The Reagans assumed everything was just about back to normal that Sunday morning. The kids got up and helped cook breakfast before getting dressed for church with no complaints. They were excited to get the morning going so that they could go to Frank's for Sunday dinner. They'd had a wonderful night of watching movies together and just relaxing as a family. It was for these reasons that Danny and Linda were at a complete loss when Millie had an all out panic attack as they parked the Jeep and walked toward the front door of the church.

"What is the matter?" Danny asked he noticed her stop abruptly and nearly start hyperventilating. "What is it?" The poor kid had gone absolute pale.

"Millie, sweetie, what's wrong?" Linda asked as she knelt down in front of her on the sidewalk.

"I don't want to go back! I don't want to go back! It was bad!"

"To church?" Danny was utterly confused. "They're not going to crowd around you today and Father O'Reilly won't say anything either to make them look at you. We'll just slip in the back, sit with Grandpa, and leave."

"Mil, want us to go find Grandpa and Pop," Jack offered.

"Please," Danny said, glancing up at the boys.

"There's danger! He's here!" she sobbed as she grabbed Danny and Linda's hands and tried to pull them back toward the Jeep. "Please, let's go now!"

"Who, Millie? Who's here?"

Henry and Frank came flying out of the church as soon as Jack and Sean got inside.

"Grandpa! He's here!" Millie said as Frank rushed over, reached down, and wrapped her in his huge arms.

"Shhhhh!" he soothed as he walked toward the Jeep with her, opposite of the church. He had a feeling if going toward the church was causing her panic, going away from it may calm her down. "It's ok. I got you." After a few minutes, Frank sat her down on the hood of the Jeep so that he could look at her face. He pulled out his handkerchief and wiped her eyes. "Now. Tell me what's wrong."
"He's here, Grandpa. That's the mean man's car. He's back," she hiccupped as she pointed to a car parked on the curb next to the church.

Frank turned around and looked at the car parked next to the church. It was the same model as the car Dino had used to kidnap her. No wonder she was in full meltdown mode.

"No, no, no, Peanut," Henry assured her. "That's Hans Ellinger's car. He had a hip replacement and his son brought him today. He parked close to the door so he wouldn't have to walk from the parking lot."

"It's not the bad man," Danny promised. "He's locked up in jail. He's not coming back. You're safe."

"Are you sure?"
"Promise. He's not going anywhere. Grandpa made sure he was locked up tight in jail."

Millie looked to Frank. "True. He's not going anywhere. You don't have to worry about him. Aunt Erin's friend is going to make sure that he stays locked up for a long, long time."

"How about you and me go on back to Grandpa's and start cooking?" Linda offered. "We'll have lunch ready when Mass is over."
"No. It's ok," Millie said, wiping her eyes, trying to regain her composure. "Let's go to church."

"That's my girl," Frank encouraged as he picked her up off the hood and stood her in the parking lot.

"You sure?" Danny asked as he knelt in front of her.

"I'm sure. Let's go." Millie grabbed Danny's hand and Frank's hand, steeled herself, and marched her way back to the church.

Henry put his arm around a very concerned Linda as they followed Millie, Danny, and Frank. "I know you want to scoop her up and take her away, but Millie just took a huge step."

"You think so, Pop?"

"I know so. She got knocked down by something that absolutely scared her to death, and she got back up. And she made the decision by herself to not let it stop her from getting back to regular life. Oh, my great-granddaughter is a Reagan through and through."

"Ready?" Danny asked as Frank opened the door to the church.

Millie took a deep breath. "Ready."

Frank gave her a wink and a nod as they walked inside and slid into the pew with the rest of the family. Millie sat up straight with her eyes glued to the priest. The Reagans looked on proudly, knowing what a big step it was for her to be back in public and not be cowered behind a member of the family. Only Danny knew the truth as she squeezed his hand tightly. He could feel her shaking slightly as she attempted to calm herself down. He handed her a piece of bubblegum and wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

"I'm proud of you," he whispered as Millie gave him a small smile and relaxed a small bit.

That afternoon, the Reagans had lunch and exchanged war stories from their first week back at work.

Danny and Baez had, among many other things, successfully foiled an assassination attempt on a foreign dignitary that was visiting New York. Jamie and Eddie had unexpectedly rescued an elderly man and his dog from a burning building.

"Sounds like the grownups have had a rough week. Millie, Jack, Nicki, Sean… you're on dish duty," Henry smiled as he pointed toward the kitchen.

"Ok, Pop," they all agreed as they got up and took their plates to the kitchen.

"Hey, Nic, close the door, will you?"

"Sure, Uncle Danny."

When the kids were gone, the adults all looked to Erin. "What's the word from the DA's office on the prosecution of Millie's case?" Frank asked.

"We're on it, Dad."
"On it enough to get all of them?"
"You mean the ones that the NYPD didn't kill?"
"I mean all of them. Anybody that had anything to do with it. I want them all charged equally and I want all of them in prison for life."

"I don't know if that's…" Erin caught his glance as he looked up over his glasses. This wasn't a request or even a suggestion. It was a demand from the highest level. "I'll pass along the message. I do know they would like for you to bring in Millie to do an identification."
"Oh I don't think that's a good idea," Linda countered. "We're almost getting back to normal, this morning's events withstanding. I don't think it's a good idea to trigger anything by making her see them again."
"We could do it with just pictures and not them in person."

"No."
Danny sat and thought for a minute. "Hang on, Babe. What if we do show her mugshots? That way she will know for certain they are in jail. It might put her mind at ease."

"I just don't think it's a good idea. Is it necessary for the case?"
"I mean, probably not for Dino since she was found in his custody, but for some of the other players that weren't in the house when they found her, it might be."
"Henry, what do you think?"

"She can handle it. She's strong. And if she sees them in jail, it may put her mind at ease that they aren't lying in wait somewhere around the city."

Linda looked to Frank. "What do you think?"
"With me and Danny there… I think she can do it. And if it ensures all of those animals stay behind bars, I want her to do it."

Jack, Sean, and Nicki stuck their head back through the kitchen door into the dining room. "Dishes are clean. We good to go upstairs and play video games?"

"Sure," Henry smiled. "You've got one hour."
They all took off running as Millie stuck her head through the door. "Can I come back now?"

"You sure can," Frank smiled.

"Come here, Mil," Danny said as he pulled out her chair. "We want to talk to you about something."
"Did I do something wrong?"
"No," he laughed. "We need your help."

"Ok." Millie made her way around the table and took a seat between Danny and Frank. "What do I got to do?"
"How do you feel about going down to the police station with me and Grandpa?"

"Why?"

"Well, all those bad men are in jail. If you can go with us and look through some pictures and pick out all of those men that were in the house and kept you from coming home, we can make sure they stay in jail for a long, long, long time."

Millie sat deep in thought for a minute. "Mr. Uncle Jamie, will you be there?"

Jamie shifted in his seat and rested his chin on his hand. "Absolutely, Cricket. If you want me there, I'll be there."

"Ok."
The following Tuesday, Frank and Jim came to spring Millie from school a few minutes early so that they could walk over to the 5-4 where Danny was waiting on them.

Frank and Jim were greeted at the door by Officer Whittman. "Jimmy!" he bellowed when he saw Jim walk in. He immediately reeled it in and snapped to attention when he saw Frank. "Sorry. Hi Commissioner."
"Not Commissioner today," Frank smiled. "Just Grandpa. I need to check out Millie."
"She's a good kid. We've enjoyed her."

"Thank you."

Frank made his way into the office and smiled at the secretary. "Hi. I'm Frank Reagan. I need to check out Millie Reagan, please."

"Ok."
Grace made her way into the office when she heard Frank's voice. "Hi, Commissioner."

"Hey, Grace. I'm grabbing Millie for the afternoon. Can we talk for just a second?"
"Absolutely. Step into my office." Frank followed Grace into her office. "What can I do for you?"

"I just wanted to give you a heads up. We're taking Millie to meet with the DA for a photo line up today. Linda's afraid it's going to trigger lots of unpleasant memories and mess up all the progress she's made."

"I can understand that. Would it help if I stayed late and you swing back by after you finish?"

"No. No, you don't have to do that. Danny just wanted me to give you a heads up… and see if you'd check in on her in the morning."
"Of course," Grace smiled.

"Thank you for your work."
"You too, Commissioner." Grace led him back out to the main office.

"Now, what do I do?"
"If you'll sign her out here with Mrs. Mayberry, I'll go get her."

"Thanks." Frank looked to Mrs. Mayberry. "What do I do? I never came and checked one out. I only ever came to visit the principal… because of my oldest."
Jim chuckled as did Mrs. Mayberry.

"Hi, Mrs. Trotter."

"Hey, Mrs. Patton! We were just about to sit down and have a snack. Would you like some apple slices and caramel?"

"Oooh that does sound good. Maybe next time. May I have Millie Reagan to check out, please?"

"You sure can. Millie, can you grab your backpack and jacket? I'll put your snack in a bag and you can take it with you."

"Yes ma'am."

Millie packed her stuff away and walked over to where Grace was waiting. Mrs. Trotter hurried over and handed Millie her snack bag as they started out. "Have a good afternoon. We'll see you tomorrow."

"Oh, Mrs. Trotter, about that. Can I borrow Millie first thing in the morning? I sure could use her help."

Mrs. Trotter caught Grace's eye. "You sure can. Millie, are you good to help out Mrs. Patton before you come to class?"
"Yes ma'am."

"Awesome. Take all the time you need and we'll see you when you get here. If you call me when you finish, I'll send Coach Murray to bring you down." Millie smiled and nodded. She loved Coach Murray.

Grace walked Millie back to the office where Jim and Frank were waiting. "Grandpa!"

"Hey, Granddaughter!"

"Hi, Mr. Jim!"
"Hey, Mil. Ready to roll?"
Frank grabbed her hand as they made their way across the street. "Whatcha got to eat?"
"Apples and caramel. It's pretty good. I like it better than the carrots… but not as good as the grapes and pineapples."

Danny was waiting the minute they walked inside. "There's my girl!" he smiled as Millie ran up to him and gave him a hug. "You ready?"

She looked to Jim and Frank. "She's ready," Frank said, with a wink as Jim nodded in the background.

They made their way over to the DA's office where they met Jamie outside on the steps. "You came!" Millie smiled as she saw both Jamie and Eddie.

"Of course. Do your thing, Cricket. We've got your back."

Devon Callamaine, attorney for most members of the BSB, walked up as the Reagan clan patiently waited for Tyler Lowe, the DA's top choice for Millie's case.

"Seriously? You brought the entire cavalry?" Devon smirked as Erin hurried from her office to go meet the family.

"She's six, Devon. She can't really drive herself."
"But really? The commissioner, a detective and two beat cops? It's not even a line-up. It's just an id off mug shots."
"Yeah. Because your clients kept a CHILD locked up in a closet for two weeks and starved her half to death. Pardon me if I think Millie deserves all the support she gets."

"You know this lineup will never hold up. She is, as you say, only six."
"We'll see about that," Tyler said as he breezed by the two of them. "Hi Millie Reagan. Ready to go look at some pictures with me?"
"Yes sir," Millie answered. Tyler was no nonsense, but he had a kind face and Millie trusted him.

"Um, you can all wait out here," Devon said. "We don't need you influencing."
"I will be going with her," Frank said, point blankly as he never broke stride and walked right into the room. "Granddaughter, I'm going to be sitting right here behind you. Ok?"
"Ok, Grandpa," Millie answered as she and Tyler took a seat at the table, across from Devon.

"Now Millie, I want you to look through these pictures and see if you recognize anybody and tell me where you recognize them from."
Millie carefully studied each picture. Danny, Jamie, Jim, Erin, and Eddie all watched through the observation glass, each one holding their breath as she moved the pictures around as if she were playing a memory match game.

"All of these, Mr. Tyler."
"And how do you know these guys, Millie?"
"They were the people that kept me in that awful house away from Mr. Uncle Danny and Mrs. Aunt Linda."

Tyler could not have been better. For him to be a shark in the courtroom, he was fantastic with kids. It probably did not hurt at all that Frank was also in the room. He kept quiet, but was, as always, a big presence.

"And which one took you from school?"

Millie pointed to Dino. "This guy. His name was Dino. He was a mean man. He hit Mrs. Carolyn and made me ride in the trunk and took me inside where all the rest of them were. And that was the first time that guy skinny guy Tony locked me in the closet. Mr. Tyler, you're missing Vito and Tony. Where are Vito and Tony's pictures, Grandpa? Does that mean they are still out there?"

"Don't worry about Vito and Tony," Frank said as he slid his chair up to the table beside Millie. Mr. Jim took care of Vito and Tony. They aren't ever coming back. They're in a deep, dark jail."

"What's that about?" Erin asked.

"She doesn't have to worry about Vito and Tony," Jim said dryly.

"Why?"

"SWAT put a bullet in both of them. They left in body bags."

"Oh."

Tyler looked to Millie who was still a little shaky. "Thanks, Millie. You did good."

Devon got up to leave and motioned for Tyler to follow him out. "Just know, we will challenge that lineup."
"How? She picked out every single member of the BSB without hesitation."
"She's six."
"Yeah. And they ripped her from school, put her in the trunk of a car, and then kept her locked in a closet. Pretty sure that made an impression."

"We'll see you in court."
"Ok," Tyler said as he walked back into the conference room. "I think we've got what we need. Thanks for coming down today."
"Millie has a question," Frank said, with obvious concern etched on his face.

Tyler gave him a strange look as he sat back down. "What's that, Millie?"

"Where are the girl pictures?" she asked.

"What girls?" Tyler looked confused. This was the first he was hearing of any females. "There were girls there?"

"Yes sir. There was two. They looked the same. I got them mixed up a lot. They had long black hair. It was real straight. And they wore real tight dresses, not like the kind Mrs. Aunt Linda wears. And they always had on high heel shoes because I could hear them click clack from inside the closet. And one of them wore animal fur coats a lot."
"Do you know their names?" Tyler asked.

"Nadia. She was the nice one. She would let me come out sometimes and sit with her. The other one was Natasha. She was mean. She's the one that hit me. She had pointy fingernails and she made my arms bleed when she would squeeze them like this." Millie gripped Tyler's arms and squeezed his biceps. "Nadia told her it wasn't nice to do stuff like that."

"Can I look at your arms?" Tyler asked. Millie nodded as she took off her coat. Frank and Tyler looked at the back of her tiny arms to reveal four small scars on both arms.

"Did you know about this?" Erin whispered.

"No," Danny said as they struggled to hear the conversation. "Linda's going to kill me if this triggers more PTSD."

Tyler thought he'd push a little farther. "Millie, do you know anything else about those ladies?"

"Nadia is a hair cutter. She also paints fingernails. She told me one day that she would paint mine, but then Tony came back and yelled at her for letting me out. She didn't let me out anymore after that."

"Ok. What about Natasha?"
"I think she is a clothes buyer."
"A clothes buyer?"
Millie nodded. "She would always tell Dino that he needed to hurry up and get another shipment so she could get a new coat or shoes."

"Ahhhh…." Tyler and Frank both tried to hide their smiles as they nodded. "I understand."

"Can I go see Mr. Uncle Danny now? I don't want to talk about this anymore." When Danny heard that, he didn't wait for a reply. He opened the door and let himself in. "Mr. Uncle Danny!"

"You did good," Danny said as he walked over and picked up Millie. "I'm proud of you."

"Can we go home now?"

"Well, I've got to finish a few things with Detective Baez. As soon as that's finished, we can go home," he answered as he patted her back.

"Hey Cricket, want to come with me and Eddie for a little while until Uncle Danny gets finished?"
Millie smiled. "Sure."

"Give me an hour?" Danny asked.

"Absolutely. We'll go up to the arcade for a while."

"Hey, you," Danny said as he turned his face back to Millie who still had her head on his shoulder, "don't let Uncle Jamie buy you a bunch of junk food. Aunt Linda's going to have dinner ready when we get home. Copy?"
"Copy."

Jamie rolled his eyes as Millie smiled. "Come on, Cricket. Let's go have some fun." Millie grabbed Jamie's hand. "Bye Mrs. Aunt Erin. Bye Mr. Jim. Bye Grandpa. Bye Mr. Uncle Danny."
"Hey," Frank stopped her. "You were great today."

"Thanks, Grandpa."

Jamie and Eddie led Millie out as Frank, Erin, Jim, and Danny all took a seat in the conference room. "So to recap?"
"She identified every single perp in custody," Frank said. "Even one known associate that we don't have in custody. And she has opened a lead on two more."

"Do we know who they are?" Erin asked.

"One was with Tony… the other was a mistress of Dino."

"I wonder why she never mentioned the women before this."

Frank took a deep breath. "I have an inkling."

They all looked to him as Erin raised her eyebrows. "Care to share?"

"They hurt her, but they didn't scare her. Tony, Dino, all the men… they had guns. A gun is what killed her mother. The women just had fingernails."

"So, how do we get them?"

"Already on it," Jim answered. "Our boys should be picking them up as we speak."

While the Reagans and Jim wrapped up their discussion, Jamie watched with pure joy as Eddie and Millie tried their hand at the synchronized dance machine.

"Mr. Uncle Jamie, you try!" Millie beamed as she and Eddie gasped for breath.

"Cricket, I have two left feet. There's no way I could do as good as you and Eddie."

"Just try one time. I'll watch."

"Come on, Reagan." Eddie grabbed his hand and dragged him up on the machine as she handed Millie two tokens. "Hit it, Mil."

Millie and Eddie laughed hysterically as Jamie unsuccessfully tried to follow the flashing dance steps. When the song ended, Eddie had 1,682 points and poor Jamie had 23.

"Look, Ms. Officer Eddie! You got 1,682! That's a high score!" Then she looked over to Jamie's screen. "You did good too, Mr. Uncle Jamie. You got 23."

"If I had brought my gun, I'd shoot this machine," Jamie deadpanned. "I don't care what Danny said. I need popcorn." Jamie and Millie cracked up as they followed him to the concession stand. "Whatcha want, Mil?" Her eyes cut toward the cotton candy and she grinned. Jamie knew exactly what she wanted. "Pink or blue?"
"Blue."

"Good choice. Janko?"
"Hmm….. pretzel. With mustard."

Danny called just as they were finishing their snacks. "Hey, where are you guys?"

"Sitting at the arcade taking a break. Where are you?"

"Walking in the arcade."

Jamie made a face as he leaned back and threw his empty popcorn bag in the garbage can and motioned for Millie and Eddie's trash. They giggled as he about dumped backwards out of his chair trying to throw away their evidence before Danny walked up with a suspicious look on his face.

"Whatcha doing?"

"Nothing. Just waiting on you. We thought we'd take a break for a minute."
"Uh huh. And have some snacks?"

"I just needed a break from all the dancing. Those two wore me out."
"Right. That's why Silly Millie has cotton candy all over her face?"
"I do?" Millie asked as Jamie and Eddie both looked at her face for evidence.

"Nope. But at least I know what you've been eating," he laughed. "You better have saved room for dinner or Uncle Jamie's going to be in a lot of trouble with Aunt Linda." They all giggled as Danny smiled at the three of them. "Come on, we've got to roll. Say 'thank you' to your uncle and Officer Janko."

"Thank you, Mr. Uncle Jamie," Millie said as she got up and gave Jamie a hug. "I had fun."
"Me too. We'll pick a weekend soon and you can come spend the night with me and we'll come back. Deal?"

"Deal." Millie turned to Eddie. "Will you come too?" she asked as she gave her a hug.

"Sure will. If not, you won't win any tickets. Uncle Jamie's real bad at dancing."

Millie smiled as she grabbed Danny's hand and the two of them headed to Staten Island. "So what was your favorite game, Mil?"
"The dance one. Ms. Officer Eddie was great!"
"Yeah? How was Uncle Jamie?"

"He didn't do so good."

Danny died out laughing. "I didn't think so. You know who the best dancer in the family is, don't you?"
Millie put her finger to her chin and pretended to think. "Mrs. Aunt Erin?"
"What? No. Absolutely not."
Millie cut her eyes. "Grandpa?"
"What? Grandpa?" Danny put on the theatrics.

"Mrs. Aunt Linda?" Millie had his number and she knew it.

"Are you kidding me?"

Millie died out laughing. "Is it YOU Mr. Uncle Danny?"

"Ding ding ding! Right answer. Me. I am the best dancer in the family. Don't forget it."
"Will you dance with me at the arcade sometime?"

"Sure. Next time we go, you and me will take on Jack and Sean." Millie sat and thought for a while as they drove the short distance home. As they got closer, she got the courage to ask Danny what was on her mind.

"Mr. Uncle Danny, why weren't the girls' pictures in there today? And where are Tony and Vito? Are they coming back for me?"
"Mr. Jim sent police officers to pick up Nadia and Natasha the minute you told Mr. Tyler who they were. They're spending their first night in lockup tonight."
"What about Tony and Vito?"
Danny pulled into the driveway and turned around to face Millie. "You listen and listen real good. You do not ever have to worry about Tony and Vito ever again. They are gone and they are never, ever coming back. Don't think of them for one more second. Copy?"
"Copy," Millie whispered.
