Opening up on one of the helipads of Boxford Corporation, a rematch between Spencer and Commander Leon was about to begin...

"DUEL!" Both Spencer and Commander Leon both announced at the same time (LP: 4000) x2.

Okay, scratch that. The rematch has already commenced.

"The first turn is mine!" declared Commander Leon, drawing a card. "It's my turn, draw!"

Turn One: Commander Leon (LP: 4000)
Deck: 54
Current Hand (6): "Consteller Kaus", "Present Card", "Constellar Algiedi", "Constellar Star Chart", "Constellar Aldebaran", and "Ritual Sealing"

Adding the card into his hand, the former pirate second-in-command took another card out and placed it onto a Monster Field slot on his Duel Disk.

"I Summon 'Constellar Algiedi' in attack mode!"

Appearing onto the field was a monster decked out in silverish armor and blue cape with a scepter (Level: 4/ATK: 1600/DEF: 1400).

"Well, that's new." grumbled Spencer.

"And now, I'll activate the effect of my monster!" continued Commander Leon, taking a card from his hand. "When 'Constellar Algiedi' is Normal Summoned, I can Special Summon one Level 4 'Constellar' Monster from my hand." He placed the card onto his Duel Disk. "I Special Summon 'Constellar Kaus'!"

Appearing onto the field was now an archer with the same type of star-based armor (Level: 4/ATK: 1800/DEF: 1700).

"Now, from my hand, I'll activate a Continuous Spell!" As Commander Leon spoke, he slotted another card into his Duel Disk. As expected, a Spell Card called 'Constellar Star Chart' materialized face-up on the field. "'Constellar Star Chart'!"

"What?!" gasped Spencer.

"Once per turn, when a 'Constellar' Xyz Monster(s) is Special Summoned to my side of the field, except during the Damage Step, I can draw an extra card."

"An Xyz Monster?!" The silver-haired young man demanded.

"That's right." smirked Commander Leon. "I now run an Xyz Monster-based Deck. My two friends also wield new power in the form of Fusion and Synchro. Unfortunately, it was not enough to stop our enemies. Now, as for me, I 'will' succeed where they failed." He then pointed forth. "The Monster Effect of 'Constellar Kaus'! Up to twice per turn, I can target one 'Constellar' Monster on the field, and then activate one of these effects; Increase its Level by one, or reduce its Level by one. And guess what? I'll use the effect twice this turn, and increase the Level of both monsters by one a-piece."

'Constellar Kaus' (Level: 4 - 5) and 'Constellar Algiedi' (Level: 4 - 5) both had their Levels increased respectively.

"Both monsters are at Level 5!" realized Spencer. "Could he be trying-?"

"And now, I'll overlay the Level 5 'Constellar Kaus' and 'Constellar Algiedi'!" declared Commander Leon. "With these two LIGHT monsters, I build the Overlay Network!"

The two monsters turned into balls of light and flew into the forming Overlay Network in the center of the duel field. Commander Leon, meanwhile, began a Summon Chant for his new monster's appearance...

"Light of the stars, descend and shake this very Earth!" chanted Commander Leon, thrusting his right hand form. "Xyz Summon! Rank 5 - 'Constellar Pleiades'!"

Appearing onto the field, when the Xyz Summon sequence ended, was a large warrior in the same star based armor as his comrades (Rank: 5/ATK: 2500/DEF: 1500).

"An Attack Power of 2500?!" recoiled Mr. Gresley (Boxford). "And it was Summoned on the first turn, too!"

"Spencer..." whispered Mrs. Gresley (Boxford).

Back in the duel field...

"You remember 'Constellar Star Chart', right?" taunted Commander Leon, drawing a card. "As I've Special Summoned a 'Constellar' Xyz Monster, I draw one card."

He saw that his drawn card was a Spell Card called 'Instant Overlay'. Adding the card into his hand, the former pirate second-in-command took and slotted another card into his Duel Disk.

"Now, I'll set a reverse card and end my turn." he concluded, just as a facedown card materialized on the field. "Now, Spencer, let's see if you've gotten any stronger - if you actually have."

"Very well... I promise you that this duel will be over sooner than you think it will." said Spencer, drawing a card. "Draw!"

Commander Leon truly hoped that would be the case; where he would crush his opponent so badly that he and his family would have no other choice but to leave and never return. Even then, Spencer was determined to win, and so would make sure he lived up to it.

Title: Judgement of the Stars

And so, after a moment of silence, Spencer's turn finally commenced...

"Draw!" announced Spencer, drawing a card.

Turn Two: Spencer Gresley (LP: 4000)
Deck: 54
Current Hand (6): "Soul Absorption", "Kaiser Sea Horse", "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", "Unexpected Dai", "Kaibaman", and "Negate Attack"

His initial hand contained 'Soul Absorption', 'Kaiser Sea Horse', 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon', 'Unexpected Dai', and 'Kaibaman', while the drawn card was the 'Negate Attack' Spell Card.

"Heh!" scoffed Spencer. "Looks like I was right about this being sooner than you think." He took and held a card out. "I'll activate 'Unexpected Dai' from my hand! If I control no monsters, I'm allowed to Special Summon one Level 4 or lower Normal Monster from my Deck."

All of a sudden, much to Commander Leon's surprise', 'Vorse Raider' appeared on the field in a battle ready pose (Level: 4/ATK: 1900/DEF: 1200).

"You've chosen 'Vorse Raider'?" he questioned. "But, why? It's too weak to attack 'Constellar Pleiades'!"

"I'm not finished preparing." retorted Spencer, making his opponent scowl in response. The silver-haired young man then took and placed another card onto his Duel Disk. "Next, I'll Summon 'Kaibaman' in attack mode!"

Appearing onto the field was the human male monster dressed in an outfit with a 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' helmet (Level: 3/ATK: 200/DEF: 700).

"'Kaibaman'?!" Commander Leon cringed.

"That's right!" smirked Spencer. "And his effect is all I need now... By tributing this monster, I'm allowed to Special Summon one 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' from my hand!" He then gave the command. "Show yourself - 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'!"

'Kaibaman' vanished in a blue streak, just as the mighty 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' appeared on the field in his place (Level: 8/ATK: 3000/DEF: 2500).

"NOW I'm a match for your weak monster!" laughed Spencer, entering the Battle Phase immediately. "'Blue-Eyes', lay waste to 'Constellar Pleiades'! BURST STREAM OF DESTRUCTION!"

'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' started to charge an attack in response to the command being given.

"Not so fast!" countered Commander Leon. "I activate 'Pleiades's' effect!"

"What?!" gasped Spencer.

'Blue-Eyes White Dragon', meanwhile, unleashed its attack, but 'Constellar Pleiades' seemed to be blocking it.

"The effect of 'Constellar Pleiades'..." Commander Leon began. "Once per turn, during either player's turn, I can detach one Xyz Material from this monster, and then target one card on the field; that target returns to the owner's hand."

An Overlay Unit flew into 'Constellar Pleiades's' shield as 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' vanished in light."

"My dragon!" cried Spencer, as a card reappeared in his hand.

Commander Leon laughed. "So much for your 'Blue-Eyes'!" he taunted. "All you have left is 'Vorse Raider'!"

Spencer, upset by the turn of events, took and slotted a card into his Duel Disk.

"I set one card facedown and end my turn." he said in defeat.

A facedown card materialized on the field.

"Huh! I knew this was going to be easy!" huffed Commander Leon, drawing a card. "It's my turn, now!"

Turn Three: Commander Leon (LP: 4000)
Deck: 51
Current Hand (4): "Constellar Aldebaran", "Instant Overlay", "Ritual Sealing", and "Constellar Leonis"

His drawn card was a Monster Card called 'Constellar Leonis', and the rest of his hand contained 'Constellar Aldebaran', 'Instant Overlay', and 'Ritual Sealing'. Adding the drawn card into his hand, Commander Leon took another out.

"From my hand, I'll Summon 'Constellar Aldebaran'!" The former pirate commander second-in-command announced, placing his card onto a Monster Field slot on his Duel Disk.

Appearing onto the field was a large armored warrior with a glowing ring in one of his hands (Level: 3/ATK: 1300/DEF: 800).

"Oh, but guess what? I'm going to Summon a second monster." continued Commander Leon, taking another card from his hand. "When 'Constellar Aldebaran' is Normal Summoned, I can Special Summon one Level 3 'Constellar' Monster from my hand."

On cue, a monster named 'Constellar Leonis' appeared on the field. It wore armor, had spiky blue hair, and had a blue beam-like sword for its right hand (Level: 3/ATK: 1000/DEF: 1800).

"Now, I'll overlay the Level 3 'Constellar Aldebaran' and 'Constellar Leonis'!" announced Commander Leon, going for his second Xyz Summon in the duel. "With these two LIGHT monsters, I build the Overlay Network once more!"

The two monsters flew into another Overlay Network.

"Come forth, Rank 3 - 'Constellar Hyades'!"

Appearing onto the field, when the short Xyz Summon sequence ended, was a muscular warrior in Constellar-styled armor wielding huge blades with glowing rings on the ends (Rank: 3/ATK: 1900/DEF: 1100).

"Once more, I get to draw a card." reminded Commander Leon, drawing a card. "And then, once more, I'll remove one Overlay Unit and activate the effect of 'Pleiades'! Your set card will be returned to your hand!"

Spencer's facedown card turned into light and returned to his hand, much to the silver-haired young man's annoyance. Unfortunately, it was about to get a whole lot worse...

"And now, I'll activate a Trap Card!" As Commander Leon spoke, his set card flipped face-up and revealed itself to be... "'Present Card'! My opponent must discard his or her whole hand and draw five new cards!"

Because Spencer's hand included a 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' Monster Card, Commander Leon knew that it would be sent to the Graveyard by his 'Present Card' Trap Card.

"I really don't like you." Spencer grumbled, as he discarded his whole hand and drew five new cards.

"Well, I hate you even more!" retorted Commander Leon. He then pointed forth. "From here, I'll activate the effect of 'Constellar Hyades'! Once per turn, I can detach one Xyz Material from this monster, changing all monsters my opponent controls into face-up defense position."

An Overly Unit flew into one of 'Constellar Hyades' blades, causing him to slam it onto the ground. The shockwave resulted in 'Vorse Raider' kneeling into a defensive position.

"There. Now your monster is easier to take down!" grinned Commander Leon, entering the Battle Phase. "Go forth, 'Hyades'! Attack and destroy 'Vorse Raider'!"

'Constellar Hyades' obeyed, slashing at 'Vorse Raider' with his blades, destroying the Beast-Warrior monster in a single blow.

"And now that leaves you open for a direct attack!" cackled Commander Leon, before turning his attention to his other monster. "'Constellar Pleiades', attack the opposing player directly!"

'Constellar Pleiades' obeyed, slashing at Spencer with his weapon.

"AUGH!" The silver-haired young man cried out, staggering back (LP: 4000 - 1500). "Damn you!"

"Spencer!" Mr. and Mrs. Gresley (Boxford) both called out at once, clearly worried for their son.

"You may have defeated me last time-" Commander Leon went on, feeling very pleased with himself "-but this time I've come prepared. My Deck has been designed to counter each of your best cards and combos! Now, make your last turn so I can destroy you once and for all!"

Spencer scowled. "Like hell you're going to win!" he growled, drawing a card. "I draw!"

Turn Four: Spencer Gresley (LP: 1500)
Deck: 48
Current Hand (6): "Clone Dragon", "Return of the Dragon Lords", "Mausoleum of White", "Majesty with Eyes of Blue", "Infinite Impermanence", and "Priestess with Eyes of Blue"

His hand now contained 'Clone Dragon', 'Return of the Dragon Lords', 'Mausoleum of White', 'Majesty with Eyes of Blue', 'Infinite Impermanence', and the drawn 'Priestess with Eyes of Blue'.

"Spencer..." The voice of Maiden with Eyes of Blue echoed, as the Duel Spirit appeared beside her master/friend. "My friend will help you."

"Friend?" Spencer murmured, before looking at his hand. He then realized what Maiden with Eyes of Blue was talking about. "Oh, now I see..."

With that thought on hand, Maiden with Eyes of Blue faded away as Spencer began making his comeback move...

"Come forth - Tuner Monster, 'Priestess with Eyes of Blue'!" The silver-haired young man announced, placing his card onto his Duel Disk.

Appearing onto the field was what looked like an older version of 'Maiden with Eyes of Blue', and she was wearing a blue school outfit (female version) from a certain academy that specializes in teaching how to play Duel Monsters. In the female monster's hands was a special tool called the Kagura suzu (Level: 1/ATK: 0/DEF: 0).

"Tuner Monster?" frowned Commander Leon.

"Next, I'll Special Summon 'Clone Dragon' from my hand!" continued Spencer, placing another card onto his Duel Disk (sideways).

Appearing onto the field was the small dragon that was glowing in different colors. Almost immediately, it morphed itself into a copy of 'Priestess with Eyes of Blue'.

"When I Summon a monster, I can Special Summon this monster from my hand." explained Spencer. "When this monster is Special Summoned this way, its name, Attack Power, and Defense Power become the same as the Summoned monster's."

"Hmph! I know how the card works, you know." grunted Commander Leon. "Since 'Constellar Pleiades' has no more Overlay Units, I can't use his effect again." He then seemed to smirk. "Or can I?"

"What are you getting at?" Spencer demanded, watching as his opponent's second set card flipped face-up and revealed itself. "W-What?!"

"Quick-Play Spell - 'Instant Overlay', activate!" announced Commander Leon. "It lets me target one face-up Xyz Monster on the field that has no Xyz Materials; this card can be attached to the targeted monster as an Xyz Material."

Another Overlay Unit began to float around 'Constellar Pleiades'.

"That means I 'can' stop what you have planned!" The psychotic pirate commander laughed. "Like this for instance; I activate the effect of 'Constellar Pleiades'! I'll remove that Overlay Unit to target 'Priestess with Eyes of Blue' and return her into your hand!"

The Overlay Unit flew into 'Constellar Pleiades's' weapon.

"Say goodbye to your monster!"

"Not before I activate 'Priestess with Eyes of Blue's' effect!" cut in Spencer. "When a card or effect is activated that targets this face-up card, I can send one Effect Monster I control to the Graveyard, and, if I do this, add up to two 'Blue-Eyes' Monsters with different names from my Deck into my hand."

The copy of 'Priestess with Eyes of Blue' ('Clone Dragon') vanished in streaks of blue, just as two cards ejected from Spencer's Deck. Both cards were Effect Monster Cards called 'Blue-Eyes Solid Dragon' and 'Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon'. Unfortunately, it couldn't save 'Priestess with Eyes of Blue' from turning into a ball of light and returning to Spencer's hand.

"Your field is completely empty!" declared Commander Leon. "I shall do everything in my power to make sure my victory against you is absolutely perfect. That means I will not let you touch any of my Life Points!"

"I doubt that." grinned Spencer. "I was EXPECTING you to waste a card like 'Instant Overlay' on a decoy of mine!"

"Huh?"

"I activate a Field Spell - 'Mausoleum of White'!" The silver-haired young man went on, taking and holding a new card out. "Behold its power!"

The scenery around them changed into a large Mausoleum decorated with statues and such of 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'.

"This is a new card." commented Mrs. Gresley (Boxford). "But will it be enough for Spencer to win?"

Only one way to find out...

"During my Main Phase, I can Normal Summon one Level 1 LIGHT Tuner Monster in addition to my Normal Summon or Set." explained Spencer, knowing that his opponent would not be happy to learn of this. "You know what that means, right?"

Within seconds, 'Priestess with Eyes of Blue' returned to the field.

"Dammit!" cursed Commander Leon.

"That's right, I've Summoned 'Priestess with Eyes of Blue' again." confirmed Spencer. "And this is the beginning of your downfall!" He then held another card out. "From my hand, I'll activate the Spell Card 'Majesty with Eyes of Blue'! By sending one 'Blue-Eyes' Monster from my hand or Deck to the Graveyard, I can target one face-up monster on the field; it cannot attack while it is face-up on the field."

Commander Leon swore again, watching as his opponent drew a card ('Deep of Blue-Eyes'), looked at it, and sent it to the Graveyard.

"I'll discard 'Deep of Blue-Eyes' from my Deck to target 'Constellar Pleiades'." continued Spencer. "Now, so long as it remains on the field, it can't attack!"

Commander Leon was not happy to hear that. Now he couldn't use his mighty 'Constellar Pleiades' to finish Spencer off.

"You may have stopped one of my monsters-" he reminded. "-but you seem to forget I have another one out!"

"My turn still isn't over." Spencer pointed out, slotting a card into his Duel Disk. On cue, a Spell Card called 'Return of the Dragon Lords' flipped face-up and revealed itself. "'Return of the Dragon Lords', activate! I target one Level 7 or 8 Dragon monster in my Graveyard and Special Summon it. Appear - 'Deep of Blue-Eyes'!"

Appearing onto the field was a majestic, four-winged version of 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon (Level: 8/ATK: 2500/DEF: 2500).

"'Deep of Blue-Eyes'?" frowned Commander Leon.

"Spencer's certainly been expanding on 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'." put in Mr. Gresley (Boxford).

"I wonder what other surprises his new cards will show." added Mrs. Gresley (Boxford).

And more was to come...

"The effect of 'Deep of Blue-Eyes!" announced Spencer. "If this monster is Special Summoned, I can add one Ritual Spell or one 'Polymerization' from my Deck into my hand."

"A Ritual Spell or 'Polymerization'?" repeated Commander Leon. In his mind... "Which of the two will he pick?"

Over with Spencer; the silver-haired young man drew a card, seeing it was a Spell Card called 'Chaos Form'. It was a sign he selected a Ritual Spell. But, it was too soon to activate it, and so commenced his big strategy...

"I'm Tuning my Level 8 Effect Monster, 'Deep of Blue-Eyes', with the Level 1 Tuner Monster, Priestess with Eyes of Blue'!" declared Spencer dramatically.

'Priestess with Eyes of Blue' turned into a single Synchro Ring, which 'Deep of Blue-Eyes flew into. The symbols 8 plus 1 equals 9 were shown briefly as a Summon Chant commenced...

"The Legendary Dragon's wings beat to the tune of the heart. And from that tune comes a light of supreme might!" chanted Spencer, before raising his right hand into the air. "Synchro Summon! Arise! Level 9 - 'Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon'!"

When the Synchro Summon sequence came to an end, flying out of the beam of light was a 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' with a slightly different, bigger-looking appearance (Level: 9/ATK: 2500/DEF: 3000).

"Did Spencer just Synchro Summon?!" recoiled Mrs. Gresley (Boxford), although she couldn't help but admire what was Summoned.

"His Deck has truly been evolving." put in Mr. Gresley (Boxford).

Back in the duel field...

"Tch! So, you've managed to actually Synchro Summon." growled Commander Leon. "Nice try, but your new monster ties with my own."

"Guess again." interrupted Spencer. "First, 'Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon' prevents either of us from Special Summoning two or more monsters at the same time." He then pointed at his face-up 'Mausoleum of White'. "And now, I'll activate the second effect of 'Mausoleum of White'! Once per turn, I can target one face-up monster I control and send one Normal Monster from my hand or Deck to the Graveyard, and, if I do this, the targeted monster gains Attack Points or Defense Points equal to the Level of the monster sent to the Graveyard times 100 until the end of this turn - even if this card leaves the field."

Commander Leon did not like the sound of that; he watched as Spencer drew a card and showed his opponent what it was...

"I'll send 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' to the Graveyard to increase 'Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon's' Attack Power by 100 points times the Level of my discarded monster." Spencer went on. "8 times 100 equals 800, so 800 points are added to 'Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon's' Attack Power!"

'Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon's' Attack Power went up (ATK: 2500 - 3300). All of a sudden, 'Deep of Blue-Eyes' seemed to reappear on the field with a loud roar.

"What is the meaning of this?!" demanded Commander Leon.

"It's easy; I'm removing 'Deep of Blue-Eyes' from my Graveyard." answered Spencer, as 'Deep of Blue-Eyes' faded away into oblivion. "You see, I can remove this monster from my Graveyard; all Level 8 or higher Dragon monsters I control gain 1000 Attack Points."

With a loud roar, 'Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon' grew even stronger (ATK: 3300 - 4300).

"Ngh... You really like making me mad, don't you?" huffed Commander Leon.

"Talk to the dragon!" boomed Spencer, entering the Battle Phase at last. "'Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon', show your rage towards 'Constellar Pleiades'! SPIRIT STREAM OF DESTRUCTION!"

'Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon' obeyed, firing a devastating blast of spirit-like electricity at 'Constellar Pleiades', vaporizing him on contact. Commander Leon, bracing himself, cried out as his Life Points took a major hit (LP: 4000 - 2200).

"Finally-" Spencer went on, slotting a card into his Duel Disk. "-I'll set one card facedown and end my turn."

A facedown card materialized on the field.

"I refuse to be beaten by you again!" shouted Commander Leon, shaking his head stubbornly. "I'd rather be dead in a ditch than to be humiliated once again!"

"You know, that can be arranged." said Spencer dangerously. "Now, it's your turn!"

"You punk..." Commander Leon hissed furiously, drawing a card. "It's my turn!"

As it was the End Phase, 'Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon's' Attack Power went down (ATK: 4300 - 3500).

Turn Five: Commander Leon (LP: 4000)
Deck: 49
Current Hand (3): "Ritual Sealing", "Constellar Sombre", and "Pot of Greed"

"I activate the Spell Card 'Pot of Greed'!" Commander Leon declared, holding his card out. "This lets me draw two more cards!"

Spencer gave a silent nod, letting his opponent draw two cards. Those cards were 'Constellar Meteor' (Trap Card) and 'Constellar Tempest' (Spell Card). Deciding to save those cards for later, Commander Leon added them into his hand, selected another card, and placed it onto a Monster Field slot on his Duel Disk.

"Come forth - 'Constellar Sombre'!" The former pirate second-in-command ordered.

Appearing onto the field was a winged fairy creature with the familiar-looking Constellar armor (Level: 4/ATK: 1550/DEF: 1600).

"I activate the Monster Effect of 'Constellar Sombre'!" announced Commander Leon. "I can remove one 'Constellar' Monster from my Graveyard, and then target one 'Constellar' Monster in my Graveyard and add that target into my hand!"

On cue, a card ('Constellar Aldebaran') ejected from the Graveyard before fading away into oblivion, resulting in the 'Constellar Kaus' Monster Card also ejecting from the Graveyard, but with no ill effects.

"I Banish 'Constellar Aldebaran' to add 'Constellar Kaus' into my hand!" continued Commander Leon. "By doing this, 'Constellar Sombre' gains another effect; this turn, I can Normal Summon one additional 'Constellar' Monster." He took another card and held it out. "I Summon 'Constellar Kaus'!"

The 'Constellar' archer-like monster reappeared on the field.

"You know what it can do, right?"

"Yes, I do." groaned Spencer.

"'Sombre' and 'Kaus' both gain an additional Level!" declared Commander Leon. "This will make them Level 5 monsters!"

Both 'Constellar Kaus' (Level: 4 - 5) and 'Constellar Sombre' (Level: 4 - 5) had their levels increased by one. As a result, both monsters were at Level 5.

"Now-" Commander Leon grinned. "-I overlay the Level 5 'Constellar Kaus' and 'Constellar Sombre'! With these two LIGHT monsters, I build the Overlay Network again!"

As expected, the two monsters turned into energy and dove into the Overlay Network.

"I Xyz Summon a second copy of 'Constellar Pleiades'!"

Within seconds, a second 'Constellar Pleiades' appeared on the field (Rank: 5/ATK: 2500/DEF: 1500). On cue, the face-up 'Constellar Star Chart' Spell Card started to activate once more.

"And thanks to 'Constellar Star Chart still being face-up on the field-" reminded Commander Leon, drawing a card ('Stoic Challenge') and looking at it briefly. "-I draw another card. However, that isn't what I'm aiming for; you remember 'Pleiades's' effect, don't you?"

Spencer scowled without saying a word about it.

"I'll take that as a yes; once per turn, during either player's turn, I can detach one Xyz Material from this monster, and then target one card on the field and return that target to the hand."

One Overlay Unit faded from 'Constellar Pleiades', and he started to use his effect to eliminate 'Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon'.

"Say goodbye!" laughed Commander Leon.

"No, you don't!" cut in Spencer, as his facedown card flipped up and revealed itself. "Trap Card - 'Infinite Impermanence', activate! It lets me target one face-up monster my opponent controls; its effects are negated until the end of this turn, then, if this card was Set before activation and is on the field at resolution, for the rest of this turn all other Spell or Trap effects in this column are negated."

"That will stop the pirate from sending 'Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon' back into Spencer's Extra Deck!" realized Mr. Gresley (Boxford).

And it did... The effect of 'Constellar Pleiades' did nothing against 'Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon'.

"How does it feel knowing I found a way around your combo?" Spencer grinned, clearly taunting his opponent.

"Well, what if I were to tell you using 'Pleiades's' effect was to get you to waste a Trap Card?" commented Commander Leon. He then continued with his turn... "As of now, I'm going to Xyz Summon my best monster!"

"Your best monster?" Spencer repeated. "How do you plan on doing that?"

This was how...

"I will do it by targeting 'Constellar Hyades' and merging it with the Overlay Unit it currently has equipped to itself!" began Commander Leon, spreading his arms out in welcome. "With these two monsters, I build the Overlay Network yet again!"

"What?!" Spencer gasped. "How can you use an Xyz Monster in another Xyz Summon?"

His answer never came (not yet, anyway); the familiar Overlay Network reappeared in the center of the field and absorbed 'Constellar Hyades' and its two Overlay Units inside. In addition, a Summon Chant commenced...

"Rain down your dazzling light!" chanted Commander Leon, before, again, spreading his arms out in welcome. "Xyz EVOLUTION!"

"What?!" cringed Spencer.

"Xyz Evolution?!" put in Mr. Gresley (Boxford).

Back in the duel field, the Overlay Network soon exploded with great power, revealing the shadow of a new monster hidden within the rising pillar of light.

"Appear! Rank 6 - 'Constellar Ptolemy M7'!" exclaimed Commander Leon.

Appearing onto the field was a large mechanical dragon colored to look like the other 'Constellar' Monsters. It was the same monster that Commander Leon used to try and shoot Spencer and his parents out of the sky (Rank: 6/ATK :2700/DEF: 2000).

"Here we are; this is my best monster." The former pirate second-in-command declared. "It's here at long last, and it's ready to take you out, Spencer Gresley! The bad news is that because it was Summoned by the way of Xyz Evolution, its own effect can't be activated this turn." He then took and readied a card. "However, I can activate an Equip Spell I have right here..." Once the card was turned over, it was revealed to be... "...'Stoic Challenge'!"

The mentioned Spell Card materialized face-up on the field behind 'Constellar Ptolemy M7'.

"This card can be equipped only to a face-up Xyz Monster that has Xyz Material." explained Commander Leon. "The equipped Xyz Monster gains 600 Attack Points for each Xyz Material attached."

Because he had two Overlay Units, 'Constellar Ptolemy M7' grew MUCH stronger than ever before (ATK: 2700 - 3900).

"And another thing - my monster's effects cannot be activated while equipped with 'Stoic Challenge', but any Battle Damage my opponent takes from battles involving the equipped Xyz Monster and their monster is doubled. At the End Phase of your turn, I must send this card to the Graveyard. When this card leaves the field, I have to destroy the equipped monster."

Spencer scowled in response; he wasn't about to be taken down like that!

"I activate the final effect of 'Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon'!" The silver-haired young man announced. "During either player's turn, I can tribute this Synchro Summoned monster and Special Summon one LIGHT Dragon-Type Synchro Monster from my Extra Deck in defense mode, except 'Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon', but it's destroyed during the End Phase of the current turn."

As Spencer spoke and explained his monster's effect, 'Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon' let out a roar as it faded away in a beam of light.

"You have another Synchro Monster?" questioned Commander Leon.

"You're not the only one who's Deck is full of surprises." Spencer pointed out, readying a new card. "Now, with 'Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon' gone, I'll Special Summon its companion - 'Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon'!"

Appearing onto the field was another evolved form of 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon', but this one had far shinier scales and seemed a bit tougher despite a lower Attack Power (Level: 9/ATK: 2500/DEF: 3000).

"'Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon'!" cried Commander Leon.

"Good luck getting past this monster!" dared Spencer. "As this monster was Special Summoned, neither player can target Dragon-Type monsters I currently control with Card Effects, and also they cannot be destroyed by Card Effects. This lasts until the end of the turn."

"Well, I can still destroy it in battle!" declared Commander Leon. He gave the command to his ace monster... "'Constellar Ptolemy M7', attack 'Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon'!"

'Constellar Ptolemy M7' obeyed, firing a blast at the dragon.

"Say goodbye to your dragon!"

"On the contrary, 'Azure-Eyes' isn't going anywhere." interrupted Spencer, taking and holding a card from his Graveyard. "You see, by removing 'Return of the Dragon Lords' from the Graveyard, I can negate the destruction of a Dragon-Type monster I control by battle once. And seeing as my monster is in defense mode, I take no Battle Damage from your desperation attack."

The blast struck, but 'Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon' stood firm, shrugging it off like it was nothing.

"I'm still in the duel!" smirked Spencer (LP: 1500).

"Damn your shrewd tricks!" complained Commander Leon, before holding another card out. "From my hand, I'll activate a Continuous Spell - 'Constellar Tempest'! It can only be activated if I control two 'Constellar' Xyz Monsters. During the End Phase of a turn, the opponent's Life Points are cut in half. When a 'Constellar' Monster I control leaves the field, this card is destroyed." He then slotted two more cards into his Duel Disk. "Now, I'll set two more cards and end my turn!"

Two facedown cards materialized on the field.

"Let's see if you can get through that. But, first of all..."

As expected, the face-up 'Constellar Tempest' Spell Card, because Commander Leon controlled two 'Constellar' Xyz Monsters, started to activate... Spencer, glowing red, cried out as his Life Points were halved (LP: 1500 - 750). The face-up 'Infinite Impermanence' Trap Card on Spencer's side of the field also shattered into shards of glass because its effect had worn off.

"And finally, 'Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon'!" continued Commander Leon. "Do you remember when you used 'Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon's' effect? Your LIGHT Dragon-Type Synchro Monster is destroyed at the end of the turn!"

But...nothing seemed to happen to 'Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon'.

"What?! Why isn't 'Azure-Eyes' gone from the field?!"

"You forgot already?" chuckled Spencer. "The effect of 'Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon' prevents it from being destroyed by Card Effects. As a result, it's staying right where it is."

'Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon' roared in triumph, agreeing with its master.

"No matter!" dismissed Commander Leon. "I'm currently in a position to win on my next turn! Once my turn does come, I'll be able to finish you off! Once you're beaten, you and your parents will have to beat it and never come back!"

"That will never happen!" Spencer retorted, not about to give up. "This company belongs to my family, and nobody is going to take it from us! Your boss will soon face my wrath once I'm done with you!"

"You can't win!" argued Commander Leon. "My Deck is so much stronger than your own!"

"Clearly, you've already forgotten all about my Deck's true power." huffed Spencer, before drawing a card with a Destiny Draw. "It's my turn!"

Turn Six: Spencer Gresley (LP: 750)
Deck: 45
Current Hand (4): "Silver's Cry", "Chaos Form", "Blue-Eyes Solid Dragon", and "Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon"

"And now... Come forth - 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'!"

To Commander Leon's great surprise, 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' reappeared on the field with a great roar.

"'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'?!" he exclaimed. "Where did that monster come from?"

"The effect of 'Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon', that's what!" answered Spencer. "Once per turn, during my Standby Phase, I can target one Normal Monster in my Graveyard and Special Summon it. And, obviously, I've chosen 'Blue-Eyes'!"

'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' let loose a roar of agreement.

"In that case, I'll do something about your attacking attempts!" suggested Commander Leon, just as his first set card flipped face-up and revealed itself. "Trap Card - 'Constellar Meteor', activate! During the turn this card is activated, if an opponent's monster battles a 'Constellar' Monster, and the opponent's monster is not destroyed, shuffle it into the Deck at the end of the Damage Step."

"You honestly believe that will stop me?" frowned Spencer. "If you really think that's the case, you're delusional!" He then removed both Monster Cards from his Duel Disk. "I sacrifice both of my dragons!"

The two dragons vanished in blue streaks.

"W-What?!" Commander Leon cringed.

"And now-" continued Spencer, placing another card onto his Duel Disk. "-I'll Tribute Summon 'Blue-Eyes Solid Dragon'!"

Appearing onto the field was what looked like 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon', but its wings were transparent rainbow-colored (Level: 8/ATK: 2500/DEF: 2000).

"'Blue-Eyes Solid Dragon'..." grumbled Commander Leon. "This punk... He has so many of those 'Blue-Eyes' Monsters!" He then grinned. "But if he tries anything with it..."

"As this monster was Normal Summoned, I can target one face-up monster my opponent controls and negate its effects." explained Spencer. He then pointed forth. "The targeted monster will be 'Constellar Pleiades'!"

"Just like that." Commander Leon thought to himself. He then spoke aloud. "I was expecting you to do that!" While speaking, 'Constellar Pleiades' lost its last Overlay Unit. "I activate-"

"And YOU hold it!" interrupted Spencer, causing the former pirate second-in-command to freeze in his spot. "I activate 'Blue-Eyes Solid Dragon's' next effect! When my opponent activates a card or effect, I can shuffle this monster from the field into the Deck, and, if I do this, I can Special Summon one 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' from my Deck!"

'Blue-Eyes Solid Dragon' vanished in a blinding light as the original 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' then appeared on the field in its place.

"But, now is the time for me to activate my secret weapon!" continued Spencer, taking and holding a card out. "I activate a Spell Card!"

On cue, the 'Chaos Form' Spell Card materialized face-up on the field.

"'Chaos Form'! This card can be used to Ritual Summon any 'Chaos' or 'Black Luster Soldier' Ritual Monster. I must also tribute monsters from my hand or field and/or banish 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' or 'Dark Magician' from my Graveyard, whose total Levels exactly equal the Level of the 'Chaos' or 'Black Luster Soldier' Ritual Monster I Ritual Summon."

'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' roared as it began to glow and evolve into a newer-looking form.

"Appear, Level 8 - 'Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon'!" boomed Spencer.

When the glowing ceased, a more high tech-looking 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' was shown to be on the field in the place of the previous monster (Level: 8/ATK: 3000/DEF: 0).

"Your secret weapon?" pondered Commander Leon.

"It is." confirmed Spencer. "Now that I have it out, you're done for."

"I somehow doubt that."

The silver-haired young man raised an eyebrow without uttering another word in response.

"Facedown card, open!" Commander Leon went on, just as his remaining set card flipped face-up and revealed itself to be... "'Ritual Sealing'! This will destroy one Ritual Monster on the field; namely, 'Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon'!"

A large ritualistic circle appeared underneath 'Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon', but, surprisingly, nothing happened to it. Before long, the ritualistic circle died down.

"What?!" cried Commander Leon.

"That's because you, my opponent, can't target or destroy this monster with Card Effects." explained Spencer, folding his arms. "'Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon' is not going anywhere; it's going to be the one to finish you off."

Commander Leon didn't like the sound of that. Even then, 'Constellar Ptolemy M7' was still much stronger, and would only be destroyed on Spencer's End Phase. As a result, Commander Leon was still convinced he could survive the turn and win on the next turn. Alas, it was not meant to happen...

"Now, it's time for another effect of 'Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon' to be activated!" Spencer declared, as his Battle Phase began. He then announced the effect name... "CHAOS LIGHTNING!"

'Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon' began charging a large blast.

"What?!" gasped Commander Leon.

The attack was unleashed, striking both enemy monsters and changing them into a defensive stance.

"'Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon's' effect..." began Spencer. "If this monster was Ritual Summoned using a 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' and it declares an attack with it, I can change the battle positions of as many monsters my opponent controls as possible, and, if I do this, the Attack Power and Defense Power of those changed monsters become zero!"

"Z-Zero?!" wailed Commander Leon.

He watched helplessly as both 'Constellar Pleiades' (ATK: 2500 - 0/DEF: 1500 - 0) and 'Constellar Ptolemy M7' (ATK: 3900 - 0/DEF: 2000 - 0) both got crippled in stats.

"Also, this turn, if this monster attacks a defense position monster-" continued Spencer. "-I can inflict piercing Battle Damage."

"'P-Piercing damage?!" Commander Leon gasped in horror. "No! Not again!"

'Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon was now charging its main attack, ready to end the duel upon the command being given. Finally, the order from Spencer was eagerly given...

"CHAOS STREAM OF DESTRUCTION!" he roared.

The blast from the powerful dragon was fired, vaporizing 'Constellar Ptolemy M7' on contact before hitting Commander Leon head on, overwhelming and causing him to scream in agony.

(elsewhere...)

Inside various hallways of Boxford Corp HQ, there was a pretty nasty shaking going on due to the power of 'Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon's' attack. That was something Thomas and the likes were experiencing at the moment in one hallway.

(elsewhere...)

Back atop the helipad outside, Commander Leon, after the attack ended, collapsed to his knees in defeat as the remains of his Life Points dropped all the way to zero (LP: 2200 - 0).

DUEL RESULTS: Spencer Gresley wins!

The remaining holograms faded away as Spencer walked up towards Commander Leon and gazed at him hatefully.

"Game Over, pirate." he sneered. "I think you owe me a little visit to your boss."

"That's not the deal." Commander Leon refused, reluctantly giving his enemy a Keycard. "You want to reach the captain? That's too bad. You'll need to use Keycards to open locked doors. Since you've beaten me again, you can have this one..."

Spencer took the Keycard and looked at it carefully. Just then...

"Spencer! Your Bio-Band!" warned Mr. Gresley (Boxford).

But, it was too late. Spencer and Commander Leon were both zapped by the Bio-Bands and drained of some of their energy, causing them to scream in pain, while both Mr. and Mrs. Gresley (Boxford) could only watch on, obviously worried for their son's safety. When the shocking finally stopped, only Commander Leon was out like a light from the torture. Spencer, on the other hand, merely fell to a knee while clutching his chest in agony.

"Not again..." he groaned. "Nevertheless, this is nothing!"

"Spencer..." worried Mrs. Gresley (Boxford).

"I swear, I will put an end to that Frankie Clarke and rescue both Skiff and our family's company with my own... own two hands!"

Oh, wow... Let's hope Spencer can back those words up.

(elsewhere...)

Inside the main office of Boxford Corp a while later, Frankie was currently seated alone with her back to the doors. The light was dim and her eyes were closed, yet it was like she could see things going on behind her anyway. The doors soon opened, and Frankie, with her eyes still shut, seemed to smile.

"Hello, traitor." The blue/green-haired girl greeted coldly. "Fancy seeing you make it this far."

The 'traitor' standing in the doorway was none other than Commander Laura. She had finally found her way to Frankie's office, and was ready to get her revenge.

"The only traitor is your Uncle, 'captain'." Commander Laura snarled. "He ruined my life, and now I'm going to get even by taking my vengeance out on you!"

Frankie did not say a word in response, and this angered Commander Laura further...

"Hey! Didn't you hear a word I said?!"

Finally, the chair swung around and revealed Frankie, with her eyes opened and the evil smile still on her face with no signs of leaving anytime soon. It was as if she wasn't the slightest bit worried about one of her pirates attempting to face her. It...amused her.

"So, you want to get revenge by taking it out on me?" chuckled Frankie. "Apparently, you lost a little something back when you were beaten by Thomas on the roof of the old hideout; your brain."

"You dare to insult me?" Commander Laura snapped, with one of her eyes twitching with fury. "The only crazy one around here is 'you' for being too blind to realize your Uncle was a liar!"

"You're calling me crazy? Have you even looked at yourself in the mirror lately? Face it, Laura, that's the wrong thing to say about who I am. Saying that I'm crazy is like the Pot calling the Kettle 'black'. Besides, all I'm seeing right now is a traitor who thought she could get away with trying to backstab me."

Commander Laura growled in response, watching as Frankie stood up from the desk and seemed to begin walking over. To the female pirate commander's surprise, Frankie simply walked past her for a moment.

"Now, if you truly want to fight me, come with me to a more...suitable area." she suggested. "Oh, and don't think we'll be alone for our battle; I think you'll like the audience that will be waiting for us."

With that said, Frankie walked out of the room. Commander Laura, curious and eager, decided to follow her former ally to wherever they were going to duel.
