Takeru hated being a burden.

Especially on children. And the new kids were children. They thought this was fun, they still thought this was an adventure. The Kaiser must have thought this was a game, or he'd surely be a whole lot less stupid and gloating.

Takeru had been the burden one too many times, but one thing was certain: in the digital world, he wasn't a child.

At least, not an ordinary one. And, he couldn't stay that same little sniveling kid. No, even if it killed him, he would never be that child again.

And the digivice accepted this, encouraged it, opened to his will.
