A/N Hello everyone! First and foremost I'd like to apologize for my absence. I know it was not okay and I'm not going to sit here and explain why when it would only come off as excuses but I'm here and still posting. I wasn't going to post until I had the next five chapters completely finished but since I've been receiving reviews with requests for more and fear that I dropped this. I thought you'd appreciate this. So here it is. Thanks for all the reviews, pm's, new favorites and follows. I adore you all. Enjoy, until next time.

I do not own anything that has to do with glee.

Danielle groaned as she felt another ache pulse in her head. She had been awake for about ten minutes now and had a migraine.

She leaned her head against the pillow and sighed. Finally! The bane of her existence had been removed from her body and she couldn't be happier.

The only two things that could make this day any better, is half of everything Rachel owns and for all the aches and pains to go away.

She couldn't wait for that joke of a wedding. Then she'd high tail out of the U.S and either go to the coasts of Singapore or the Bahamas. Anything other than where she is currently.

At one point she didn't have to go to such lengths to have the lavish life she's so accustomed to.

Her father had gained millions by the time he was twenty eight thanks to his business smarts and cut throat way of getting what he wanted.

He had screwed over a lot of people in his life time and made it out without a scratch.

When he died, her mother didn't get a dime but Danielle was his princess so he had spoiled her rotten. He left her his business and all his money along with multiple properties.

She was completely set for life. She didn't need anyone or anything which is why she didn't give to much thought as to how exactly a business stood a float.

She figured the men who ran it to begin with, already knew what they were doing so why try to fix something that isn't broken?.

Granted, she could have done with visiting his business more or paid a little more attention when the phone calls were coming in about arising issues but she hadn't. She had only had the business for a grand total of three years before they had to file for bankruptcy.

At the time she hadn't cared because she was still stupidly rich. She begrudgingly admits that her mother had warned her that she needed to actually be proactive within the business and that her inheritance wouldn't last long.

Danielle had laughed in her face and told her she was just jealous because her daddy loved her more. So much so he had left her mother with nothing and Danielle with everything.

Danielle had told her to stay the fuck out her life. That she didn't associate herself with hobos or poor people in general. That she was a waste of space and to get lost.

Her mother looked at her in a way that gave Danielle fearful shivers. It still does just thinking about it even now.

She had told Danielle that when her world came crashing down that she would no longer be there. That she was tired of making excuses for her behavior and that Danielle will learn one day who really cares about her when the dust settles. Once again Danielle laughed in her face and told her good riddance.

Needless to say her mother had been right. Danielle had been a party animal. Splurging and acting as if she was too good for anyone. As if everyone should worship the ground she walks on and boy did they.

However, what she didn't anticipate was when she went on a twenty two thousand dollar shopping spree and her card had been declined. She had tried every card in her wallet but nothing worked.

She went to the bank and was informed that she was dead broke. Over time she lost everything. Her properties, cars, what she refers to as her 'servants', everything!

She had went in search of her mother for help but found her mother had moved. In that moment, Danielle realized she had no idea how to find her.

She had no idea where her mother would choose to go. That she actually didn't know her mother at all nor her mothers side of the family.

Because Danielle was more focused on the ruthless but powerful family of her fathers. She envied their wealth and modeled herself after them but they too turned their backs with their noses in the air.

Never returning her calls and acting as if she didn't exist the moment they were informed she was broke.

Every person she tried after that had laughed in her face or reminded her of how she had treated them all because she thought she was better than them.

Danielle had found herself homeless, friendless and broke to the point of not even having a single penny in her pocket.

She had been furious and on a rampage with her threats. That they would all see and one day regret what they had done to her. Turning on her would be the mistake of their lives.

She then started thinking about her father and all the stories he had told and how he had taught her to manipulate and use people to get what she needed until she didn't need them anymore.

It was difficult at first in the beginning. She had to iron out her skills. Disciplining her manners, the way she walked, the way she talked. Learning to listen for weak points and bluffing her way through their pockets.

Her targets were always men but she wasn't always successful. The realization of how weak her skills were presented itself in the form of few stone cold smart business men and their sharp instincts knowing she was no good, they never bit in to her apple.

She herself took a step back to reevaluate what she was doing wrong that gave away her intentions. She found it and built her foundation of a con artist around it. She sharpened her own instincts and now could sniff out the weak from the strong, minds that is.

Trust fund babies like herself and up and coming new money were as easy to devour as pudding.

As time passed she found herself on vacations out of the country. New expensive clothing of her taste and the idiots eating out her hand until they no longer were useful or when she could tell they began doubting her 'love'.

Which meant she had to move on to a new target before they caught on to how she had used them.

That's how she found herself doing extensive homework on all the employees and business owners of a L.A management firm that had their third office grand opening in New York a few years ago.

Granted, it took forever to weasel her way in. She had to start from the bottom in order to climb her way to the top.

She preyed on the lower guys and their trash paychecks and for her recon when she needed information.

She had been planning this for so long and sometimes laughs to herself when she thinks about Alex and Angela and how they still have no clue that they had been her original targets for quite some time.

Well, Alex was at least. She knew Angela would be able to see through her easily.

So she had to do her homework on her too and play as dumb as a door knob so no one would suspect her.

Which led to her getting a job at the firm thanks to a certain male employee. Than she had to get Alex's attention and though she had been discouraged here and there with how long the process was taking.

She knew that he was the biggest fish she had ever encountered and the amount she could get from him would set her up enough for a good long time.

She counts her lucky stars that she hadn't thrown in the towel because she hooked him one night a year ago and they had been going at it like bunnies for a while.

She worked hard to make him fall in love but by the time she realized that Alex literally had no heart, didn't fall in love and was just as self centered and money hungry as she was, it was too late.

She thought she was done for sure but then Alex made her an offer she couldn't refuse and that's when Rachel became her new target and Rachel was certified gold.

She knew she'd be set for life and that's why she even agreed. So here she is now almost at the finish line of all finish lines and she couldn't wait to receive her medal.

A throat cleared in the doorway to her room and Danielle craned her neck to check than groaned. Rachel stood there stone faced and glaring.

Danielle rolled her eyes, she wasn't fazed. She didn't give a shit what Rachel thought. Soon Rachel Berry would be a distant memory. Rachel stepped into the room uninvited.

"What the hell do you want?" Danielle snapped, her head all kinds of throbbing.

"Well, if you remember correctly. Yesterday at three, we were suppose to head to the court house to get our marriage license but you went into labor."

"So?"

"So I thought since you are incapacitated at the moment. I'd pick them up and have you sign your name and then have Alex and Angela sign as our witnesses since they were already going to be."

"Fine, whatever. Let's get this over with. I don't want to be subjected to your ugly ass face any longer than I have to."

Rachel didn't say anything. She just continued to star Danielle down. The brunette pulled the necessary forms from the thin large brown envelope and pulled out a pen.

She set the papers in front of Danielle. Just as Danielle snatched the pen from her, Rachel spoke.

"Do you feel anything?"

"What?" Danielle snapped. Her gaze shooting to the brunette in annoyed confusion.

"Do you feel anything? You know, about the baby you just gave birth to, our son?"

"Ppfffttt! Are you kidding?"

"No, actually. I'm being serious."

"Does it look like I care?" Danielle rolled her eyes leaning forward to sign again.

"Are you kidding? You gave birth to a human being. Your blood relation and you feel nothing?!"

"Is that suppose to make me squirm? Is this the part where I'm expected to cry and get all weepy because I finally got that little shit out of me? Because guess what, Frodo? I don't. Infact, I'm still hoping he didn't actually make it. Don't need him looking for me later for anything."

"Your disgusting!"

"And your fucking delusional if you think anything that comes from you could be considered something near human! Hell, who knows maybe it's not a boy but a monstrosity like you!" Danielle smirked darkly as she saw the tears beginning to well in Rachel's eyes.

"My son is beautiful and precious and nothing you say or do will change th-"

"Keep telling yourself that you revolting ogre. Hopefully, that mutated fugly dog I just pushed out will kick the can soon. We don't need any more of your kind around. It's bad enough your still here." Danielle sneered as she signed her name viciously and shoved the papers off the serving table of her bed watching as they floated to the floor and laughed darkly as a silently crying Rachel carfully picked up the papers.

Rachel then wiped her tears and began leaving the room as a sob escaped her throat, Danielle cackling behind her.

As soon as Rachel was out the door, she shut the room door behind her. She took a deep breath and pulled her phone from her breast pocket and looked down with a smirk.

She stopped the live video recording and wiped her eyes. She waited until she walked a good distance and played the video back.

She laughed as every facial expression and every word Danielle said was crystal clear.

After the video was done playing, she dialed a number and held the phone to her ear. It rang twice before the person answered.

"Hey, it's me. I got the next clip." Rachel said with a smug smirk.

"Oh my god, Quinn. He's so precious." Alison gushed.

"Isn't he?" Quinn spoke with adoring, loving eyes aimed solely on her son.

The crew had arrived thirty minutes ago. Rachel had stepped out to speak with Michael and Alison to go over plans earlier.

Tim, Alicia and Leo have already met Asher and they all cooed over him. Alison had just come back two minutes ago. The red head was head over heels already.

"You guys got a little heartbreaker on your hands." Alison whispered.

"Yes, we do."

"Add the fact that your daughter looks like she fell from heaven and you guys are definitely going to have your hands full."

"Yes, we are." Quinn giggled.

Both women had a gown, mask and gloved covered hands in the side holes giving the baby feather light touches. Neither of them could get enough.

"Speaking of Beth, where is she?"

"Marisol went to pick her up for me. We didn't want to risk the chance of leaving and getting spotted. That could possibly lead to where we are getting out and we want to keep this a private as possible. She's going to keep Beth just for tonight. With that being said, we're being moved to a larger room on another floor. Rachel doesn't want our son anywhere near Danielle and should Alex and Angela for some reason stop in to speak to Danielle. She doesn't want to risk them finding us here. So that way we can walk around without fear. We will be staying here at the hospital for the remainder of Asher's recovery. Jade's already stopping by my place as we speak to pick up clothing for me and Beth. She, my mom, dad and Beth aren't coming until we're moved to the next floor. We don't want to put the kids in jeopardy. It's safer this way. We also considered the fact that once Danielle is released Rachel will have to continue on doing what she's doing and she doesn't want Asher to ever be alone and neither do I. Beth will be staying with my sister and mother because I don't want her sleeping in the hospital. She will visit during the day with every one else but I will be here round the clock with our boy."

"Jade's coming?" Alison asks. Her eyes shining at the prospect.

"That's all you heard isn't?" Quinn asked with a knowing smirk. Rachel already filling her in on Alison's little crush on her sister.

"No, of course not! I-I just-It wasn't-I-"

"It's okay, Al. I'm only teasing." Quinn said with affection in her tone.

"..Your not upset.. with me?" Alison asked hesitantly.

"Why would I be upset?"

"Well.. She's your sister."

"Yes, she is but if there's anyone I wouldn't mind having interest in her, is you."

"Thanks." Alison replied in surprise.

"You don't need to thank me. Jade's a grown woman. I don't honestly know if she's into the same sex because there's still so much I don't know about her. We've been apart for years but if there is a chance she'd be interested, I'd be more than happy if you two went for it."

"Really?"

"Yes, really! You have become one of my best friends and I can't tell you how safe I feel knowing that you'd be there for her and vice versa. Your friendship is very important to me."

"Aww, stop it your going to make me cry."

Quinn giggled she walked around the incubator and pulled Alison into a hug."You have shown me what an incredible friend and person you are when Rachel needed it most. I could only imagine how you would treat the person your actually in love with. Not saying that you are but I would never worry about my sister if she was in your hands."

"That means a lot to me, Quinn. Your approval means so much."

"I'm happy it does. Now, all you have to do is get the girl." Quinn said with a giggle causing Alison to chuckle.

Just then Rachel walked in beaming in her own gown and mask. "What's going on here?"

"Oh nothing, just giving this goofball some reassurance and my blessing to chase my crazy sister." Quinn replied with a smile.

"Cool. I thought they'd make a cute couple." Rachel said with a warm smile.

"hot! You mean hot couple." Alison corrected smugly.

"Not hotter than Quinn and I but a close second." Rachel replied with arrogance.

"Keep dreaming, Berry." Alison replied in her own arrogance.

"Whatever helps you sleep at night, Waters."

"Okay, you to weapons down." Quinn spoke up. She could already see where this conversation was going.

"For now." Rachel smirked.

"For now." Alison nodded. "Only because I haven't gotten the woman.. yet."

"True." Rachel agreed.

"So? Did it work?" Alison asked.

Rachel's smirk was devious. "Like a charm."

"Did what work?" Quinn asked in confusion.

Rachel didn't respond she just handed the envelope to Quinn. The blonde took it and began reading. Slowly her features brighten, her eyes sparkling as they read over the words on the paper.

She had to bite her lip to keep in her squeal. "Rachel Berry if there was not an audience present I would mount you right now."

"Ew." Alison spoke up but Quinn nor Rachel cared. Their minds completely in the gutter.

"How did you get her to sign this?" Quinn asked in awe.

"Misdirection and false tears." Rachel replied with a casual shrug but was dripping in smugness.

"Yes, but how?" Quinn asked in disbelief.

"Before handing her the papers, I told her what it was and then when she went to sign I distracted her with questions that I knew would either piss her off or cause her to be cruel, all while having my phone in my breast pocket recording everything so it's proof that she was sound of mind when she signed it." Rachel replied with a smirk.

"You are so hot right now." Quinn whispered.

"That's genius." Alison spoke in awe.

"Yeah, well I figured I'd get it taken care of now instead of waiting for her to try anything later."

"So, what's left now? This is taken care of and there's nothing else really holding you back." Alison asked.

"That may be true but like I said before, I want to take them all down in one go. I also want to make sure that once their down they stay down. I don't want any of them able to stand back up. So, the next plan of action will be starting in two days. I have almost everything in order and I have one of the second to last clips I needed. Now it's just the testimonies to get out of the way. Then the wedding and after that, we'll all be completely safe to be out and open. Granted, there will be the trial but.. No more hiding and my family we'll finally be able to come home permanently where you belong." Rachel spoke with a smile and relief watery eyes.

Quinn wasn't fairing any better. The blonde rounded the incubator and pulled the brunette in to a searing kiss of promise. Alison took that as her cue to slip out of the room and give them privacy.

The two parted from the kiss with loving eyes. "I love you, Rachel Berry."

"I love you too, Quinn Fabray."

The blonde took a deep breath nervous to bring up the topic but since Rachel was in such a good mood she had to broach it. It has been two days since the phone call and Rachel's parents have been waiting on pins and needles. All of them giving Rachel the time she had requested to wrap her head around everything.

"Rae?"

"Yes, love?"

"Have you.." Quinn took a breath again.

"Yes?" Rachel asked with slight concern.

"Have you given any thought about your parents?"

Quinn winced when she saw Rachel demeanor shift. The brunette glanced away with a pout. Her brow furrowed in thought.

You could see conflict written in her features. It's not that she didn't want to see them. In all honesty, Rachel was ecstatic to even know she had the ability to do such a thing.

An ability she didn't have not even last week. The problem wasn't if she wanted to or not. The problem was the reasoning behind their lost of contact.

She was anxious and scared. Quinn told her she knew everything that happened, it would be in Rachel's best interest to hear the truth from them.

"Y-Yes.. I have." Rachel replied quietly.

"How do you feel?"

"Nervous. Terrified. Anxious and confused. I-I-I want to kn-know but I'm scared that what I believe in my heart could be true but my head tells me it's not. That I know my parents but what if I'm wrong and what I believe in my heart is just a fantasy. I know you've told me that there is a good reason but what if that reason isn't what I believe is good enough? What if I see them again only to lose them again? I don't think I could take that rejection or hate myself for getting upset and rejecting them instead. What if-"

"You won't." Quinn spoke firmly but still soft enough to be gentle.

"How do you know?"

"Because I know you, baby.. I know your heart and if your heart is thinking what I'm thinking it is then it's right and it will hold on tight after the truth is told."

"And if your wrong?"

"Than you can hate me but I will stand by your side with whatever decision you make because you along with our children are my number one priority."

Rachel's tears had welled and spilled over during Quinn's little speech. "God I love you so much."

"I love you, too and I want you to know you don't have to do this alone. If you want or need me there, than I'm there. No questions asked. If you get your answer and it's not good enough for you. We'll walk away together. Everything in this life, for the rest of our lives.. Whatever decisions or wreckage we have to make or navigate through will always be done together."

"Why are you so perfect?"

"Not perfect, baby, just in love with you."

"Semantics, love."

"Call it what you will but Rachel.. No matter what happens, I'm here. So don't be afraid. Don't shut me out. Just let me face it with you and I promise if you do I will never falter."

"...Okay.."

"Okay?"

"Okay, you can.." Rachel took a deep fearful breath. "You can call them and t-tell them we'll stop in tomorrow after Asher's moved to a different floor."

Quinn smiled gently and kissed the brunette's forehead tenderly. "You are brave and strong, you know that?"

"I don't feel like it."

"But you are and I'm so proud of you for all that your doing and for taking this step with your parents."

"And I'm so grateful for you being here with me through everything. Especially, trusting me and being patient. I know it's not ideal-"

"Ideal doesn't matter to me. As long as I get this little but tight knit family in end then I'd wait an eternity if I had to."

"God, you and your words, love. Your like my own personal poet."

"I'll be anything you need me to be, baby and I like to believe you'd be the same."

"Like you wouldn't believe, love. Like you wouldn't believe." Rachel replied with affection before pulling the blonde in for a passionate kiss that left them breathless.

The two didn't know what tomorrow would bring but they knew as long as the other was there, they could handle anything.

Rachel sat in the passenger seat eyes trained out the window twisting her fingers nervously in her lap.

Today was the day. She was going to meet her parents again for the first time in six years.

It was two days later than expected because the situation of moving Asher took a little longer than expected but thankfully her son was safe on another floor away from Danielle.

Rachel had this irrational fear that Danielle would kidnap her son and disappear just to hurt her. She didn't want to take any chances.

Alison agreed to stay with him along with the rest of the crew minus Tim who was currently driving them. They swore no one was getting anywhere near baby Berry without a fight.

Quinn was sat next to her allowing Rachel to have time in her thoughts.

Rachel greatly appreciated it. She didn't want Quinn to think she was shutting her out because she wasn't but her brain had been on over drive since leaving the hospital and knowing where they were headed wasn't helping.

In a few minutes time she'd be in front of her parents. She couldn't believe it. She kept pinching herself to make sure she wasn't dreaming. That this was really happening.

The brunette had thought and dreamed about this moment for so long and now that it was coming to fruition she was freaking out.

She felt underdressed, unprepared and self conscious. What if they didn't like her? Like who she is now, what if they didn't like her?

That thought has been circling her mind for the last few days. She tried to stop it but it wouldn't. She felt unworthy in a way and was terrified this would be a mistake.

The brunette was pulled from her musings when the town car pulled onto a very familiar street. Nostalgia hit hard and Rachel felt her stomach flutter as she remembered her beginnings. When she starred on Broadway all those years ago. Before the Hollywood fame.

Than suddenly from nostalgia confusion hit as the town car pulled to the curb directly across from her old apartment. Rachel turned to Quinn questioningly but Quinn was already staring back at her with understanding eyes.

"I told you, baby.. Your going to need to hear this." Quinn spoke softly as she cupped the brunette's cheek caressing it softly.

"Y-You'll be here right.." Rachel asked in a small fearful tone.

"Every step of the way, baby." Quinn assured.

"No matter what happens?"

"No matter what happens."

Rachel nodded but sat unmoving.

"I'm going to give you a few minutes alone. I'll be at the top of the steps waiting for you. If you don't come in ten minutes. I'll get back in this car and we'll go back to our son and never come back here again, okay?"

Rachel's breathing was labored as fear kept her rooted to her seat. She nodded her understanding. Quinn kissed her cheek than exited the car.

Quinn was worried Rachel would change her mind but ultimately this was Rachel's decision. She couldn't force it. Whether they reconciled or not Rachel was Quinn's priority and nothing or no one would change that.

Quinn reached the top of the steps and waited patiently with her hands stuff in her peacoat pockets.

All of Rachel's parents were waiting in the living room anxiously. Shelby was pacing the floor, Hiram kept rearranging and organizing whatever was in front of him and, Leroy kept sitting than standing with Russell leaning against the fire place calmly watching all three of his friends/family slowly lose what little self control they had.

"What is taking so long? They should be here by now." Shelby spoke in worry.

"Maybe they're stuck in traffic." Russell suggested.

"Or she changed her mind." Hiram added in fear.

"Oh god please no." Shelby whimpered.

"I'm sure they'll be here." Leroy tried to reason.

"How can you be so sure?" Hiram whimpered.

"Because Quinn would have texted me by now to tell me." Leroy replied.

"That's true." Russell agreed.

"This is so frustrating. I'm not patient enough for this." Shelby shook her head in misery.

"Rachel got that from you, you know." Hiram followed.

"Pot meet kettle?" Leroy said with a smile.

"I am not impatient!" Hiram huffed indignantly.

Nine minutes. Nine minutes since Quinn left the car and she was beginning to think Rachel wasn't going to go through with it. She was losing steam.

Rachel was sat in the car as all her thoughts attacked her. All her worries were suffocating her. She wasn't sure if she could do this.

The brunette turned her gaze to the gorgeous blonde waiting on the steps. It only took her a second for her resolve to strengthen just at the sight of Quinn. Quinn her warrior who took care of their daughter, who kept her from drowning in her own depression and, who helped rebuild who she is. Now because of Quinn she was Rachel Berry again and she knew in that moment all she needed was Quinn.

Rachel gripped the door handle eyes still trained on Quinn. That was her aide propelling her forward. All she had to do was keep her eyes on her and she'd get to the door. She gripped the door handle and step one foot down on the pavement.

Quinn's eyes widened a fraction in surprise than a relieved/assuring smile blossomed on her face. She watched her fiancé step out of the car and stare up at her nervously.

Rachel began making her way toward her. Each step she took felt like a bomb going off in her ears. Quinn held out her hand to her approaching fiancé. Rachel took hold of it immediately. They stood in front of each other gazing in to one another's eyes in silence.

"Together?" Rachel asked with need.

"Always, baby." Quinn replied with a smile.

The two turned to the door. Quinn waited patiently for Rachel to get her bearings.

"If it doesn't work out we can leave, right?" Rachel asked.

"Right."

"And you won't be disappointed in me, right?"

"Right."

"And you'll be there even if I spiral a little, right?"

"Right."

"..Okay.."

"Okay."

They stood in silence once more staring at the door. It took Rachel another seven minutes before she lifted a shaky hand to ring the doorbell.

All the parents in the living room froze when the doorbell resounded. All eyes staring towards the hallway that led to the front door. They all were unknowingly experiencing blood rushing to their ears and tremors hitting their bodies uncontrollably.

"I-I'll go.. That way she doesn't feel bombarded." Leroy spoke up.

Hiram and Shelby nodded in agreement. They couldn't move even if they wanted to. They couldn't even vocalize their agreement. They watched as Leroy stood from the couch and walked through the archway that led out of the living room.

Six years.. Six long painful years had gone by without Rachel. They had seen her face, experienced her radiant smile and, heard her melodious laugh but only on the cover of magazines, billboards and through a television screen. Never the up close and personal real deal. They had cried, threw fits of vocalized anger and crumbled under the weight of possibly never ever being allowed the blessing of being in their one and only childs life.

But in this moment. On this day. Thanks to a stunning blonde mother with a heart of gold, they were about to be reunited with their baby.

"Maybe they're not home." Rachel spoke up as her fight or flight response kicked in.

"They're here." Quinn replied calmly as she held firm to Rachel's hand knowing the brunette was about to bolt.

"How can you be sure?"

"Because I texted them before we left."

"Yes but maybe they-" Before Rachel could say another word, the lock to the front door clicked and the knob was turned and the door opened.

Rachel took in a sharp breath of surprise before all the breath was stolen from her lungs as the tall hulky figure of her father Leroy stood before her.

Rachel's eyes were wide and owlish. Leroy was staring down at her with hypnotized eyes, rapidly welling with tears.

"Babygirl.." Leroy whispered out with trembling lips.

"D-Dad?.." Rachel whispered in breathless awe.
