Chapter 6: The Legacy of Moroni Harris: Part 3

We open this episode with Frank arriving at the hospital. A doctor walks up to him and says, "Your son is fine. Just some tissue damage to the leg. Your daughter-in-law and the other officers are very lucky. The bullet just grazed your daughter-in-law's neck and your other officers are all stable. Whatever Mr. Harris did saved her and their lives. As for Mr. Harris, he's alive but not for long."

Frank holds back some tears and asks, "What do you mean?"

The doctor sighs and says with sadness, "Mr. Harris received 53 shots to his body. His vest took a lot of the damage at first, but became shredded under the constant stress of being hit. His lungs, kidneys, liver and spleen are badly damaged. He should, theoretically, be dead already. I can promise, though, he's not going to make it. We have him on life support right now, but even that won't keep him alive much longer. If he has any family, now is the time for them to come in and say their last goodbyes."

Frank nods and replies, "I'll make the call."

The doctor nods and says, "Thank you."

Frank reaches for his phone and as he does the Mayor and Governor come in. The Governor says with rage, "Where is he? Where is Moroni Harris?"

Frank turns to him and calmly says, "He's in the ICU."

The Mayor, with pride, says, "Good. Now we can finally arrest him."

Frank couldn't believe what he heard and asks, "What was that?"

The Governor replies, "He's a menace to the public, Frank. He turned my city into a war zone. I heard he single handily killed about 60 African American men."

Frank responses with anger, "Men that were firing at him and trying to kill him and my officers."

The Governor shakes his head and replies, "That is not what the public is going to see. They're going to see a retired soldier who is a racist SOB that wanted to kill as many blacks as he could."

Frank's blood begins to boil and he says, "How dare you. He risked his life for my officers and this city. Now it has cost him it."

The Mayor became confused and says, "But you said he was in the ICU?"

Frank's anger bursts into words, "With 53 bullet wounds. Doctors say he will be lucky to live long enough to see his family. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to make a very painful phone call." Frank then calls Saria.

Saria picks up the phone, "Hello."

Frank, as softly as he can, asks, "How soon can you get to New York?"

Saria relies, "I can be there in about 4 hours or so."

Frank sighs and says, "Better make it sooner. Your husband might not last that long."

Saria puts down her book and asks, "Why? What happened to him?"

Frank swallows and says, "Moroni was gunned down. He was repeatedly shot at and sustained about 53 wounds. Doctors believe he doesn't have much time."

Saria holds back her tears and replies, "I'll be down as soon as I can. Can you please stay with him until I get there?"

Frank nods and says, "Of course. I'm sorry, Saria."

Saria replies with great haste, "We'll talk more in person. See you soon." Saria then hangs up the phone.

Frank hangs up the phone and the Governor taps him on the shoulder. Frank turns around and the Governor says, "I'm not done talking to you, Frank. What were you thinking turning my city into a war zone? You could have turned over Moroni Harris from the very beginning and ended the violence."

Frank calmly asks, "Since when do we negotiate with terrorist?"

The Governor replies with rage, "When those terrorist have the means to wipe out an entire city block. It would have been much better for one nosy, stuck up, rich punk to die, than to have one of my blocks destroyed and turned into a massacre. Crime scene is still cleaning up the streets from all the bodies that were dropped by the hands of Mr. Harris and your officers. The death count is up to 233 and still rising! You can't tell me all those men were gang members."

Frank stands with pride and says, "I can and will. All those men had guns and shot at my officers without warning or cause. My officers and Moroni Harris only returned fire to defend themselves."

The Mayor shouts with frustration "Moroni Harris is a civilian, not an officer or a soldier! He had no business shooting back! He should have waited for your officers to save him instead of taking the law into his own hands!"

Frank shakes his head and walks past the Mayor and Governor and says, "I don't have time for this. I need to check on my officers and keep Moroni company until his family gets here."

The Governor shouts to Frank, "You walk away from us and you're fired! We aren't done talking to you!"

Frank replies with stopping, "Well, I'm done talking to you."

Opening Credits

We see Danny and Baez at their old precinct where investigators are still combing over evidence from the attack. Baez sees Danny pacing with worry and asks, "Any news on Jamie and Eddie?"

Danny swallows and softly says, "Dad says they're alright."

Baez nods and says, "That's good. What about Moroni?"

Danny sits down, rubs his face and says, "He says that doctors predict he'll be dead before the hour. They say that it's a miracle he's still alive." Danny stands up, then kicks a pile of papers on the floor in frustration.

Baez sighs and says calmly, "You can't blame yourself, Danny. It's not your fault that Moroni is where he is now. The only ones to blame are the ones that made the choice to hunt him down and shoot him without a care in the world." Danny doesn't respond. Baez takes a breath and says, "Go be with your family, Danny. I'll take over from here. If I find a lead on the mastermind behind all of this, I'll let you know. Now get out'a here and be with your loved ones."

Danny nods and softly says, "Thanks, Baez. I owe you one."

Baez smiles slightly and says, "I'll put it on your tab."

Danny gets into his car and heads to the hospital. At the hospital, Jamie and Eddie are laying in opposite beds in the same room. Eddie opens her eyes and starts to panic. Jamie sees this and says, "Eddie! Eddie, it's alright. We're safe now."

Eddie struggles to talk and asks with a scratchy voice, "What happened?"

Jamie calmly replies, "You were shot in the neck. Moroni patched you up to give the doctors time to save you. We're actually in Moroni's hospital now."

Eddie swallows and asks, "Where is Moroni?"

Jamie has to swallow some tears before he can say, "My dad came by. He told me Moroni is barely alive and won't make it to the morning."

Eddie had tears coming down her eyes and says, "No. No, he can't die. Not now."

Jamie shakes his head and replies, "It looks like fate has other plans for Moroni, Eddie. All you need to worry about is getting better."

Eddie then sees Jamie's wound and says, "What happened to your leg?"

Jamie calmly says, "It's just a graze. I'll be fine."

A nurse walks in at this time and says, "Oh good, your both awake. How do you both feel?"

Jamie replies, "Fine."

Eddie swallows and says, "My mouth's a little dry."

The Nurse looks at Eddie's chart and says, "Well, I'll get you some ice chips here in a moment. I just came in to get a little more blood, Mrs. Reagan."

Eddie became confused and asks, "Blood? For what?"

The Nurse replies, "Your blood work came back with some unusual results. We just need a little more to run a few more tests." The nurse takes a small amount of blood and says, "I'll be back shortly."

Eddie starts to panic and says, "Jamie! Jamie, what does she mean unusual results? Am I going to be alright?"

Jamie smiles slightly and says, "I'm sure your fine, Eddie. They're just double checking to make sure, is all. You did lose a lot of blood. You're a very lucky woman."

Eddie reaches for Jamie's hand and squeezes it while saying, "Only because I have you."

Danny walks in and says, "Oh, isn't that cute." Danny then pulls out his phone and starts taking pictures.

Jamie grabs his pillow and throws it at Danny saying, "Shut up, Danny."

Danny still smiling asks, "How are you two doing?"

Eddie swallows again and says, "Feels like twenty bees stung me in the neck."

Danny taps Eddie on the foot and says, "Well, I'm glad you're okay. You're a real trooper, Eddie."

Jamie responses with offense "Hey, I got shot, too."

Danny turns to Jamie and says, "Only in the leg. You can just put a Band-Aid on that and get back to work, you lazy bum."

Jamie rolls his eyes and says, "Ha, ha. You get shot in the leg and tell me how it feels, Danny."

Danny's smile grows and says, "Been there and done that, baby brother."

Jamie replies, "Maybe if you wear your vest more often that wouldn't happen."

Danny points at Jamie and says, "See? You're doing just fine. I'm going to go check on Dad, see how he's doing. Can I get you guys anything?"

Eddie, with a little excitement, says, "Maybe a burger and some fries. Oh, and a large chocolate milkshake."

Danny nods and says, "I'll see what I can do."

Danny leaves and takes the elevator to the ICU. He walks into Moroni's room and sees Moroni covered in bandages and on oxygen. He notices that he is on his 5th IV bag and on his 6th blood drip bag. Frank is sitting on a chair right next to the bed. Danny asks, "How's he doing, Dad?"

Frank sighs and says, "They're trying their best to keep him alive long enough for the family to get here. They've had to restart his heart twice already. Surprisingly his heart was the least damaged in his whole body."

Danny nods and says, "That's amazing, considering what he went through."

Frank nods as well and says, "Yep."

Danny looks around and says, "At least they're treating him like a king. They should, being his hospital and all." He sighs, "I promise we'll find the guy that did this and make him pay."

Frank turns to Danny and softly says, "You'll have to find him without my help."

Danny becomes confused and asks, "What do you mean?"

Frank turns back to look at Moroni and says, "I was fired tonight."

Danny, with disbelief, asks, "For what?"

Frank calmly replies, "For turning my back on the Mayor and Governor. For choosing to stay with Moroni instead of following their orders."

That is when Danny sees the handcuffs on Moroni's wrist. Danny points to the handcuffs and asks with disgust, "What are those doing on him?"

Frank swallows and says, "The Governor's private detail put them on him. They believe even now he's a danger to the city and they believe somehow someway he'll escape."

Danny's blood starts to boil and he shouts, "That's just a load of bull! How can they fire you and put those cuffs on him!? How can they do this to good honest people that have done nothing but serve this city!?"

Frank softly says, "If you're going to yell, take it outside. Moroni's been through enough this evening."

Danny takes a few deep breaths and says, "I'm sorry, Dad, you're right. I'll leave you be for a little bit."

Danny leaves the room and Baez calls him saying they have a lead. Danny replies that he is on his way. We go back to Jamie and Eddie's room. The nurse comes back in with a smile on her face. Eddie sees this and asks with worry, "Well, what's going on? Am I alright?"

The nurse looks Eddie in the eyes and says, "Better than alright. Congratulations are in order. You're pregnant."

Eddie couldn't believe her ears and asks, "I'm what?"

The nurse joyfully replies, "The labs came back and you have a little bun in the oven. We'll bring in a doctor to see how far along you are and if the baby is alright."

Eddie's heart started racing and she asks with panic, "What are you saying?"

The Nurse calmly replies, "There's probably nothing to worry about. We just want to make sure everything's alright since you did take some trauma and massive stress this evening that could affect the baby, but 9 out of 10 the baby is alright. The doctor will be with you shortly."

The nurse leaves and Eddie turns to Jamie and sees he is pale. Eddie with a smile says, "Did you hear that Jamie? We're pregnant."

Jamie, still trying to wrap his head around it, says, "I'm…I'm…I'm going to be a dad."

Eddie tries to scream for joy, but ends up coughing.

End of Scene

The scene opens with Danny walking in to the precinct and Baez at the computer. Baez sees Danny and says while turning back to the computer, "We found the lost data that was emailed to you just before the attack. I called the cops in Washington and they did a search on him. Turns out, he's not in Washington at this time."

Danny, with frustration, asks, "Well where is he?"

Baez calmly responses, "Here."

Danny, with shock, says, "What?"

Baez points to her computer and says, "He's in New York staying in the Magellan Hotel."

Danny quickly says, "Well let's bring this guy in."

Baez calmly replies, "Can't yet. We are still waiting for your sister to send the warrant." Baez email comes in and she opens it. Baez smiles and says, "We got it. We can bring him in."

Danny smiles and says, "Finally, some good news."

Danny and Baez head to the hotel and find the guy at the hotel bar drinking champagne with two beautiful women. Danny shows his badge and says, "Alex Warlord! You're under arrest!"

Alex smiles and says: "You're joking, right? You do know who I am, right?"

Baez walks up to him and says with coldness, "We know exactly who you are. That's why you're under arrest." Baez starts telling him his rights as Danny cuffs him.

Alex calmly says, "I want a lawyer. I'm going to sue your department, sue your city and sue you, Detective Reagan."

Danny becomes a little stunned and asks with worry, "How do you know my name?" Alex just repeats the word, lawyer. Danny slams Alex into a wall and shouts, "How do you know my name, huh!?"

Alex smiles and says "Lawyer! Lawyer! Lawyer!"

Danny lets him go and says, "Fine. You want to play hardball, we'll play back at the station."

The scene then goes to Frank still sitting at the side of Moroni's bed. Saria and Moroni's two daughters, his son-in-laws, and eight of his grandchildren walk into the room. Frank stands and says, "I'm sorry. I-"

Saria goes to slap Frank, but stops herself. Her lip quivers as she points to Frank and says, "You promised me, Frank. You promised me that you'd bring my husband back in one piece." She takes a few deep breaths to hold back the tears and says, "But you did stay with him until I got here, even when members of your own family are in the hospital. For that I thank you."

Frank holds back some tears and says, "I know I can't say anything to help ease the pain. I'll give you the space you need." Frank leaves the room but looks through the window. He watches as Moroni's family hug Moroni and start to weep.

Frank overhears the youngest granddaughter, about 5 years of age, say, "Grandpa, wake up. Grandpa, it's time to go home. You need to wake up so you can take us all to the river like you promised. Come on, Grandpa. Wake up."

Frank's eyes begin to water as the mother tries to comfort her daughter. Abigail walks up to Frank and says, "Commissioner."

Frank holds back the tears and says, "I'm not the commissioner anymore, Baker."

Abigail smiles slightly and says, "You'll always be the commissioner to me, sir."

Frank swallows and asks, "What is it?"

Abigail softly says, "We just got word that Danny has a suspect in custody and is about to question him."

Frank started to become angry and asks, "Who is he?"

Abigail replies, "He is a weapon designer named Alex Warlord."

Frank turns to Abigail and says with disbelief, "His name is Warlord and he designs weapons?"

Abigail nods and calmly replies, "Apparently, he legally changed his last name a few years ago when he started making millions off of his designs. He's the last known person that had the ghost weapons before they made their way to New York."

Frank nods and says, "Thanks for the info. Make sure the acting commissioner receives this info as well."

Abigail sighs and says with regret, "There is no acting commissioner at this time, sir. The Governor and Mayor have been too busy with the press to appoint one. They're throwing Moroni and you under the bus and calling tonight's event the Manhattan Mayhem Massacre."

Frank shakes his head and says with anger, "They won't get away with this. The people will start a riot and more people will get hurt. You'll have to take over as commissioner, Baker, until things get settled down."

Abigail couldn't believe the words and asks, "Me, sir?"

Frank nods and says with pride, "You've worked with me for about 11 years now and know how to take care of this city. The officers need a leader to help direct them in this crazy time. You'll have to be the one to take charge for a while."

Abigail nods, salutes and says, "I'll do my best, sir." She then turns to look at Moroni's family and says, "They truly love him."

Frank smiles slightly and says with pride, "Men like him are rare. They know that and will miss his wisdom and guidance."

The scene then cuts and goes to Danny and Baez in the interrogation room with Alex. Erin enters the room and asks, "Have you questioned him yet?"

Baez calmly replies, "He refuses to talk until his lawyer gets here. We've warned him that this is his last chance to cut a deal and come clean."

Danny shakes his head and says with frustration, "He shouldn't even get a deal. He's a terrorist that has betrayed his country." Danny then turns his attention to Alex and says, "If these two weren't in here, I'd tear you a new one, you little punk!"

Erin turns to Danny and says, "Danny, that's enough." She then turns to Alex and says, "Detective Baez is right, though. You are facing very serious charges and will be put to death if you don't make a deal with me right now."

Alex smiles and proudly proclaims, "You got nothing. I'll be out of here just before my bedtime."

Erin opens a folder and says, "See, that is where you're wrong. We have documents and paperwork that prove you bought illegal firearms from out of this country and imported them here. You then paid a bunch of gang leaders to start a war with the cops and even gave them supplies to do it. Your actions have cost the lives of many people tonight."

Alex shakes his head and says with confidence, "You've got nothing. If there were any forms of documents of these transactions, they would have been burnt years ago."

Erin smiles slightly and says, "That's not all we've got. We've got a lot more. So much so that judges were lining up to sign warrants for us to seize your properties and material. Just tell us why and where the rest of the weapons are and we'll cut you a deal."

Alex smile grows and he proudly says, "I'll get all my stuff back before the morning. You see, I have a get out of jail free card. None of you can touch me."

Erin slams the folder shut and says, "Fine then." She turns to Danny and says, "Lock him up, Danny. We've got more than enough to charge him and hold him until his trial."

Danny smiles and says, "Music to my ears."

Erin then turns back to Alex and says coldly, "Enjoy the needle you scumbag."

Alex's lawyer then walks in as Danny cuffs him and says, "Release me client at once!"

Danny calmly replies, "You're client is under arrest. You can talk to him when he's transferred into his jail cell."

The lawyer, with great authority in his voice, proclaims, "Release him at once, or I'll sue you all for unlawful imprisonment."

Erin stands up and says, "Your client is under arrest and there is nothing you can do about it until the trial. I have four judges giving us the okay to arraign him."

The lawyer pulls out a piece of paper and says, "Well, I've got this pardon from the Governor, releasing my client and dropping all charges."

Erin grabs the paper with disbelief and says, "Wait, what?"

The lawyer smiles and proudly says, "The Governor knows he's already arrested the man responsible for all the crimes that you are accusing my client of. You can't charge my client with the same crimes as another criminal unless you can prove he was working with Moroni Harris. If you don't have any evidence to support your claims, then my client is free to go."

Danny slams his fist on the table and shouts, "That's bull! We have proof your client had the weapons that were used to destroy almost a whole block of this city! We have wire transfers that prove your client paid the gang lords!"

The lawyer calmly replies, "And the Governor and five supreme judges believe those reports were falsified. We have proof that all the wire transfers came from Mr. Harris' work computer. Mr. Harris was obviously trying to frame my client for all of this."

Danny finally snaps, grabs the lawyer by his collar and shouts into his face, "Mr. Harris is lying in a hospital bed near death! You really think he'd put a hit on himself!"

The lawyer smiles again and says, "The Governor and I do. Mr. Harris was a depressed man, suffering from constant pain and hate from the public. Because his religion frowns upon committing suicide, he planned this whole thing to make himself feel like and act like a hero once again. He wanted to die in the war, so he created a war to die a hero's death. Plain and simple, detective. Now, release me and my client."

Erin turns to Danny with tears and says, "We have to let him go."

Danny lets go of the lawyer, takes the cuffs off and Alex smiles. He turns to Danny and says, "I win, detective."

Alex and his lawyer then walk out of the building. Danny, Baez and Erin walk out as well. Danny begs with Erin, "Can we at least put a tail on the guy?"

Erin nods and says, "I'll have Anthony tail him for a bit. I promise Danny, we'll find a way to nail this guy."

We then go to the hospital room where Jamie and Eddie are in. The doctor is doing an ultrasound and says, "Yep, there's the little one. It looks like you are about a month pregnant, Mrs. Reagan."

Eddie replies, "Really? Is the baby alright?"

The doctor smiles and says, "Yep. Everything looks normal. We'll have to adjust your medication to ensure lower risk to your baby. I also advise you not getting shot at for a while, Mrs. Reagan. Meaning desk duty for a little bit until you're fully recovered, or until the baby is born."

Jamie asks with great excitement, "Do you know what we're having yet?"

The doctor calmly replies, "Still too early to tell."

Jamie sighs with a little disappointment and says, "That's alright. We can wait."

Frank walks in at this time and sees the ultrasound. Frank smiles and asks "Is that what I think it is?"

Eddie smiles and says, "Yep. You're going to be a grandpa again."

Frank's smile grows and he says: "Congratulations you two."

The doctor stands and says, "I'll be back to check on you later. Try to get some rest, Mrs. Reagan."

Jamie shakes the doctor's hand and says, "Thanks, doc." The doctor then leaves.

Frank nods and says, "I'm really happy for the both of you. I am curious, though, if this was planned?"

Eddie smiles and replies, "No. It's just a happy miracle."

Nicky comes in with Sean and Jack carrying balloons and a bear. Nicky asks, "What's a happy miracle?"

Jamie looks at the group and says, "Hey Nicky, Jack, Sean. Isn't it a school night?"

Nicky puts down some of the stuff and says "The Governor just closed all the schools for a few days until all this mess is figured out and resolved. I figured since the boys and I didn't have school, we'd stop by and see how the two of you are doing."

Jack, still being curious, asks, "So what's the miracle?"

Eddie smiles again and says with joy, "Jamie and I are having a baby."

Sean became excited and asks, "We're getting a new cousin?"

Jamie nods and says with pride, "Yep."

Nicky turns to Frank and joyfully says, "You're going to need a larger dinner table, Grandpa."

Pops walks in and says, "Did I just hear someone say I'm getting another great grandbaby?"

Eddie nods and says, "Sure did, Grandpa."

Pops holds up a bottle and says, "Well I brought wine, but I guess you can't have any, little missy. The adults, though, can make a toast to this great news." Pops pours the drinks and just as they are about to drink, Eve, one of Moroni's granddaughters, rushes into the room.

Trying to gulp in air, Eve says, "Mr. Reagan! Mr. Reagan!"

Frank turns, sees Eve and says, "What is it Eve?"

Eve quickly replies, "Grandpa is awake and is asking for you."

Frank rushes with Eve to the ICU. When they get there, Saria, with urgency, says, "He just woke up in a startle and signaled for a piece of paper and pen. He wrote your name and I had Eve run to get you. He's still awake, waiting for you."

Frank walks into the room and sees Moroni's eyes opened and him struggling to breath. Frank calmly asks, "What is it, Moroni?"

Frank holds the notepad that Saria gave him up so Moroni can write on it. Moroni writes, "Family in danger!"

Frank reads the note and ask, "What do you mean? Who's family? Yours?"

Moroni writes slower, "Yours and mine."

Frank, with worry, asks, "How do you know this?"

Moroni struggling to move the pen, "King Leader told me with dying breath. End game is here."

Frank, with extreme worry, says "What do you mean 'end game is here?'"

Moroni's hand trembles, shaking the pen as he writes, "Once both our families enter Eden, they'll attack."

Frank looks into Moroni's eyes and asks, "Eden? You mean the hospital?"

Moroni writes, "Yes."

Frank, with urgency, asks, "Do you know how many or who is ordering it?"

Moroni writes, "No."

Frank places his hand on Moroni's shoulder and says, "Don't worry, Moroni. I won't let them hurt your loved ones. I'll keep them safe."

Moroni swallows and speaks very softly, "Thanks, friend."

Frank's eyes began to tear and he says, "That's why you've been holding on for so long. You needed to tell me this before you go."

Moroni nods his head with tears in his eyes.

Moroni's family walks into the room overhearing what was said. Saria, with tears in her eyes, asks, "Is that true, Moroni?"

Moroni nods once more.

Saria starts crying more and says, "Then you're ready to leave now?"

Moroni signals his family to come closer. He then hugs each and every one of them. After he hugs Saria, Moroni's eldest granddaughter walks into the room with her husband and new baby boy. Saria was stunned and says, "Rose Mary! You just gave birth four hours ago. You're not supposed to fly for a few months after giving birth!"

Rose Mary had tears in her eyes and said, "I know, Grandma, but we had to come. We had to let Grandpa see his first great grandbaby."

Moroni's lip quivers and tears well up in his eyes. Rose Mary walks up to Moroni and says while placing the baby on his chest, "Say hello to Moroni Harris Condie. Moroni, this is your great grandpa, the man you are named after. I hope you are just like him."

Moroni's eyes start to water as the baby boy opens his eyes. Moroni removes his oxygen mask and slowly moves his head to the baby's. He softly kisses the baby as tears stream out of his eyes. He then looks at all his loved ones and mouths, "God be with you till we meet again."

Moroni's eyes close and his heart monitor flat lines. Doctors rush in and examine Moroni. They realize that he is gone and place the blanket over his body. Moroni's family hug one another and weep bitterly.

End of Scene

We return to the hospital where Frank is standing outside the room, watching the family mourn for their lost family member. He wipes away a tear and calls Abigail and says, "Baker, Moroni is dead. He warned me before he died that there is an attack planned to happen at the hospital as soon as his family and mine are here. Send all that you can spare."

Abigail replies with haste, "I'm sending units to your location now. You should also know that we discovered that we had a mole in our department. That is how the gangsters knew where Moroni was when we radioed in his location."

Frank became bitter and asks, "Do you have the mole in custody?"

Abigail replies, "Sending units to pick her up now."

Danny and Erin walk in and see their dad. Frank sees them and shock fills his heart. He asks Danny, "What are you doing here?"

Danny looks at him with confusion and replies, "What do you mean 'what am I doing here'? You told me and Erin to come by the hospital. Said that Moroni gave you some important details to help us catch his killer."

Frank becomes confused as well and says, "I didn't…" Frank then realizes what is happening. He starts talking to Abigail again on the phone, "They cloned my phone. My whole family is here. The attack is happening now."

Abigail quickly says, "I'm putting a rush on your backup, sir. You'll have to hold them off till we get there."

Frank hangs up the phone and says to Danny, "There's an attack taking place at this building. Moroni's killer wants to finish the job by killing his whole family and our family. I want you to cover the front entrance and notify the security guards what is happening."

Danny nods and says, "You got it, Dad."

Frank then looks at Erin and says, "I want you to head to Jamie's room and warn them. Pops, Nicky and the boys are there, too. Hopefully Pops brought his gun and can hold them off."

Erin asks with great concern, "What about you?"

Frank takes off his jacket, pulls out his gun and says, "I'm staying with the Harris Family to make sure they don't lose another loved one today." Erin rushes off and Frank warns Moroni's family.

Danny grabs a passing security guard and says, "My name is Detective Danny Reagan. I need you to warn all the security guards that this building is going to be under attack. Get as many people to safety as you can."

The security guard asks with concern, "Do you know how many there are?"

Danny shakes his head and replies, "No."

The security guard nods and says, "Then you're going to need a bigger weapon than your side arm, detective. Follow me." The security guard rushes to a security room, heads to the back of the room where there is a steel door. The security guard puts in his ID in the card scanner and says into the mic, "This is Captain Ronald. Security code Alpha, Alpha, Beta, Tango 5942. Emergency access required. Verification code Niner, Niner, Alpha, 2494." A green light appears and the door opens.

Inside the room is a closet full of weapons and ammo. Danny is stunned by the sight and asks, "Do you know how to use all this? And why would Moroni have this in a hospital?"

Captain Ronald smiles and says with pride, "Former Marine, honorably discharged. Mr. Harris hired me and my team to run security on this building. He feared that one day this might happen and he wanted us to be prepared in case it did. What can you expect from a retired military medic? He's seen too many medical buildings attacked by the enemy and didn't want us unarmed and unprepared. Here, take this shotgun and this AR-15."

Captain Ronald tosses Danny the guns and the ammo for them to use. Captain Ronald loads his own gun and says "I have to stay here to ensure that no unauthorized personal gets these guns. My team is heading this way to get supplies, but will be with you shortly. Good luck, detective."

Danny salutes Captain Ronald and says, "Thanks. You, too." Danny then rushes to the front entrance. As he runs, he warns the doctors to get everyone to safety. Soon lights and sirens start going off and the staff herds everyone to the panic rooms like they had practiced this hundreds of times. Danny smirks and says, "I guess this is what you get when a millionaire military doctor builds a hospital. It's more like a base than a medical center."

Danny sees five men in heavy armor come through the entrance. Danny shouts, "NYPD! State your business!" The five men point their guns at Danny and Danny takes cover before they fire. Danny swings his AR-15 around the corner and starts firing back. One of the men drops, but the firefight continues.

The scene then goes to Jamie and Eddie's room. The sirens and lights go off and Pops says, "What's going on?"

Erin runs into the room at this time and says, "The Hospital is under attack. We need to stay here until help arrives."

Jamie slowly gets out of bed and says, "Sean, Jack, get mine and Eddie's gun from our belongings. Be very careful when handling them." Sean and Jack do as Jamie say and Jamie continues, "Erin, Nicky, grab those tables and use them to barricade the door." Erin and Nicky do as Jamie says.

Pops pulls out his gun and says with anger, "Not today. Enough Reagan blood has been spilt. They'll have to get pass me to get to my family."

They stare at the door for what seems like hours. Then two heavily armed men peak in and say, "They're in here! Let's get them!"

The two men start trying to break in. Jamie shouts, "Everyone get behind something solid!" The two men start shooting through the door. They then kick the broken door until it splinters and they climb over the barricade. Pops, Eddie and Jamie open fire and drop the two guys as they are climbing over. Pops rushes over and takes the guns away and hands them to Eddie and Jamie.

Three more men show up and start firing through the hole in the door. Pops, Jamie and Eddie return fire and drop the men just as they run out of ammo. Two more men come to the door and crawl in through the hole. One of them smiles and says, "Where is your God now, Reagans?"

The two men take aim and the Reagans flinch. A bang echoes through the room and the two heavily armed men drop dead.

A security guard crawls in and asks, "Is everyone alright?"

Pops asks with authority, "Who are you?"

The security guard salutes and says, "Lieutenant Reeves, security for Eden's Haven. Is everyone alright?"

Jamie nods and replies, "Yes, We're fine."

Lieutenant Reeves looks at everyone and asks, "Are you the Reagans?"

Erin raises an eyebrow and says, "Yes."

Lieutenant Reeves calmly says, "There has been a hit placed on your family. I was ordered to find you and arm you with these weapons to defend yourselves." He then hands Jamie, Eddie, Pops and Erin with auto rifles and hand guns. Lieutenant Reeves then says, "I'll be patrolling the hallway. If anyone gets by me, you'll have to defend yourselves. I'm calling in for backup on this floor since it is you they want."

Pops shakes the lieutenant's hand and says, "Thank you, young man."

Lieutenant Reeves nods and humbly says, "It's my job, sir. Be safe and keep your eyes open." He then leaves the room.

The scene then goes to Frank guarding the Harris family with his six shooter. We see two heavily armed lying dead with a bullet hole in their heads. Another man turns the corner and Frank shoots him before he can react. A man shouts from behind a corner, "Surrender now, Mr. Reagan! You only got three shots left in that gun and there are five of us! Just make it easier on yourself and we might let you live! All we want is the Harris Family!"

Frank shouts back, "You'll have to get through me first!"

The man shouts with rage, "Then die!"

He turns the corner and Frank shoots him in the head. Another man quickly jumps out of the corner and starts shooting. Frank ducks and shots the man in the head.

A different man shouts with pride, "Down to one! You can't kill us all!" All the men come out from behind the corner and start shooting. Frank takes cover behind an over turned coffee table. Bullets start whizzing through the table and one grazes Frank's shoulder.

The bullets stop whizzing through the table and Frank takes two deep breaths to prepare to return fire. He then hears a voice shout, "Mr. Reagan! Are you alright!?"

Frank pokes his head up and sees two security guards standing over the now dead shooters. Frank breathes a sigh of relief and says, "Yes, I'm alright." He then stands and the two security guards rush to him.

One of the security guards says, "You've been hit. I'll order a doctor here ASAP."

Frank shakes his head and replies, "I'll be fine. Just keep an eye on the Harris family. I need to get to my family and see if they're alright."

The second security guards calmly says, "Your family is safe. One of our guys is with them and we're sending two more that direction. Your son, Danny, has been holding off the front entrance for a while now and we're sending backup to his location now."

Frank starts to walk pass the guards and says, "I need to get to my boy."

The first security guard stops him and says, "Then take this with you. We'll watch over the Harris family from now on." He hands Frank an auto-rifle.

Frank nods and says, "Thank you." He then rushes down the hall.

The scene then goes to Danny as he fires his shotgun at a man that just turned the corner. Another man turns the corner and points his gun at Danny. Danny grabs the gun, pushes it up until it smacks the man holding it in the nose. The man drops the gun and Danny grabs him and the gun. Danny wraps his arm around the guy's throat and uses him as a shield to walk out into the open. As soon as he does, five men fire and shoot the man Danny is holding as Danny returns fire. Danny goes to the other side of the hallway and drops the man and reloads the gun.

Frank, Captain Ronald, and three other security guards join Danny's side. Frank calmly asks, "How many men are we looking at, Danny?"

Danny tries to catch his breath and says, "I counted about twelve."

Captain Ronald smiles and says, "Good thing I brought this, then."

Danny looks in Captain Ronald's hand and sees a flashbang grenade. Danny smiles and says, "That will work."

Captain Ronald pulls the pin and throws the grenade down the hall. One of the men shouts, "Grenade!"

The grenade goes off and Danny and the security guards turn the corner and open fire at the dazed men. All the men in the hallway fall to the ground. Danny and the security guards walk up to the men and see one of them is still alive. Danny puts his thumb in the man's wound and asks with impatience, "Who sent you?!" The man refuses to answer, so Danny pushes his thumb in deeper and shouts, "Who sent you?!"

The injured shooter grunts and shouts in pain, "It was Alex Warlord! He paid us to kill the Reagans and the Harris family!"

Danny shouts with rage, "Why!?"

The injured shooter replies, "He said he wanted to kill God. He said that with the Reagans and Harris family dead, God will die with them! Please stop! I need medical attention!"

Danny stands up and says with frustration, "I knew that creep was behind this. I just wish I had proof to nail him so I can lock that animal up."

Captain Ronald was confused and says, "You just got a confession out of him."

Danny shakes his head and with a temper says, "Yes, but it's still his word against Warlord's. I need proof that this man confessed and it looks like he'll die before we can get a written statement."

Captain Ronald calmly replies, "You don't need one. Our uniforms have built in body cams. I recorded the whole thing."

Danny turns to Captain Ronald and asks, "Really?"

Captain Ronald nods and says, "Really. All I need to do is get to our security system and I'll make you a copy of the recording."

Danny smiles calls Erin and says, "Erin, call Anthony and tell him to bring in Alex Warlord. We've got proof that he's the one behind this."

Erin smiles and says, "With pleasure." Erin then calls Anthony and Anthony arrests Alex Warlord. Baez and other officers come into the hospital and help arrest or deal with the other armed men. All the officers and security guards gather in the lobby.

Captain Ronald stands in front of the other security guards and says, "Report! Any casualties on our end?"

Lieutenant Reeves salutes and says, "No casualties on our end, sir! Patients and doctors walked away without a scratch. All our men are accounted for with zero injures, sir! All and all, 100 out of 100, sir."

Captain Ronald nods and says, "Excellent. Shut down the lock down and return weapons to inventory. Then file our reports and give them to these officers here."

All the security guards at once shout, "Sir, yes sir!"

Captain Ronald salutes and says, "Dismissed!" His security guards then salute him back before heading to different directions.

Baez was confused and asks Danny, "Are we in a hospital or a military base?"

Danny smiles and says, "I asked myself the same question." He then turns to Captain Ronald and asks, "Can I please get a copy of that recording now?"

Captain Ronald nods and replies, "Sir, yes sir. Follow me." Captain Ronald then leads them to the security room and makes a copy of the recording for them.

The scene then goes to Abigail, Sid and Garrett in Frank's old office. A police officer comes in and says, "We've gotten word that Eden's Haven is safe. All armed gunmen are either dead or arrested. No one in the hospital got hurt during the attack."

Abigail breathes a sigh of relief says, "That's good."

The officer then says, "The Governor and Mayor are also here to see you."

Abigail nods and calmly says, "Send them in."

The Governor and Mayor walk in. The Governor's nostrils are flaring and he asks with anger, "What do you think you're doing?"

Abigail calmly replies, "I'm filling in until a new commissioner is assigned."

The Mayor responses with frustration, "On whose authority?"

Abigail stands tall and says with pride, "On Commissioner Reagan's, ma'am. Since neither of you assigned one, and we're still dealing with major attacks and problems, he asked me to fill in to make sure this city doesn't fall apart."

The Governor places his hands on his hips and says, "Well since you're temporarily in charge, I order you to arrest all the security guards at Eden's Haven."

Sid replies with disbelief "For what?"

The Governor shouts, "For illegal firearms and for murder! They slaughtered 40 men!"

Garrett replies with sharpness, "Men that were armed and hired to kill the Reagans and Harris family. I checked and they filed all the proper paperwork. Moroni made sure that all the I's were dotted and T's were crossed when building that hospital."

The Mayor shakes her head and says, "That's not a hospital from what I hear. I hear it's more like a military base than a hospital."

Sid, with confidence, replies, "All it is is a hospital. A hospital with great security measures to insure that no one gets hurt or killed in times like this."

The Governor smiles and says, "See? It just proves what we've been saying all along. Moroni Harris was planning on a war breaking out in this city. Why else would he build such a place?"

Abigail replies with authority and pride, "To be prepared, sir. He has been in war zones, and knows that during attacks it is the hospitals that are attacked first. He wanted to make sure that if a war ever did break out here that the people would have a place to go to to still get treatment and feel safe. We have one of the real culprits behind this in custody now and you're welcomed to watch as we interrogate her."

The Governor scoffs and asks, "Who do you believe is behind this?"

Abigail replies without hesitation, "Alex Warlord."

The Governor shakes his head and says, "You people are unbelievable! I've already pardoned Alex Warlord. The real person behind this is Moroni Harris and I have him in cuffs for it."

Sid replies to the Governor's comment with coldness, "Moroni is dead, you cold hearted prick. Because of you, his family had to mourn their loved one while seeing him cuffed to his bed. You stole that moment from them."

The Governor smiles slightly and says, "Good. Now that he's dead, things can go back to normal. Now, I order you to release Alex Warlord. He is a major donator to this city and I will not have you harass him and risk us losing his funding."

Abigail calmly replies, "We have proof that he is the one behind this. Now, if you will please excuse me, I have an interrogation to do."

The Governor shouts with rage, "Release him now or you're fired and kiss your pension goodbye!"

Abigail stops and says, "Well then, you're just going to have to fire me. Because I will not order the release of that monster."

The Governor shouts, "Then you're fired!"

Garrett finally snaps, "If you fire her, you'll have to fire me, too. I'm tired of you firing everyone that doesn't see eye to eye with you. I've already lost one great boss and I refuse to lose another."

The Governor coldly replies, "Then you're fired as well."

Sid quickly says, "Fire him and you'll have to fire me, too."

The Governor shakes his head in disbelief and says, "I see where this is going. As of now, everyone in One PP is fired."

The Mayor turns to the Governor and says, "You can't do that, Governor. If you fire everyone in this building, the cops will retaliate and we'll face more media issues."

The Governor rage bursts, "I don't care! This is my city. I run it my way and if no one wants to follow that way, then they can take a hike. It's cops like them that caused this mess in the first place. By getting rid of the bad ones, we prevent this from ever happening again. In less than 48 hours over 300 people were killed."

Abigail calmly replies, "If you are that set on firing us, can I ask one final request?"

Governor sighs and softly says, "Sure."

Abigail replies, "All I ask is you watch the interrogation of our mole. Afterwards, if you still want to fire us, you can."

The Governor nods and says, "Fine. I'll humor you, just so I can see the looks on your faces when you figure out I'm right."

We then see Abigail walk into the interrogation room where the mole is handcuffed. Abigail places a file on the table and says, "We have proof that it was you that contacted the gang members, telling them Moroni's location when he was being hunted. We have evidence that it was you that took Moroni's laptop from evidence to make it appear that he was the one paying the gangsters. We got proof that you have been in contact with Alex Warlord and that you have a relationship with him. All we want to know is why you betrayed this city and the badge."

The mole bitterly replies, "I did it for love. Alex Warlord gave me everything that I deserve. I worked years and years and never got a promotion. I watched as people that were friends with the right people move up in ranks as I got left behind. Alex gave me what I wanted, what I needed."

Abigail slams the table with her hand and says, "That's baloney. We have proof that you have a house in France under your name. We also caught you just before you got to the airport heading to France. We know Alex gave you that house as payment for doing all the things you've done for him."

The mole quickly replies with rage, "That's the least I deserve after filing paperwork and taking calls for ten years without even a raise. I deserve to be treated like the queen I am and Alex gave me that."

Abigail shakes her head and says, "How can you look yourself in the mirror?"

The mole smiles and says, "Simple. You should try it sometime."

Abigail calmly asks, "You do realize that all those men are dead because of you?"

The mole proudly proclaims, "They were gangsters anyway. Alex saved this city by killing two birds with one stone. Pay the gangsters to attack the cops and the cops can finally put those low life pieces of dirt where they belong. He was the only one that had the stones to ensure that those thugs never walk on our streets again. His actions saved this city."

Abigail calmly asks, "You said kill two birds with one stone. Who's the other bird?"

The mole smiles and says, "That rich punk Moroni. He stole from Alex and got what he deserved."

Abigail nods and says, "I hope all of it was worth it. You do realize that you'll get the death penalty for what you've done?"

The mole leans back in her seat and says, "New York has no death penalty. I'll escape from prison soon enough and will be living large while you rot in this city."

Abigail smiles slightly and says, "That is where you are wrong. By helping Alex, you committed an act of terrorism, which means it's a federal matter. That means you will face the death penalty and be treated as a terrorist."

The mole's eyes widened and she starts to panic by saying, "No. No, you can't do that. This was not the plan. This wasn't supposed to happen. Alex will set me free. He loves me and will get me out of this."

Abigail's smile grows a little and she replies, "He's locked up, too. We'll be questioning him in a just a few moments."

The Governor and Mayor are watching all of this. The Governor is filled with rage and as calmly as he can says, "I want to see the interrogation of Alex Warlord now!"

We then go to Danny, Erin and Baez in the interrogation room with Alex. Alex is smiling and saying. "This is getting old."

Erin coldly says, "You're not getting away this time. The Governor personally wants you here and we have rock solid evidence that you were behind all of this."

Alex smirks and stays quiet.

Danny smiles and proudly says, "We have all the information we need to arrest you. Your girlfriend is singing like a bird to save her own skin."

Alex smirks some more.

Baez calmly says, "I'd wipe that smile off your face. You're not getting out of this one."

Alex gets a text message and smiles as wide as he can. He puts the phone down and says, "Alright, now I'll talk."

Erin became confused and asks, "Why?"

Alex lifts his phone and says, "That was just a text from my office. I'm am now 10 billion dollars richer and untouchable."

Danny, with disbelief, asks "What are you talking about?"

Alex proudly proclaims, "You see, all this was a test run. All this was to show the United States that their police force, body armor and vehicles are outdated and need replacing. My guys tore through your officers' protective gear like it was tissue paper. My company designed a better and stronger body armor and vehicles. I was about to sign a deal with the state when Mr. Harris donated his body armor and vehicles to New York and a few other states. He cost me millions of dollars, so I had to prove that my armor and vehicles were better.

"I sent private troops in to that hospital wearing the armor. Not one of them died by a blow to the chest. Those that died were only shot in the head. If they got hit in the chest, they would have survived. This test run proved my armor was better and now the president has signed a contract with me to buy my designs. I'm to mass produce my armor and give it to the troops in war. Because of that, the president has just signed my pardon."

Danny swallows and asks, "All this was just a test? You did all this to make a quick buck?"

Alex smiles again and says, "That and to end God once and for all."

Erin couldn't believe her ears and asks, "What do you mean?"

Alex leans forward, puts his hands on the table and says with disgust, "Your family and the Harris family are a disease of this earth. You plague the world with your beliefs and talk of peace and love. The only thing this world cares about is money. Moroni's charity cost me millions in business deals. No one wants to buy from a guy when they know they can get the same product for free somewhere else. Moroni and you Reagans needed to go. I just regret that my team didn't eradicate you before this deal went through."

Danny started to get heated and shouts, "You came after my family! My children because you hate our religion!?"

Alex shakes his head and says with bitterness, "Not just your religion! All religion! There is only one true "Supreme Being" and that is money. The world runs on money. Without it, the world would fall into chaos and destruction. People like the Reagans and Harris family need to go so this world can finally function the way it was meant to. People like you give things to the poor and the needy, which costs people like me millions and millions of dollars. Moroni was a prime example of that and that is why he had to go. Once all people like him are gone, money will live and God will finally die."

Danny gets ready to hit Alex, but the Governor comes in and hits him for Danny. The Governor shouts with rage, "How dare you!" He punches Alex again and shouts, "How dare you use my city for your war against God!?" He punches him once more in the ribs and shouts at the top of his lungs, "How can you do this to me!? We were friends! I looked after you growing up! How could you do this!?" He then punches him one last time.

Danny and Baez pull the Governor off of Alex and Alex smiles as his lip bleeds. Alex spits out some blood and says, "Be grateful that your city is the birth place of a new generation."

The Governor struggles to break free and shouts, "You killed over 300 people! For what!? Money!?"

Alex preaches with pride, "The death of those 300 have saved the lives of thousands of soldiers. They were law breakers anyway. No one is going to miss them and the world is better off without them."

Danny punches Alex and shouts, "What about the cops and my family, huh!? You killed at least 20 or so cops in just 48 hours and injured so much more. They would all be dead if they weren't wearing Moroni's armor that he donated to us."

Alex proclaims with more pride, "And with my armor they all would have lived with 0 injures. Now a new dawn rises for the war. Our soldiers will now slaughter the enemy and return home without a scratch. Besides, as I said earlier, those cops deserve to die. All of them were faithful members of different churches. Religion must die so that mankind can truly survive. It is religion that starts wars and causes so much death and destruction. If religion was no more, war would finally end and money would reign in peace."

Erin shakes her head and says, "You're a sick, twisted man."

Alex looks her in the eyes and says, "Maybe." He stands up, buttons up his suit and says, "But now I'm a rich sick man that you can't touch."

Baez knees Alex in the family jewels and Alex falls to his knees. Baez calmly replies, "It looks like we can touch you."

Alex smiles again and says, "Feisty. I like that in a woman. I'll remember you."

Two agents in black come to the still opened door and Agent 1 says, "We are here to escort this man."

Alex slowly stands and with cockiness says, "That's my ride."

Erin stands and says, "You won't get away with this forever. We will get you one day, then you will pay for all your crimes."

Alex walks to the door and says while walking "Looking forward to it."

The Governor then turns to the officers and the Mayor and says, "I want Frank Reagan reinstated immediately! I will not let that little punk win!"

The Mayor nods and says "I'll start the paperwork right away, sir."

End of Scene

One week later, Frank is putting on his tie in his bedroom. Erin comes in and says, "You ready for this?"

Frank sighs and says with a hint of worry, "This will be the first time I had to talk at a funeral that was not a member of my police force."

Erin walks in, fixes Frank's tie, and says "I think it's sweet that Mrs. Harris wanted you to speak at Moroni's funeral." She finishes fixing the tie and says, "You know that the Governor and Mayor declared today as a state holiday to memorialize Moroni. They also said they're building a memorial for him on the street that he was found."

Frank was still a little sour at them and said with bitterness, "That is the least they can do for him after what they did. Maybe now the public will remember him for what he really was."

Erin nods and says with tears beginning to form, "Everyone's waiting in the car."

Frank nods and says, "Let's do this.

The scene then goes into a church belonging to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A choir of catholic and latter day saints sing, "I Stand All Amazed". After the song, Frank stands to the pulpit and clears his throat. He sees Moroni's family and his family in the first few rows. He then sees the Governor and Mayor sitting in the congregation. He takes one deep breath and says, "This is the first time I've stepped into a church belonging to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Looking around, I see many similarities with their church and the Catholic Church as well as some key differences. But the thing that amazes me most is that the Holy Spirit is here, in this room, at this very moment.

"Looking out, I see members of both faiths as well as a few others joining the Harris Family to remember their lost loved one. It shows me how many people Moroni Harris touched in his life. I didn't know him for very long, but during that time he became one of my dear friends. We talked about religion, politics, and sports, the three things you are never supposed to talk about."

Everyone laughs for a brief moment.

Frank swallows before he continues, "When Mrs. Harris asked me to be one of the speakers at her husband's funeral, I was shocked, but honored. I hardly know Saria Harris, but through Moroni I feel like we've know each other for a long time. This week of preparing this talk was challenging. I didn't know what to say, or which book to quote. I decided that I needed to quote something from Moroni's favorite book, The Book of Mormon. So, I started reading it, and I mean truly reading it. Moroni gave me this book months ago and I've hardly picked it up, just kept it in my desk drawer, never thinking I would ever take it out.

"He told me one time that everything he was was because of this book. So, when I truly read it, I discovered what he meant. In The Book of Mormon there is a group of men called the Stripling Warriors. There were about 2,000 of them. They joined a war to defend their families, for their mothers and fathers vowed to never shed blood again, fearing the judgment of God, for the parents of these warriors were a once blood thirsty savage people that killed many before they learned of Christ and repented. They buried their weapons and vowed never to shed any blood again.

"When invaders came to conquer them, it was their children that joined a noble man named Helaman to fight these invaders to protect those they loved. It speaks of the love that these stripling warriors had for their mothers and how their mothers taught them the gospel and to follow Christ. It then talks about how these men fought and not one of them was killed. Some were injured during the battle, but none were killed, even though they fought massive forces.

"Moroni strived to do that with our officers and our city. He donated equipment that my men and women use daily during, what the media has called, The Manhattan Mayhem Massacre. That equipment saved their lives that only 20 cops were killed during the mayhem. The rest were only injured and are on their way to recovery.

"Another story from the Book of Mormon I found interesting was the story of a man named Abinadi, who faced a terrible king. He called the king and his people to repentance, but the king refused. Abinadi warned the king what would happen if they didn't repent but the king's pride got in the way and he threatened to kill Abinadi. The king then gave Abinadi one more chance to take back everything he said and if he promise that he would preach no more. Abinadi refused and the king killed him for it.

"Just like Abinadi, Moroni fought for his beliefs. He had chance after chance to return to his home and forget about this city, but he refused to leave it. He faced drug lords and gang leaders and testified against them so they could no longer harm our fair city. In the end, Moroni died to protect his beliefs and to protect this city from those that wished to do it harm.

"But the one passage that stuck out to me more than the rest was this one." Frank opens the book and continues, "It is found in the Book of Jacob, chapter 2 verses 18 and 19 and they say, 'But before ye seek for riches, seek ye for the kingdom of God. And after ye have obtained a hope in Christ ye shall obtain riches, if ye seek them; and ye will seek them for the intent to do good—to clothe the naked, and to feed the hungry, and to liberate the captive, and administer relief to the sick and afflicted.'"

Frank holds back the tears as he says, "That, right there, is the philosophy Moroni lived by. That scripture is what made him the man I knew. He used his riches to build up the city of New York. He sought to do everything that that scripture asked of him. He built a hospital and schools to help the sick and afflicted. His actions will be remembered for all of New Yorkers. He died a hero, trying to make the world a better place to live."

Frank steps down from the pulpit, walks to the casket that has an American flag draped over it and places the NYPD flag over it as well. He then raises his right hand to his head and says with pride, "You may not have been a member of the police force, but you were a policeman in my eyes, and your family deserves this flag. We shall all miss you, Moroni Harris. As the members of your church say and sing, 'God be with you till we meet again.'" Frank salutes and the congregation and choir sing "God Be with You Till We Meet Again" as Frank, Danny, Moroni's two son in-laws and his two oldest grandsons pick up the casket and walk it out of the church and into a car.

As the car drives off, with the family shortly behind, Captain Ronald and his men, who are standing at the side of the street, raise their rifles and fire into the air.

End of Episode

In a following episode, each member of the Reagan family receive a special gift from Moroni's Will. The other thing in Moroni's Will is another large donation to the Police Department of money, cars, guns and more body armor.

Frank smiles at the gifts and say with joy, "Even in death, Moroni is still looking after this city."
