CHAPTER 6 - Revenge Isn't Easy
(CW/TW: Immolation, Non con sexual assault, violence.)

With A gone, most of the children avoided Beyond with the dread of him taking out his grief on them. As if Andrew was forgotten, Roger had begun to focus on three other students, a fair bit younger than B was but they seemed keen and competitive, ready to take on L's work.

L hadn't shown up, B would have at least thought that he would come to pay respects but no. Nothing. He didn't give a shit about A or B for that matter..

Whilst these kids planned on taking on L's work, B was left alone, using his time spent in a different way to 'impress L'.
Beyond planned the ultimate sacrifice. Clearly the only way to get L's attention was through his work. He'd said so himself. It excited him.
He must thought he was so clever taking on so much work at once and solving them all without breaking a sweat, but B had studied his cases back to back for years and he knew what he loved.

Murder. Cold blooded murder cases, especially if they had some kind of message.

B spent these weeks working out the perfect crime to take L down, destroy his ego and he knew exactly where to do it. His mental stability had fallen lower and lower every day after A's gruesome death and the thought of killing somebody didn't even bother him. It'd be interesting.

He felt a little disappointed that he wouldn't get to see L's reaction since part of this plan was to join his beloved A in the afterlife, but it'd be worth it. Beyond had figured it out and with that didn't feel the need to stay in this hellhole any longer. Maybe no one would notice he had left. No. He wanted people to know.

Especially L.

Beyond rubbed his fingers over the lighter A had lit so many cigarettes with, kissing the cold metal with his chapped lips.

Having already packed what he could fit in a gym bag he stole from another boy, he reached under his bed to the box that he'd kept all of the L 'memorabilia' from his younger years of loneliness before A had even entered his life.

He placed it in the middle of the room, pouring some of the whisky that A had stolen from roger over the countless scribbles and drawings along with some of the case files. Soaking the rest of the room, he flicked he lighter, setting one drawing alight, dropping onto the pile, the burning flames spreading throughout. The blaze spreading over his carpet, bed sheets and even up his curtains within only a few seconds.

Grinning gleefully, B took off, putting the lighter in his pocket and ran, leaving that place forever. "I'm on my way Andrew."

Months passed by, L being notified about B leaving the orphanage. From the lack of messages, he assumed B had just become a delinquent and forgotten about him, he did find the boy a little strange times.

Now twenty one years old, L had set up a more permanent residence in Japan for the time being, enjoying the casework the country had to offer.

A notification came up on screen, his brow raising. It was from the FBI. "LA?" He murmured to himself, clicking the file open and reading the brief summary.
Three victims. July 31st. Believe Bridesmaid, a 44 year old man, having been asphyxiated yet no sign of struggle. His corpse having had roman numerals carved into his chest.
August 4th. Quarter Queen, 13 year old girl having suffered blunt force trauma to the head, the corpse having been crushed, glasses replacing them. Again, no sign of struggle.
Finally on August 13th, a 28 year old woman named Backyard Bottomslash was found without her right leg and left arm. The leg had been found in the bathroom but the arm nowhere to be seen. Cause of death, severe blood loss.

All victims had been drugged before their murders, explaining the lack of struggle. All victims had alliterative initials, and a crossword was sent into the Los Angeles police, showing the names of the victims. soon took interest after receiving a copy of the crossword himself, having worked it out fairly quickly since the clues seemed rather personal.

He soon assigned an FBI agent of the name Naomi Misora to attend the case and pass him on information throughout. But the FBI agent had already come into contact with the killer. The very private investigator 'hired' by the victims families. Rue Ryuzaki.

B had disguised himself fully as L, taking on all of his strange mannerisms and speaking patterns, creating this persona of Ryuzaki. He pressed his thumb to his lip, tilting his head to the side, pleased as Naomi solved yet another one of his puzzles.

Naomi made reports of how uncomfortable he made her and L had soon come to his own conclusions, letting the case play out, but it had come to the time that Ryuzaki and Naomi would have to split up, exactly what B wanted. She would have to go to room 1313 and Beyond would have his revenge and finally join his beloved A, as he died in room 404. Only fitting as it'd been the room number both L and A had shared.

Swivelling on her heel, she screamed as she came to the realisation of Rue's identity, starting her descent of the stairs.

It'd come to this, Naomi would figure it out any moment, there was no going back now. Beyond laughed as he coated himself with gasoline, the smell burning his nostrils. "This was all for you baby.." He murmured, a content smile on his face. "I'll see you very soon."

With that he lit A's lighter, the flame immediately spreading over his hand, up his arm, quickly engulfing his clothes, his hair, his skin.
"AGGGHHHHHH!" The man screamed out in pain, doing his best to think of seeing A again, keeping his smile on his face as he roared, letting the flames take over, burning parts of his skin clean off, the smoke choking him.

Finally losing consciousness, the pain being too much to handle, Beyond Birthday fell to the floor, praying it was all over.

As Naomi broke through into the room, she hurried to extinguish the fire, setting her eyes onto the black and red husk that was Beyond's body.

She slapped some handcuffs onto him, immediately calling an ambulance.

Though his body was thoroughly burnt, patches of his hair had fried, and his pulse had been close to stopping, Beyond survived.

Unfortunately, he was never able to see his own lifespan with his eyes, and until that time, he would never be able to die, therefore picking the most painful death, to hope it would override those rules, since surely no one would survive that.

But he did. And the first time he woke up, he screamed, having failed A yet again, now having to live with his cataclysmic mistake and rot away in prison, never to have that chance again. L may have used Naomi Misora and the FBI. But L had still destroyed his life and even his chances at ending it.

The next through months were gruellingly painful. Rehabilitation and various therapies along with a trial in which he had no defence. He didn't think he could have been any angrier at one individual, but after not even seeing L in the courtroom, and having had him rip away his only chance of happiness, Beyond exceeded his own expectations.

The killer was sent to a psychiatric ward part of a prison for the criminally insane, though he was sectioned to be placed in solitude, deemed too dangerous to share with anyone. He was fed through a hatch like an animal, and left alone with nothing but his own thoughts, and that was how his life was now.

Mere months after Beyond had settled in, two armed guards the door, knocking twice before coming in. "You have a visitor who wants to see you immediately." The one spoke out, holding out a pair of handcuffs.

B scowled, looking around at the guard, "Great. Another shrink?"

No, usually he had scheduled appointments where he would sit and make the therapist feel uncomfortable for an hour. But a visitor? He hadn't had any, he didn't know anybody. The only people he could think that it might be was Roger.. even Naomi? But why would either of them come to talk to him?

He was cuffed up, and let the guard do what he had to do, glaring at the two of them the whole didn't answer, escorting him to a private room and sitting him in a chair, handcuffing his wrists to the desk. They nodded to the large mirror and then turned, leaving the room. The wait seemed like forever, but soon enough, the door was opened and a young male came through.

L.

He'd matured a whole lot, his hair longer and his frame slender. He wore the exact same outfit he had back at Wammys House, his dark eyes surrounded by deep bags. Settling his gaze onto the man, he approached, coming to sit opposite in his frog-like manner.

"It's been years. Hasn't it?"

Beyond couldn't believe his eyes, the man had barely changed, he was exactly like what he'd imagined, though his eyes were more sunken in than he'd expected.

"You.." Beyond whispered. His tone was not one of excitement or joy, there was no hint of it in his voice whatsoever, only complete disgusted disbelief.
"You have some nerve."

He rested one of his feet up, his toes curled around the edge of the table. "Nerve? No I have every right to be here. Let's start with the potential of burning down a building full of children for starters. Roger wasn't best pleased." His thumb dragged across his lip, beginning to chew at his nail.

B ignored him, his eyes burning into L's head, not even hearing what he had to say, his own thoughts being too loud in his head. It'd been near seven years since he'd layed eyes on him. B had only been twelve years old, and here he was at 19 rotting in a jail cell.

"You killed him. Your fucking program killed him." Without explaining any of what he was insinuating, B seethed through grit teeth, imagining in full detail what bludgeoning L to death would be like. "How dare you come in here and act like nothing fucking happened!"

L stopped talking once he was interrupted, looking rather cross about it. Roger had told him the program was for those who had volunteered.

"A was suicidal. He knew what he was getting into. It isn't my fault he couldn't handle it. It is an unfortunate incident and there are measures now in place to prevent further incidents." He assured, rather insensitive about Andrew's passing.

"Incidents?.. INCIDENTS?!" Beyond pulled at the cuffs, the metal digging into his scarred skin, wanting to strangle him. "He wasn't suicidal! He promised me he wasn't! I believed him. He was forced to do your fucking cases! You made him! He didn't want to do it, but you fucking made him!" His voice shook, not having talked about his death to anyone since it happened.
"I liked you L.. I thought you were the most amazing person I'd ever met. Then you take away my happiness.. THEN my only chance at reuniting with A, you ripped everything that made me happy and for what!? Your fucking ego!?"
Beyond was demented, unhinged, his anger pouring out of his mouth every chance he got.

L sat there observing as Beyond ranted and raved at him, unsure of what he'd done exactly to upset him so severely. He raised his hands to prevent guards coming in then leaned forward.
"I doubt Andrew was forced to do anything. And I was not involved in taking any part of your happiness away. I have achieved the title of worlds greatest detective and am proud in doing so. Your case was hardly a challenge." He tapped his fingers then reached into his pocket to get his phone, texting Watari to get the car ready.

"He was! He was locked in his fucking room! Forced to do it or he would be kicked out! Roger was working to your exact orders!" Nothing he was saying was getting through to him. And his case?! Hardly a challenge? It was Naomi that acted too fast, not L.
"Naomi Misora solved that case, not you!"

L didn't take much notice of the details, a soft smile covering his face. "Who do you think she was on the phone with the majority of the time?" He continued basking in his achievement. "You had so much potential and you wasted your life." He stood, gesturing to the guards to let him out. L only turned once he got to the door.
"Farewell Beyond."

"Are you fucking listening to me Lawliet? No, you get back here, we're not done talking!" He thrashed around in his chair, the clanking of his cuffs echoing around the room. "LAWLIET!?"

He left before he heard his name, the door closing as he stood on the other side, seething. How dare he use his name so openly. L came around to watch him through the mirror, looking to one of the guards. "Don't feed him tonight. Take his bed." He spoke in a dead tone before heading back home.

As according to L's orders, B slept on the floor, having not been fed and been forced into a straitjacket, having shown signs of trying to injure himself and escape. He'd screamed so much his throat had bled, a doctor having had to administer him with some Diazepam to keep him calm and numb until it passed.

Until now, B had only wanted to die, but his plans to destroy L only grew more sinister, though they were merely dreams, knowing he'd never get out of here.

_

L made one more stop off before returning to Japan. Turning up in Roger's office, the now taller male was insistent on meeting with the old man.
Roger hadn't been notified at all about Watari or L's arrival to Wammy's, having just gone for a smoke break before coming back to his office to see his old friend.
He entered his office finding L standing there, as proud as ever.

"Oh! L, what a pleasant surprise! I wasn't expecting you, how have you been? It's been years, has it not?"

"Listen Roger." Ignoring formalities, L got straight to it. "I'm going to have to cut the funding for my successors. I'm going to hire a few teachers to do it one-on-one rather than letting the students do it alone. I apologise if this cuts any payments for you." He stated as he looked around the man's office, placing his hands on the edge of the desk.

"Uh? May I ask why? There hasn't been any issues with the new three? A was a tragedy but it's working perfectly I assure you." He couldn't have this.. L calling the shots over him like this was enough to make Roger's blood boil, but he couldn't show that.

"It just prevents any more suicides in future. I do not wish for the orphanage to be seen as one that kills children." L turned, taking a phone from the desk noting how old the model was. "Your cut of the payment will be smaller but enough. More than enough to at least make some improvements." He placed the phone down delicately, turning to look at him. "I apologise if this inconveniences anything."

Roger was enraged, this boy was still as stubborn as he was before, but he had so much power now.

"Of course L. not at all." He faked a smile, "I'll be sure to take matters more seriously and make the improvements you require."

L smiled back, "Good. I'm glad you're okay with it. Also I've come to tell you about Beyond. He is being held in the state prison of LA. He will not be trouble again. I assure it." He had a proud tone, still snooping around.

"Oh!.. I see. Well, I'm glad he's off the streets. He always was trouble. Roger put the pieces together. L had clearly been to visit Beyond, and he'd more than likely told L about the stress A was under. Roger had blamed L for it all these years, and now his pay was being cut. This sly dog of a man who was snooping around his office had well and truly pissed him off.

"Is he..well? Beyond I mean. How is he?"

"He set himself on fire in an attempt of suicide. Beyond is insane." L talked bitterly about it, helping himself to a toffee sweet from a jar on the man's desk.
"He's as well as the situation allows I suppose." He spoke as he sucked the sweet, eyeing Roger.
"I suppose this is farewell until next time." He slumped back against the door, knocking it for Watari to get into the car. "I'll be heading back to Japan."

"Good lord.." Roger was more than a little surprised to hear of the extremes, though he had seen how A's death had effected him first hand.

He stood up to bid farewell to the man, offering his hand out to shake it. "Japan you say? Oh! Where about? I'm sure the children would love to stay in touch with you, do you have any permanent addresses at the moment that I could contact if needs be? I'd love to keep you up to date."

"I'll send you the details once I'm situated in one spot. However I do not stay in the same place for more than a few days." He spoke up, taking the man's hand firmly and shaking it. "I trust you are smart enough to understand why." L's tone was condescending, even if he didn't mean it.

He turned to leave and closed the door behind him, leaving for Japan that same afternoon. As he left, Roger's face scowled. "Rotten little bastard.."

The old man couldn't go after L himself, it'd put the orphanage in peril, but he knew one person who he knew would enjoy making L suffer. Roger timed his visit to America with great care, using his work holiday to travel. He used a lot of L's money he'd saved and planned to bail out Beyond with it. He did as he needed to do and provided a phone for the convict to use once outside.

Roger awaited the man in a nearby cafe, reading a paper and sipping some tea, having texted Beyond to meet him. Beyond hadn't been told about who was responsible for getting him out of jail, or who had sent him the phone. It surely wasn't L after their previous and only interaction. Following the instructions of the messages, Beyond made his way into the cafe. He was wearing a baggy hoodie, the hood up, not having been able to make himself up just yet, his scarring very much visible. He didn't want any attention from the public.

Sitting down at the table, he finally knew who was responsible. "Roger? You.. got me out?"
Roger himself was wearing a hat as his disguise, more into blending in than looking 'dodgy' or up to no good. He could see what L meant, the man looked truly awful..

"Indeed. Now there's no time for celebration. I have my reasons." The old man clutched his phone, nervous of the killer.

B tilted his head to the side, looking Roger up and down, it having been a few years. B had only gotten taller, but Roger hadn't changed at all.

"And those reasons are? These must be very important reasons to get a serial killer who tried to burn down your orphanage out of jail. Do share."

B spoke frightfully slow, each word heavy with sarcasm and intrigue. Roger hated the man, but not as much as he did L.

"I need you do deal with L. He's cut my share of the funding for the orphanage and it in turn puts me in a position I do not want to be in." He leaned back, folding up his paper. "I'm sure you have your own reasons to hunt him down. However with my help you will be successful."

"I'm listening."

B had dreamt of nothing more since L's visit, having tried to plan out a way to find him, though tracking a man that moves around as much as he does would have been almost impossible.

"L will give me his location every so often. The next time he does, I will send you the whereabouts. You will not have long though B.. He barely stays a week.." his tone was clear and serious. "Do you understand?"

"I understand." His lips curled into a twisted smile, "Though I have to ask, is it just the money you're wanting revenge for? Or do you have some deep seated hatred of him I don't know about?"

"The boy is cocky and thinks he's in control all the time. Does my opinion even matter to you?" Roger was bitter, but held his composure. "I'm not in a position to bail you out again however. So don't mess this up!" He balled his fist.

"Oh I won't~ Don't you worry. Though I am going to need some money in order to get to Japan. Prison isn't great at dishing out pocket money for good behaviour~" He smirked, knowing Roger had no choice but to pay for him to get out of the country.

Roger grit his teeth and then pulled an envelope from his pocket. "Inside is a one way ticket and enough to have two weeks in a hotel of your choosing." He growled hating the others smug face. "I suggest you get to it."

"Aye aye captain~" He saluted sarcastically, standing up, grabbing Roger's hand with his scarred palm. "Pleasure doing business with you, old man."

With another glare he took off, heading straight to the airport .

-

Upon arriving in Tokyo, having been told by Roger that was where L was based, he treated himself to some food, some good make up, a knife, and a few other well needed tools. Beyond mapped out some of the more 'out of the way' places in this city, wanting to find the perfect place to execute his plan. He stayed in a cheap hotel, waiting for Roger to update him with an exact address, when he finally received it, he was on the move.

L for the moment was staying in a high rise hotel in Tokyo. Without money being an issue, he could stay where he liked. The cleaner the better. He had a suite to himself, Watari having had to go and stay in England whilst Roger was away. Sitting by himself, he took a chocolate cake from a three tier platter, shoving it greedily into his mouth as he worked.

Beyond had made himself up, covering most of his scarring with high grade make up, he was rather proud of himself though he'd only bothered with his face, what was the point of the rest? He wanted to make a 'good impression'.

He had an address, now he had to get in. B scanned the perimeter of the building, no real way in through windows as these types of skyscrapers had no open-able windows.

He also wouldn't be able to figure out which room was which from the outside, and the last thing he needed was anyone else knowing. Before he gave up, he noticed a doorman stepping outside of a back door in full uniform for a smoke break. Bingo. He sneaked up behind him, cracking his neck swiftly and silently, not making a noise. He disposed of the body in the bins lining the wall, piling more bags over him. Quickly dressing into the uniform which fit rather well, he used the key card in the jacket pocket to get into the building.

He checked the phone again, room 2110, the master suite. "Pft.." He made his way up to the room, slipping by guests and even other staff without being noticed. This room was pretty far from the others, down a big corridor.

B's heart began racing, knowing he was finally going to get his revenge. The key cards the staff had were also used as master keys for every room, so with a quick swipe, he was in.

He slowly and silently opened the door, closing it behind him, seeing the back of L's head. As he took the horrid uniform off, Beyond thought about how he could simply stab his knife into the back of his head and be done with it, but it wouldn't be nearly as satisfying.

Instead he simply stood there, watching him.

L was on the phone, speaking fluent Japanese, seeming in a rather authoritative state, his tone of that telling some poor man he was an idiot for questioning his reasoning.

He shoved a truffle into his mouth then hanging up and sending a file over angrily, then typing up a letter real fast. He sat back, sighing softly to himself before snapping the phone in half and binning it.

The man clearly had money to burn. B scoffed with disgust, and holding his blade in his right hand, approached him from behind.

"You seem stressed." With his words, he reached around L, pressing the blade his neck, covering his mouth with his left hand, not wanting him to be alerting anybody, though wanting to see his reaction.

L barely had time to gasp, that familiar voice and the cold edge pressing to his neck had him frozen. He arched his head back, rolling his eyes up to look at the man holding him captive. His hot breath came heavily through Beyond's fingers, convinced his life was over.

"Now.. you're not going to scream. I'm going to remove my hand, and you're going to be very quiet." Beyond growled slowly, breathing the words right down L's ear as he pressed the blade, harder to his neck. "Understand, Lawliet?"

He closed his eyes, breathing a few heavy breaths before nodding, the hairs raising on his neck as Beyond spoke to him, grimacing as he heard his name out loud. Once the hand came away, he sighed, opening his eyes.
Beyond's lips twisted into a grin, his crimson eyes meeting those black voids yet again. "Hello L. Surprised to see me? What's wrong? You don't look as cocky now." He chuckled darkly, his eyes gleaming over L's face, the moonlight making him look almost see through.

L couldn't lean any further back into the leather sofa, his eyes wide as his one knee was kept up by his chest. "There's a lot of things wrong about this." He replied, his voice shaky and nervous. Hearing him fearful made Beyond very happy.
"Oh, are you scared? Do I make you uncomfortable?" He looked around the luxury room, whistling at it, impressed. "Quite a life you have here Lawliet."

"My wealth is none of your concern." He replied, focused solely on the location of the knife and keeping it from his flesh.

"No, I suppose you're right. But your attitude and your guilt.." He toyed with the knife, gripping it tightly, slipping the blade over his collar bone, then back up against his jaw. "Most definitely are my concern."

He spoke ominously, being much much calmer than he had been the last time he'd spoken to him, it clearly putting L on edge.

"You know, I missed you so much Lawli..Heh.. Lawli.. that's a good nickname for you~"

L grit his teeth, not in any way attempting to take it from him. Making eye contact, he flinched as he felt the sharp coldness against his chin.
"... Beyond. Stop this."

"Okay. I'll stop. There's not much I can do here anyway, evidence and all that. Far too many people in this hotel to be witness to what I have planned for you. So." He yanked L back by his dense black hair, grabbing a good handful of it, "I have somewhere much nicer in mind. It's up to you, do I have to drug you and take you by force or will you come quietly?~" He gave him the option, not bothered about what his answer might be either way.

L let out a pained yell, his legs scuttling to keep himself standing. He was in no position to fight considering Beyond was armed. He thought about it but only had started practicing defence martial arts and it was nowhere near good enough to stop this man. "I'll come quietly." He raised his hands in surrender.

"Hm! I wasn't expecting that response. One foul step and this goes through your skull, you understand?" B took the blade away from L's skin, watching him stand. Beyond was taller than he was, but he still couldn't get over how he looked exactly the same.

"Come on. I have a car parked out the front, if you try to run, I will kill you."

L nodded, keeping his eyes to the floor as he began to walk with him, the two having to look normal every moment of their exit. Sadly it was late and most people had taken residence in their rooms and staff were called off for the night. His shoes were barely on and he had nothing with him.
"Beyond please don't do this." He murmured to him as they walked down the hallway.

"Shut up. Keep walking."

As if taking him down the green mile towards his execution, they continued to walk down through the lobby and out into the street. As they got outside, he grabbed L's arm roughly, pulling him around the back of the building to a stolen car. He rammed L up against the car on his front in a very police fashion, pushing him violently to the hood, tying a cord around his wrists, before pressing his lips to his ear.

"You do not have the right to remain silent, or a fair trial." He mimicked Naomi's words to him when he was arrested, smirking as he pushed him in the back seat, locking the doors as he started the engine up.

"Shut up.." L murmured, gasping as he felt it sting. Being shoved in the back seat was more of a relief than anything, Beyond couldn't hurt him whilst driving. Attempting to untie himself, L looked around for any people in the hope that he could signal them. But there was nobody around.

L wouldn't be able to untie himself, Beyond had practised this knot for a long while, it being wrapped in such a way it would be impossible to undo. He couldn't have L attacking him whilst he was driving.

The killer drove for almost two hours, humming to himself every now and then as if he didn't have a care in the world. Even going as far as to blast some music which he loudly sang a long to. Trying to get L to join in. "Come on, get excited!"

L gave up trying to get free after around an hour into the journey, slumping himself up against the door and making note mentally of each road and turning they made. He broke the silence, deciding to question him. "What's the motive behind all of this?" He figured he knew but perhaps a poke at him may get more.

"Motive? I need a motive?" Beyond played dumb, knowing it'd piss L off. "All you know is being a detective don't you, wouldn't it be amusing for me not to have a motive for doing any of this?"

"That would make you a psychopath." L stated, then sat back into his seat, watching the back of the man's head. "Your end game is to murder me I assume?"

"It's not murder if you beg for death." He smirked to himself, "Which I assure you, will be your call once I'm finished. I'm no psycho, I have plenty of motive, though I'd start racking your big brain for the answers, they might just save your life."

Another hour passed and it was mainly open road, eventually turning down a dirt track to an old abandoned motel. There was no one around for miles, and nobody even knew this place still existed.

There was mould on the walls, most definitely rats, though B had found a room on the second floor which would be better suited to L's liking.

"We're here~" Beyond unlocked the door, turning the engine off, grabbing L roughly out of the backseat, pulling him to his feet. "Your new accommodation, what do you think?"

L panicked as they arrived, his eyes darting around, his balance dependant on Beyond for a few seconds.
"Just kill me here. I'm not going to be tortured." He spat, looking at the motel with disgust.

"Oh come on it's not that bad. I stayed in worse when I was living in LA, you'll learn to love it." Beyond spoke knowing that's not what L meant at all.
"Killing you without a little fun, would be boring. Now move." His tone turned more serious as he pushed L to enter the disgusting place, taking him up to the room he'd previously made more suitable.

He'd stripped the room of a bed, it having a beaten up sofa in and that's about it. The carpet was frayed, peeling away from the walls at the edges, the walls marked with grime and mould. As they both entered, he pushed L into the room to his knees.

"Isn't this better?~"

L landed with a thud, not caring much about the state of it. Nothing about this would be nice and he had prepared for honestly worse. He was surprised there was a sofa. Staying silent, he turned to glare up at him, disgusted by the man.

B stood over him, scowling. "Where's your power gone now Lawliet? Not so tough without it are you?" He looked him over before landing a kick right in the detective's gut.

L let out a wail, crashing to his side as he began coughing and sputtering. Curling up as best he could, he closed his eyes, just trying to breathe. Beyond continued to kick him, finally letting out the frustration of the years of mental torment.

"Ahahah~ How does it feel to be treated like shit huh!?" He landed a hard kick in the man's chin, pressing the sole of his shoe down on his face, pushing it into the floor. "Answer me!"

Spitting blood through his teeth, L cried out in pain as he was beaten, visibly trembling as he attempted to kick out in retaliation. "Fuck.. you."

"Fuck you? Huh, I didn't think you'd beg me for that so soon." Beyond's smile grew, "You want me to fuck you Lawliet?~"
He reached down and grabbed the man's chin, bloody drool dripping down it. L strained his eyes to look up to him, shaking his head in response, attempting to get to his feet, blood trailing to the floor from his spit.

"No no, you're fine where you are." Beyond lifted his shirt over his head, exposing his burnt skin and lean frame, teasing L with the idea, wanting to terrify him.

"Oh, there would have been a time that I would have loved to do this to you lovingly, it's a pity really. But you did take my lover from me." He put his hand down his own jeans rubbing himself through his boxers, watching L try to squirm away.

L stopped, just staring at him wide eyed. He had no idea A was this man's lover. It made sense now that he would be bloodthirsty on revenge. "No. Beyond. Don't... please." he swallowed his blood. "No! "

Beyond wasn't going to take no for an answer, if anything it only fuelled him. "A didn't get a choice, so why should you?" His tone was dark, sinister.

B forced L back onto his knees, pushing his face back into the floor by his neck, feeling his pulse skyrocketing. With his free hand, he pulled L's loose jeans down, dragging his nails across his skin with it.

L desperately tried to fight him, trying to keep B from raping him. "Beyond! No! I didn't- " L quietened down as his jeans were stripped from him. "Stop it!" L yelled, trying to turn over.

At this point with A, he would have pleasured him until he'd begged for it, it always being his favourite part of making love, but this.. this wasn't love.

He didn't want L to feel good, he wanted him to suffer as A had, as B had. B only had to give himself a few jerks to ready himself, he forced himself slowly into L's virginal body, shoving in, tearing at his skin, feeling him clenching on his hard dick.
"Oh! Fuck me~" The familiar warmth awoke something inside him that had been dormant for a good while.

"No, no...NO! Bey- AGHH!. " L actually let out a scream, his eyes wide as he shook, both in fear and stinging pain. His insides felt as if they'd just been torn apart. After his scream, he began to whimper under hard breaths, dreading B moving.

It was rather difficult to move inside him but Beyond made it happen, slowly pulling out nearly the whole way before forcing himself back in. After a few attempts of that, it became easier, L's blood more than likely lubing him up. Beyond growled hungrily, grabbing his bony hips with both hands, clawing over them as he thrust in and out of him sheerly for his own pleasure.

The pain was like intense burning, agonisingly painful. L's teeth clenched tight as he focused on a spot of mould on the wall to distract himself. His body jolted forward with each of his painful thrusts, blood soaking B's dick each time.

After fucking him senseless with him on his knees, Beyond decided he wanted to see his face, and for L to have nowhere to look but at him as he defiled him.
He flipped him over, knowing it'd be uncomfortable for L to be lay on his tied wrists, pushing back into him, being able to get even deeper in this new position.
"Agh.. mhnn.. you like that slut?~ How does that feel?~"

It was a momentary relief to feel B slide from him, but being forced on his back he had no choice but to look straight at him. As Beyond pushed inside once more, L couldn't help but make a pained groan, his eyes watering and his back already beginning to ache.

B started fucking him faster, in attempts to get himself off. The sound of L's cries, their skin slapping together and Beyond's deep moans filling the room.

"Fuck.. I'm gonna cum. I'm gonna cum right in your ass Lawli~" He gripped the man's throat, holding it tightly as he rode out his orgasm, not wanting to stop fucking the life out of him as the blood stained his cum. L cringed and whined, closing his eyes tightly. He opened them immediately however when he felt B's fingers clasp his neck making eye-contact with Beyond as he came, the sensation of being filled being disgusting. It was hot, wet and vile.

There was no pleasure about it, only pain and aching. "Fuck.. you.."

"I believe.. hah.. I just did.." Beyond grunted and panted, pulling himself out slowly, the blood and cum pouring out of L's body much to B's entertainment. He rose back up to his feet, his legs a little shaky from being spent.

"Now you know what pain feels like."

L pushed himself onto his side, curling up into a fetal position, whimpering, the cold air around him making him shiver. He felt himself black out a little, the shock of it all making his body give out.

"Have a good sleep Lawliet. Tomorrow the real fun starts."

With that, Beyond kissed his forehead, petting his hair in a pseudo-loving manner and headed off to a different room to get some well earned rest, locking the door behind him.
