Two year old Sean Reagan was a master of escaping. He had always been able to climb out of his play pin and his crib, much to the horror of his Mom and Dad.
Tonight he just couldn't fall asleep, he sighed and climbed out of his bed. He snuck over to his big brother's bed, and climbed on top of him.
"Wake up, Jack!" Sean sat on Jack's stomach and pushed his shoulder, trying to wake him up.
Jack sleepily rubbed his eye, "What's wrong?"
"Guess what?"
"What?" He offered a big yawn.
"It's Christmas!"
A smile spread across Jack's face as he turned the desk lamp on. He looked at the digital clock. "1, 4, 5," He read the lit up neon green numbers.
"Mommy and Daddy!" Sean clapped, getting off of Jack.
Jack jumped out of bed and led his brother to their parents' room.
They silently crept in and stood in the door.
"Let's wake up Mommy," Jack whispered. "Daddy wakes up mad."
Sean nodded, and made his way to his mother's side with Jack right behind him. She was lying on her back, but shifted to her stomach. She put an arm around their Dad, and her head on his heart.
"Eeww!!" The brothers whispered simultaneously.
Sean carefully got on the bed as did Jack. They had to stifle their giggles when they heard their Dad snore.
"One... two..." Jack whispered, "Three!"
Both boys started jumping up and down, waking their mother immediately.
Linda snorted a little as she sat up and turned the light on. "Jack! Sean! What the heck are you doing?"
The brothers stopped jumping, hearing how mad their Mom sounded. "We're sorry..."
"You should be!"
"Linda?" Danny finally woke up. "Everything okay?"
"I don't know, babe. I woke up to Jack and Sean bouncing on the bed."
Danny looked at his boys, who were sitting on their knees with their heads down. "Why would they do that?"
"We were s-kited!" Sean explained.
Linda smiled at his mispronunciation, "why were you excited?"
"It's Christmas!" Jack sounded surprised. Surely his Mom couldn't forget about something as important as Christmas?
"Can we open presents?" Sean scooted closer to his Dad as he asked, "Huh? Huh? Can we? Can we?"
Danny smiled and looked at the clock. "It's too early, kids."
"Please?" They begged, their eyes big and wide.
Linda smiled softly, "We'll come and wake you."
"Pretty please?"
"You know, boys, Santa doesn't bring presents to little boys if they wake up their mommies and daddies," Danny explained.
Jack and Sean's mouths dropped opened, then they looked at each other with complete worry.
"But," Linda continued, "if they apologize and go right back to sleep, Santa will forgive them."
"We're sorry!" They hugged their Mom and Dad and scurried to their room.
"You're a genius," Danny kissed Linda's cheek.
"You're pretty clever yourself," she smiled and kissed her husband's lips hard.
"Is that a sneak peak of my present?" He smirked, rubbing her back.
"Santa never tells what his presents are going to be." She nibbled his ear, making him moan. Smiling and patting his chest, she said, "let's sleep now. They'll be up in four hours."
"You're mean, Linda." Danny settled into the covers as his wife turned out the light.
"Then you'll have to punish me." Again she nibbled his ear, and rubbed her hand over his chest.
"Don't worry. It'll be one of the worst punishments you've ever experienced."
"I'll be sore for a week." She mused, wrinkling her brow.
"Good." Danny kissed Linda's head, "I love you."
"I love you more."
"I love you most."
"Let's hope we sleep for more than four hours!" Linda put her head on his chest.
"I highly doubt that."
