Mama Yang Hero Academia-42
The night air was dark, and filled with the stench of smoke. Kota sat there, alone at his secret hideout, with a glimmer of anger evident in his eyes. He didn't care what the students from U.A were doing, he couldn't care less, all the while, Mandalay's words from when he first moved here with her, were echoing in his head.
"Trust me Kota, it will happen, you'll meet someone, and you'll finally understand, why we do what we do, someone who'll risk their life, put others first, someone who'll be…"
"No one like that really exists." Kota said, before the final words from the memory could play in his head, before his eyes widened when he spotted the blue flames spreading across the forest, and jumped to his feet.
"Well-well what do we have here?"
Kota twisted around at the sound of the voice, and saw a large cloaked figure standing there, with a mask over his face. The figure was big, standing at around All Might's height, and from the looks of it, muscle mass as well. Kota began to back up slowly, as the figure came walking towards him.
"I came up here scouting for a nice vantage point, and here I find someone who's not on our list." The figure said. "By the way, nice hat kid, I like it. Why don't you trade me for this lame mask huh? They made me wear it 'cause I'm new. Said they couldn't get a shipment of the good ones in time."
As the figure began removing his mask, Kota's brain started working properly again, and he began running for his life.
"Aw well." The figure said.
The cloaked man crouched down, ready to pounce, his legs of his pants, and boots distorted and he leapt through the air, leaving cracks in the ground, jumping to the rock wall, and landing in front of Kota, leaving him no room for escape.
"NO." Kota screamed.
"I think you and me should have some fun up here kid." The man said as the hood of his cloak flew off his head, and his face was revealed, his the flesh of his left eye socket, and the scar covering the upper left half of his face visible, and the artificial eye starring right at him. "Ready?"
"It's you." Kota gasped, as fear began to course through his entire body, and subconsciously, he only said two words. "Papa, Mama."
Just as Muscular brought his fist down to strike at Kota, a flash of energy came speeding past the musclebound villain, and grabbed Kota, narrowly avoiding the strike.
Scythe twisted around, landing on her feet and sliding back, digging one of her hands into the ground as she held Kota in her other arm, a glare directed at Muscular, as she skid to a halt on the other side of the rocky trail, stopping right in front of the curved path, and put Kota down, as he starred up at her in shock.
"What are you doing?" Kota asked her.
"You." Scythe said, her pupils shrinking in anger, ignoring Kota's question.
"Do I know you kid?" Muscular asked straightening himself up.
Scythe stood up, and put Kota down, before using her hand to push him back a bit behind her.
"I guess my hunch was right. You did join the League of Villains." Scythe said, glaring daggers at him.
"Hold on. You I recognize, you were on the list." Muscular said.
'I came up here to make sure Kota got back to the campsite safely, I didn't think I'd actually run into any villains. Damn it, I left my scroll at the cabin.' Scythe thought, her knuckles cracking as she moved her fingers. 'Though I guess it couldn't have been better. I'm gonna make him pay for what he's done. Though this is a bit of a double edged sword. I didn't tell anyone where I was going, which means unless mom deals with whoever is starting those fires, she can't track my scent and come to my aid. It's just me, all alone, I have to stop this guy by myself. But I'm not sure I can do that and protect Kota at the same time. No, stop thinking like that. I'm gonna save him, I will protect him, and I will take Muscular down.'
"Hey, Kota." Scythe spoke softly to him, as her arms became covered in obsidian black metal, and the light of One-for-All sparked all around. "I promise you, everything will be okay. I will save you."
"You really think you can save this little brat?" Muscular asked with a laugh. "That does sound like something a wannabe hero would say. Your kind sure likes to mouth off about justice."
"Muscular, psychotic villain wanted for over thirty counts of murder, fifty attempted murders, and twenty five assaults. Those are just the major crimes you committed." Scythe exclaimed.
"The name's Xiao Long, right? You know, I'm supposed to take you in alive. But seeing as you know so much about me, I can't exactly let you live." Muscular smiled. "But first a little torment. Show me your blood."
Muscular leapt at Scythe, and before anything else, she pushed Kota back, and blocked the punch with her left arm, while supporting it with her right hand pressed against it. But even then, Muscular's punch sent her flying back into the rock wall of the mountain.
"Woopsie." Muscular said.
'Damn it. That hit didn't break any bones, but it did cause some real pain, it even dented my metal.' Scythe thought quickly undoing her metal shield and building it back up. 'This guy is just as strong as Grandpa Toshi and he's not just throwing his weight around.'
"Oh yeah, maybe you could help me out a little bit. Do you know where a kid named Bakugo might be around here, or another kid named Nikos?" Muscular asked.
'They're after Bakugo and Pyrrha, why?'
"I still have a job to do after all." Muscular said, charging at her again.
Scythe managed to evade the strike, and slid to a halt and glaring at Muscular.
"I'll take your silence to mean that you don't know, is that right?" Muscular asked, turning to face her. "Oh good then. PLAY TIME." Muscular shouted, lunging at Scythe and kicking her in the stomach, knocking her into a higher position on the rock wall. The result of this was Scythe's blood spilling out on a fresh gash on her head, with a sinister echoing laugh coming from Muscular. "Yes. Blood is exactly what I want coming from you. What'd you promise, that you'd protect him? How's that working out for you huh? Don't just lay there dumbass."
'That muscle Quirk of his is more powerful than I thought. I need to think this through. If I worry about Pyrrha and Bakugo now, I'm screwed. I'm exhausted from my training today, so I can't use a lot of my magic. Even if I replenish it, my muscles are still repairing themselves from the workout. I have an idea, but it's a gamble.' Scythe thought charging her arm with power. 'Etherion-One-for-All, 100%. SMASH.'
Scythe slammed her fist into Muscular, and he was taken aback, as he was sent into the same rock wall he'd sent Scythe into, before rocks began to fall on top of him.
'I'm not sure how long that'll hold him down. But it's better than nothing.' Scythe thought wincing at the pain in her right arm, she looked down to see the metal was gone, and her arm was covered in bruises and lacerations. 'Damn it, I thought this would happen.'
"AHAHAHAHAHA. Impressive kid. You're strong, but I didn't even feel pain from that." Muscular said springing up from the rocks that had buried him. Within an instant, Muscular was in front of Scythe and slammed his fist into her stomach sending her flying back. "My Quirk increases my speed and strength so exponentially, that my muscle fibers can't even be contained by my skin. I know I'm bragging a bit, but I mean come on. I guess what I'm trying to say is, you're just an inferior female version of me." Muscular went for another strike against Scythe, and missed as the Etherion Godslayer dodged the attack, though one large rock did slam into her face. "I can't help but laugh at you kid." Muscular said, jumping up into the air behind Scythe. "You really think you're a hero, don't you?" Muscular slammed his fist into Scythe's back, sending her straight down into the stone path. "How are you gonna save the brat, huh? Don't make promises you can't keep, live up to your words or they don't mean anything."
'No, I can do this.' Scythe groaned as she forced herself to stand back on her feet. 'My Aura and Healing magic have nearly healed my arm completely, once that's done, I can fight back.'
"You're no hero, you're just a fraud, and you'll die that way." Muscular cried raising his arm.
A rock stopped him when it hit the back of his head. It wasn't anything more than an annoyance but Muscular still turned to see Kota was the one who threw it at him.
"Remember Waterhose?" He asked, glaring at Muscular, despite all the fear he felt coursing through him. "My mom, and my dad. Did you torment the two of them to, before you killed them?"
"Huh? Seriously? Those losers were your parents?" Muscular asked.
His words of insult, rang in Scythe's ears, and her heart began pounding with anger and hatred.
"Well then this must be fate. The Waterhose Heroes, they're the reason why I have an artificial eye in my left socket right now." Muscular explained.
"This is all your fault. Nothing in the world is right anymore and it's because of crazy people like you." Kota shouted.
"Little kids are always quick to say it's someone else's fault." Muscular said, as if it wasn't entirely his fault that he killed Waterhose. "Don't get the wrong idea. It's not like I took them out because I was mad about the eye thing. I wanted to kill people it's as simple as that, and those two tried to stop me."
Hearing this, Scythe clenched her teeth, and the steam that had been pouring out of her skin, had faded and stopped as the scar that went in a full circle all the way around her right shoulder, and the scar over her right eye, began to glow purple, as the Fairy Tail emblem, branded on her back, began to burn.
"What happened was the result of all of us doing our best." Muscular said. "The real travesty is promising to do something you aren't able to do. That's why your dear old mommy and daddy died."
As Muscular went for a killing blow to Kota, time seemed to slow to a standstill for Scythe as her vision became blurred and she found herself starring at someone she hadn't seen before, but still looked very familiar to her.
The man stood at least as tall as her Argonaut form. He wore white pants, with no shirt under his white trench coat, with a gear on the chest. His hair was snowy white, but he looked as young as she was in her current form. Upon his back, were fairy wings that seemed motionless and though not connected to anything, the wings were still acting as if part of his actual body in a tribal pattern, as if held in their place magnetically. (A/N: Neo Eclipse Zeref)
"What is this? What am I seeing?" She questioned. "Is this a memory? But it's not mine. No, it's Natsu's, Natsu and Genji are still a part of me, but why am I being shown this?"
"I am without equal in this world. For I am now a God with control over time itself." The man said.
"I'm sorry." Natsu's voice came from her mouth, it sounded younger than when she first heard it when she took the mental of the Shimada's Dragon Blades. Scythe looked down to see Natsu had a young girl with platinum blonde hair, in his arms as he gently put her down. "But the only thing left for us to do, is get rid of him."
"That so. You're talking about me?"
"Why am I being shown this memory?" Scythe questioned.
"Use that form." Natsu's voice echoed in her head.
"Natsu? I thought you were part of my soul now?" Scythe asked.
"I am, but that doesn't mean, I can't guide you still. Genji has passed on, and allowed himself to be completely immersed by your soul, becoming one with it. But I still have much to guide you with. The form you see in my memory is of my older brother Zeref. With the power of the Goddesses of both light and darkness, you can enter the same form. But unlike I-Island, you will only be able to use one or the other, not both at the same time." Natsu explained.
"But how?"
"Focus on your anger, on the burning sensation the brand is causing on your back. Feel your anger envelope you, but don't let it control you, you control it."
Scythe took a deep breath in before letting it out, feeling her anger encompassing her body like a second skin, as the three major scars on her, the one of her eye, the one around her shoulder, and the branding on her back, began to glow brighter, before her eyes popped open, and her emerald green were replaced with blood red and black sclera.
Time picked back up at its normal pace, and just as Muscular brought his arm down to kill Kota as he screamed for his life, it was grabbed, and its descent stopped, and the shockwave from it, had caused a small crater to form in the ground, and knock Kota away, before the back of his shirt was grabbed, and he was held in place.
Muscular just glared at the figure that stood before him. He recognized Scythe, but there was something different about her. Her hair was completely black, with a purple tint to it, and her outfit was like nothing he'd ever seen before. It consisted of a black trenchcoat, with black pants, and boots. She didn't wear a shirt under the trenchcoat, as was evident by the exposed midriff, but her chest remained covered. Hovering just over her back, was a pair of black tribal fairy wings, and it was clear to see that they weren't attached to anything.
The scary thing about her, was the scar over her right eye, not was white as bone, like an eye mask that only covered her right eye, with red markings decorating its surface, and her eyes had black sclera, with blood red irises, and her skin as pale as a corpse.
Her hand clutch as much of Muscular's wrist as possible, and he found it very difficult to remove it from her grasp.
"Let go of me." Muscular said.
"Demacto Segall Prochta No Quaba." Scythe simply said, her voice sounding like two different women talking at the same time.
"What the hell?" Muscular questioned, before he was thrown into the air.
Scythe jumped after the musclebound villain, and spinning in midair, slammed her foot into his stomach, and sent him flying over the trees and into the distance.
Landing on the stone path Kota was still on, Scythe scooped the shocked and amazed boy into her arms, and leapt forward in the same direction as Muscular had went flying in.
~With the Wild-Wild-Pussycats a couple minute earlier~
"You fake heroes only care about yourselves and your glory." The iguana, known as Spinner, said swinging around an amalgamation of blades. "We'll purge you from this world."
"Spinner even though you're a villain, you're still pretty cool, totally my type." Mandalay said, using her Telepath to distract him. "Are you really blushing? How cute." Mandalay said, swiping at him, and dodging another swing from his cluster of weapons.
"That was a dirty trick to pull." Spinner exclaimed. "Don't toy with me cat."
Before Mandalay could respond, she was enveloped in the same aura that had enveloped Pixie-Bob, and was pulled back.
"Over here, my little kitten." Magna said, using his Quirk on her.
"I won't let you use the same trick twice." Tiger shouted, punching Magna in the face.
(Cue Music… Strike Back: We as Human)
"Tiger, Mandalay, heads up. Something big is approaching fast." Pixie-Bob called out, providing cover for their downed teammate. "Take cover now."
Just as she shouted that, Muscular came falling from the sky and landed in the ground, skidding to a halt, while also creating a trench.
"Muscular?" Spinner asked before there was a second impact, that brought up a cloud of dust.
"Mandalay." Kota's voice called out from the dust cloud.
"Kota?" Mandalay questioned as he came running to her, end embraced her.
"I understand now. What you were talking about when you brought me here, I understand why you do what you do. An' I do have…" The cloud of dust eviscerated as the black fairy wings upon Scythe's back provided a gale of wind that cleared their sights, revealing her Darkness form. "I do have my own hero."
"That was surprising coming from you kid." Muscular said, picking himself up, Mandalay tightening her grip on Kota when she recognized him. "C'mon, show me what you've got."
As Muscular charged at Scythe, the young girl ducked under his swing and took two steps back before leaping forward, and performing a perfect Jack Knife kick hitting Muscular in the head.
Quickly recovering from the blow, Muscular grabbed Scythe by the ankle as she landed on the ground, and threw her in an arch through the air, and slammed her, back first into the ground.
"SCYTHE." Mandalay called out.
"Dormacto Krava Noona Dact Toola." Scythe chanted kicking Muscular in the face.
The kick forced Muscular to let go of her ankle, allowing her to move freely again. Flipping onto her hands, Scythe spun around and pushed off the ground before landing on the opposite side of the trench Muscular's landing had created.
"SHOW ME, YOUR BLOOD." Muscular shouted, charging at Scythe again.
Scythe went running to Muscular, and as the two collided, Scythe performed a gainer flash, forcing Muscular's head back from the impact on the underside of his jaw. The instant both her feet we back on the ground, Scythe lunged forward, slamming her head into Muscular's torso, knocking the wind out of him, and forcing him a few steps back.
"Magna, we have to give him a hand." Spinner said.
Spinner and Magna ran to aid Muscular in his fight, and they both attacked Scythe, simultaneously. Scythe saw the swing from Spinner's weapon, and the thrust of Magna's magnet based weapon, coming at her, and before either could make contact, Scythe jumped into the air, folding in her wings and turning as she slipped between the weapons, before landing on the ground, and kicking Spinner in the underside of his jaw, while also double punching Magna in the gut, as she stood on one foot, with perfect balance.
"Stay out of this. She's my target." Muscular shouted charging at her.
Turning quickly, Scythe performed a gainer flash on Magna before she executed a coin drop combined with a hand combo and a knee to Muscular's chin, completing it with a crescent kick.
Muscular roared in anger and charged at Scythe once more grabbing a fallen tree to use as a weapon.
Scythe ducked under the swing of the uprooted plant, and elbowed Muscular in the solar plexus, before she hit him with a back fist to the face, and did a double spinning back kick knocking him to the ground.
Scythe bent over forward evading another swing from Spinner's amalgamation of weapons, before she spun around and performed an incredible fast, Jab-Cross-Uppercut-Overhead combo knocking the iguana Quirk user to the ground, before twisting around and hitting the oncoming Magna with a Teep-Low Sweep-Ground Pound combo, then returned to fighting off Spinner as he got back up and attacked with a Spinning Elbow-Roundhouse Crescent Kick-Cross-Jab-Cross combo. Magna returned and threw a punch at Scythe, but it was blocked and evaded as Scythe performed a tornado kick on him knocking Magna to the ground.
Jumping high into the air, Scythe flipped back and upon her descent, slammed an axe kick right on Muscular's chest, knocking him out, and ending the fight, as Spinner and Magna ran off, fearing they were next.
(End Song…)
Scythe got up, and placed one hand on Muscular's forehead, and it began to glow, before the muscle fibers of the man's Quirk receded completely, and he was left unconscious.
"Drammo Koravoso?" Scythe asked, looking to Mandalay, and the others.
"Um, would you mind speaking this language please?" Tiger asked. "What the hell just happened?"
Scythe sighed in realizing they couldn't understand her, while in her Dark Argonaut form, and took a deep breath, before the darkness receded and she was back to normal.
"I was asking if everyone was all right." Scythe exclaimed.
"We're fine… but how did you do… that?" Mandalay asked pointing to the unconscious murderer on the ground.
"Well, when you're the champion of a couple deity siblings, you tend to surprise yourself and others with a couple things." Scythe exclaimed before her body froze up, and steam poured out of her skin, and she groaned in pain as she fell to her knees.
"Scythe. What's wrong kitten?" Pixie-Bob asked coming to her side.
"I used that form for too long." Scythe exclaimed forcing herself back up onto her feet. "It takes a toll on the body, and I'm paying the price for over using it."
"Scythe you need to rest. You've done more than you fair share of fighting." Mandalay said.
"No, I can't, not just yet." Scythe exclaimed as the scar over her eye, and on her shoulder and back began to bleed. "The villains are here for Katsuki Bakugo and Pyrrha Nikos." Scythe said before there was a large boom, and the Nomu that had attack her and Ragdoll came flying out of the forest, followed by Midoriya.
"Is everyone here okay?" Midoriya asked gaining their attention.
"We'd be better if you could convince Scythe to stop." Mandalay said.
"I have to go and save them." Scythe exclaimed.
"Relax Scythe." Midoriya said, putting his hands on her shoulders, not caring that he was getting covered in her blood. "You've done enough."
"But I…"
"Scythe…" A familiar little girl's voice called from the opposite end of the forest.
Scythe's eyes widened and her ears perked as she was filled with a new energy, upon recognizing that voice.
"Eri." Scythe said, before running in the direction Eri's voice came from.
"Hey wait." Midoriya called out.
Scythe wasn't listening as she just ran in the direction she heard the voice coming from.
"Scythe… Scythe help." Eri's voice rang out.
"I'm coming Eri."
As Scythe reached the location where the voice was coming from, she slowed to a stop breathing heavily as she looked around.
"Scythe…"
Scythe looked up and her eyes widened when she saw it was coming from a tape recorder.
"Eri?" Scythe questioned, before her mouth and nose were covered by a handkerchief soaked in chloroform and everything went dark for her as she passed out and reverted back into her normal form.
"Sorry about this kid." Skewer said, putting the collar around her neck, and hoisting her over his shoulder. "But I need that money."
Making sure nobody saw him, Skewer ran to where he had been camping out in his car the past couple days, and put her in the back seat, laying down, with a blanket covering her up to her neck.
As soon as that was done, Skewer drove off on the path he took to get there, and turned off onto the highway, pulling out his cell and dialing up a number.
"Is it done?" Overhaul asked after picking the phone up.
"I've got the girl, she's a little beat up, but that's because the League of Villains showed up." Skewer explained.
"Excellent. Don't worry about the damages, and you'll get the other half of your payment as soon as you arrive." Overhaul said before hanging up.
It was another half hour of driving before something happened.
"Why…" Scythe asked sounding tired. "Why are you doing this?"
Skewer looked in the rearview at Scythe, and sighed before his eyes were fully back on the road.
"I need the money. My daughter, Sasha is in the hospital, and I can't afford to pay her medical bills, or get her treatment for her illness unless I do jobs like this." Skewer said.
"I… I can help you… I can heal her… make her better…" Scythe said, before she passed out again.
"Sorry kid." Skewer sighed. "But I can't let this job slip, just because you say you can heal her. I'm sorry."
