"This energy!" Goku and Vegeta thought simultaneously, as they turned around to be stunned by who was standing before them.

"Hey there, Kakarot, Vegeta. It's good to see everyone," Vegito said with a grin as he stood a few feet away from the group.

"VEGITO!?"

Goku and Vegeta were beyond shocked. Vegito, the warrior they had become when using the Potara to take down Majin Buu before defusing, stood right before them.

The other Universe Seven fighters, save for Android 17, had at least heard of Vegito. But no one paid attention to the outburst.

Vegito couldn't help but chuckle as he stood there, looking at the two Saiyans.

"So they found a way to defuse. That won't be happening with me, though," the fused warrior thought as he approached Goku and Vegeta.

"I was wondering if something like this would ever have happened after defeating Buu, but I also understand the surprise, seeing me of all people here. I'll explain everything, but don't expect me to repeat the story twice," Vegito said as he explained everything that had happened to his two counterparts.

Ten minutes later

Goku just blinked his face blank after hearing everything Vegito had to say. At the same time, Vegito was able to process things much faster.

"Okay, I guess I understand… So you tried to travel back in time, but somehow you got stuck in Universe Six," Goku recounted as Vegito nodded.

"After that, you were able to start a new life in that Universe as well," Vegeta added.

While the Saiyans conversed, the Universe Seven Supreme Kai, now defused, looked down to see Vegito standing across from Goku and Vegeta, as a ghastly expression came over the Kai.

"What's going on?! This is impossible! How is Vegito here?" The Supreme Kai squealed, utterly shaken.

"What's with that screeching going on, you damn Kai!" Beerus yelled as he came to a stop next to the Kai.

"T-the Saiyan over there! He's a potara fusion of Goku and Vegeta," Supreme Kai stammered.

Beerus's brows raised, his eyes widening, and pupils dilated as he stared down at the fused warrior, then looking over to Vegeta and Goku. From Vegito, Beerus sensed very similar energy signatures to his two fighters. As he began to connect the dots, the god's brow began to furrow, his teeth grinding together, and a vein protruding from his temple.

Without any warning, Beerus charged into the Universe Six fighter's space as Vegito turned his head to see the charging destroyer, while Goku and Vegeta could do nothing but duck for cover.

"Looks like I may have to fight before the tournament even begins," Vegito stated aloud as his hair began to rustle and his ki started to surge momentarily, but then he stopped and his body relaxed.

Vados was blocking Beerus's way with her staff, as the destroyer began to grow more infuriated.

"Why are you trying to attack one of the fighters from Universe Six, Lord Beerus?" Vados asked.

"Oh, I don't know!" a derisive Beerus shot back. "Maybe you could explain how a potara fusion of two of my fighters is standing over there and fighting for Champa!"

"It's complicated, but I'll give you the details. You have my word that there is no foul play taking place here," Vados answered as she began to detail how Vegito came to exist in Universe Six.

Ten minutes later

Beerus was flabbergasted, and he still wasn't pleased, even if the attendant's explanation was correct.

"Even so-" Beerus started before being cut off by Vados.

"Even so, Vegito belongs to the sixth universe. I suggest you stop trying to kill him," Vados suggested coldly, knowing Beerus's intentions all too well.

Beerus knew there was nothing he could do, as he let out a low growl and turned his back.

"This little development won't matter. My team will come out on top, with that guy knocked out of the ring when this is over."

With that, Beerus flew back to the Universe Seven area, taking his place next to Whis and Supreme Kai.

Vados sighed, having had her fill of tantrums for the day, but knowing more were further ahead.

A few minutes later, a platform in the space equidistant to the two fighter's areas was formed, and Vados announced that the test would start in a few moments so the tournament could begin in short order.

Caulifla floated down from the waiting area and landed next to Koshou in the family area, handing Koshou a box wrapped in purple cloth.

"Hey Mom, if Gito gets hungry at all, here's the food I made for him."

"Caulifla, don't worry about your son right now, he's in good hands. Just focus on the tournament for now," Koshou said as Gito rested in her arms.

Caulifla nodded, noting the reassurance was received, as she flew up to the testing platform, with the other competitors already there, with paper tests and writing utensils laid upon each desk.

"Just so we're clear, you won't be fighting in the tournament if you don't pass," Vados instructed to them after they had all taken their places.

"If you score lower than a sixty-nine, you're not going to be allowed to fight, and your universe will be down a fighter. You have one hour to finish. You may now begin." Vados said as she flipped the hourglass floating next to her over and everyone started their exam.

Caulifla began to fill in her answers and noticed how easy the questions were.

"Even a little kid could pass this test," Caulifla mused thoughtfully as she continued her way through her test.

One hour later

"Everyone passed the written exam. Very good," Vados said as the desks disappeared with a waive of her staff.

"It's time to start, everyone to your waiting areas," she instructed as she regrouped with Champa, and the fighters dispersed.

Once they got back to their inidividual areas, Beerus called on Krillin to fight first.

"WHAT?!" Krillin shouted, his jaw dropping to the floor.

"Krillin, man up!" Eighteen scolded him before leaning into his ear.

"You can win this fight and…" Eighteenth whispered as the rest of her words were inaudible except to Krillin, was she gave him a peck on the cheek.

"Let's go!" Krillin exclaimed with gusto, as he jumped down to the ring, clearly boosted by whatever his wife told him.

The referee stood in the center of the ring, microphone in hand and ready for the action.

"ALRIGHTY THEN! This tournament is about to get underway! The first match is going to be Krillin from Universe Seven against Botamo from Universe Six!" The referee called out.

As if on cue, Botama jumped and made two flips in mid air before landing on the tile of the arena. He looked like an oversized bear, except with a smug look and cocky attitude about him.

"Ready?" The announcer called out, as Botama made a slashing gesture near his throat, though that didn't phase Krillin.

"LET THE MATCH BEGIN!"

"C'mon baldy, give me your best shot!" Botamo called out, patting his stomach as if to invite Krillin to take a free shot.

"I'm not just a weakling you jerk, but then again I guess I'll need to teach you that," Krillin responded.

With those words out of the way, Krillin burst in and went for a kick straight into Botamo, and he connected.

However, he quickly bounced off Botama and was sent hurddling back with a ton of force.

"Whoa, that blow didn't just hit, it didn't do anything!" Goku exclaimed.

"I'm going to guess he has some sort of absorption power or something. Not bad at all," Vegito analyzed from his team's area.

Krillin got up after a few seconds, a little dazed, but seeing this wouldn't be an easy match.

"C'mon Krillin, try harder!" Eighteen called out from above.

"Easier said than done. I need to try firing off a Kamehameha." Krillin thought as he immediatley knew from his years of fighting that normal attacks wouldn't do a thing.

Krillin pulled his hands back as the blue energy orb appeared as he thrust his arms forward and fired off the energy beam, looking to again be a direct hit.

Instead, Botama just let it bounce off his body and yawned into his hand, leaving Krillin stunned.

"Oh c'mon! Nothing is getting through!" Krillin shouted, frustrated at this development.

"Champa assembled some good fighters outside of the Saiyans, and I don't know if Krillin can win," Whis noted as Beerus shot a glance over at Champa, who sat on his side smirking.

With his hopes wittling down, Krillin got an idea for one final move to see of it would have an effect. Channeling his energy up through his arm, a rotating disc of energy began to whirl as Botamo looked puzzled as to what this was.

"Krillin?" Eighteen looked down at her husband, trying to understand why he would use this attack.

"Let's see how you like this! KIENZAN!"

The disc of energy whirred as Botama began to brace to deflect it.

"BOTAMO MOVE! THE ATTACK CAN CUT YOU IN HALF! DODGE IT NOW!" Vegito yelled out from the other sideline, catching Botamo's attention as he pivoted on his foot, but not before the Kienzan grazzed the big guy.

Although it didn't do mage damage, it did leave a small cut on the very front edge of Botamo. The fact that the pipsqueak in front of him would get that desperate scared him as he moved quickly to finish the match.

"Time for you to leave the ring," Botamo growled angrily as he grabbed Krillin by the leg and tossed him out with more force than he would have used.

"And with that Botamo is the winner!"

Krillin pounded the ground with his fist, clearly disappointed with his showing, as Beerus fumed at what could have been an even worse result.

"Krillin!" Tien called out as he touched down next to Krillin to lend him a hand.

"Are you fighting next?" Krillin asked.

"Yeah, and I have an idea as to how I can beat him," Tien acknowledged, "Although the price could be quite high."

Krillin knew exactly what Tien was planning, but he needed to say something first to try and disuade him.

"Look pal, I know what you're going to do. But remember, you have Launch and your kid up there, and I don't want to be using any Dragon Balls because you went too far, understand?"

Tien hadn't thought about that much, but it made sense as to why Krillin would be worried. Although his child was only 6 months old and wouldn't remember much, Launch would be devestated.

Tien agreed that if he couldn't finish it without killing himself, he'd forfeit the match, assuaging Krillin's worries a bit as Tien stepped into the ring as Krillin went back to the fighters area.

Beerus wasn't chewing him out surpringly, although his stern glance was probably even worse than any words he could say right now.

"C'mon Tien," Krillin thought.

"Krillin, what did you two say back there?" Eighteen asked.

After a moment of silence and the referee calling for the 2nd match to begin, Krillin sighed.

"He's about to do something completely wreckless," Krillin said.

"And what would that be?" Beerus inquired as the focus shifted back to the match now underway.

Tien skirted the arena, throwing blasts of energy into Botamo, as they deflected or disappeared.

"What, is that all three eyes?" Botamo taunted.

Tien then threw a ball at the spot where Krillin manged to graze Botamo, who winced slightly, his expression now showing his annoyance.

"C'mon Tien! Slaughter him!" Launch yelled out, her blonde-haired side showing bright as day.

"That's what I thought. Botamo may be able to be pushed out!" Tien thought his he moved away from Botamo, who wondered why his opponent stopped attacking.

Tien brought his hands together to form a triangle, and his focus was on the cut Krillin made.

"TRI-BEAM HAAAA!"

The energy beam launched straight into Botamo and bounced off, although he wasn't brushing off Tien's attacking so easily as he did Krillin's.

"What's wrong. Botamo shouldn't be feeling anything down there by these weaklings. What's happening Vados?" Champa asked his attendant.

"While Botamo is still defending the attack, that other contestants attack clearly left a weak spot exposed that could be used to knock him out," Vados surmissed.

"I hope you liked that, big buy because there's more where that came from!"

With that, Tien fired off a barage of Tri-Beams, one after the other hitting the big yellow bear. Even with most of the damage was being mitigated, Botamo's new weak point now had Tien pushing him back little by little.

The Tri-Beams kept coming, and each one hurt a little more than that last, as Botamo took a step back as Launch nervously looked on from afar.

"Gah! Just give up!" Botamo growled before being pushed back farther his time as he dug his heels into the tile.

"Tien…" Chiatzou whimpered, seeing how exhausted his friend was.

"That guy actually might push Botamo out of the ring. Keep it up three eyes!" Beerus shouted, as more dazzling light and destructive force were launched toward Botamo, now only a few yards away from the edge.

"Tien is about done here. Anymore of this and he might die," Vegeta stated as Beerus turned back with a puzzled look before turning his attention again to the fight.

Botamo was now five yards away from the edge as Tien let up, gasping for air.

"This damn pest," Botamo muttered as he put a hand over his wound.

Tien moved his hands back into position for another Tri-Beam, though as he did he stumbled forward before just catching his balance. He didn't look well, with veins protruding from his head and drawing in big gulps of air.

"Tien…" Launch muttered from above, as she held their daughter in her arms.

It was time for Tien to make a decision. In the next couple seconds he could maybe knock out Botamo. However, if he failed he'd likely break his word to Krillin.

With a inhale and long sigh of breathe on the exhale, Tien called out to the referee.

"Hey ref! I… know I can't… keep going," he gasped, his body shaking as Botamo looked surprised, albeit relieved.

"I'll have to concede. I can't win," he declared, stealing a glance over to Krillin before looking up and smiling at Launch, who couldn't help but get slightly teary-eyed.

"Well, if you're sure. THE MATCH GOES TO BOTAMO!"

"Grrragh! We're two fighters down with the baldies losing!" Beerus bemoaned, as Champa celebrated on the other side.

"Then why don't I make it up and take a few of them out myself?" Eighteen responded, no hesitancy in her voice as Goku and Krillin brought Tien to the bench and fed him a Senzu bean.

"I can beat this guy now, thanks to Krillin and Tien."

Beerus raised a brow before shrugging his shoulders, waiving her on as she took her turn to descend to the arena floor.

"C'mon Eighteen! You've got this!" Krillin yelled out as she nodded silently and moved her blonde hair bang out of the way of her ice-blue eyes.

Botamo looked more amused and arrogant when he saw the android appear to face him, licking his lips sadistically.

"Just so you know, I won't hold back against a lady," he snickered.

"That's fine," Eighteen shot back. "You won't last another five minutes in the arena against me."

Author's Note

Editor's Note

Hehe! I am super pumped up right now! For this chapter, as well as Chapters 41-43, I AM WRITING THE FIGHTS (Sans Chapter 41)! However, I only have some autonomy, as I will be staying true to the author's vision as that's part of why they put up with me (Lol).

Now, for the skeptical crowd out there: The reason I'm writing up the fights?

The author is super swamped and it actually will allow for a ton of chapters to get cranked out in a row. I have been jumping around between a few chapters, editing for one to two hours straight twice a week since the previous chapter was posted. I've finished half of Chapter 43 and the first half or so of Chapter 41.

Chapter 42 is in the works (admittedly the roughest chapter to write up so far), but I'm planning to turn in all the work for 41-43 in a signle batch to the author so multiple chapters can go up simultaneously. That's why it is taking longer, but the project is on time.

Also Misaka, the last chapter's cliffhanger will be nothing compared to one of the upcoming chapters. I won't say which one, you can guess but we won't answer.
