me without having myself realizing it, but something tells me deep inside that there's more to my powers here than meets the eye."
To one of the readers' questions of whether I have fan art of Alora and the characters of this story; yes, in fact, I do. I love to draw, sketch, and color. I've made some drawings and images that is representing my story, the only thing is finding a way to get them on the internet and posting them for you all to take a glimpse at. Luckily, my Dad said that I just have to take a picture from each of them and post it here on this site so you can actually see my fan art. Hopefully, I'll be able to do it soon enough. And thank you all for being really patient with me and I'm glad you're enjoying my story!
Stay tuned and thanks for reading!
