~Hero Training Camp 5:30AM~

The morning sun began to rise over the horizon, and the only ones to seem fully awake were Scythe, Ruby, Todoroki, Bakugo, Jack, and Weiss, while everyone else just looked like they had pulled an all-nighter watching a movie marathon. Yang was also wide awake standing next to Aizawa.

"Good morning class." Aizawa said. "Today we begin the training camp that will increase your strength. Our goal is to increase your skills exponentially so that each of you earns a provisional license, this will allow you to face the dangers that fester in the darkness. Proceed carefully. Look alive Bakugo." Aizawa exclaimed tossing him a softball. "Try throwing that for me."

"Yeah sure, like in the fitness test." Bakugo said.

"That's right, when you first started school, your record was 705.2 meters. Let's see if you've improved any sparky." Yang stated.

"Don't call me that." Bakugo sighed.

"You're dating my sister, I'll call you anything I want." Yang retorted.

Bakugo sighed as he went to stand in place to throw the ball.

"Oh I get it, we're checking our progress." Ashido said.

"A lot's happened to us in the last three months, maybe he can throw it a whole mile now." Sero said as Bakugo stretched his arms.

"C'mon get it Bakugo." Kirishima shouted.

"I've got this." Bakugo smirked. "No one blink. GO TO HELL." Bakugo shouted, sending the ball up in the air with an explosion as he threw it.

"That was 709.6 meters." Aizawa said, after Bakugo got his foot back from throwing the ball.

"You only increased your distance by 4.04 meters. Not a big improvement if you ask me." Yang said.

"That's it? Kinda disappointing." Sero said.

"You've had a single semester at U.A, and due to your various experiences, all of you have improved." Aizawa said.

"But those improvements have mostly been limited to mental prowess and technical skill." Yang added. "With a slight increase in your stamina thrown in along the way."

"As you can see your Quirks have not improved much on a fundamental level." Aizawa said, gaining a grin that sent chills up everyone's spines.

"This'll be so hard that you'll feel like you're dying." Yang smiled. "Let's hope you all survive."

~In front of the Main Hall a half hour later~

Class 1-B were all standing in front of their teacher, Ghira Belladonna. He didn't seem tired at all, and was already prepared to push his students to their limits. One of them being new to the class, being Izuku Midoriya.

"We're focusing on our Quirks?" Kendo asked, keeping on of her classmates from falling over to go back to sleep.

"Class-A's already training. You all need to catch up." Ghira said.

"Uh, Mr. Belladonna you're not gonna make this a rivalry thing between our two classes are you?" Pyrrha asked as they followed him to the training grounds.

"Of course not Ms. Nikos. I just want my class to do their best, and become the best they can be." Ghira said.

'He's got such faith in us as his students.' Tetsutetsu thought clenching his fists.

"I get you want everyone to improve their Quirks. But we have twenty one unique powers in our class, what kind of training will help all of us get better?" Tokage asked.

"Yeah, can you be more specific?" Kamakiri asked.

"When your muscle fibers are overused, they grow back tougher, thicker. Quirks work in the same way, the harder you push them, and go past your limits, the stronger they become when you're recovering from a battle or workout." Ghira explained. "In other words, your training is simple, yet intense, and you'll have to break yourselves."

"This looks more than a little intense." Pyrrha said.

Bakugo was dipping his hands into boiling water, and setting off chain explosions. Todoroki was sitting in a barrel of water, and alternating between creating ice and fire to keep the temperature regulated. Sero was continuously producing tape, without rest, and looked like he was in major pain.

Kirishima and Ojiro were battling it out with each other, with Ojiro using his tail to hit Kirishima's hardened stone like skin. Kaminari was up on a hilltop running electricity through a high powered battery, and from the looks of things, his brain was fried long before they got there. Koda was on a separate hilltop screaming out in different pitches, most likely a voice training exercise, and probably to help him get over his shyness.

Aoyama was setting off multiple navel lasers, and was making some weird, disturbing, noises each time he set one off, thankfully, he was close to an outhouse whenever he felt he'd need it. Tokoyami wasn't anywhere to be seen, but he was in a real dark and deep cave, as his voice could be heard from inside it. Uraraka was trapped inside what was basically a giant hamster ball, rolling down the hill while also being completely weightless inside it, but was looking more than a little sick.

Iida was just doing hard core distance running, which most likely targeted his strength and stamina factors. Tsu, was climbing a rock wall, with her tongue wrapped around the top, as she was climbing to it. Sato was down by a van filled with sweets, munching on slices of cake, while also lifting a dumbbell as his Quirk was active.

Yaoyorozu was at the same table as Sato, munching on chocolates, and producing Russian Nesting Dolls, that looked like her in her hero costume. Jiro was over by a rock wall jamming her jacks into it, obviously as a workout to hone the quality of her hearing. Ashido was at the same wall, pouring out acid from her hands non-stop, and it looked like she had a pained face that increased as she kept going.

Mineta was just on the ground, covered in bandages, while pulling multiple grape balls off his head, while it sounded like he was crying, though it was obvious to see why, as his scalp was bleeding. Hagakure and Shoji were working together, as Shoji was creating multiple limbs with eyes, and mouths, while it wasn't obvious Hagakure was there, it became clear that she was working on her stealth when an empty chip bag flew in on the wind and landed on her chest.

Ruby and Weiss were working on their combat skills while also using their Quirks to power them up, having Yang as an opponent, was really keeping them on their toes.

As for the final member of Class 1-A, she wasn't anywhere to be seen.

"Oh man, this is pretty intense." Rin said.

"Operative types will be raising your limits, maxing out your power. An' the rest, you'll mostly be working out body parts and strengthening muscles, related to your Quirks. Now normally these changes happen gradually as you grow." Ghira said.

"But we don't have time for that." Aizawa said making himself known. "Your class has a lot of work to do."

"Once we team up with Class-A, there'll be over forty students here." Kendo said. "That's a whole lot of Quirks for our homeroom teachers to manage on their own."

"Which is why we called them." Aizawa said.

"That's correct." A happy voice said, appearing out of nowhere, as a woman with green hair, and wearing a yellow Wild-Wild-Pussycats suit, jumped in front of them with pink paint around her right eye. Breast Size: E-Cup. "Four kittens in one litter."

"Your feline fantasies are here." Mandalay said.

"Allow us to lend a happy paw." The green haired girl said.

"We're champions serving up justice. With our tails." A guy said, wearing a brown Wild-Wild-Pussycats costume, dress and all, with a blue aura surrounding him.

"Purrfectly cute and catlike heroes." Pixie-Bob said.

"We're the Wild-Wild-Pussycats." They all said in unison. "Full version."

"I'm Ragdoll, and my Quirk is Search. I can look at up to a hundred people and know everything about them. Like their location and weakness." The yellow suited Pussycat said.

"With my earthflow, I can create the ideal training ground for every student." Pixie-Bob exclaimed.

"An' my Quirk is called Telepath. I can give advice to multiple people at once." Mandalay said.

"The name's Tiger, and I'm here to beat you guys to a pulp." The guy said.

"I have questions about him."

"What he means is, he's gonna push you past your limits, and help you to do it the best way possible, even if he workout can be painful." Ghira explained.

"All you kids with Strength Quirks, time for Tiger's Bootcamp." Tiger said, pointing at them. "Class-A's already sweating, so catch up quick. Though you'll be doing something different compared to what I have my first student doing."

"An' what pray-tell is it you have my granddaughter doing, Tiger?" Ghira asked.

"Take a look over there and you'll see." Tiger said, pointing with his thumb.

Off in the distance, but still visible, Scythe, in her Argonaut form, was slowly, and steadily marching up a hillside, with chains crisscrossed over her chest, and dragging behind her was a monster truck tire, with a giant boulder sitting in the middle of it, and Jack sitting on top of the boulder cheering her on, as she was training her body to handle more of her inherited power from her grandfather.

"There's a lot going on at U.A, so it's hard for us to spare much staff for the Hero Course First Years." Ghira explained.

"Based on their experience, and range of powers, these four were the most logical choice to help you enhance your Quirks in such a short amount of time." Aizawa said.

"Then, what's Yang doing here?" Pyrrha asked.

"We invited her on as an instructor here at the camp, so we could have an extra hand in maintaining and training all forty-three of you." Pixie-Bob explained.

"Kali is helping out in the kitchen." Ghira explained. "Alright class, get going and do your best."

"Yessir." The entire class said.

~Evening around Dinnertime~

"Now remember what I said the other night? We're not serving your food anymore." Pixie-Bob said.

"If you guys wanna eat, you gotta make your own meals. Starting with curry." Ragdoll said, waving one of her hands about.

"I got this." Scythe said cracking her arms as she was still in her Argonaut form. "Everyone else just sit back, and take it easy, I'll have dinner cooked as fast as possible."

In a flash of black lightning, all ingredients for curry were in the kitchen area, and Scythe began chopping up vegetables, and cooking the curry.

"Scythe can cook?" Kirishima asked.

"Oh yeah, long before she was turned into a girl, Scythe would help Kali, or Yang with cooking in the kitchen." Ruby explained as they all sat down at the tables.

"How good is it?" Iida asked.

"Well, she's a pretty decent chef outside her Argonaut form." Ruby said, Bakugo sitting to her right, and Jack sitting between them. "But if she's cooking in her Argonaut form, well… I don't know actually, she's never cooked while in her Argonaut form."

"I'm sure it'll be good." Bakugo said.

"You've been a lot more laxed since you found out you're Jack's father." Kirishima pointed out.

"He's been really trying to set a good example for Jack to follow." Weiss smiled. "I'm honestly quite impressed."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Bakugo asked.

"It just means, that you've made some improvement from being the jerk who's screaming at everyone, to being less obnoxious." Ruby said.

~Later~

"Alright everyone, dinner is served." Scythe said, using her lightning magic to serve all the food.

"Wow this looks so good." Kirishima smiled.

"Well, don't just sit there starring at it, dig in." Scythe said. "I made plenty for everyone to have seconds, thirds even."

At that point, everyone began digging into the food Scythe made, and they were amazed at the taste.

"So good." They all said.

"This tastes like it came from a Five Star Restaurant." Kirishima said as they were scarfing it down.

Scythe looked around, looking for Kota, while ignoring the conversations going on around her, but couldn't find him. So after eating her fill, and filling up a plate, Scythe went to track Kota by his scent, and followed it, all the way up a steep mountain pass. It took nearly ten minutes to follow the scent to the mountain hideout Kota had, and another five to climb it. Eventually she found him sitting at the ledge of the mountain Cliffside. The sound of a rumbling stomach could be heard from where he sat, looking at the night sky.

"I heard that, you must be hungry." Scythe asked taking him by surprise. "You were about to miss out on dinner. The curry is real good."

"What are you doing here? How did you find this place?" Kota asked turning to her and getting on his feet.

"It wasn't hard to find, I just followed your scent." Scythe explained coming up to him.

"Leave, I don't wanna hang around someone who wants to be a hero." Kota exclaimed turning away from her. "Spending your entire life trying to improve your Quirk, it's dumb. You're just trying to show off, get lost."

"Kota, I know you hate heroes. Given that your parents were the Waterhose Heroes, and were killed in action." Scythe exclaimed.

"Did Mandalay tell you?" Kota shouted turning back to her in an instant.

"No actually, I did some independent research on some villains who the League of Villains might want to join their ranks, and the villain who killed your parents was one of them." Scythe said standing in front of Kota.

"Why do you care?" Kota asked before Scythe shoved the plate in his arms.

"I care because that's who I am. I'm not gonna go on some ramble about how a hero is supposed to care, you won't listen to that, but I care because I know what it's like, to wants someone back from your family who is gone." Scythe said.

"An' how would you know?" Kota asked.

"My little sister." Scythe said simply. "She was kidnapped by a villain, and she is still missing."

"So, don't you hate society for it then? Quirks are nothing but a plague in our world." Kota said, taking a bite of curry. 'I won't say this out loud, but this is delicious.'

"You are quite the tsundere child aren't you?" Scythe chuckled. "To be honest, I was starting to think that way, as I was putting myself through training that was not only building my strength, but was also destroying my body as well." Scythe sighed, taking a seat on the Cliffside. "That's why I jumped off the cliff yesterday, instead of waiting to get swept away like everyone else in my class. I wanted to get stronger, even if it killed me."

"What changed your mind?" Kota asked.

"Pixie-Bob." Scythe smiled. "She reminded me that there's only so much I can do as a human being, that even though it's frustrating to not have control over everything, it's how life is, and that if I want to help Eri, I need to take better care of myself as well. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to help anyone, let alone her."

"But, our society is messed up, the villain who killed my parents is still out there." Kota said.

"I know, and I know it's not fair that your parents were taken from you." Scythe said, bringing Kota in for a gently hug. "But it's okay, you still have Mandalay and the others here to support you. You don't have to view her or the rest of the Pussycat's as heroes, in order to view them as family. You're pushing them away, because you feel if you get close to them, you're gonna feel that heartache all over again if something happens to them. An' that might be the case, but it might also not, you'll never know, unless you give it a shot."

Scythe removed her arms from the hug, and grabbed the empty plate and dishes.

"Take this to heart Kota; life might seem unfair, but it's our hardships that make us, who we want to be, and who we are." Scythe smiled. "Trust me on this, I have quite the experience with hardships."

After that, Scythe began descending the mountainside, and whether it was the wind or not, she caught the faint sound of crying coming from the mountain peak she just left.

"I think I might have gotten through to him." She smiled softly.

~The next day~

It was another day of brutal training, most of the students were doing workouts that targeted their muscles and would help with amplifying their Quirks. The remedial group were dead tired, from their extra-curricular studies last night, and Aizawa had to keep getting them to do their training as they just kept falling asleep.

"Hey remedial group, keep at it." Aizawa said, looping his scarf around Kirishima's forehead and pulling it back.

"Y-yes sir." Kirishima exclaimed.

"I'm sorry, but I need more beauty rest." Ashido exclaimed.

"Who knew yesterday's extra lessons…" Kaminari began.

"Would go on until two in the morning." Sero added.

"An' start back up at seven." Sato finished.

"I told you it'd be tough." Aizawa said. "Remember, you're not just improving your Quirks, you're also working to overcome the many weaknesses I saw in the finals. Think carefully about why you're more tired than the others before you start whining. You have much to improve here."

"Right. Yes sir." They all said in unison.

"Uraraka, Aoyama, the same goes for you. Your team didn't fail, but you were very close, I'd say you passed the proverbial finish line by a hair." Aizawa stated.

"That bad?" Uraraka asked.

"Don't lose focus, each of you can move faster. An' no matter what you're doing, just remember where you started from. Don't forget who you were, before U.A." Aizawa said. "Always keep in mind why you're sweating, and why your limits keep getting tested. That's what it means to improve."

Overlooking the field, Aizawa saw that Bakugo was still doing the same routine as yesterday, Scythe, Midoriya, Ruby, and a couple other students from Class-B were doing physical fitness training, and Todoroki was like Bakugo, doing the same routine as the day before. Jack was clinging to Scythe's back like a baby and mama koala duo.

"Hey that reminds me, Mr. Aizawa." Ruby said running up to the ledge her teacher stood on. "It's already the third day of camp."

"Weren't you listening stay, focused." Aizawa said jumping off the ledge.

"I was just wondering if All Might, I mean, the other Teacher's from U.A will be joining us?" Ruby asked.

"Like I said before we came out here. To keep the camp a secret from the villains, hardly anyone knows where we are." Aizawa said.

"That's why you get to work out with us four Pussycats." Ragdoll cried out from the top of the ledge.

"An' think about it. We believe your father is one of the League's targets, so we can't have him here." Aizawa explained. "It's for your own safety. For better or for worse, that's what he gets for standing out so much."

"Meow-meow-meow-meow. More importantly, tonight's gonna be fun." Pixie-Bob said doing the meow-chuckle again. "We're pitting classes against each other in a test of courage. I know you've been training hard today, and later you'll get to play hard. How's that for a reward?"

"It just sounds like more training." Kendo said.

"An' training in the dark no less." Jiro added.

"Revelry in the dark." Tokoyami said, before heading into the cave where he would be training with controlling Dark Shadow.

"How much can we do in one day?" Rin asked.

"At least we get to have some fun tonight, am I right?" Pyrrha asked.

"Don't slack now. Make sure you keep on pushing yourself as you work." Pixie-Bob said.

"Yes Ma'am." They all said.

"Remember, where I came from." Ruby said.

"Hey." Tiger said, causing her to freeze a bit. "You're not Plus Ultra yet."

"Right." Ruby said going back to the training.

~That evening around dinner~

This time, everyone was helping out with cooking, as Scythe explicitly explained, she was not gonna be everyone's personal chef the entire time they were camping. At the moment, Bakugo was cutting up carrots.

"Whoa, Bakugo you're really good with that knife, it's weird." Uraraka said.

"What do you mean it's weird? How can you people be so damn bad at everything?" Bakugo questioned.

"Look at that, he's not blowing stuff up." Kaminari said.

"I'm too tired for this." Kirishima said.

Over by the stoves, Ruby and Todoroki were working on setting up the fire, and boiling the water.

"Did you need All Might for a particular reason?" Todoroki asked Ruby.

"Oh well, not exactly. I just wanted to know if he was coming, because I wanted to ask him for some help. Scythe has lightened up on her self-destructive training, but she still seems like she's in a bit of a mood about not being able to go after Eri. I was just hoping that maybe spending some time with All Might, could help her through the funk, you know?"

"Ah, well I know what you mean. She's been cold and distant to even me and Weiss since we all got back from I-Island." Todoroki said. "Even mom's gotten the cold shoulder from her."

"But still, she has opened up a bit, since our first night here. Even made dinner for everyone last night." Weiss added. "I think right now, we should just let her be, and not push her on the matter. She might be a teen in her Argonaut form, but remember she's still just a kid."

"I guess you're right." Ruby sighed. "Besides, I think she's on her own mission."

"What do you mean?" Todoroki asked.

"She's trying to help Kota."

"Kota?" Todoroki inquired.

"Isn't he Mandalay's second cousin?" Weiss inquired.

"I noticed Scythe leaving the dinner yesterday with a full plate of curry, and I thought it weird so I tailed her, making sure to stay hidden as to not let her know I was following. Even hid my scent with berries. But I saw her talking with Kota. He doesn't like heroes, in fact he hates the whole concept of a superhuman society. But I think Scythe managed to get through to him. He wasn't always yelling at her, and he even allowed her to hug him, before she left. She even got him to let out all his pain and cry, since it seemed like he needed it."

"Scythe does have a way with words." Weiss smiled.

"You guys, your hands aren't moving." Iida said as he went over to where the potatoes and carrots were being peeled. "We'll never make the best stew if we stop now."

~That Night Activity Time~

"Perfect, we filled out bellies and cleaned the dishes. It's time for…" Pixie-Bob called out.

"A totally awesome test of courage." Ashido cheered.

"We're gonna win." Sato, Kirishima, Sero, and Kaminari cheered.

"Not so fast." Aizawa said gaining their attention. "It pains me to say it, but the remedial class will be having lessons with me tonight instead."

"You gotta be kidding me." Ashido cried out.

"Sorry, your training during the day didn't impress me, so I'll be using this time to." Aizawa stated.

"Oh give me a break." Sero and Kaminari cried out.

"I just wanna prove my courage." Kirishima and Sato exclaimed as they were all dragged away.

"Okay so Class-B is gonna be our spooks and Spector's. Once they're in place, Class-A is gonna leave in pairs every three minutes, there are tags with your names on them at the far end of the route, your goal is to collect those." Pixie-Bob explained.

"Revelry in the dark." Tokoyami said.

'Why's he keep saying that?' Uraraka questioned.

"Now due to the uneven amount of people participating thanks to Aizawa taking five students away, Scythe is gonna be with Ragdoll at the tag table at the far end of the route." Pixie-Bob said. "Those who are meant to scare you aren't allowed to make physical contact with the others. Use your Quirks to terrify the others, got it?"

"The winners are, the creative students who make the most people piss their pants." Tiger said.

"Did we need that visual?" Jiro questioned.

"Due to how young little Jack is, we're gonna have her team up with a two person team if she wants to participate. She's not part of the class, so it's not mandatory." Mandalay said.

"Alright, everyone draw to see who your partner will be." Pixie-Bob said, as Ragdoll and Scythe went down the trail to where they were stationed at the table.

"Alright, so the teams are as listed in this order." Yang began to announce. "Shoji and Tokoyami, Bakugo and Todoroki, Jiro and Hagakure, Yaoyorozu and Aoyama, Uraraka and Tsu, Ojiro and Mineta, Koda and Iida, and finally Ruby and Weiss."

"Wow, guess we're teammates in both Team RWBY and U.A." Ruby smiled, playfully elbowing Weiss.

"We were randomly assigned, how did this happen?" Weiss asked.

"Revelry in the dark." Tokoyami said.

~12 Minutes Later~

"Next team, that's you three kittens, Ribbity, Ms. Floater, and little Jackie." Pixie-Bob said as Uraraka, Tsu, and Jack were up next.

The three began walking along for a few minutes, as screams kept echoing through the air.

"I'm getting scared Tsu." Uraraka said. "An' those screams aren't helping."

"That's Kyoka and Tohru I think. How are you doing Jack?" Tsu asked.

"I'm fine."

"Of course this wouldn't scare you." Uraraka smiled. "You fearlessly scaled the outside of a two hundred floor building starting from the eightieth floor on I-Island after all."

"Here, if you're scarred Ochaco, take my hand. Don't be afraid, we'll look out for each other." Tsu said. "One step at a time."

"I'll take both you're hands. We'll all look out for one another." Jack said, taking them.

"That is just adorable." Tsu smiled.

~Back to main party~

"What's this foul smell in the air?" Pixie-Bob asked.

"You see that?" Yang asked pointing to the sky over deeper in the forest area.

"Black smoke." Mandalay said.

"Has something been set ablaze?" Iida asked.

"Maybe a fire on the mountain?" Ojiro questioned.

"MOM."

Yang turned to see Scythe rushing out of the forest, in her Argonaut form, with Ragdoll on her back.

"The League of Villains are here. We were just attacked by a Nomu Grimm." Scythe cried out. "Ragdoll got hit. She's unconscious, but she should be fine. I already used my healing on her."

"Hey, what's happening?" Pixie-Bob questioned as her body began to glow with a pink Aura.

Scythe dropped Ragdoll to the ground, and with using lightning slayer magic, pushed Pixie-Bob out of the way of the magnetic pull, and took her place in it, before she covered her body in metal and held her arms up, blocking an impactful strike from a large wrapped metal beam, wielded by a tall man, with ginger brown hair, wearing sunglasses, a white t-shirt, an orange dress shirt, blue jeans, and his lips were freakishly big on him.

"SCYTHE." Yang cried out.

"First, let's get rid of these feral cats." The man said.

Standing beside him, was a knockoff Stain, looking like a big, humanoid iguana, with purple hair, and two large objects over his back.

"No way." Mineta said. "I thought they made sure no one could find us. So why the hell are there villains attacking this place?"

"Scythe." Ruby cried out running for her niece, only to be stopped by Tiger and Mandalay.

"This is bad." Mandalay said.

"Get. The Hell. OFF ME." Scythe cried out, raising her legs to wrap them around the metal beam, before pushing back with her arms and moving her head to the side as she moved her arms out of the way, allowing the metal contraption to slam into the ground beside her head, knocking the shades wearing villain off balance long enough for Scythe to flip around on the weapon, performing a perfect handstand, and spin kicking him in the face, knocking him into the iguana. Her face was filled with anger, before it became filled with fear as a thought came to her mind, filling her with concern.

"Where's Kota?" Scythe questioned.
