Lincoln pouted in his room, and he was obviously overwhelmed by all the needs and wants from his family, who are, apparently, still sick with the flu. "Man. This is just too much for me. How do mom and dad even do it?! Gah!" he hid under the covers in frustration.
Meanwhile, downstairs, the family still looked a little guilty about incidentally taking advantage of Lincoln since he was was the only one who was well.
"Man, I feel bad now." said Lana.
"We all do." Lucy said before coughing again.
Letting out another sneeze, Lynn said; "look at what we have become. We're just as bad as sick zombies."
"Oh, don't say that." said Rita. "We just... asked a little too much from Lincoln. He's just stressed outba little is all."
"Yeah, we didn't mean to shap his mind like that." Lynn Sr sniffled his stuffy nose. "Maybe I should go talk to him." Lynn Sr did just that, and he went upstairs, gagging and coughing a little. He knocked on ybr door and said: "Lincoln- achoo! Are you in there, son?"
"Oh, go away." Lincoln flatly replied in an annoyed tone. "I am so stressed right now. Can't a guy just have some peace and quiet?"
he opened the door, and took a deep breath. "Look dad, this is just too much for me. I am going to go take a shower to cool off."
"I understand, sport." Lynn Sr nodded his head. He watched Lincoln head over to the bathroom while he was still coughing a few times.
In the shower, Lincoln was sitting in the tub, and thinking things over a little. "I... I didn't mean to snap at my family like that," he admitted to himself. "But, this is a little overwhelming. I need yo yet my head straight."
Downsitars, the doorbell rang, and Rita sadly replied: "the door is open. Come on in."
What came in was the Rogue Lion, and his pride, along with his girlfriend, who were all wearing the gas mask that their leader and friend was wearing right now to keep them from getting sick. "Hey guys." said Luke. "We wanted to let Lincoln have a helping hand and, and.." he and the guys noticed that everyone in front of them looked a little downtrodden.
"Oh. What's the matter, guys?" asked Chris. "You look like you are facing a tsunami in Briton right now."
"Oh, we just accidentally broke Lincoln." said Lori before sneezing.
"What? What happened?" asked Grizzly.
The family then explained to the whole Pride about how Lincoln was overwhelmed and how he snapped at them. "So you see," said Leni. "It's our fault."
"Yeah, but we didn't mean to make him go on the crazy train like that- achoo!" Luna sneezed again.
"I get it. But you guys should have at least given Lincoln a break instead of asking for more favors than he would bargain for. Besides, that's what me and comrades are here for.'
"Yeah. We know." said Lynn before letting out more coughing.
"Where is he anyway?" Lekan asked
"In the shower upstairs." said Lisa. "But, I reckon he does not want to be disturbed at the moment. We have made our only brother a little too awry for him to talk to anyone."
"Nonsense. He will not avoid nous." Lekan remarked. "Lincoln should ay least talk to us if not you all."
"Yeah, come on. The least you could do is apologize to him." Alex said
"Good idea." said Lynn Sr.
The Pride all noticed Lily sick and coughing and trying to keep her head straight wjoke feeling dizzy. "Goodness," said Dimartino. "You all sound really sick."
"Yeah, miss D." said Luna with her eyes rolling. "We get that."
Luke went upstairs to try and coax Lincoln a little about this little pressure rushing in his brain. He knocked on the bathroom door, and it Lincoln replied: "go away. I don't wanna deal with you guys right now!"
"Not even me or my cronies, Lincoln?" said Luke.
Lincoln recognized the voice and took back his rude sarcastic remark. "Oh! Luke. I am so sorry. I thought you were my annoying family."
"Nah, it's just me."
"Come in."
The Rogue Lion opened the door, and heard the shower water running in the bathtub. "Don't worry, I won't look at you."
"Okay. Thanks."
"No problem. Listen buddy, I'm sorry about your family mildly taking advantage of you like that. I'm sure they are sorry they did. They wanna apologize to you for making you stressed out. I bet the problem was that, there was only one of you, and you just needed a little more help taking care of them."
"Yeah. Now you tell me." Lincoln said. "Those guys I tell ya. There's not a moment's peace around here."
"Well, me and my friends are here for you now, little brother." said Luke. "You doing okay?"
"Yeah, just taking a shower to clear my head over this stress."
"That's a good idea."
"And get this - they wanted to massage their feet." Lincoln continued complaining. "Did you see Lynn's feet?!"
"Easy, Linc. You could have just said no to them all. Or tell them you were too busy with other stuff than to massage their feet."
"Yeah. I know Luke. I'm sorry."
"No, there's no need to be sorry, dude. Believe me. I used to rub my mom's feet, otherwise she would ground me for a month."
Lincoln made a small chuckle. "That sounds worse."
"Way worse. The point is, they feel bad, and they want to satly sorry for overwhelming you like Cinderella."
"Well, okay. But wait until I get out of the shower, okay?"
"No prob, mon ami. And I looked deeper in the Central African Republic trip someday, we can just vooo a flight to Cameroon and we can go all the way across from Cameroon to C.A.R."
"Got it."
Luke left the room with his gas mask back on his face, and Lincoln got out of the shower a few minutes after that to dry himself off, and wear the hazmat suit once again. He went downstairs and was about to cook himself some Mac n cheese bites when Luan stopped him. "Lincoln, have you got a second?"
The boy sighed, but he slowly turned back to his family. "Yeah?"
"Can you come here, please?" Lola said
The boy did just that, and went in front of his family while Luke and his friends watched under the passageway between the kitchen and the living room. "Listen dude, we're sorry if we made ya stressed out." Luna began.
"But we want you to know that we are grateful of you taking care of us." added Lisa.
"Yeah, please don't be mad- achoo! Mad at us." said Leni.
"We never meant to make you snap like that." Lucy remarked.
"Can you forgive us?" asked Rita.
Lincoln thought of it, and he smirked. "Sure. I'm glad you said you were sorry." Lincoln said. He went up to his family and felt himself being hugged all over. It was a good thing that he was in his hazmat outfit, otherwise, he would have been sick in an instant
