Chapter 38

.

Gary had reservations about going to meet John Larabee at night, in private, at Larabee's home. If there was some kind of cover-up, this would be the place to eliminate him. And ofcourse Gary still considered John a suspect in Angel's murder, all this stuff about the Druid Order could just be a pretext. Gary called his old friend Miguel, told him everything.

.

Mguel: I gotta tell you, going to meet a suspect in hisown home at midnight sounds like a bad idea.

Gary: I'll make sure he knows that someone, namely you, knows where I am.

Miguel: What I don't get is, if he has any intel, why not just tell you? Why does it have to be his creepy mansion at mignight?

Gary: He says there are aspects I won't understand unless I see for myself.

Miguel: Are you even sure that this has anything to do with Angel Flint's murder?

Gary: No. But since I've come to Sanctuary I've been able to expose two criminals and bring them to justice, not bad.

Miguel: Still, be careful.

Gary: I will.

.

Miguel was worried about his friend. Until recently Miguel had never heard of the Druid Order, but had begun investigating at Gary's request. Now, he knew exactly what they were, and they had "persuaded" him to keep quiet. And Miguel also knew exactly why John needed to meet Gary at a specific time, and he could only hope that things worked out well.
