Kate pointed down towards the waterfall.

"Look! It's your favourite meditation spot!"

He blushed, unsure of what to say.

They landed a few minutes later on top of a hill.

"We're here."

All there was to see was the sky, and the mountains. The land was bare aside from a single apple tree.

"It's so...empty."

Piccolo smirked.

"Which is why I like it so much."

She wandered around the hill.

"So what do you do here?"

"Train."

Kate observed the land once more- she could see why Piccolo liked to train here.

"So...did you take me here to train me?"

Piccolo looked at her surprised.

"What?"

"Well we have a lot of time to kill...and I could use the workout."

She got into a classic Muay Thai stance.

He laughed.

"What are you doing?"

Kate lowered her arms- clearly embarrassed.

"It's called Muay Thai, you ass."

She turned around, trying to regain her composure.

And here I thought he'd be impressed...so embarrassing.

Piccolo chuckled.

"I never realized how prideful you were."

She turned back around blushing-angrily.

"I'm not prideful! Just feel like I wasted my time at the classes I took."

The Namekian folded his arms.

"Well, let's see what you got."

Kate looked at him confused.

"What?"

"See if you can manage to land a punch on me anywhere you want. You have until the end of today."

She smirked.

"What do I get?"

He chuckled.

"We'll decide that if you manage to succeed."

Well, here goes nothing.

She began to throw punches as fast as she could for a whole 2 minutes.

Piccolo dodged each one- his arms remained crossed.

Kate stopped, and tried to catch her breath.

She looked up at him frustrated.

"Okay we get it- you're fast." She shot him a glare. "So wipe that stupid smirk off your face."

He laughed.

"You know, you remind me of someone."

"Who?"

"A saiyan named Vegeta."

It was Kate's turn to laugh.

"Maybe that's why Bulma likes me so much. She told me he's hot."

Piccolo grunted.

"More like hot headed...and small."

She got even more heated.

"Whatever. So I couldn't punch a 7 foot warrior from space- big deal."

Kate turned away from Piccolo.

Dammit.

"Hey."

Piccolo shyly called after her.

Kate sighed and walked back towards him slowly, feeling ashamed.

She faced him and took off her sunglasses.

Piccolo was taken aback.

Her eyes...what is it about them?

Kate looked down shyly.

"I'm sorry. I just get heated really eas-"

She suddenly noticed Piccolo was zoned out.

This is my chance! I'm pretty close, but he'll probably dodge it anyways..

Without hesitation, Kate wrung her arm back, reached up, and landed a punch on Piccolo's right eye.

"AH what the hell?!"

Piccolo fell down onto the ground from shock, covering his eye.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!"

Kate crouched down quickly and hugged his head against her chest.

"I'm sorry, I'm such an asshole. I was mad, then I thought you'd dodge it. I'm sorry." She held
him tighter.

What is she doing...?

Piccolo was left in even more shock- unfamiliar with the action.

"Let me see it."

"I'm fine. You just surprised me."

Piccolo lowered his right hand, causing Kate to gasp.

His eye was now purple.

Kate scanned the area frantically.

"Kate, what are you looking for?"

She ran down the hill and grabbed an apple from the tree.

She carefully pressed it against his eye, causing him to laugh.

"Is this how you treat your wounds?"

She sighed and removed the apple.

"It was the only thing around here."

He got up slowly, and before he could speak- noticed Kate crying.

"Why the hell are you crying?"

She rubbed her eyes.

"I'm sorry. I just feel really stupid." She got up and regained her composure.

"Well it's more foolish to be crying...don't worry-You didn't hit me that hard." He smiled.

Kate sighed.

"Can we head to my place? I have some ice there, and maybe even some steak that we can put on your eye."

"I'm fine."
"Please? I'll feel guilty forever."

He snarled before sighing.

"Fine."

Kate handed him her sunglasses.

"Can you wear these? Just to cover it up for now?"

He humphed. "Will you stop whining if I wear them?"

She nodded.

He put them on hesitantly.

"Kate, I look ridiculous."

Finally, she began to smile.

"Those actually look better on you than they do on me."

He grunted and picked her up without asking.

Kate tucked her head in his chest, and they took off.
