Asia was jolted back awake, feeling the light crackle of electricity pass through her body. She blinked as the sound of clashing swords echoed all around her. "I'm sorry," Akeno whispered, her warm arm around Asia, holding her, "I know it's bad, I know it's hard, but you have to get up, we will need your power." She must have shocked her awake.

All at once it hit her again. God was dead, her whole life of dedication, offered to something that did not exist anymore. If mortals went to God when they died, where did God go when he died? She felt a sickness rise up in her body, felt the shock start at her heart and run through her limbs. Blackness choked in around her vision and for the briefest moment she indulged the idea of passing right back out.

"Asia." Her mind snapped into focus, Akeno was calling her. Her family was about to go into danger. They, who had taken her in. Those, who gave her love, gave her a home, a place to belong, free from judgment. She was not a strong Devil, but she would do what she could. Her Sacred Gear flared to life, its power flowing out from her core, pulsing warmth into her body.

Her legs straightened and she put a gentle hand on Akeno's arm. She felt lips pressing onto the top of her head before the Queen let her go and she forced herself to look up.

Light and dark clashed with a thunderclap of sound, she could not see anything beyond that. So fast were the two moving, the only reason she could see anything at all was the trail of Light left by Excalibur and the streak of darkness left by Zangetsu. The sound of metal on metal was almost a constant song that filled the air, Asia had to turn away from the sight and focus on what was around her. "Can you do anything?" Rias was speaking very low to Sona who was watching the sky like a hawk.

"Not while he can move that fast. I can't keep up for precision and any AOE is going to hit Ichigo. Even if we give him warning there is no guarantee that Kokabiel would not be able to either get out of range, or just far enough that his weapon could shield him from the effects."

"I can assist him," Both Kings turned to Kiba, his eyes were focused above him, "I will have to be careful, if he is able to focus on me then I am screwed. But…" His mouth quirked, "So long as he can't do that I might be able to get a few hits in."

Rias closed her eyes and an expression of pure self-loathing crossed her face at what she was about to say. "Get Issei to Boost you, that should help."

Issei gulped, looking up at the fight, one Asia could not even see happening, and then back down at Kiba's calm beatific expression. "Got it, Kaichou." He let out a breath of his own. "I can Boost myself up too, it will take a bit, but the Dragon in my arm might have something to help with this."

Rias nodded. "Both of you, if you can disarm him then Sona and I can intervene, focus on that."

Kiba nodded and manifested Twilight in his hands and Asia felt heat slap her on the face like that of a forge. His skin turned molten red, a glowing eye opened on his forehead. "Enshysi!" Holy Light glowed along the black metal of the sword. "Boost!" The sound emanated from Issei's arm as he pressed the Sacred Gear into Kiba's back. The Knight glowed green with power, gave a nod to them all and leapt skyward.

Asia, in that moment, felt pure jealousy for those who could fight like that. She banished the thought as she turned away from them all and walked over to Koneko. The girl was holding her arm, looking up at the fight. It was clear that every part of the Rook wanted to leap skyward to join, but knew that she was injured and, though she could equal the speeds they saw in short bursts of movement, she did not have the reflexes necessary to make use of it. Asia placed her hand on the Rook and began to heal her. Perhaps there would be at least one moment where Koneko could make a move and she would need to be healed to do so. The Rook gave her one quick nod of thanks and Asia got to work.

It was as Kiba had hoped, with the opening of his Third Eye the moving blurs he had been watching resolved into movements he could watch. Both fighters could, for a short moment, reach speeds even faster than what they were doing and literally vanish from sight, but Ichigo and his Zanpakuto had been training Kiba for a while. There was a pattern and sensation to moving that fast, something he could read, or at least partially. But it was now or never. He would grow or die and that would be that.

At his command Twilight began to elongate, splitting into its whip form, as Ichigo and Kokabiel clashed, locking blades. He made his move, a thrusting motion that sent Twilight shooting forward. Kokabiel jerked, forcing Ichigo away, spinning to smash the blade aside. Ichigo almost got him then, in that moment of surprise. Excalibur glowed, granting Kokabiel even more speed, but Zangetsu did manage to pierce the flesh of the Fallen's chest a quarter of an inch. It was enough that the dark power covering Ichigo's blade singed a fist-sized mark into the Cadre's skin.

Rather than hurt or anger him Kokabiel smiled, moving Excalibur in a complicated defence born of skill and effort. Ichigo's attacks were quick, precise, powerful, yet in Kiba's current state he was finally able to truly see the depth of the Rook's skill. He saw it, saw clear as day the fact that most of it was self-taught, it was a miracle of pure genius that it was so effective. That even against Kokabiel it demanded almost all of the Fallen's facilities to fight off the attack. It was beyond Kiba's skill, but he knew his style was smoother, built by the hands of masters for centuries. If someone could refine how Kurosaki fought it would be...amazing.

He saw his opening and moved, keeping his distance with his blade-whip and bought the weapon around to strike at the Fallen's back. Kokabiel did not so much as look at him, switching Excalibur to a one handed grip. In his other hand Light gathered and formed into a blade, with that weapon he twisted his body to block Twilight's molten metal and the force of his parry almost tore the weapon out of Kiba's hands.

Excalibur flared as its power of Destruction was activated, forcing Ichigo to stall for a moment to fight it off. In that second the Fallen streaked towards Kiba like a beam of light. Twilight slammed back into its solid blade form. His forehead burned as his Third Eye strained, and as the Holy Sword came down on him he did the only thing he could; Twisting Twilight to deflect and trusting in the metalwork of the being who had forged the Thunder of Zeus, the Trident of Poseidon and the Helm of Hades. His whole body vibrated as the metals met and Twilight held. The pure speed and strength of the blow was transcendent and the Knight would have never hoped to match it as he was. But its speed was also its weakness, there was no time to focus the blow. It could do nothing but follow the bend of his blade like water down a current. Of course he could not do anything about the second blade, Kokabiel had held it back and the moment Excalibur was deflected it shot forward in a thrust aimed at his heart.

That was when Kurosaki blurred into vision Zangetsu coming around in a strike that would have cut the Fallen's head off. He did not have the time to deflect the blow so he was trusting in the Fallen's desire to keep existing. Kokabiel drew on the speed blessing of Excalibur Rapidly, launching himself to the side just as the steel of Zangetsu kissed his neck.

Ichigo followed and Kiba was right on his tail, the Knight wrested control of his breathing, syncing it with the molten fire inside him. He kept up the pressure on his Third Eye because, right now, in this moment, he could follow the battle and had just enough speed to do something.

"Oh, this sword makes it too easy!" The Fallen howled, bringing Excalibur down, sending a beam of Light forcing the pair to split to either side of it and Kokabiel almost negligently threw his sword of Light like a lance. Kiba brought out Twilight and stuck the weapon. The clash caused a detonation that knocked him into a spinning dive, he caught a glimpse of the man about to shoot another blast at him to finish the job. But Ichigo Kurosaki was there, Zangetsu weaving through a series of blows aimed at the neck, head and belly.

So, rather than take out an annoyance, the Cadre refocused on the actual threat. He still reformed another blade of Light and attempted to use both of them to counter then overwhelm the former soul reaper. But there too Ichigo Kurosaki met him, Zangetsu morphing into twin shaped blades of black and white.

Kiba slammed into the ground, hard, and it knocked the wind out of him. The only thing he could do right then was watch the battle. There was the start of a plan forming in his mind, a chain of ideas that just might allow him to help Ichigo win. It seemed suicidal, but if Brotus had truly changed his body then there was a small chance. So the Knight watched and worked to catch his breath, he had to wait for the opening and he could only hope it would be sooner, rather than later.

They fought in their own little world, both moving as fast as they could push themselves. The power of Zangetsu's Bankai, the teachings of Yoruichi, the skill carved into his body in the crucible of battle, all matched by a Fallen with the power of a god, holding a weapon blessed to grant mortals the speed to face even the fastest of creatures. In his hands it was a force multiplier that Ichigo could match, but not forever.

It cost the Fallen little to use the sword's blessings, even in his state as a Fallen his link to the element of Light was far greater than most mortals could ever hope to match. However, Ichigo did not have to match it truly, he just needed to run out of the clock until a message got through to the Maou. So he had a win condition that was not 'beat his opponent', but that did not mean he would not try for that.

Still, it was an odd feeling, with what each could see, they might as well have been moving at normal speeds. Only the use of Flash Step and the Excalibur Rapidly could make them vanish from each other's sight, but even then both could still track the other.

On the bright side, he had found a weakness, if one could call it that. The blade of Light Kokabiel held was much weaker than Excalibur. Zangetsu White smashed against it sending sparks scattering all around them. Zangetsu Black blocked the counterattack from the Holy Sword. The strength of the Rook, the power of Blut and his own earned strength as a Devil and Soul Reaper, all of it, united, was just enough to match this creature. But only match, and not forever, at least if he let things continue to go this way. "Limit of the thousand hands, Respectful hands, Unable to touch the darkness..."

It was easy for the Cadre to tell that he was up to something, his words did not make any sense save for that of a spell. "Shooting hands unable to reflect the blue sky," Ichigo twisted to avoid, not block, the other sword and retreated, rather than counterattacking, "The road that basks in Light, The wind that ignited the embers, Time that gathers when both are together," They were both blurring in and out of sight, the Cadre chasing him for all he was worth. But Ichigo has played Tag with the Goddess of the Flash. He knew how to evade, "There is no need to hesitate, Obey my orders, Light bullets, Eight bodies, Nine items, Book of Heaven, Diseased treasure, Great Wheel, Great Sky fortress."

Kokabiel made a series of gestures with his hands, and a dozen Spell Crests of Light materialized around him. Excalibur glowed and the Light of the Crests became even deeper and more radiant, each began to hum and shafts of Light shot out like a Gatling gun. The Fallen just filled the sky with Light on the assumption that something would hit. "Aim Far away, Scatter Brightly and Cleanly when fired."

Ichigo manifested his shield and held it before him, and found it easier than he expected to stop the hundreds of bolts that slammed into it. In fact, the gold runes layered throughout the shield's manifestation glowed all the more brightly with every hit. He focused on the Kido he had just finished, using Zangetsu, in its aspect as a Kido Zanpakuto, and holding the spell inside the blade just as he might a Getsuga Tenshou. Ichigo merged the blades back into one, feeling it humming with power. He made it worse by channeling power around the blade, wrapping it in a crimson darkness. The only thing that made it work was the Power of Imagination acting as a buffer between the two Spiritual Energies. Something only possible because of his unique nature. There was an effect on Zangetsu, rose branches of a deep blue color formed on the blade of the weapon, twisting around it to bloom into a mixed blossom of Crimson darkness and Ocean blue.

Almost as an afterthought he dropped the shield and sent a request to White. The Cero that shot out was blue in color, something he hoped might throw off his opponent into guessing that it had been his spell. The blast devoured the Light of Kokabiel's attack, but the Fallen just laughed and met the blast with one of his own. The former Soul Reaper charged though the explosion, his eyes closed, senses focused solely on the enemy. While his Devil Power could be sensed, it was nothing special, lost within the ocean of power that was Kokabiel.

He was surprised at how little damage he took from the ambient Light, it burned but more like hot water than blazing fire. The Fallen was caught off guard as he Flashed into sight, moving low under his guard and bringing Zangetsu around in a punishing strike. It was on the wrong side for Excalibur and centuries of training and struggle had drilled action and reaction onto a level beyond muscle memory. The blade of Light twisted down, the Cadre trusting in his strength to stop or blunt the blow, while at the same time bringing down Excalibur in a chop meant to try and cut him in half.

Zangetsu smashed into the blade of Light, and within the Getsuga Tenshou cloaking it the Kido was unleashed. "Hado 91: Senjū Kōten Taihō (Thousand-Hand Bright Heaven Culling-Sear)." He finished the words just as the blades clashed. Ten shafts of pink light appeared, surrounding them, launching at the Fallen as Ichigo powered though the sword of Light, shattering it then changing the direction of his blow to slam into the descending Excalibur.

Kokabiel could probably have cut him anyway, but he was a bit distracted and it cost him, the Holy Blade scraped along Zangetsu's edge, Ichigo pushing it just far enough away that it only cut off part of his robe tail. Then the Kido hit, erupting in a massive explosion of pink light, Ichigo himself got scorched by the blast before he could pull away.

Coming to a stop, blade held at the ready, he waited for the explosion to fade. Kokabiel appeared, all of his dark wings wrapped around him. Even with how black they were, each looked very scorched. His ridiculous robe was gone, ashes flaking away from the Fallen's body. It revealed a full set of armor that left the arms and legs bare for better movement. It was also blackened as was a decent amount of his exposed skin.

This, at last, seemed to get a response, glowing red eyes locked on Ichigo who narrowed his eyes, and when the Fallen started laughing it set his hair on end. "You bastard, that was pretty good." He made a sound of pleasure and pain as he stretched out his wings and rolled his shoulders. "I can't remember how long it has been since someone actually damaged me." Excalibur glowed in his hand as he rolled the wrist and gripped the weapon with both hands. "You fight like a man ten times your age, little Soul Reaper, and you have my respect." The air began to vibrate. "So I will give you the same respect I would an equal." The Light on the sword became like that of the sun. "I will give you, a real fight," His voice was much softer when he spoke the next words, "And a good death."

The Fallen moved and the full speed of the Holy Sword was unleashed, crossing the space between them as if it was not there. On some instinctive level Ichigo must have seen something because he twisted his blade above his body just as Excalibur came down to cleave him in two. Zangetsu met the blow and Ichigo's arms nearly gave way. It drove him down, out of the sky to impact the earth hard enough to shatter the ground out to forty feet around him. And Kokabiel did not stop, he followed though, bearing down on the Soul Reaper with all his strength.

The clashing powers whipped up a windstorm of terrifying speed, sending dust and debris flying, forcing the watching Devils to raise mystic shields for protection. Kokabiel made no noise as he bore down on Ichigo and one of his knees gave way as he was pushed down. The Fallen Angel simply crushing him into the earth. It took everything just to slow it down, just to stave off death for a few more moments.

Ichigo's arms burned like fire as they strained against the overwhelming might of a Cadre of the Fallen. A being thousands of years old, one who had spent that time growing in power, growing in strength. "If you let him win, he will kill them." Spoke the voice of the White God. Somehow those words contained more than the sum of their letters, more than facts, more than meaning. They were a promise, a vision of his loved ones, his family both near and far, dead. A vision of war that would bring Hell to the human world and leave it open for the arrival of the Beast. "If you die here then everything is lost...Ichigo Kurosaki." A warm hand touched his shoulder. "Now stand up." Something cracked deep within his Soul, a pained scream tore its way out of his mouth. The agony in his arms, legs and chest redoubled as he pushed back. But he pushed through it, calling to his Soul for power, for more power, and power answered.

Ichigo Kurosaki did what he had always done, in battle, when pressed, when beaten: he grew. His scream became a roar as he got his foot under him, as he slowly, ever so slowly, pushed the Cadre back. For his part Kokabiel watched him as if witnessing something Holy. Across Ichigo's head the tips of his orange hair began to dye black, and the Holy Sword Excalibur, a blade almost complete, almost at its full power, held by a user stronger than any that had used it before. The Excalibur...cracked.

They were both thrown back by a blast of wild Light, both helpless for a brief moment. It was in that heartbeat of a chance Kiba entered the fray again, throwing it all in on a single attack. Ichigo's heart nearly stopped when he saw Kokabiel smile. The simple longsword in his hand morphed… the power of Excalibur mimic.

Blades sprouted from the weapon like branches, from those branches more blades sprung. Ichigo could sense a tremendous amount of power being expended by the Fallen as it forced the weapon to work in a way it had never been intended.

Kiba did not even slow, there was a sickening slice, Twilight and both of Kibas hands went flying. The Knight did not even blink, he did not flinch, nor did he seem surprised. His molten body did not burn away from the touch of the Holy sword. In fact, it did not seem to matter that it had been Excalibur at all. Kiba's Third Eye glowed red hot as he passed over the Fallen.

Kokabiel had his arm extended, holding on to the hilt of the Holy weapon with one hand and that was what Kiba had been aiming for. The Knight had used his very body as a sacrifice to reach this one moment, this one chance for him to change the battle. Focused power, the color of lava, shot out from the eye, absolute precision at absolute speed. The beam hit and bored though the Fallen's wrist, the hand spasmed involuntarily. The grip lessened, Kokabiel made the first sound of real pain Ichigo had heard.

Just as both he and the Fallen recovered Kiba made one last move, jets of fire exploded from his feet, rocketing him down, using the last weapon he had, Kiba bit into the hand holding the Holy sword. Teeth the temperature of molten steel clamped down and he twisted in the air like a shark, ignoring the dozen blades that ran him though. There was an arch of blood and Excliabur shrank back to its longsword form, Kiba's bleeding and rent body fell with the blade and alongside them, two fingers and a thumb formally belonging to the Fallen Angel, Kokabiel.

Fury was the only word that could describe the sound that came from the Cadre's throat. A literal torrent of Light shot down upon the helpless Knight. But now, without the speed of the Holy Weapon they were no longer alone. An orb of pure Destruction intercepted the Light, sucking it in like a black hole.

Kokabiel snarled a word of hate, manifesting a blade of Light in his complete hand. He used it to block a tendril of water with force enough to knock him backward. Twin pillars of blue and black power rent the sky as Sona Sitiri and Rias Gremory unleashed their might.

The Fallen stared in shock as the Power of Ruin replaced both Rias's arms and hair. Sona, for her part, did not look all that different, save for eyes that glowed a deep, ocean blue. But with his ancient senses something else became apparent. It was as if her Soul was taking up more space than her body, it felt bigger, not in terms of power, just that it's true shape was far larger.

Ichigo Flashed to Kiba's side, placed a hand on him and moved both of them next to Asia in one Flash. Asia was waiting for them, her sleeves pulled back, her arms already glowing green with healing light. He took in Koneko, still looking hurt, but standing there despite it. Behind him he could sense Akeno making her way to the fight, with one last heartbeat he made sure Nel was nearby, ready for anything. That was all the time he had. Turning he leapt back towards the conflict. He did not have a choice, he noted an orb of water fly past him, he recognized Sona's power and saw the Holy Sword held within it.

Damn his girl was smart, removing what had made their enemy go from a deadly threat to an impossible one. "Little bitch!" Kokabiel howled. "You will pay for that!"

"Don't leave me out!" Rias countered, moving in front of her friend and lashing out with a whip of crimson energy. Kokabiel tried to bat it aside with his Light, but she was near the same level of power as him. It was an effort to force it aside and by the time he did that Sona had returned her attention to him. A massive spell circle appeared under her and torrents of water rose up from it, twisting around her in both offensive and defensive formations.

Kokabiel jerked back and hurled a focused spear of Light at Sona before blurring onto motion, twin swords of Light blazing to engage Rias, though one blade was only held by two fingers. The Devil met him head on, blocking the blows with her arms. His Light shattered on contact, but she must have underestimated his physical strength as she was smashed back and down, slamming into the ground. It said something about her new nature that she only looked dazed.

But before he could take advantage, a figure in Red Armor with claws of glowing green rammed into him. The Cadres wings curled on defensively but only slowed down the blow as Issei cut though two of them. Kokabiel rammed his head into the armored knight blocking a punch. The very tip of Issei's finger touched the armor Kokabiel wore, the Fallen shoved him away hurling a spear of Light but Sona intercepted the blow with with a twisting torrent of gowing water that did not block so much as grapple the Light and break it apart into.

Issei let out a loud sigh and muttered "Dress Break"

"What?" Kokabiel asked, then his armor shattered like glass and he did not have much time to consider that as Ichigo now finally faster than his opponent attempted to run him though. The Fallen made a snap decision and slapped aside the blow with his injured hand slicing it more but at this point that hardly mattered. Ichigo dodged the counter attack flashing a few feet, then flashing again in mid attack going for the back. The Fallen however clearly could see him, guess that part had not been affected by Excalibur. Magic circles appeared around him to block a twin attack by Rias and Sona while he used his sword one handed.

His shields held but when Zangetsu flaring with the light of Getsuga Tenshou cleaved though it, and once again the Fallen twisted his wings in front of him and used his injured arm as a shield. The blow cut through the wings and through his arm digging a furrow along Kokabiel's chest and blasting him onto the ground. As that was happening a lightning bolt came screaming out of the heavens and crashed into the Fallen Angel too.

Kokabiel rose from the dust, hurt but not dead, cornered but not out and once more...he was smiling.

Asia's power stemmed the bleeding from the Knights arms and body, the boy had fallen unconscious moments after Ichigo had left to rejoin the fight. She had to make a hard decision and leave him like that turning her power back on Koneko. Kiba was out of the fight, no matter what she did; had she been Orihime-san she could have done more but she was never one to be jealous of power. She used what she has been given to the best of her ability and that was that, from the little they could see of the fight they seemed to be winning.

She spared a worried look at Xenovia, the girl was still gripping the hilt of her sword, point driven into the ground watching the fight, making no move, her expression a mask of purest pain. Pain that Asia felt but had pushed to the back of her mind, she would hold together until it was over then she could break apart. "You have to wait, Koneko-chan," she whispered as the girl made to stand up, "Let me finish" The Rook shuddered under her hands but stopped trying to stand.

"How bad is Kiba?"

"He will live, thank" Asia's mouth quivered. She could not force the last word out "He will live" she said again "Inoue-san will have to tend to him but I have stabilized him for the moment."

Koneko made a growling sound, her white cat ears twitching in place "I wonder if he was thinking that we had a person who could get his arms back when he did it." Both girls sighed because they knew the answer to that...of course not.

"You people don't make sense" Xenovia whispered.

"What?" Asia gave her a worried look.

There was an explosion of clashing power "You Devil's don't make sense. I have seen the destruction, debauchery, damage, and death your kind can bring. Everywhere I have been sent, every Devil I have fought, every one of them I have killed. They always hurt those around them, they always killed."

"Going to go out on a limb here and say you were mostly fighting stray's" Koneko groused.

Xenovia turned a confused lost look upon them "And then I find you all, people who are fighting for the sake of others. You helped us even though I wronged you terribly, the church wronged you terribly. That boy who declared to my face that he would take on the whole church for your sake saved me just now and for no reason that I can see."

Asia looked down at her hands glowing with green light "I think that there are good people everywhere, I have no doubt there are as many bad Devils as bad people. But there is more, there is love, there is hope, I hurt so much for what I just saw, I hurt from what you have said to be before. But they are here for me, even though that hurts." she looked up to meet the Exorcist's eyes "We are Devil's but we are also people with all the ups and downs that comes with it" she looked past the girl watching the forms of her fellow Peerage members fight the Cadre.

"It was not always this way lass" all heads looked up as a rain of bible pages came falling to the ground. There was barely a sound as a Large looming figure gently landed to face them. Asia's breath caught in her throat feeling tears start to form. The man was exactly as she had remembered, his height put him above any man she had ever seen, nearly seven feet tall with a terrifying thickness to his whole body. Each part of him bulged with power even if the skin was a little wrinkled, even if he was clearly past his prime. He wore a black shirt and pants as befitted a priest, a simple white color around his neck all specially made to fit his massive frame. His bald head gleamed in the reflected light of the battle, old eyes glowed with sadness, a wrinkled face set in determination. Across his forehead red ink glowed in a symbol like that of a bird "During the time when the new Maou were solidifying their hold on the underworld they had no time to monitor what other Devils were doing. Many of their enemies escaped into ours, none of them had good intentions for humanity."

Koneko stood up without a word and set herself in between Asia and the Cardinal "I had wondered if it was you" Asia said.

The old man stopped and the red symbol on his head blazed even brighter "It gives me much joy to know that you still do."

"You took care of me when I was little"

"One of my many attempts to retire little one, you were perhaps three when I had to go back into battle, when they took you away to be raised in the convent." he took a step forward and the mark stopped glowing "I tried to keep an eye on you but...While I was forced on the enemy on facing the creature's no one else could. I forget about the weakness that infests all men, even those of God." Asia flinched at that last word and Vasco turned a hateful look at Kokabiel "Of course he told you."

"You knew?" she asked

"Yes, it was kind of hard not too given the circles i have been walking." the mark began to pulse "I have tried little one" Vasco whispered. The bible pacts began to spin around forming a dome of flying paper "I am too experienced, I have done too much, I cannot slow down anymore." he sounded beaten, defeated, exhausted. He looked over the injured unconscious knight, the small Rook and the broken girl. "I will make this quick I promise."

"As If I would just watch?" Koneko growled throwing all caution to the wind. Blue lighting crackled around her body, her hair shifted to a glowing blue. Lines of deep Azure crawled along her body.

"Please be enough to stop me"

That was when Xenoiva straightened and pulled Durandal out of the ground. "There is little left for me," she said, her voice calm "The only thing I can do is what is right."

Vasco looked upon her, looked into her eyes "Well done" he said as the girl launched herself at him. For a heartbeat his body twitched as if he was forcing himself to hold still, but that was all he could do. A simple sword was drawn from somewhere, Asia could not tell, in his hands it looked like a good fashioned longsword. Anyone else holding it would have been an oversized greatsword, Light flared along its bare metal blade as the Violence of Heaven made ready for war.

Xenovia struck high then low in two brutal slashes, Vasco blocked each with a gentle flick of his blade. The girl slipped aside and thrust her blade dripping with Light as she sent a wave of it at the man. Vasco simply held out his open hand, the power struck it and vanished as if never there. "So it is true,'' Xenovia whispered, "Magic Nullification." Vasco nodded before unleashing a brutal series of slashes each quick, each pinpoint in persion, each of unreal power for a scion of humanity. Just three blows in she knew he was not going to kill her, he could have with the first blow.

Still she had a purpose, even one as ephemeral as keep one wronged girl alive for as long as possible. He started to move away from her and Xenova attacked again, going for the brute force, attacking again and again and again not bothering to defend. If Vasco decided to kill her than there was nothing she could do to stop him so she decided "Fuck it"

Vasco met every strike with an easy block, his eyes filled with pity once again he knew very well how strong he was. He did not look down on those with lesser strength, and while he could not allow himself to lose the Geass only required him to kill one… it was a shame they had included that he could not kill himself... So in that case only one would die.

One handing the blade he blocked her full might, there was the sound of an explosion and Koneko barreled towards him so fast Xenoiva couldn't follow the motion, but Vasco was a different story. His arm was up in a classic defensive block, blue lightning crackled as a shockwave of air shoved Xenoiva back. She watched as Vasco was pushed back one step, then two before bringing the sword around smacking the Devil with the flat end. The girl crashed into the wall of bible paper and Holy Light did not slow her as she bounced off to hit the ground. The exorcist… no formor Exorcist, after all she was attacking her superior; had a moment to note that the girl did not seem as burned by the Light as she should have been. Indeed, she rolled as she hit the ground and was back on her feet. "Raaaa" she snarled like an animal charging the priest again. Vasco looked to be the paragon of patience as she slapped aside one of her punches while keeping the sword in Xenovia's direction. Koneko spun with the blow and swept out a foot in a hard kick aimed at the man's midsection. That too he blocked though she heard a grunt, saw the shockwave and the small bruise forming on his skin.

Koneko leaped forward into his guard, a crackling fist aimed at the man's crotch, the man did not defend himself from the blow accepting it as the price of being able to slam his closed fist down on her head like a hammer. There was a force behind it similar to the strength the Rook had been showing. But his was power and finesse, the proper amount of force in the proper spot. In this case the proper amount of force was enough to crack the ground in all directions. Xenovia charged trying to inteverin but a large boot stomp followed and the Rook stopped moving.

Her sword clinked harmlessly off his waiting blade, it was as if he knew her every move as if he could see it in advance. She went even more wild attacking in foolish ways to try and throw it off but the blade was there. In the few cases it was not, his other hand, covered in Light would bat aside the blade with just as much grace as his sword. She simply did not have a chance, and as his fist buried itself into her gut throwing her against the swirling barrier of paper it was all she could do to keep her eyes open.

With a look approaching a level of self-hate that she had not known existed, Vasco turned around to walk towards Asia. The former nun had not moved from where she knelt beside Kiba, she looked terrified and scared yet she did not run, nor did she let break her compourse. She heard Vasco intake a breath to say something when the top of the barrier shook, once then twice, then at a third blow something shattered for just a moment as Akeno Himejima her body wreathed in lighting landed on the ground in front of Asia. "Get back" the word was like a spell all its own and a flash of white lightning shot towards Vasco. All the Cardinal did was hold up his empty hand and the magic smashed into and dissipated around it. That was when the ground, all of it turned to ice, Xenovia dimly noted the hole the Queen had created closed on its own.

Akeno's hands moved in complicated arcane gestures, spikes of ice shot out of the frozen ground. Vasco did not seem to care about the slick surface as he moved with the ease of a dancer blade and glowing hand swatting aside the bullet fast ice. One of Akeno's hands glowed green with earth runes as a block of ice covered dirt about teen feet square popped up out of the ground. She made a punching motion and it shot at the Cardinal who stopped it with one hand. Lighting curved around the block as she attempted to catch him off guard, Vasco covered himself in Light taking the hit but not seeming to be affected all that much. Guess his anti-magic was not perfect, or at least involved moving his hands. Akeno let out a cry of effort as the ice turned to mist and the Rock to sand each covering the Cardinal before reforming as stone and ice.

The Queen did not so much as pause in her casting drawing in a tremendous amount of Devil power between her hands forming it into a spear. The prison shattered at about the same time she hurled her attack at Vasco. His hand came up and the magic shattered to pieces, Akeno moved her hands as if they were trying to scoop something up and throw it into the air. Wind picked in a gale force, one which the cardinal withstood simply uneffected his body glowing with the Light element. Small blades of wind bounced off that armor with little effect, the sand it whipped up did mave him close his eyes as he walked a few more steps forward. Akeno interweaved lightning bolts into the windstorm causing them to jink and strike from different angles. Vasco eyes closed, met each with a blade or hand only slowing slightly "Get back" the girl snarled.

"I cannot," he replied sorrow in his voice.

Light blazed in the Queens eyes as power gathered to her, she bared her teeth in pure hate at the man she could not seem to stop. She spared one glance at Asia and seemed to come to a decision, the wind died, all other magic she was holding fell away gathering to her like a storm.

That did make Vasco pause, Xenovia watched him take an odd stance, dropping his sword to the ground and slowly starting to weave his hands through the air. Something pressed on her senses as the very earth began to shake under the Queen. The air began to small of Ionized particles and ozone, an odd burnt smell that seemed to fill the whole space they were in. A magic circle at least twenty feet in diameter spun into existence behind her "Then I will make you" she hissed, what followed those words was a beam of lighting as wide as a manhole cover that smashed into the most powerful man in the world. He seemed to catch it with his hands keeping them moving in circular motions. Some of the magic was dispelled, some bled away around him, some touched his flesh but that hardly seemed to faze him at all. What was more he held his ground under the onslaught.

Akeneo roared her fury at him and something changed, her wings shot out of her back two Devil wings on the right...and two black wings on the left. Wings like those that adorned the Fallen Angel's "The lighting changed, its core still the seam but twisting Light dancing around it, throught, becoming part of it. Xenovia blinked in shock, she knew what this was; this had been in one of the files of an old Fallen. One on the same level as Kokabiel "Baraqiel" the word forced itself out of her lips. "Why did this girl have that power, what was with those separate wings?"

Something about the mixed nature of the power seemed to affect Vasco in a way the purrer powers had not. Part of the lighting dancing off the main beam lashed into him like a whip tearing through his Light armor and scorching skin. Then he started to slide back along the broken ground as Akeno poured more power, power that she had never used before into this attack.

Foot by foot, the Violence of heaven was forced back his hands never speeding or slowing in their smooth motions. "Get away from My ASIA" Akneo screamed out the girl's name and her power redoubled as she threw everything she had into it. Xenovia had to close her eyes, the Light was so bright There was a detonation and she flinched waiting for the explosion. But nothing happened though she could feel the air whipping at her body. When she opened her eyes she saw Vasco in front of her, his black shirt had been scorched off, long burn lines crossed his arms and back where some of the attack had leaked though. His hands fell to his sides for a moment and she was shocked to see them blackened and burnt.

"Was that what you were trying to figure out with all those spells before lass?" His voice was conversional as he walked forward again pausing to pick up his sword. Akeno did not answer her body was trembling, all her power spent in that one attack "I do have issues with a constant stream of energy or spell." he nodded at her "It was well done, no one in my order, save me, could have survived that. The Devil stumbled a little, managing to raise on fist as if to strike the man.

A single tear fell down Vasco's old face "Your love for her is beautiful" Akeno glared her hate at him and changed, the old man did not even bother to block the blow which impacted his chest to little effect. With a motion that seemed absolutely gentle he grabbed her head and moved this thumb up then across. Using the blood of his own body to form a cross, Akeno's body seized up and he laid her gently on the ground paralyzed by his exorcism.

"Don't hurt her" Asia whispered.

"I don't intend to" the old man said in a tired voice "I am only going to kill you, then I will sit down beside you and wait until one of them can finish me off."

"Noo" Asia cried

When Vasco looked down on her and spoke in the voice of a broken man "Though the ministry of the church" his words punctuated every step as he moved to stand above the former nun "May God give you pardon and Peace, and I absolve you of your sins, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy spirit….amen" The blade came down, the world seemed to hold its breath, Akeno screamed, Xenovia whimpered.

Then there was a force, a rush of pink smoke, the sound of steel on steel a sudden intense pressure falling across Xenovia's soul the feeling oh so similar to Ichigo Kurosaki. The smoke faded and standing over Asia was a woman, she was a good foot less in height than her opponent, wearing what looked to be a torn green skirt connected to its cloth across her chest that did not deserve to be called a shirt. It had sleeves at least but the cloth across her impressive chest hardly was long enough to cover her nipples and left the undersides of her breasts exposed to all. Her green hair fell about her back and shoulders with wild abandon. The top of her head was adorned with what looked to be the top half of a ram's skull. Hard brown eyes, looked upon her enemy. Her face a perfection of features that might as well have belonged on a statue carved by a master. The only imperfection was the odd red mark across her face that looked to be as much a part of her body as her green hair but even that seemed to make her more stunning. Her long bare legs, free of any sort of footwear were set in an aggressive stance. In her hands a Katana which held back the killing blow that had been aimed at the Bishop.

Asia looked up at the woman, her eyes shining with tears, the wind whipped up by her spiritual pressure caused her green hair to part for a moment revealing a black number three tattooed across her back. Vasco bore down on her with all his might and was stopped cold.

"Nel-chan?" Asia whispered.

The air seemed to vibrate as the spiritual pressure rose. Xenovia felt it like a lead blanket across her everything and the woman was not even aiming it at her. She watched as Vasco calmly withstood the full force placed upon him. "Can you stop me?" Was all he asked.

Green energy the color of her hair shrouded the women called Nel. "As you are now?" She looked the cardinal up and down "Without a doubt." There was no arrogance in her voice, no tone of superiority. It was a simple statement of fact.

"Then can you stop me from killing her?" The women vanished in a burst of static sound. Vasco took a step back blade up, but he had not been the target. Xenovia felt a hand on her and the oddest most quite sensation of movement. When she blinked her ass hit the ground as she was dropped next to Asia, with both Koneko and Akeno in tow. "Negacion" Nel whispered.

Around the four girls and one boy a green square glowed for the briefest moment then four walls of Light shot skyward seeming to go on into infinity. "It is a power me and my brethren use to save our comrades." The words were for the ones in the barrier and the man outside it. "It creates a defence that separates those inside within a separate dimension created by my own power. It is not magic so you cannot break it, it has no weakness to Light so you cannot dispel it." She met the gaze of the Violence of Heaven without fear. "The only way of lowering it is if I do so or" she smiled.

"I kill you" Vasco nodded "Smart, though I truly hope you can live up to your words." The man's stance settled, his longsword gripped in both hands and turned so that its point was aimed at his opponent's heart...the joke was on him through a hollow heart was their mask "Because I was fighting things stronger than me since I could walk."

"So was I" Nel replied, switching her Katana to her right hand and reaching down to grab and hold her scabbed in her left gripping it in the middle. "And my world was a lot harsher than yours."

Vasco's eyes narrowed "We might have to agree to disagree on that." It was the first emotion other than shame they had seen thus far. Nel shrugged and kept her ready stance "I should warn you, when I was the user of Durandal they called me miraculous for my skill in its use. Nel gave no response but Vasco nodded "At the very least it is not at its strongest without a Holy Blade. But since those have a slight habit of being conduits for Miracles well the ones in charge could not take the chance any of them might dispel my geass."

"Tell me" Nel spoke in a board tone "given that whole anti magic thing you have the only way you could have been cursed like that is if they let you. So were you just an idiot blindly following orders or did they trick you somehow?"

"Worse" Vasco looked down. "Someone I considered a dear friend misled me and put the condition upon me that I could not dispel it myself."

Nel sucked in a breath "Then you have my sympathies."

"Thank Mrs?"

"Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck" after a moment's pause she added "Most call me Nel"

"Then thank you Mrs Nelliel" Vasco's breathing changed, it was almost visible that took in more air than with every breath, every expansion of his lungs. "Please do not underestimate me Nelliel, I created this throughout all the years of my life, through interaction with the greatest Angels of God. Each of them teaching me a piece of their endless grace."

In response Nel gently taped the place on her mask where there had once been a crack. A blow given to a woman acting very stupid and letting her pride get the better of her. "I will not"

"Good"The word was like a final pin being dropped, Vasco vanished, there was the sound of steel on wood Xenovia flinched as it was followed by a scraping sound of metal on metal. The old man was in front of her, the green barrier the only thing between them. The only thing protecting them. Vasco let out a pained gasp before twisting his sword and putting his arm on the flat of it to block a return blow. Nel had a slight cut on her side and a solid cut in her scabbard.

"That was the second blade skill I made, a gift from the Archangel Gabriel. With a few seconds preparation I can make a single attack at God's speed. Though the fact that you were able to still react is...troubling."

"That seems like a special word" the Arrancar replied. "Also why is the blade red, is that important too?" Said steel had turned a crimson color like blood

"It is for both, more than that I will not say."

"Still it does seem draining to the human body."

Vasco smiled "You have no idea"

Though her body was not even a fourth the size of Vasco, her arms like twigs before the mass of muscles he called an arm there was a simple difference between them. Nel was not human, nel was not even a Devil. Through her bond with Ichigo Kurosaki she had gained many things. The ability to switch between forms, no need to eat souls, the ability to sleep in his bed. Lots of nice perks, hell the familiar bond was a two-way street, sure you have your undying service to another person. But you gained from them as well, if they grew stronger so would you, if you needed power you could take it from them. In her case she had been given a great deal more.

However, none of that had changed over much of what she was, and Arrancar physically so far above humanity that she might as well be a god. No weakness to Light, immunity to all but the most direct forms of magic these people could throw at her, the power of a soul reaper and hollow combined.

Nel began to force him back, and to his credit Vasco did not let any of his pride as the strongest human alive lead him astray. He gave way sucking in more air as Nel followed with quick efficient steps, he swung his blade at her and she shifted to block when something odd happened, the red blade seemed to grow hazy as the crimson light was leached off the weapon. Her block was mistimed and it slid inside her defenses. Thankfully she was still holding her Scabbard and moved it across her body on instinct deflecting the strike but noting that it tore a furrow in the material of her scabbard.

Vasco followed the strike picking up amazing speed doing a full spin so fast she did not have time to take advantage and moved back a step rather than meet the blow head on, she noted that at the end of the spinning attack the blade turned red... again. The Cardinal moved to the attack and Nel's eyes widened as she lost track of his one blade and it seemed like three were attacking her at once each trailing something that might have been fire. So the Arrancar gave way even more using her speed and agility to maximum effect, with one blink of her eyes she found the true weapon and moved to regain the initiative. Vasco gave way this time weaving his blade around him in a series of slashes that she found annoying to get though. His blows did not meet her blade head on, rather they timed to strike her weapon away or slide her blow to a different direction. In the few second this happened she was starting to get the timing when the blade turned red again.

The Cardinal lunged at her and she jerked back only to find the blade starting to pierce her flesh though her iron skin, it was odd she had though she judged the distance right. Thankfully her scabbed saved her again smashing into the blade and batting it aside. Vasco moved into a spin off the inertia but Nel was having none of it noting that the blade had lost its crimson color once more. She stepped inside his guard and met the blade with hers as he completed the spinning strike, the force of which was surprising but something she could deal with. The blade flickered red anyway but she did not bother to let it become of use ramming her skull cap covered head up into Vasco's jaw. There was a crack and his movements faltered, his breathing disrupted the blade and it lost its red hue.

Still inside his guard, too close to bring her blade around she dropped her scabbard and struck him twice in the chest each blow strong enough to shatter a building. All it did to this humans' body was make him stagger clearly hurt but not dead, whoever this man was he truly could be called a miracle of his race.

All that went through Nel's mind and it did not slow her for a second, her expression had never changed since this fight started. Calm devoid of the emotions she was feeling, her body moving like a machine. If these sword tricks of his required special breathing, then it was her job to make that as difficult as possible. She drove him back each step a blow that could sever boulders in half, her speed being what it was he could not get the second he clearly needed. So of course he decided not to play fair either, a stone rolled out of his sleeve he sent a fragment of his Light into it and a rune glowed gold. A Barrier sprung up around him, one that blocked Nel's first blow but not the second, that was enough however. His breathing had returned but now sweat covered his face.

His blade began to move again in that odd series of defensive strikes but Nel was starting to get the hang of them. She pushed forward and made him give way, forcing him to use his blade as in a desperate defense diving him further and further away from the girls. His blade turned red again and Nel followed her instincts and vanished in a burst of static. Her after image was still in the motion of attack and she watched as Vasco's body moved with impossible speed, on moment going for a low thrust the next he had leapt above her and was bring his blade down in a powerful overhead slash, oddly the godlike speed vanished before the attack began to fall. Still it passed through her after image and the red hue disappeared, whatever the grace of the Archangel did it was clearly bullshit if this was just what a fragment let a mortal do.

Vasco leapt after her spinning once in that circular slash returning the blade to its red hue, their swords clashed and the blow felt stronger than what it would have been without the red blade. She noted that he looked pleased, very pleased with what was happening, the fact that she was hardly injured, the fact that he was exhausted, the knowledge that he was going to lose. The red mark on his head glowed again "It's all or nothing" he said, the words a boast and a warning.

Well if the greatest of all humanity was going to give it his all, she could do the same "As you wish" She turned her Katana so her hand was touching it back, as Vasco moved though his defenceive blows and spinning strikes each one seeming to add to the blade. The man almost looked for a moment like he would pass out, his face almost turning blue despite all the air he was taking in, the sword in his hand cracked, in fact it cracked all over, from hilt to tip. Now it looked like the only thing truly holding it together was the man's magic. A flame lit upon the steel a white pure flame that set the air to humming. The sound like a choir of Angel's filling all who heard it with both terror and elation. Nel's instincts focused on that as the screamed danger, dangerous, the man looked like he was about to fall over and yet this was the most danger she had been in for quite a while.

"To think I would do this without a Holy Blade" Vasco mused.

"Declare Gamuza" Nel responded.

The torrent of pink that pierced the sky became visible to all, the barrier was done many mortals watched in shock from far away, seeing the lights, hearing about the odd evacuation. More news crews had arrived each with a camera pointed towards a small city few had heard of until this point. Police and some small amount of internal security forces were keeping any from venturing further having been told from the very highest levels of authority that under no circumstances was anyone to get near it.

So all watched the pink energy price the sky, all feet a crashing weight for the briefest of moments before it passed leaving many confused. And the few who had some idea were absolutely terrified.

More alarms and sensors broke apart and the member of squad 12 unfortunate enough to have the shift this day put his forehead on the desk. "A fucking Arrancar why? What the fuck is Kurosaki doing?" even as he moaned his fate, his fingers were moving writing even more messages with facts like, all of Kurosaki's allies were headed in his direction or the fact that he was strong enough to blanket all of japan with his spiritual pressure for a brief moment, something that had destroyed more of their sensors. "The Central 46 are not going to be happy" he sighed.

Vasco had the odd sensation of having to be the one who looked up at a person, Nel's transformation was quite district in its own way. She stood at around nine feet in height, her lower body translated into that of a horse covered fully in brownish fur like some horse out of ages past. Her new body part was powerful, muscled, and all the extra flesh added on was empowered by the iron skin making her lower half nearly impregnable, even more so because she did not have anything vital in there anymore. Her shoulders now bore white armored paldurns, her arms covered in a black material along with elbow guards and white gauntlets. Her mask had been affected as well the horns becoming more curved and pronounced the teeth settling across her brown like a helmet. Warped around her belly and back was what looked like an armored corset pressing up against her boobs but protecting everything below that. Across its center was the mixed mark of the Gremory and Sitri..Ichigo's mark. A smile touched Nel's face at the change noting that it did not include armor to cover her chest nor even cloth to increase her shirt length to cover the whole of her boobs. "Naughty boy" she said fondly, letting her spiritual sense find comfort in Ichigo's ambient energy all around her.

However, the biggest change was her weapon, and it was a surprise even to her whereas before it had been a double sided lance it now resembles a naginata made for a creature of her size the blade on the end looked exactly like a piece of Zangetsu in bankai. Despite her never having held such a weapon in her life it felt so right as her hand closed around it and its end lit with crimson green power, like her version of Getsuga Tenshou.

"Thank you for taking me seriously" Vasco wheezed "I made this with the help of Michel, the trump card of heaven, holder of the Grace of ADIN" a smile quirked at the old man's lips "That means the Sun of God" as if on his words the blade began to glow like the sun at midday. The old man set himself right foot forward, blade held high and on guard. "Luna creciente"

(Crescent Moon)" was her reply. The whole of her weapon lit with crimson green power and she grabbed it with both hands holding it on a high guard like her opponent.

"Form 10 Michael the One" Vasco took in one mighty breath and moved, the speed was just as breathtaking as before. A speed that surpassed all opponents Nel had ever fought but even in her sealed form she had been able to slightly react. In Resurreccion with all of her stats pushed even higher, her eye could make out the blur of Light that was Vasco. Her weapon came down with all the speed of her agility and strength. "Getsuga Tenshou" she whispered. The word united the power of Ichigo inside her and her own ability, merging the two into something far greater than the whole. Crimson Green clashed against sun fire white, and at once Nel was grateful she had put the whole of her effort into this. The Grace of Michael pushed the strength of the man's blow to a level so far removed from humanity that the blow might as well have come from a god. But Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck, former third espada, familiar of Ichigo Kuroski, now not only driven by her power, but his as well, did not break under the God Strength of the strike. She felt her arms burn under the heat, black fabric curling alway, her poor shirt caught fire and burned away letting her suddenly very tan assets spill free not that she cared in the slightest.

The impact tore the ground around them sending a cobweb of long cracks one of which went under the school and caused part of a building to collapse, crimson green light fought sun fire white making everything around them look dark in comparison. Even through the barrier of a separate dimension the four girls, all of whom were now at least sitting up thanks to Asia's efforts felt a small echo of the shockwave.

Nel did not flinch when the man's sword exploded and shrapnel blessed by the grace of the sun went everywhere. Her new battle costume was enough to deflect a piece that would have grazed her, the font part of her lower body took several shards which pierced her skin like it was paper and drove themselves a foot into her horse half where they burned with a deep agonizing intensity. One glanced off her skull mask shattering a horn, seven or eight smashed against her Negacion. Thankfully whatever fragment of grace powered the weapon it had not been designed to cross dimensions and they bounced off it harmlessly.

Vasco stared at her, a smile of pure victory on his face as a jet of blood erupted from a slash that covered the length between his shoulder and hip. The only thing stopping his body from sliding off was the fact that the blow had not hit his spine. "Thank you Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck for stopping me from commiting my greatest sin" he fell back onto the broken earth and lay still. Somehow still breathing, still alive despite the damage that would have killed any other human like him. He had not Sacred Gear to make him more, even the small bits of grace he had been given to make that sword still had still depended on his own effort.

Nel let out a long breath and glance behind her to see Asia looking straight at her pointing to the Negacion then down. With an effort of will the barrier fell and Asia ran up to her "Are you ok?" the other three girls were just staring in awe at the Arrancar "I will be fine" she replied with a fond sound in her voice her hand gently patting the top of the former Nun's head.

The poor girl looked to be filled with confused feelings at suddenly being so much smaller than the girl she had held on her hip just the other day. "What about your wounds?"

The Arrancar grunted "Given where they are, when I let go of my Resurrection they will just fall on the ground. But I don't have the power to get back in this from" at least not without using all the power Ichigo had given her something she did not want to do. "So it will have to wait."

The Bishop nodded and walked over to where Vasco lay, paralyzed and dying "Hey little one" he whispered. The girl in response knelt and placed her hands on his body and the green light began to glow.

"NO!" he sounded panic "The moment I can move I will try and kill you again"

Nel looked down at her head tilted "Does he mean that much to you Asia?"

Lighting crackled as Akeno stalked up, her fist clenched, her wings of both types were rigid with tension. It was clear she was of the thought that killing the man right there would have been the safe and reasonable option. It was just as clear that Xenoiva would not have let that go unchallenged despite the fact that it would result in her death. Koneko did not seem to care either way now that Asia was safe for the moment, her gaze had shifted to the battle between their Kings, Ichigo and Kokabiel.

Neliel severed the Gordian knot, clip clopping over to the man stomping on his head twice, neither blow a killing one but enough to render him unconscious. "Nel-san" Asia started to scold but stopped herself.

"We can deal with him later" the Arrancar said "Can any of you fight right now?"

Given how much power most had used the answer was no all except for the one human of the bunch "I can" Xenovia said her eyes distant the tone of one uncaring for if she lived or not.

"Get on then"

Nel held out a hand and after a confused moment the former Exorcist took it and was hauled up on Nel's body. "Jinete Verde (Green Rider)" the Arrancar said. There was a flash of pink reishi, Xenovia found herself landing on a saddle of sorts. The moment she did so the white substance became like liquid flowing around her hips and legs sealing her to the Arrancar. But it was not all bad, a power Nel's power flooded her body and soul. The feeling something akin to euphoric filling her with a sense of strength and power she had never known before. In return the weapon she held and the power that connected her to it flowed down into Nel causing her weapon to glow with the Light element and the burning of the metal in her body to cease. "Get ready girl" Nel said calmly as she turned to face the other battle.

"Wait," Nel blinked as Akeno walked in front of her, sending Devil power at her, repairing her shirt, "You're going to give Issei a heart attack with those things, might as well not outright kill him." the Queen half joked.

Nel's calm expression melted "Oh thank you, it's my favorite shirt." She set her weapon on the ground and reached down to pick up the girl and hug her, pressing her face between her breasts.

"So this is what that is like" Akeno mumbled into the soft flesh.

"Thank you thank you thank you" the Arrancar repeated holding her like that for a long moment. Akeno was starting to run short of breath...and get slightly aroused by the time Nel put her back on the ground and picked her weapon back up. "Keep her safe" she told the Queen "Keep him unconscious" Akeno's expression shifted to match Nel's returned neutral look.

"It will be my pleasure" and with those words Nel charged off into the air.

They had him, he knew it, they knew it, by themselves it might have been a different story, Sona and Rias were not quite at his level yet though they were coming close. In fact, this battle, the fact that they were using their abilities to the fullest was making them grow. Ichigo was the Fallen's equal in pure strength and speed, though in terms of raw power he fell a little short. But that was by themselves and right now they were fighting as a unit. Supported by Tsubaki as Akeno had been sent off to reinforce the group defending Asia, and while it galled both him, Rias, Rias, and Issei that they could not afford to do so as well both knew their duty. Besides he had his trump card in place, one that was apparently used already as he felt Nel make her entrance. In that women, his familiar and friend he had absolute trust so he focused on his battle.

They had left the grounds of the school and were dueling in the air high above the city, Issei in support as needed. Ichigo did his best to keep in the Fallen engaging him in melee while Sona, Rias, and Tsubaki launched ranged attacks of magic. They were hemming the Fallen in, wearing him out as he was focused to spend vast amounts of his power to block, deflect or dispel the attacks thrown at him by the Super Devils. Several times he had to just take Tsubaki's attacks because the damage they inflicted on him was less of a bother than the energy he would have had to expend defending it.

Around them both Sona and Rias were weaving tentacles of water and destruction trying to block off routes of movement for the Fallen. Slowly, ever so slowly they were winning and Kokabiel could not have that. So he made use of his one advantage, raw pure power.

"Well done Devils, well fucking done" he hissed "But I do not just die" Ichigo rushed him but he let out a howl of effort blasting him back with and expolsion of Light, one that Kokabiel himself was damaged by. With his maimed hand held aloft Light gathered to it, power enough to wipe out a city. In his full hand the same kind of force gathered as he expended all his power in a single gambit. "I should thank you two" he nodded at Rias and Sona "For the idea" gripped in either of his hands was a tendrel of Light falling about thirty feet below him in length like long whips.

Far above them hundreds of circles of Light appeared in the sky "Let's see if your Peerage's are as resilient as you what do you say?" As a response Sona and Tsubaki broke up retreating as Sona called to her power and it answered her with a foghorn roar, pillars of water breaking though the ground dozens all over the city each reaching out and bending to to focus over the areas where she could sense her Peerage and her friends Peerage. Light began to rain, Light from the power of a Cadre, what she did not protect, it destroyed. Houses and memories, monuments, shops, restaurants, parks. All of it was blasted, the ruin under the rain power, to Sona it was a vision of hell that war on the scale of the supernatural could bring upon a people.

Kokabiel howled with laughter as he danced among the falling Light the whips moving around him like a storm each blow a reaper's scythe for anything that was Devil. Rias was protected by Sona's barrier but she was the one who found her movement limited forcing her to keep her conjured tentacles close around her. As it took several working in tandem to block and deflect the Light which slashed at her hungrily.

Ichigo for his part danced among the rain of Light a trail of crimson darkness following him as he dodged and cut though the spears. He was a blur of afterimages rushing the Fallen Angel in a twisted pattern of movement required to navigate the hazard. He blocked a swipe from the whip and was sent spinning for his troubles, Sona had to divert more of her power to protect him for the crucial seconds of helpless tumbling. He righted himself only to be attacked again as the Light whipped towards him. Ichigo met the blow with a blade powered by Getsuga Tenshou which knocked the weapon aside. As he moved forward again the whip coiled like a snake to lash at him as he dodged more spears of Light. This time he just dodged the damn thing making a beeline at the Fallen. Kokabiel howled out words of Enochian and let go of one of his whips. The thing wriggled like a living thing lashing at Rias who had her hands full defending against it. The other weapon shrunk back into a spear that hummed with an ominous tone, the Cadre met his attack with several of his own, a wild flurry of strikes with each impact ending an explosion of Light that burned Ichigo's arms, ate away as his shirt and armor.

But there was a price for this wild abandon, and that was the openings it gave to him. A slash here, a thrust there, a poke in the right spot. The Fallen's blood began to mix with the air and Light around him but it only seemed to make him go faster, strike harder, as if he were a berserker of old.

The rain of Light stopped, to his right Rias had managed to entangle the living Light and was crushing it from existence with her power. Above him Sona and Tsubaki now free of the attack were starting to return their power to the fighter at hand. Ichigo for his part met the wild power of the Cadre, ignoring the burn in his arms, ignoring the fact that as his physical strength seemed to increase again more of his hair was turning black.

He did not care and it did not matter, he and Kokabiel smashed into each other like rabid animals and Ichigo began to push him back, the Fallen attempted to stop this with a powerful blow that twisted reality there was so much force behind it. Ichigo dodged the Light, ignored the tearing sensation across his body as he moved though twisted space and brought Zangetsu down. There was a flash of blood in the air as an arm and most of a shoulder along with two wings went spiraling to the ground vanishing into motes of Light before they even reached it.

Kokabiel stumbled back, his breathing ragged and rapid, Sona and Rias descended to box him in each had a hand raised, each was pulsing with power. Both girls looked almost exhausted as the Fallen before them. Ichigo was burned across his face and arms and having exhausted a huge portion of his spiritual power his clothing had started to reflect that.

Then they heard the pounding of hoofs, Ichigo smirked as the cavalry literally arrived. Rias and Sona looked to have a brief moment of panic before Ichigo spoke "Thank you Nel" he got a good look at her out of the corner of his eye. Noting the changes in armor and weapon and the slightly frazzled girl on her back.

"I do expect a reward for my efforts" Nel replied.

Anything I can give" he said back with all seriousness, a contrast to the playful tone Nel had said the words in. "However"

"There is someone who needs to die" Nel finished for him.

"Are we late for the party?" Devils began to fall in around them, fresh, unbloodied and at full strength. Tsubasa, Reya, Inoue, Momo, Ruruka, and Tomoe.

"Dick move Angel man" the knight said in her ever cheerful voice "You almost got a few people with that rain of death."

It looked like a great effort for the Cadre to manifest another spear of Light. His mained hand trembled but it was the only one he had. "Keep it slow" Sona said to all of them through communication "He is still lethal, we are him down, we have the upper hand now."

A magic circle flared in the sky and all eyes shot up, standing upon the circle were hundreds upon hundreds of Fallen. "Oh my" Kokabiel chortled "The rest of my host are a little late it seems. Hundreds of spears began to fall and they all broke away, giving the Cadre a chance to fly up and into the ranks of Fallen Angels.

One might have thought that given his personality they might have tried to kill him in his weakened state. But they were not so lucky, "Scatter and kill" he ordered "They have too many area of effect attacks.

"Shit" Ichigo breathed.

There was nothing left to do, he had trained with them all, they knew they would be facing death...and that was all they could do."By the way" Kokabiel smiled "I made two spears not one."

Their backs had been turned from the spot where they had boxed in the Cadre, a circle flared form it and a single spear of Light shot out. Sona felt a push as Tsubaki rammed into her, shoving her aside.

The Queen made a quiet sound of pure agony, a jagged spear of Light transfixing her chest. The Light was that of a Cadre, a weapon created to kill a Devil completely. By the time the shock could register most of her chest was gone, a heartbeat before it reached her head an orange barrier spasmed around the girl halting the disintegration. Not that such a thing would have mattered to anyone in the world save Inoue Orihime. Tsubaki was dead, she had died of a heartbeat after the spear pierced her heart.

However, a will more powerful than reality itself rejected that, Orihime's face was strained with focus as she fought the Light of Kokabiel. Sona froze, staring at her Queen's body in shock, it was at that moment the host of the Fallen charged, Kokabiel taking the moment to hang back and watch, his expression pained but pleased.

The Fallen came from all sides, spears raised, the hunger for blood and vengeance in their eyes. Ichigo roared, the sound of a hollow's cry pure hate, crimson darkness blazed along Zangetsu his eyes glowing yellow.

Some part of the people around him must have forgotten or perhaps not believed in the power of Inoue to reject even death itself. It was one thing to know it, it was another to Know it. Rage at the very real death, the instant almost random nature of it lit the fires of wrath. His scream awakened that to a roaring flame.

Reya raised a tornado of green power with blue white streaks. It twisted around the group in a protective curtain, and with her other hand she spun blades of wind into existence. Which she shot at any movement approaching them.

Tsubasa hurled herself after the Fallens direction, her body covered in shimmering blue lines.

Tomoe and Momo fell back to defend their King, while Ruruko her face set in a snarl was lashing out at whoever was nearest. The little Pawn was a surprisingly amazing user of Taijutsu. What was more was that the girl was using it to kill as the first two Fallen she faced leaned to their painful sorrow. As she slipped in between them kneeling on in the crotch so hard his pelvis shattered. Slipping aside the wild blow of the second to ram her fist into his neck breaking it with a sickening crunch. And she was not alone, fighting at her side was Issei, full armored, full powered and protecting the Pawns back sending blasts where he could hit more than one target. Green claws tearing onto Fallen as the Light shattered on his armor. Unlike the starter of the battle there was no hesitation to the boy in killing...yet another reason to hate this situation.

Rias turned her part of the battle into a hellscape of ruin, bolts, singularities, lashing tentacles and more than one cero.

Of all of them Nel kept her cool, and Xenovia just fought for the sake of something to do. The Arrancar was a blur slowing the whole of the attack, being everywhere at once in bursts of static. The exorcist on her back struck out with surprising precision for one being thrown about and flashed around the battle.

Ichgio almost threw himself after them all but as spears of Light flew and some made it past the wind. With an effort of will he changed Zangetsu to its bow form, using the it to bat spears out of the air and fire Quincy arrows into the teaming mass of targets.

He could feel something coming from inside Sona, something big. Inoue was still working on rejecting the Fallen's power and once that was done she could reject what had been taken. But Sona did not know that, Sona had never seen it before or in his case been the subject of it before.

At this moment all the girl knew was that her Queen was dead and the one responsible was very close.

Above even more Fallen arrived, hurling themselves into the battle like beings that desired nothing more than battle and death. This was it, this was the full host of Kokabiel Angel of the stars. Handpicked to serve him since the beginning of the world.

Then the battle changed again, it was a flash of white lighting across the battlefield and where it passed Fallen within fifty feet of it simply fell out of the sky as if struck by an impossibly powerful blow. The streak slowed as it left the area of sky where the Fallen were flying and seemed to slide in the air. Ichigo knew who it was before he saw the dark skin, the lithe and very naked body of his teacher Yourichi. Oddly or perhaps not given the circumstances that did not bother him.

White power cloaked her sholders, her gold eyes were focued and detached. There was an explosion of moment, a flash step to the middle of a group of Fallen, a blur of dozens of after images each of which dispatched an enemy in a single strike.

What was more now that he knew they were coming, is that part of his mind had focused on it, he could feel them. His friends, the ones who he had left behind were coming, to him, to his aid.

"Getsuga Tenshou"

"Scream Benihime"

The two attacks were of the direct damaging abilities of Shinigami attacks that could affect and kill those of other supernatural races. His heart soared at his dad and his mentor, Isshin Kurosaki, and Kuskie Urahara arrived. Then above them in the main concentration of foes bolts of Light by the thousands began to bombard the Fallen. They were not killing blows on their own each was too small and weak for instant death but if enough hit you it would do the job but that was not what Ishida was doing. The Quincy was even higher in the air than his foes, his bow unleashing hell below him and letting Yasutora Sado, the mighty Chad, his arms cloaked in red and white crash into the scattered ranks of the enemy.

Suddenly there was no pressure on them save for the small amount around Kokabiel who followed his orders even still. All while that happened, Sona had not broken her stare at Tsubaki's body but she was speaking, no not speaking... casting

"It all Began in the Water.

It all will end in the water.

Therefore, Water is life and death.

The shapely mother and the withered crone.

Everything Flows, not even time itself can escape.

Like a boat at the mercy of a mighty river, all are swallowed in the end.

Oh, the heartless nature of truth.

This truth that I will love deeply."

Around them the battle went on, Ichigo moved so that his body was between Sona and Kokabiel, the Cadre hurled a spear of Light at them which Ichigo promptly shot out of the sky the few other spears from lesser Fallen were blocked by the efforts of Momo and Tomoe and though this all Sona chanted her power building, power that she did not seem to have a moment ago.

"Long has this world forgotten the flood"

Endless waters leveling all creation.

I shall become that flood.

Endless water, never stagnating

Until all that I deem my enemy is swallowed into my maw"

Sona let out a gasp, the world, the air seemed to shake with a roar that was from everywhere and nowhere. Something pulsed in Sona's core, something old and vast stirring from a long sleep.

"Thus do I know the true nature of water for I am Hermes Trismegistus.

Apagorevménos Invocation: Okeanós"

The sky boiled with motion and from the heavens fell water, water beyond measure, beyond counting, enough water to fill a sea hurtling towards the ground like freight train. Sona looked up at that water holding her hands up to the sky. This spell had cost her yet she pulled out even more power, every drop, every reserve, power her body might not have known that it itself had. Ten, twenty, one hundred magic circles of blue light each sucking in the falling water, all of it. Not a single drop waisted. The battle came to a pause as all watched in awe at a sight that even the oldest had never seen.

The water went from the circles in a stream moving like a hundred serpents each twisting around her body covering her, all the water to fill a sea compressed into a few inches around her body. That thin layer roiled within the cage of her will, shaped by her thoughts, coving every part of her in water that took the shape of armor. In her right hand some of that water was turned into the shape of a wand, a simple one two feet long with a watery heart at its end. An unconscious echo of her love for her older sister. Around her right hand a ring of water four feet in diameter spun into existence as the water on her head shifted into a crown. Across her face the water pulled back enough to leave her lips and nose exposed to the air. The armor itself seemed to on the appearance of scales each a different color that water could take.

Sona turned from the body of her Queen, her eyes visibly glowing underneath the water, Ichigo's mark blazing from her abdomen locked eyes with Kokabiel. Ichigo prepared to move to assist what he knew was coming, but as Sona tilted herself forward she unleashed just a hint of the sea she wrapped around her under her feet. Words couldn't describe how much pressure that water was under, how much that armor weighed, she shot forward like a rocket passing Tsubasa as she hacked her way through more of the Fallen.

From her wand small jets of water shot out like the sharpest of blades, from within the circle of water around her right hand, bullets from which there was no defence shot out killing everything with no mercy. Kokabiel only had a second to see her coming and react, trying once more to conjure his Light, but she was too fast for him weakened as he was. His defenders were little more than ants as Sona blasted through them. The circle of water shank to the size of her palm as she rammed it into Kokabiel's chest knocking him back a few feet.

The Fallen gave her a confused look until he glanced at where she had struck him, a small hole had been punched through his chest though not out his back. He looked up with eyes wide in panic as Sona gave a hateful glare and snapped her fingers. The water that had been shrunk to the size of a bean and shoved into the Cadre lost its containment. Water enough to fill several lakes expanded, the Cadre felt one moment of the worst pain he had ever felt and then simply exploded, water blasting out in all directions. Where it would have hit her allies it slid around them, for the enemy, it cut them half, it blew holes in their bodies, rent flesh from bone, pulverised living beings into sludge.

The battlefield when absolutely quite as Sona spoke one single word, the word both an offer and a threat "Run" There was the barest moment of hesitation then the sky rent asunder, and like gods of war new beings arrived to the battle, from the first moment all save Ichigo's allies from Karakura Town could sense who they were. At the head of nearly full Peerage the Maou Satan and Leviathan came howling for war. Sirzech was almost fully consumed by the power of destruction, Serafall her skin blue as if frostbite, the very water in the air freezing to ice around her.

And at last, at long fuking last the enemy broke.

From his sport far away from the battlefield a young man with dark silver hair watched the end, too late to be part of the fun and honestly for once in his life sure he did not want to be part of that fun. Slowly his mind still boggled from what he had seen. He picked up a phone and pressed the number one. "Hey Azazel"

"Yes Vali?"

"You know how you sent me to go save some hopelessly outnumbered cumps"

There was a long pause "Please don't tell me your too late"

"Kind of...I was not in time to take Kokabiel alive"

"...what?"

"Ya...I think I should tell you what the hell I just saw in person see you in a" Vali frowned as he watched a golem carrying away a fat old man run beneath him "One second thought I think I have found as a consolation prize."

There were a great many things that needed to happen, but first at the very least for Inoue Orihime the battle was not over. Ichigo only waited a few moments before retrieving Issei, the boy looked exhausted even though his armor. He, like most of the other Devils, was slowly starting to land in the rubble of their hometown. "Issei" Ichigo knew he sounded just as exhausted "I need your help, please"

"Man" Issei leaned against him "You don't have to ask"

They shared just the barest of fist bumps, before Ichigo led him to Inoue he could sense his friends coming his way but right now this was the most important. Sona herself was making her way back to the body of her Queen. Reya was already at Inoue's side from the direction of the school Akeno and the rest along with a floating unconscious man and unconscious Kiba also made their way over.

He placed Issei's hand on Inoue's back and the boy got the picture "Boost" even the voice of the dragon sounded tired "Boost…. Boost" With every jet of power Inoue became stronger, the last of the Cadre's Light was banished from existence and now the real miracle began.

It was the power of Inoue Orihime, as far as Ichigo knew there were only three things that seemed to limit her power. One she had to know and be close to what she was rejecting even if it might be something as ephemeral as the concept of space. Two the power behind whatever caused an injury if it remained in the wound she was trying to reverse had to be rejected first, and three her power had no effect on the chain of fate as evidenced by what happened with Yuzu when she had been taken to hell. To this day he did not know what had saved Yuzu that time but Inoue's power could not, however beyond those three things she was damn near a goddess. All here bore witness, hell Xenovia looked like it was taking all her effort not to kneel and pray despite her bad experience with religion today.

Death was unmade, reality denied, sacrifice undone, before her power, before her will reality itself bent the knee. Sona let out a sob as Tsubaki blinked again breath returning to her lungs, life to her eyes, the girl set up in shock coughing her hands moving over her chest before her eyes moved to Orihime, they were filled with gratitude and perhaps a little fear. "Welcome back" Inoue sagged and Ichigo caught her as she leaned back.

The Queen looked around her and let out a breath of relief at seeing Sona was fine, now she was still covered in that water and no one seemed to know what she was going to do with it but that seemed rather minor right now. Sona ran over, the water armor sloughing off her body into a small orb that orbited her head. She hugged her Queen tingly and fiercely and started crying into her chest.

Hating himself for not letting her rest yet he moved her over to Kiba who had not woken up, though Asia had stopped the bleeding. Inoue did not even pause as she saw his missing hands, the many blade wounds, with Issei following them still boosting her power it was not long before the Knight's hands and body were restored.

One then could Ichigo gently sit Orihime on the ground and then lay himself out beside her, One by one he was joined by Akeno, Asia, Tsubasa, and Koenko all leaning against him and each other. They hardly stirred as Nel wiggled her way into the group and took a seat. Rias decided that she needed to sit as well, while over with Issei, Momo and Ruruka curled up next to the boy.

Ichigo turned his head at the sound of footsteps, five sets of eyes watched him, Yourichi, Hat and Clogs, his dad, Ishida, and Chad. The expressions ranged from normal with Urahara, shit eating with Yourichi, confused with his dad, that friendly hostility in Ishida's gaze and Chad's salt of the earth stare.

"So have you been busy Ichigo-chan?" Yourichi asked "Been filling up all your harem slots?"

Somehow He found with will to reply to that in a jesting tone "Not all of them, there is room for you if you want it?"

There was a pregnant pause as Yoruichi Shihoin stood there butt naked her mouth open in shock before letting out a belly laugh and turning to Kisuke "I don't think" she choked up "I have ever been more proud of my boy" The shopkeeper burst out laughing,

Just to let you all know, Yourichi is joking and does not know the reality of the situation. Even with Ichigo's teasing she is still under the assumption he could not find love if it snuck into his room and bounced on his chest…..yet.

Ok that battle lasted about seventy pages which is about the longest I have ever written on a single event. I tried out a few new things in this chapter, and at least I really like how I was about to do Vasco using a fighting style. My inspiration for it came from demon slayer which I highly Recommend. It helped me keep things moving in my head and I think I will use it more if I can.

The idea behind this battle was time, Ichigo put the battle on a timer when he sent out the distress flare, and when they got people outside of the barrier letting them send spells of communication. The moment the people from Karakura Town arrived the battle was really over, the fallen only noticed it when the Maou arrived to make that really clear.

I hope everyone is not disappointed that Ichigo was not the one to kill the fallen, though without him there Kokabiel as I have written him would have killed every single devil there. Excalibur was just that powerful at least to me. But Sona gave him a horrific death at least the poor guy, Inoue also got to tell death to go fuck itself...wonder how Hadas and Thanatos are going to take that.

Anyway enough with my rambling, I hope you all enjoyed it and now I will move on to….

Keeping the cannon elements of characters from DxD and giving them an explanation that makes sense but also doesn't make them complete monsters is a refreshing change of pace. I can see and understand why people hate Riser, as an example, as I hate him as well. However having his behavior explained as a, terribly conceived, psychological tactic against Rias is better than just making him rapist number two that holds all of his peerage against their will and who's family just turns a blind eye because he can't be that bad. Diodora is already, in cannon, an absolute fucking monster and we don't really need a parade of people like him.

I do wish Ichigo wouldn't have so many girls, I think he's at ten counting Rukia at the moment.

I agree, I like being able to give people motivations that at least make sense to me, this is not to say that there will not be a few absolute monsters. We have already seen one with Lucifer when he lacked his grace, and well there is just not all that much you can do with Diodara but sometimes its nice to have a good old fashioned hate sink. I might argue with you about the terribly conceived part of his tatic, however that is just a fun discussion and not at all a big deal.

Also glad that I could help you feel better and sorry about the stuff you are going though, the worst I have had to deal with is being scammed out of a few thousand dollars because I was an idiot. Anyway hope you feel better, as to your thoughts on the Harem they are perfectly valid and it is harder when I add more but I am following my vision for this story and in the end this is Fanfiction and we are all here to have fun.

Holy crap. So, in this chapter Ichigo:

1. Annihilated an invading army more or less by himself

2. Sent Soul Society into a state of panic

3. Flattened people as far away as freaking China and Korea from the force from the force of his Spiritual Pressure alone.

4. Dude has multiple forms to his Bankai now (did that show up already?)

5. He is casting Kido USING Bankai for a 90's level AOE Bakudo.

SHIT. JUST. GOT. REAL. REAL FAST!

He did have a lot of help with that, so I cant really say he did that by himself.

Yes he very much did.

Not flattened at least outside of about a hundred miles, but they could sure as hell sense him.

It did, in his fight with Sona's dad.

Yes he is, higher level kido require more power and that is the thing he has in spades.

Yeah, anywho, great stuff the last 2-3 chapters, just got time to start reading my backlog of stories last week, and wowzers, really showing your epic battle flair, aren't cha? But yeah, still loving the interaction between Aizen and Ichigo, and waiting for Ichigo to drop the bomb that he has not only been speaking with Aizen, but learning from him. He, just imagine the faces-

Doing a pretty good job with the interplay between the White God and Ichigo, got a pretty good idea of what he wants Ichigo for now, other than beating Trihexa's ass like it's going out of style.

Yesss speculate, theorize it feeds my soul (Insert snake laugh)

Given how the comments have been really good at finding my plot points before they show up I wonder how close you theory is? Anyway glad you enjoyed.

Man... I love your fic, I really really do... But when I read Ichigo's chant I just can't, I have to stop reading for a few minutes and do another thing, specifically because of these passages: "I'm am the guardian seeking domination and supremacy of the self" and "And take those I love into a shining future" Man! are they cringy as fuck, the first one feels too forced, like I know is supposed to be a direct opposition to the celestial dragon's chants, but still it just doesn't sound right so a soft opposite may work better, and the second one is just so damm cheesy I can't hide a grimace every time I read it, and I hate it because the rest of the chant is totally badass

PS: To be fair, is not like I think is easy to come up with these things. Spent a few minutes to see if I could come up with something better but I couldn't, like how exactly you come with an opposite of "domination" that is empowering and sounds good? I couldn't, at least no in a few minutes, as for "supremacy of the self" the best I could think of was "pinacle of temperance"... so yeah

Eh well, I get what you are saying and there are countless better ways I could have put it, but I could not think of any. I at least got the themes I wanted across (That being the White God booping the Twin heavenly drags on the snoot) and that Pinnacle of Temperance thing is really good so don't sell yourself short.

Darklink1011

huh...not sure if it was tried but why not use a physical means of communication like a phone call to contact another devil territory to get a hold of a Maou for them?

sorry just a random thought.

A Perfectly valid question, my answer is that I assume that physical communion that can cross dimensions has to partaly work on magic and anyway, though none of them tired it, the Spacial look works on things like sound, electronics, radio waves, the Idea I had behind it was like a supernatural faraday cage.

Ahh I loved this. I like how Michael is way more op than in canon as fitting for the heir to heaven.

This was very close to my thought process when I brought him into the story, he is Michael the Prince of heaven the one who Cast Lucifer out. So I made him a sort of Yang to Sirzechs Yin.

Comment Of the Week

Another great chapter you put up! Keep up the great work! The amount of love you put into this fic can be felt! I have to say so far each time you have done the bankai I have continuously had goosebumps appear on my arms, you really know how to set the mood, ntm the reactions to his power was glorious ! Keep up the amazing work!

While I try to keep pure praise to a minimum in this section, this comment spoke about something important. I do love what I do, this project that is no longer than the fellowship of the ring and Two towers combined. Is what I have fun with, I love and enjoy what I do and I hope that comes though even with all my mistakes of which there are many. And i am happy to have you all as readers no matter your opinion and I at least hope I can keep up the quality (Except when it comes to spelling….I really am just hopeless at it though I have been told I have gotten a bit better since I started.)
