Alder was walking away. Bianca stared at the egg in her lap.
"Alder, sir!" Bianca called out. He stopped. "What does it mean to be a pokemon trainer?"
"Training pokemon, I assume."
"But—"
"Look. It doesn't matter. Just enjoy yourself." He walked away, making his way down the stairs into the ruins. Bianca smiled to herself.
"Just enjoy myself."

Kenya was snoring. She was sitting beside me on the bottom bunk. Bianca was on the opposite bunk, holding an egg.
"I should wake her up," I groaned.
"Leave her." Bianca set the egg on her pillow. I glanced at the egg.
"Alder, huh. I wonder what kind of Pokemon it is."
"I was so scared." Bianca took off her hat. "Kenya was angry and you were gone. I didn't know what to do." I got up, Kenya falling over. I sat down next to Bianca.
"I'm fine. Nothing to worry about."
"But." Bianca wrung her hat, wincing. "I couldn't do anything. I was so helpless." I put a hand on hers. "After I talked to Alder, I think I realized something. You, Kenya, Cheren. All of you seemed to be so strong. You never backed down you were never afraid. But I understand. You guys get scared too but you don't let it control you."
"Of course I get scared. I'm not a robot." Bianca chuckled.
"Kenya, too. She was so angry. I should've saw just how scared she was." The two of us looked over at Kenya snoozing peacefully. I patted Bianca's hand.
"Hey, let's get something to eat."

"I should've known." Clay took a drink. He and Cheren were in Clay's office. Clay was sitting behind his desk. Cheren was standing by the door.
"Black Empoleon. You let them run rampant in your city?"
"That's none of your business. You have what you want. Get out."
"Not yet." The door to the office opened. Someone slipped into the doorway. Clay looked up.
"Clay. We need control over Black Empoleon. They have the ability to increase a pokemon's potential."
"And that's what you want? I thought you scoundrels were about—"
"Charlie is the leader, right?" Cheren interrupted. Clay nodded.
"Take us to him."
