Hello guys!

Here is another chapter of Shattered Past. Are you ready?

Well, only one way to find out. Please do enjoy this chapter and tell me what you think in the comments section.

"You want us to do nothing!?"

Arceus failed to recoil away from Mewtwo's outburst, the clone Pokemon in front of her trembling in anger, with his paws clenched in tight fists. He had just returned from his latest meeting with Lysandre, the orange-haired man explained everything that had happened recently. And, of course, Mewtwo wanted to help in retrieving the raven-haired trainer back from Giovanni.

However, when the Pokemon returned to Hall of Origins to ask the other Legendaries for backup things haven't been going well, "Lysandre is going to need our help in rescuing Ash from Giovanni! And all you can say is that you can't! Why not!?"

Arceus shook her head, "We can't interfere. I already stated that before we even agreed to choose Lysandre for this mission. From what you told me, as far I can see he has already failed and he has to fix his own mistake."

"Lies! The only reason you don't want to help because you are scared! How many times has Ash helped all of us!?" Mewtwo whipped around pointing his finger angrily at the other Legendaries, "How many times has he risked his own life for ours when we were in trouble!? He has even died on multiple occasions sometimes and never asked for anything back!"

Solgaleo stepped forward, nodding his head in agreement, "I have to agree with the cloned one your majesty. Without Ash, Necrozma wouldn't have returned to his original state of supplying light and Alola would be in darkness. He took care of me when I was a mere youngling, I want to help save his life as he has mine."

The others agreed, nodding their head and also voicing their desire to help Ash. Arceus, however, sighed heavily shaking her head, "I can't allow that. All of you know the rules. What makes Ash so different from Chosens of the past? They have done perfectly well on their own without our help at keeping everything in balance and always have. It's been that way since the beginning and it will continue like that. No matter who it might be, Mewtwo. I am not changing it because you might still feel guilt from your first meeting with Ash and the revenge you want to enact upon Giovanni."

That seemed to spark something in Mewtwo as he whirled around to face her, staring at her with wide eyes. Did she!?

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!?" The loud bellow shook through the ancient structure, scaring many of the younger Legendaries such as Keldeo and Manaphy, who hid behind the Swords of Justice and Kyogre fearing the wrath of Genetic Pokemon.

Mewtwo shot forward, directly in front of Arceus's face his eyes glowing an intense angry blue while his body vibrated from the rage he felt. He was beyond angry, he was pissed, "DON'T YOU DARE USE THAT AGAINST ME! I AM ONLY HERE TALKING TO YOU BECAUSE ASH NEEDS YOUR HELP. IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY ASH ALSO SAVED YOUR LIFE! IF IT WASN'T FOR HIM YOU WOULDN'T BE HERE TODAY! NOW WHEN HE NEEDS YOU ALL YOU DO IS HIDE HERE WITH YOUR TAIL BETWEEN YOUR LEGS SAYING YOU CAN'T HELP?! YOU, YOU COWARD!"

Arceus didn't have time to protect herself when she was suddenly sent crashing backwards across the ground and into the wall as a powerful Aura Sphere was fired into her chest.

"Your majesty!" Dialga and Palkia rushed to her aid, helping to her feet. Arceus shrugged them off, assuring them she was alright. The attack didn't do much, but it was enough to knock the wind out of her. Moving her gaze to Mewtwo she saw the Pokemon glaring at her while his tail swung dangerous side to side, silently daring Arceus to attack him.

Floating forward, she looked into his eyes that were no longer glowing with anger but instead replaced by unfailing determination. Looking across the hall, Arceus was surprised to see the Legendaries having the same wan-no they didn't want to help Ash. They needed to.

Closing her eyes, memories came flooding back when she first encountered the raven-haired boy and how he along with his friends saved her life. She began comparing it to the previous chosens of the past. Ash had accomplished so much more than the many had done those before him. Gazing around at the others once more, she smiled in acceptance, who was she to deny their will?

Arceus raised her head high and her green eyes glowing as her whole body engulfed in a golden haze, Mewtwo was right. It was time to return the favor, "All of you prepare for battle. We are rescuing the Chosen One."

Gladion frowned as he looked around the prison they were all kept in. Professor Kukui, Burnet, Serena (he had no clue of who she was but he assumed he was one of Ash's friends) and Meowth, that he vaguely remembers from his first encounter from Team Rocket and couldn't help but wonder what the talking Pokémon was doing here in the first place, had joined them recently and to him, it was getting a little crowded. He didn't like crowds and never have, he preferred to be on his own.

Sighing heavily, he leaned against the furthest wall and closed his eyes, blocking out the noise of the people chatting around him. Gladion began to wonder about what to next. It was obvious they needed to escape, but how?

Their Pokémon were taken off them, they were practically all trapped in a stuffy metal box and neither of them had anything to help break the door down. Or did they? His eyes snapped open in an instant making eye contact with Agent Looker, who he still didn't trust but he had a hunch the man had something up his sleeve.

They stared at each other, almost as if a conversation was being exchanged. It was a while before Agent Looker grimly shook his head and expression guilty. He broke his gaze away from Gladion finding the floor very interesting at that moment.

The blonde-haired trainer cursed under his breath, it seems like he didn't have anything to help them escape either meaning they were back to square one. Great just great. Were they ever going to find a way out of this place?!

As if someone answered Gladion's frustration, there loud bang and the door suddenly fell down revealing... all their Pokémon lead by, was that a Greninja? His brows furrowed together in confusion. Of course, he had seen a few when battling other trainers in Alola but there was something different about this one. It large a massive Water Shuriken on its back, the blue and white colorings on it were different from a normal one while there the sides of its head looked like they had black hair, just like...

"Ash-Greninja!" exclaimed Serena looking relieved at seeing the Pokémon for some reason, startling Gladion slightly. He looked at the girl with a questioning eyebrow.

"What's an 'Ash-Greninja'?" asked Professor Kukui interested in what she meant by that and voicing Gladion's silent question. The honey-blonde grinned about to answer when Meowth butted in, "It's one of the twerp's Pokémon. Now that is out of the way, don't ya think we should, I don't do something like an escape!" The normal type pointed frantically to the open door where all their Pokémon stood, "Like now before we are found out!?

Gladion had to agree with Meowth for once, not that he ever had the chance to before but he assumed not many people agreed with the Pokémon. This was their opportunity to get out of here and stop Giovanni. It was time to take Aether Foundation back once and for all.

Giovanni had a headache as he sat bored in the meeting room with the leaders, which he had called earlier to come retreat from their regions to Alola again for updates. What a mistake.

Archie and Maxie were seconds away from coming to blows and Ghetsis wasn't helping, actually encouraging the two idiots to fight. Cyrus, much to his relief, had kept silent just watching the argument deciding not to get involved. Guzma still hadn't arrived, much to his annoyance. He wanted to get this meeting over and done with.

"No, no Archie! You can't do that! It's already agreed that I have Kalos! You have your own region but Kalos is mine! Besides, you were happy with it before so why do you want to change your mind now?!"

"Don't be such a spoilsport, Maxie! Hoenn is practically just water which I think gives me the right to at least have half of Kalos!"

"I thought you love water!"

Oh for the love of... Giovanni groaned, feeling like banging his head against the table. What on Earth had possessed him to not using a holo caster instead of bringing them all in one room, he will never know.

"No its mine!

"No mine!"

"Mine!"

"Mine!"

"Mine!"

"Mine!"

"Mine!"

"ENOUGH!" Giovanni banged his fist against the table silencing the room and glaring at his two squabbling admins, "Both of you sit." The two immediately dropped down in their seats with their eyes wide, like two children that were threatened to be grounded from TV for a week.

Taking a deep breath, their leader calmed his nerves before sitting slowly back down, "I didn't call this meeting just so you two can fight over regions. This is an issue that was resolved and we aren't changing it which means you aren't getting Kalos, Archie. Not even half of it."

Maxie smugly smirked at the pouting pirate, of course, it didn't last for long when Giovanni shot him a disapproving glare at him, the smirk on his face turning upside down, "Now," began the dark-haired man watching the two very carefully, "How are the ruins?"

Cyrus coughed into his hand, finally deciding to speak, "I have uncovered mine in Sinnoh." Giovanni nodded, gaze moving to Maxie, "How are yours in Kalos? "

"We found them."

"Archie, how are yours coming along?"

"Found them."

"Ghetsis?"

"Despite the little... distraction we had in Unova we uncovered them."

"Have you all placed the necessary equipment?" asked Giovanni, looking at each one of them. They nodded in response and the dark-haired man grin was devilish, perfect.

"Excellent, now remember Project Nucleus has to use the ruins on which regions to attack first. We have to get in the right order else our plan to cause a war won't succeed. Once it is over you each take control of your respective regions and everything will be ours, part of our empire. If this plan fails because one of you incompetent fools forgot to do something I will be holding each on you responsible and make sure your punishment is very painful. Am I clear?" Giovanni's voice was deathly calm, leaving no room for argument.

"Yes," they all responded at the same time, fearful of what Giovanni might do if they disagreed.

"Good. Now wh-" Team Rainbow Rocket's leader didn't get to finish when one of the grunts burst through the doors, "Boss! There's trouble!"

"Trouble? What trouble?" Giovanni shot up from his chair, not pleased with this news. What could be happening now?

"The guards by the cells aren't responding to any of our calls and there is something big, very big heading this way!" The grunt pulled out a small device and clicked a button a holographic image displaying on it.

Once Giovanni got a good look at it his eyes widened, pure fear displaying in them, "WHAT?!"

All I can say is: Giovanni you messed up.
