Things were going way better for Lincoln now that Luke and his friends were all there to help him out. This made it way more easier for the boy to take care of his sick members and be way less stressed and not burn himself out, it was not so easy for the men and Alex to do so (though, it was easy for Alex, for she has degrees of working with children, hence being a teacher and substitute teacher for schools who need her.)

Still, it was better than doing nothing, for Luke's cronies weren't up to anything fun at the moment, and they were getting bored before Luke brought them here. Maybe the whole family will get better faster than usually with Luke and his friends here.

"Guys, I really thank you for doing this for me. You saved me from having another nervous breakdown." Lincoln said to his friends. A couple of them chuckled after hearing the word: "Nervous breakdown" coming from his mouth.

"You're welcome, Lincoln." said Luke. "But, you're too young to have a nervous breakdown. That's more of a parent thing. It kinda makes me feel like I am Mauritania again."

"Where's that?" asked Lola

"A country in northwest Africa. Remember the map I showed you guys?" Luke said.

"It is the slave capital of the world." said Lekan. "I have been there, and it is saddening to see the slaves over there. Children being flogged by their masters for misbehaving, and young men being whipped for defying their masters."

"That's... Achoo! Terrible." said Rita. "Those poor kids."

"Yeah, but I managed to save many kids over there." Luke said. The family was a little intrigued to hear that.

"You freed slaves before?" asked Dimartino. "i didn't know that."

"Yep. Mauritania was about almost six years ago." said the Rogue Lion. "But, I don't know if I should tell you guys about it. I don't want you to be too shocked about the events that happened."

"I say you should tell us." said Luna before coughing again. "Please?"

The other kids also pleaded and wanted to hear the story as if they were camping in the woods around the campfire. "Well, it is quite a page-turner." said Lekan. "I was there with you. And I remember all those children and poor souls we freed while staying in Nouakchott all those years ago."

"Nok-what?" asked Lynn.

"It's hard to pronounce," said Cheng, "But it's the largest and capital city of Mauritania."

"Oh." Lynn understood before she sneezed again.

"But come on, we should give you some soup Lincoln made to help ya feel better." Grizzly said. "But if really wanna hear Luke's Mauritania thing, then he can tell ya, right Luke?"

"Right, but first thing's first, i'll give ya the soup." said the Rogue Lion. Lincoln, the Rogue Lion, and his friends helped pass out the soup to every one of the sick family members and they loved the taste of it, and they can slowly feel their noses starting to get more clear. "Want your inhaler, Lori?"

"What?!" Lori shrieked. "Inhaler? I don't have an inhaler."

"Yeah you do." Luke corrected her. "Lincoln said you had an inhaler in case you were very sick or had an asthma attack."

Lori looked at her brother sternly. "Will you literally stop telling him things, please?" and then she sneezed again.

"What?" Lincoln looked innocent at her.

"Well no. I... don't need it now. But don't tell my friends. please. I would literally die of embarrassment." said Lori

"Don't worry," said Brad. "We won't tell any of your friends, because we don't know them."

The eldest sister sighed in relief hearing that. As soon as the others passed their soups to everyone, Luke was in front of the room and pulled out a small chair to tell his times in Mauritania. "So, I was in Mauritania, and it is hot and arid over in that country, given how it is in the Sahara desert. Although, there were a a couple of oasis and Nouakchott was over in the coasts if the Atlantic ocean. Throughout my visit, I have seen a dozen people and children as slaves."

"About Twenty percent of the population in Mauritania were enslaved." said Lekan.

The family sounded a little surprised to hear that. "Twenty percent?" said Lucy. "How many people lived there?"

"About four million." Luke clarified. One day while walking down the arid streets of Nouakchott, I saw a poor boy and girl being beaten by a man with a whip and i remember those poor faces of those kids crying and screaming for mercy. They looked like they were about seven or eight years old. The man just kept on whipping their backs and ignoring the tears of those kids."

"Did you do something about it?" asked Lincoln

"Yep. I went up to the guy and asked what was going on. He was talking in Arabic at first, and I couldn't understand a word he was saying. He then pushed me hard with his two hands and pointed his finger to the right, probably telling me to go away. I then saw that he was pulling out a cleaver and he was intending to cut off the kids' arms off as a punishment for something I don't know."

"Wow. Lot of drama." said Luan.

"Yep. I couldn't just sit there, and I told him to leave the kids alone, but he just swung his cleaver at me, trying to butcher me like minced meat. I dodged and hedore I knew it, I sliced at his throat, and he fell dead on the sand."

"Wow." Luna said. "That's awesome."

"He couldn't be reasoned with, Luna." said Lekan. "Some people cannot he reasoned or negotiated with. Some people of the world are just too stubborn in their own pride."

"I completely concur with you." said Lisa. "Sometimes, certain human beings prefer to do things... as you would say... the hard way."

"He didn't give me a choice." Luke said. "But I saved the kids' lives. I freed them, gave them some water, and I asked them why the man was beating them like this."

"And what did they say?" asked Leni.

"They said they wanted some food to eat, and they haven't eaten anything in a week. The slaver refused to give the kids food they wanted, and they decided to smuggle some food without their Master knowing. One day, he found out, and he decided to punish the kids by giving them the works, which was the whipping where I saved them. Me and Lekan managed to get them to a shelter for orphans and they thanked me for saving them from being whipped to death."

Everyone in Lincoln's family were intrigued by this tale. "Wow, that's amazing." said Lincoln. "Did you free other slaves?"

"Yep. I saved many in my time there, but I had to come back here to America. It was only a visit there, and me and Lekan didn't want to be questioned or in trouble by the Mauritanian police. But, on the upside, me and Lekan managed to free a lot of slaves."

"How many?"

"Well, about-"

The Rogue Lion was suddenly cut short by the doorbell ringing. "Hold on, I'll get it." he answered TBD door and it revealed to he a man his age, and he had short, blonde hair in a comb fashion, and a leather trench coat in a brown color and a white shirt underneath the jacket. His face was a little thin and he had a five o' clock shadow on his face

Luke's heart sank, and he made a gasp seeing what this man was. "Hello Luke." said the man with a smug look on his face. "Did you miss me?" he seemed to have an Austrian, Swiss, or German accent in his voice, and a little smooth.

"Friedrich?" Luke said. He then looked angry, and he asked: "what are you doing here? How did you find me?"

"Vell, i just asked some of your neighbors, and they were more than happy to help me find you."

"Grrrrr, they didn't know what you really were, Friedrich." Luke scoffed. "Now, what do you want?"

"Simple, I want to settle a score with you."

"Uhh, Luke, who is this guy?" asked Lynn Sr.

"Metz Friedrich. A crooked slime ball with no morals whatsoever." Luke replied. "A real piece of work. I told you it was an accident, man. Come on. It doesn't have to be this way."

"Oh, but it does. I have waited a long time for this." Metz tried punching him, but he missed and Luke managed to grab the German man by the right arm and started pulling it from behind. "I don't want it to be like this, Friedrich." Luke grunted. "Leave me alone."

"Luke, Luke, easy." said Lynn.

"Guys, he is not to he trusted." said Chris. "He is a wicked man."

"What are you talking about?" asked Dimartino. Of course she wouldn't know about it since she and Luke were dating for a few months.

"It's complicated." said Luke while holding his rival down. "It's part of why I can never set foot in Germany again."

"Which was your own fault!" Metz pointed.

"I know! And I repent and I don't want to have this anymore. Besides, I was only trying to defend his honor." Luke admitted. "Grizzly, Brad, call the police."

"Got it, Luke." said Brad before pulling out his cellphone.

"Luke, is there something you want to tell me?" Lincoln asked. The other family members and Alex were getting curious as well. "What is he talking about?"

"Well... it's that... i... I did something very wrong over there." Luke admitted.

"Very wrong and unforgivable." Friedrich said. "And who might you be, kid?"

"Umm... I don't know if I should tell you. Matter of fact, I should probably call the police on you."

"Brad's got it Lincoln. This guy is manipulative. He's not to be trusted."

"Luke," said Rita. "What happened in Germany?"

Unable to hold his lies, or cover it up, Luke sighed and Cheng and Chris tried up the German man in ropes and into a chair. "Guys, I... guess I should tell you what happened with me and Germany and why I can't go back there."

"Jah, go on, and tell them everything." said Metz in a smug voice.
