"Goku," his wife whispered. She was holding her hands over her mouth like a triangle. Her eyes felt heavy as she suffered holding back the water. "Goten? And Gohan?"

"Yeah," Goku replied. His back was turned from her as he stood, looking off into the vast nothing of the heavens from the greenery on the tiny planet at the end of Snake Way. "They're gone, Chi-Chi." He raised a hand to his head. "Ngh, it's horrible. All of living reality has been destroyed. There is nothing anymore. No more Dragon Balls."

And that did it. Chi-Chi couldn't hold back anymore. She fell to her knees, sobbing. There was no sight between her fingers, only a blur of refractions. White sparks, or perhaps bubbles, appeared before her. They were, of course, just in her head, created by her delirious state from lack of oxygen. She felt her husband nearby, and he placed a hand on her shoulder. It may have seemed distant, but he was deep in thought, despite most considering him to be simple or stupid.

"I'll get them back, Chi-Chi. I'll find a way."

"No, Goku," she said, standing up and turning to him. "We'll get them back."

Goku smiled solemn and sad. The two embraced. "Yeah," he said, burring his face into her shoulder. "Our kids..."

"Who would do such a thing?"

Goku placed his hands on his wife's shoulder's and created some distance between the two. "I don't know, Chi-Chi, but I'm sure Zeno can help us." He reached into his pocket, but the God Button was missing.

"Goku?"

"It's worse than we thought," Goku said. He narrowed his eyes. Just then, he felt a sudden surge of energy incoming. Turning, his eyes went wide as he saw a moon heading towards them. "Chi-Chi!"

"I see it! Do something!"

"There's two people on it." Goku placed two fingers on his forehead. With a thought, he was gone from his wife, and on the moon.
