AN: Sorry for the long delay on this story guys. Let me explain it here:
After the released of FNAF 4, well, mainly sister location, I stopped following the franchise when I felt that the series was getting overworked with nonsense that didn't seem to apply well to the first game to me. In other words, something to keep profiting off of. While some of you probably might disagree or agree with me, you cannot lie when you say that things have definitely changed since the first few games. Or maybe it could be because the first few games came out during the same period when it was still new and popular, but I don't know.
And I don't like quitting on my stories if I know they mean something to people. This story was, and probably still is, one of the reads in the FNAF community that was unique in its time when it first came out back in 2014 (yeah, this has been going on since then). And since then, my mind has been blank in regards to the series and where it is now.
So, there's a positive note to this message. I wanted to return and bring back all my stories at once to have you guys enjoy something while we sit in this quarantine to avoid this deadly virus that is taking over our everyday lives. I hope you are all staying indoors, going out when necessary, and washing your hands and covering up. The last thing I want is for any of you to succumb to this virus that can be so easily beaten if you are taking the right steps to staying in. So, what better way to do that for you all, then give you another chapter to this story.
I have made a note before that no stories of mine will be updated unless they are all updated together. I find it fair to do that for everyone instead of favoring one story because it lies fresh in my mind whilst completely forgetting about the other completely. And I apologize to those of you that have noticed this!
If I take long in updating, please know that this is due to managing both work and school while catching up on rest. I work for a company that requires 10 hours of my presence, and sometimes that can wear a young individual like me out.
In other words...
Here's another chapter for you guys. Got nothing else to add other than I hope you enjoy this, stay safe, and enjoy your day. Thank you for taking the time in reading this message. :) See you next chapter.
Disclaimer: I do not own any FNAF characters mentioned in this story. I own everything OC related.
"Alright Bonnie, listen closely. If you want to win my daughter's heart, the first thing you need to do is get yourself a ring."
Bonnie gulped nervously as Springtrap's deep, menacing eyes were locked onto his magenta ones. Despite the fact that this was Evelynne's father inside that suit, all decomposed with that foul stench, Bonnie still had an anxious tension when it came to facing him. Of course, it had nothing to do with this being his future father-in-law, but it was merely because that if he were to mess anything up or break Evelynne's heart at anytime, he was surely going to become nothing but a pile of broken parts.
Springtrap scoffed amusingly upon Bonnie's nervous posture and decided to give him space by taking a step back. Bonnie was still afraid of him? After the many times he had talked with him, this is how he reacts? Hmm, maybe it had to do with the way he projected his voice or demeanor since it usually was something that didn't sit comfortably from an animatronic's perspective.
"I didn't pull you out from the show stage today to have you stand here and act like a fool." Springtrap confessed, "My child deserves a confident, ambitious, hard-working hum- animatronic, that is going to claim her heart. You don't want to end up like that one bozo that did her dirty."
Bonnie became more alert and frowned disapprovingly at the reminder of Evelynne's former fiancee. "No, I don't."
"Great, fantastic!" Springtrap addressed before he and Bonnie returned to peeking from the backstage room. "So, you know what a ring is then?"
Bonnie contemplated for a brief second. He knew the word sounded familiar, but he was not having much luck remembering what shape and appearance the item had. Having spent so many years behind the curtain and away from the crowds of pesky humans, Bonnie never paid heed into finding out what a ring is.
Until now.
Springtrap grew annoyed upon the rabbit's continuous thinking and already had his question answered. "You don't know what a ring is, do you?" Before Bonnie could explain, and thoroughly confess the matter, Springtrap cut him off with the palm of his hand, "No, of course you don't."
"I'm not sure I even know what a ring looks like?" Bonnie smiled sheepishly, "Can you please remind me?"
"I don't see why not, but if I tell you, or "remind" you, you need to make sure you keep it locked in your drive, alright?" Springtrap replied rudely, putting much emphasis on the word remind.
"Yes sir." Bonnie nodded joyfully.
"Alright then big fella, take a seat."
Bonnie continued to keep the joyous expression locked on his face before plopping himself down to the ground, sitting with his legs crossed and gazing up at Springtrap wondrously. Upon the rabbit's landing, Springtrap could've sworn he elevated a few feet off the ground as the props and unopened boxes jumped with him.
Shaking his head to remove the daze of being stunned by the unexpected impact, Springtrap got straight to the point. "Okay, so, a ring is something that is in the shape of a loop. It usually has something very shiny atop of it, and it is found on a human woman's finger. The shiny part is something you know to be valuable once you look at the hands."
"Okay." Bonnie smiled.
Springtrap raised a brow with bewilderment. That's not the kind of response he was expecting. "Really?"
"What?"
"That's it? Just, okay? You know what it is now?"
Bonnie thought for a moment as he rolled his eyes clockwise, "Weeeellllllll, yes!" He then laughed nervously before stating in a matter-of-fact manner, "Yes, duh! Of course I know what it is."
Springtrap didn't seem convinced, but decided to use this as an excuse to send him on his way. Shrugging, the withered animatronic accepted his answer. "Alright then, I expect a ring in three days."
Bonnie's eyes shot open, absolutely horrified by the demand. Gulping nervously, the large rabbit let his ears sink back as he kept his eyes locked on Springtrap. "T-Three days?"
Springtrap stopped before he stepped back into the dark void of the restaurant he called home. Turning only his head to face Bonnie from behind, the withered animatronic grinned diabolically.
"That's right Bonnie. Three days."
After Springtrap left and slammed the door shut behind him, the rabbit was now left alone in the backstage room, sitting on the floor anxiously and unsure of what to do next. Oh gods, what was he going to do! He didn't know how he was going to get a ring to propose to Evelynne if he had no way of getting a hold of one! Springtrap said they were found on human women, but what did that mean? Well, Bonnie was no fool in understanding that there probably would be some sort of risk of exposing the restaurant's secret in the animatronic's being alive by dark magic. The thought of dealing with a petrified human just to try and get a ring seemed like work that Bonnie really didn't want to deal with. He was fortunate enough that Evelynne and Mike were the only two humans who were no longer that way.
Standing to his feet, the large animatronic headed towards the backstage door to peek out at the crowd of humans that invaded the restaurant. He couldn't tell if the curtains were closed or not on his friends, but he tried his best not to wonder about them and instead focus on his mission into finding the perfect ring for the love of his life.
Cautiously observing the women in the restaurant watching over the children or happily chatting with the other humans, Bonnie tried his best to catch an eye for the rings that would stick out the most. Most were indeed pretty, but if it were up to him, he would prefer one that had more of a glimmer to it. Shiny intrigued animatronic attention most, and he wanted a ring that would receive all the attention it could ever get from both the robotic and human eye. One that would make Evelynne swoon and win her heart like Springtrap suggested it would.
One ring finally got his attention since it seemed to have a brighter shine to it than the others he'd witnessed, and that's when the bunny knew he wanted that one. Problem was however was how was he going to get it? He couldn't just walk out there and say hello, can I have your ring? The secret would be out and the adults would never bring their children here again. And that was something Bonnie did not want to risk in losing.
Bonnie was then distracted when two young kids, a boy and girl respectively, were playing with their paper made airplanes from the birthday party they were attending near the door as they happily used their wild imagination. They were obviously oblivious to the massive animatronic that loomed on the other side, but that was enough for Bonnie to not have a problem with so long as they didn't see him.
And that's when he came up with a marvelous idea.
Evelynne didn't understand what was going on for her father to cause Bonnie to stay off the stage today. Without him here to either smother her in kisses or embrace her until it was time to play, the retriever was finding it to be quite lonesome without his presence. It almost felt like she had lost him rather than him having lost her, and the idea of how much pain and depression he must've been in when she had both left him and died before coming back into his life probably was very hard for him to come by. Chica and Freddy knew this had to do with Bonnie, but they kept quiet about the manner. The last thing they wanted to do was remind Evelynne of somebody she was currently missing.
While things kept up to their usual routine at the pizzeria, there were other important matters being handled back at Fritz's place. The dying man lay in his bed, but never the more pleased when his right-hand man finally arrived with someone he never thought he would see again.
He choked out a laugh upon the sight of seeing the woman he loved once more. "Well, I'll be damned, it's you Dianna! And still beautiful as ever I see! Not a speck of hag has hit you like I thought it would."
Dianna growled at the comment while the masked man kept hold of her by the arm. Angrily prying him to release her, the elderly woman kept her focus locked on Fritz before responding with her own snarky reply. "Gee Fritz, didn't know death still favored you. Thought you'd be nothing but a pile of soot at this point."
"Death ain't ready for me, baby. Not until I saw you again. And now, I finally got my wish."
"Don't count on it, I will make sure it stays in hell with you when I shove this heel up your-HEY!" Dianna screamed at the man who returned to gripping her arm in an aggressive manner.
Fritz laughed, "And if I'm heading there, I'll make sure that scoundrel partner of your's gets the message on the way down that I made you my bitch."
Dianna raised an eyebrow at that statement before grinning anxiously in response. She was unsure of how to respond to that one, considering she already knew Vincent's secret. Luckily, these idiots were too oblivious to notice anything as Fritz continued on,
"If it weren't for you being involved with that cunt, and breaking my heart, I would have died a different man. One where I could have kept my angelic ways and never commit a crime, nor a murder. But you did that to me, Dianna. You were the reason for my depression, my corruption, my loss of sanity, and now my demise."
Dianna essentially rolled her eyes since these words meant nothing to her, and probably never would, but things began to get tense as the anonymous man began to force her forward by the arm, along with a knife poking her behind the back. "H-Hey! What do you think you are doing! Stop!"
"And for this, I am forever grateful for the monster you had made me."
As soon as he finished, Dianna screamed when he puckered his lips and the man began to force her down to kiss him. She kicked and screamed in utmost anger, crying for help, but that only forced the man to clutch onto her head and force her to meet Fritz's cracked lips. Despite her attempts to resist and fight this man's strength, she was no match for him. And had no choice but to kiss this dying man unwillingly.
"No, please! NO!"
"Psst, hey!"
The two children that had been happily playing away with their paper-made airplanes stopped short when they heard an unfamiliar voice coming from the backstage room. "Huh?" the boy asked, "Mister, what are you doing in there? You know you're only supposed to be in there unless you're a technician?"
"Uh..." Bonnie thought for a brief moment before lying reassuringly, "Of course! Of course I work here, and in fact I could use your help kiddos! Would'ya mind in helping me fix some animatronic parts? Could use those clever little minds of yours!"
The boy and girl seemed very unconvinced and exchanged unimpressed expressions to one another before smirking confidently when they noticed two familiar ears poking out from underneath the blurred door window. They got the memo of who this was and what was going on here. The boy then shrugged his shoulders and nodded, "I don't see why not."
"Great!" Bonnie exclaimed, careful not to express his satisfaction by shaking the door off its hinges. "Hurry and come in before the other kids notice our little secret!"
The two children followed instructions and snuck inside the room from the crack of the door that was wide enough for them to squeeze through. Upon entering the room did the kids really gape at what they were witnessing hidden away from the window before them.
Bonnie knew this was going to be the type of reaction he was bound to receive if he exposed himself to children again. Anxious, the rabbit backed away from the door and stood to his feet as he towered over the two kids. Unsure of where to begin this conversation, the animatronic rabbit grinned sheepishly as he opened his mouth to speak. However, he was cut short when the little girl squealed with utmost excitement. Stunned, the rabbit didn't even have a proper chance to react when the small child ran up to him and hugged around his leg tightly.
"Bonnie, Bonnie, Bonnie! I love you, I love you, I love you!"
As the child did her best to keep her grip tightened around the rabbit's leg, Bonnie bent his knees to gently pat her appreciatively by the head. "And I love you too little one."
The boy scoffed at the sight of his sister's essential obsession with Bonnie finally coming true by hugging him. "Meh, I'm a Foxy kid. Hugs are not my thing anyway. So, mister 'technician', what is it that you need help with?"
Bonnie grinned nervously upon the boy's emphasis on the lie he had lured them by before cutting to the point while stroking the small girl by her back as she continued to hug him lovingly. "Well, you see I'm having this problem, and I want to know if you can help me get it?"
"Depends on what it is?"
"Alright then, here, let me show you." Bonnie explained as he carefully waddled to the door with the girl still holding onto his leg. The boy looked out the window as the rabbit explained, "Do you see a woman out there wearing a green shirt and a brown skirt with her hair in a bun by the first set of tables?"
"Yeah." the boy replied distastefully, "What about her?"
"Well, I was wondering if you could get me her...uh...ring?" Bonnie asked nervously as he began to feel his cheeks go red with embarrassment. He knew this kid was probably going to go against the idea of taking a ring from an adult, especially if it was someone he didn't know.
But to his surprise, the boy shrugged as he turned back to face Bonnie with a smile, "Alright."
Say what now?
"W-What?" Bonnie asked, stupefied by the response. He didn't know if he had heard that correctly.
"I said yeah. I don't mind getting that for you."
"R-Really?!" Bonnie asked excitedly as he clasped his hands together, "You'll do that for me?"
"Yeah, she's my future stepmom. I don't mind getting that ring my dad gave her for you. She doesn't need it. I'm sure you need it more than she does."
"Yeah! We don't like her!" the little girl added as she continued to stay strapped to Bonnie's leg.
Bonnie didn't know what to say. He was at a loss of words.
"But you do owe me one thing if I do this for you..."
"Alright," Bonnie grinned, "Name your price."
After making the agreement to let the boy and girl get an all-time, VIP exclusive to meet the other animatronics in exchange for their stepmother's diamond carat, the kids would return back to the pizzeria tomorrow with their uncle and the ring in their possession. Despite wishing the plan could have worked out today so he could propose tonight, the rabbit knew that all good things came to those who waited for them. So, with that being the case, he would wait until tomorrow night to make everything special.
After kissing the girl goodbye with a soft peck to her delicate head, the brother and sister headed back to enjoy their party while Bonnie was left alone once again backstage. Leaning against the wall before slowly descending towards the floor, the rabbit had the appearance of a lovesick teenager as he never felt so alive! He was finally going to confess his love to the one he cares about for an eternity by giving her a ring! Oh, this was so exciting and nerve-wracking!
He couldn't wait till tomorrow night!
