Caffeine, caffeine always makes things better. Ravana tells herself after her third cup in the last hour. The buzz in the back of her mind drowns out the inconsistent stream of uncertain thoughts that try to demand her attention.

Ravana has been walking aimlessly. She started out by trying to check on all the communication stations to make sure they were being productive, but it soon became a cover story to hit all the cafeterias for her next dosage of caffeine.

Her comm beeped at her. Ravana sighed and unclipped it from her belt. "Yes?"

"Report to the briefing room, immediately," A man's voice said.

"Acknowledged." Ravana turned around and headed to the nearest elevator. She threw her cup away the first chance she got. On her way she passed windows that looked into the hangar. Her heart ached to leave. She was done, done with all of it. The hard part wasn't leaving, it was leaving with a pulse.

Ravana stopped. She pressed against the glass. There, walking out of the bay, was FN-2187, or someone who looked exactly like him. He was wearing an officer's uniform and was accompanied by another officer with black curly hair. Ravana blinks to make sure she wasn't imagining anything. Nope, still there. They enter an elevator and Ravana watches as it closes. Ravana leans back from the glass.

Her comm beeping drew her out of her trance. She's losing her mind. FN-2187 is lightyears away with the Resistance. She was just seeing things. Ravana responds to the reminder of the meeting and jogs to the end of the hall.

Ravana swiped her card across the screen and stepped onto the elevator. She entered the meeting room minutes later. Everyone else was already there. Ravana took a seat on Kylo's right side; where she always sat. She fixed her gaze to the middle of the table and cleared her face of all emotion.

Hux cleared his throat and stood. "I called this meeting to discuss the First Oder's next move."

"What next move?" Kylo asked.

"The execution, of course."

Ravana shifted her weight in the chair and turned her head to look at Hux. Out of the corner of her eye she watched for Kylo's reaction, but she got none.

"What about it?" Kylo asked.

"We should get it over with as soon as possible," Dayton said. Ravana looked across the table at him.

"I hate to admit it," Ravana says carefully. "But I agree with Dayton. If we're going to do it, we better get it over with now before the Resistance makes a daring rescue."

Whose side are you on? Kylo glares at her.

Ravana snaps her head at him and glares back. Do tell, cause the line is becoming increasingly blurry.

Hux clears his throat uncomfortably. "Is there something you'd like to share?" He asks both of them. When neither reply he continues. "I had the same thought as Ravana Ren, which is why the execution will take place tomorrow." Kylo looks up at him, surprise flashing across his face before settling back to cold and uncaring. "The knights need to report to the control twenty minutes before the event is broadcast."

Ravana waits for Kylo to do something, to say something, but he just sits in silence.

A screeching enters Ravana's mind. "Ah!" Ravana doubles over out of her chair. She curls into herself; hugging her knees trying to block the terrible sound. The screeching stopped, but not from her efforts. All that's left is a faint whisper.

Help.

Ravana knows that voice. Rey, she's in trouble. Ravana gets up from the floor. Kylo is already gone from his chair and out the door. Ravana moves to the door. Dayton steps in her way.

"Where do you think you're going?" Ravana tries to brush past him, but he grips her upper arm.

"Move." She fixes him with a deadly glare.

"Now, Ravana, you have to choose now."

Ravana searches his eyes, then looks out the door. Rey's desperate cry for help echoes through her mind, but Dayton's shiny lightsaber rests firmly in his hand.

Ben!

The second call is more panicked than the first. If Rey can reach her through the force, then that means she's broken out, or someone's inside. Elia has access to that floor, and guess who didn't show up.

"Move," Ravana growls a second time.

Dayton nods and steps out of the way. "Watch your back," he calls as she leaves.

Ravana bolts down the hall and bursts through the nearest door leading to the stairwell. In one swift motion Ravana is over the safety rail and is freefalling through the air. Using the force she slows herself down enough to take hold of a railing about halfway down.

Even with the force, her shoulder pops out of place. Ravana crawls over the top and puts her shoulder back into place. "Bad decisions." Ravana winces. She digs out her pass key and opens the door to the containment floor.

Ravana knew the way to Rey's cell, but even if she didn't, the sound of clashing lightsabers would've pointed her in the right direction.

From the door Ravana could see the scene in all its glory. Kylo is locked in battle with, not Elia, but Brai. Behind the two is an unconscious Rey, who has a wound across her forehead. Ravana waits for her chest to rise, and sighs in relief when it does.

Ravana unclips one lightsaber and ignites it. Brai hasn't noticed her, but Kylo has. Ravana runs with her lightsaber horizontal to her waist. Kylo uses the force and Brai flies backward. His middle meets her lightsaber and his two halves thump to the ground.

Ravana stops and gapes at Brai's lifeless body. "Welp, that wasn't my original plan, but this works, too." She extinguishes her lightsaber and clips it back to her belt. Kylo is kneeling next to Rey; trying to wake her up.

"I guess I'll take care of the body then." Ravana starts with the legs and drags them to the first cleaning closet she can find. She opens the vent and stores him up there. The top half she didn't care enough, so it got tossed in the garbage compactor. Ravana smirks to herself. Try and put him back together now.

Ravana didn't know how to feel about his death. He had never been outright murderous to her like Dayton, and hadn't tried to manipulate her like Elia, but he had sided with them all the same. He tried to kill Rey and he hadn't gone out of his way to be nice to her. He had kept mostly to himself, which might be the one of the reasons Snoke hadn't killed him off like some of the other Knights.

"All done," Ravana says, walking back into the containment unit. "And I even erased the security footage. Hux can't nail us for it, yet."

Kylo steps back from Rey, who's fully awake and back on her feet. "Good work."

Ravana looks between the two. "Did I interrupt something?"

"No," Rey says while turning red. Ravana shrugs, walks over to the metal bed and sits down.

"What are you doing?" Kylo narrows his eyes at her.

"I know this is going to be a nice, long story, so I thought I'd get comfortable." She crosses her arms and smirks. "Go on."

"Ben, we can't-"

Kylo holds up a hand. "Why are you siding with me?"

"I want out; you're my fastest ticket. The fact that Dayton wants me dead also doesn't hurt. I'm with you, whether you like it or not."

Kylo glances at Rey. She shrugs. "People have help me for less." She walks over and sits next to Ravana. "Now, let's hear the plan."
