"Vale." Fenrir murmured, staring up at a fountain near the entrance to beacon. Two huntsmen striking down a grimm, etched in stone.

He felt the tug- no, now more a yank- in his chest. It was getting worse, and quickly.

It was almost time. He had said his farewells to just about everybody. Nora had been... unhappy was a bit of an understatement. But then again, what did you call it when someone basically clung on to you to stop you from leaving? by the time Ren and Jaune had pried her off, his sleeves had been drenched with tears.

He shook his head. He had one more person he promised himself to say goodbye to. and it had to be now.

"Fenrir?" A familiar voice asked.

He turned. before him was Ruby Rose, not the ex-god. But the Huntress of Remnant. She seemed surprised to see him. Her back ramrod straight with one hand on her scythe. The other holding a chocolate milkshake.

"Deep breath" he said to himself. He had to hold just a little longer. it was important since that the last person would be someone familiar.

"Huh?"

"Nothing." Fenrir said shaking his head.

"Nora and Ren are out on a mission, but they should be back in a few days."

Fenrir shook his head. "I've met with them already. they know what is going to happen."

"What's up?" Ruby asked, her eyes narrowing slightly.

"Not much." he said, sitting down on the rim of the fountain. "I just wanted to say goodbye."

"Where are you going?" Ruby asked quickly.

Fenrir waved a hand. Seeing the confused look Ruby gave him, he sighed.

"Everywhere, Ruby"

"Huh?" Ruby asked as she approached him.

Fenrir didn't answer, instead looking at Ruby's milkshake.

"Can I have a sip?" He asked.

Ruby glanced at her milkshake.

"uh, sure." She chirped, handing over the milkshake.

Fenrir brought the straw to his lips and took a long draw.

He sighed with pleasure.

"It's great." he said offering it back.

"Keep it, I prefer Vanilla anyway."

Fenrir chuckled. Far be it from him to complain. Given time, he would have explained to her the inherent superiority of chocolate over vanilla.

But he didn't have that time. the tugging became more insistent, he felt his body shake.

"I need to go. Be well Ruby." He said with a smile.

"Uh, ok! You too." Ruby said, giving him an awkward grin.

Fenrir let go, stopped resisting the pull. The world warped around him.

The world blurred, bright greens blending with the cobblestone pavement. as the world organized itself again, it became a much more somber place. He looked out at ruins. Crumbling buildings and broken streets.

He stood on a tree limb as wide as he was tall. The massive limb stretched out over the world below.

"This is Valhalla huh?" He said as he looked around.

"Look on my works and Despair." He muttered as he saw what little was left. Valhalla had shattered, quakes and fissures destroying most of the architecture of the once grand home of the gods. Now even the rubble was fading into the void.

"The age of Gods is over." He said quietly. He nodded, satisfied and sat, his legs dangling over the limb of the new Yggdrasil.

The wind was bitterly cold against his skin, his ears flicking as he glanced upwards. From here he could see all the worlds. He could see everyone. Nikos and Arc, meeting at the physical Therapy Facility in Atlas, their trip to Visit their Teammates as the finished their sentences.

He smiled as Valkyrie wrapped Arc in a Massive hug. The Joy on her face lighting up the sterile room they were in.

He cocked his head and then he was seeing Team RWBY, reunited on Midgard, Penny as well. They were playing some sort of card game. Drinks in hand as Weiss lost yet another round, Blake's head resting on Yang's shoulder as she smiled at her teammate's misfortune.

He chuckled and sat, taking another gulp from his milkshake. The stump of Yggdrasil seemed small now, his legs dangled over the edge. He glanced down into the darkness. The abyss from whence everything had sprung from. Fenrir shook his head. There was nothing left there. But above...

He looked up, and the light made him squint.

Stars, Planets, new worlds. The cosmos shone before him. Here he was, able to see everything. He grinned, taking another gulp from his milkshake.

He took another long draw from the drink, not stopping until the cup was empty. He put it down. He glanced at his hand, bringing it up above his hand. He almost laughed as he saw the light of stars shining through his palm. He placed his hand back on the limb. the bark thrumming with power beneath his palm. He wondered if he could float away, he was probably light enough now.

"Well, it had to happen sooner or later." Fenrir muttered. With Ragnarok come and gone, Yggdrasil felled, his purpose was at an end.

Worlds flashed before him.

"Goodbye Valhalla." The once wonderful city of gods.

"Goodbye Gods." The good and the bad standing for their beliefs.

"Goodbye Remnant." The haven for those who are lost.

"Goodby RWBY" A team that could not be broken

"Goodbye JNPR" Strong friends one and all.

"Goodbye Maidens" Which would cause so much trouble.

"Goodbye my friends." Who had saved him, shaped him and loved him.

"Farewell"
