Neal hurried downstairs, holding the golden egg in his hands, just as the maid threw David outside. She turned and saw Neal.
"Put that back!" she yelled. His heart racing, Neal jumped down the stairs, slid across the floor, through the maid's legs and outside.
"Let's go!" he shouted to David, who nodded. Father and son ran away from the Mills residence as the maid watched them, glaring furiously.

Zelena left hospital with Emma, Mary Margaret and the old man who she now knew was Mary Margaret's father.
"Why are you here?" Emma wanted to know.
"I came for you," Zelena replied. "I came to take you back home."
Emma shook her head, tears forming in her eyes. "I am home."
"Zelena," Mary Margaret said softly. "You did me a huge favor by taking Emma with you. David was in a coma and I couldn't cope with that, so I turned to alcohol. But David's awake, and I haven't touched a drop in years. I'm ready to be Emma's mom now."
"But... but..." Zelena tried to come up with an argument, but couldn't.
"You've been a great mother to her, and I wouldn't be surprised if Emma wanted to go home with you," Mary Margaret continued, "but I think we should let her decide."
Zelena and Mary Margaret both looked to Emma, who now had tears running down her face.
"This is really what you want?" Zelena asked.
"Yeah," Emma said, as they saw David and Neal running over to them, holding a golden egg.
"David?" Mary Margaret said in surprise. "What's that... thing you've got there?"
"Dr Sheffield told me to get it," David said. "He said you wanted it for some reason."
Mary Margaret shook her head. "No, David. Dr Sheffield has been arrested by the police. We called them after escaping from him. He's a madman. I have no idea why he wanted-"
"My wealth," Leopold said, speaking up for the first time since their escape. "Open it."
David did so, twisting the top off. Inside the golden egg was a thumbdrive.
"Dad, what is that?" Mary Margaret asked.
"On that USB is a list of my hidden bank accounts that contains my wealth," replied Leopold. "I gave that to Cora Mills years ago after she blackmailed me."
"Blackmailed you?" David said.
"You see," Leopold murmured, "I got her pregnant. That's why I gave her everything. How do you think the Mills family got so rich?"
Zelena froze. "You got Cora... pregnant?"
"Yes, Zelena. I know all about you. I'm your father."
Mary Margaret's eyes widened, and she looked at Zelena. "Wait, you... oh my God."
"I'm doing what I should have done a long time ago," Leopold said. "I'm giving this wealth to you, Mary Margaret. You as well, Zelena. I've been stuck in that asylum for a long time. I'm an old man, Mary Margaret. I don't have much time left."
Zelena looked at Leopold. Her father. "Come with me to Boston. We have a lot of catching up to do."
For the first time, Leopold smiled. "I'd love to."
Zelena and Emma looked at each other, then hugged.
"I'll miss you. If you change your mind, you're always welcome back."
"Thank you," said Emma. "For raising me. For everything. You might not be my real mom, but I'll never see you as second best."

After a tearful goodbye, Zelena and her newly-discovered dad got into her car and left Storybrooke.

It felt strange, being heartbroken... but also happy.
