PPS… Christmas day is my birthday…. Eh thought it would be cool to incorporate into this crazed epic.
November 1st
Harry potter found his way onto Hogwarts grounds with a small smile to his step as he head toward the Headmistresses Office. He loved this place, even though every year he dwelled here we was attacked and almost assassinated. But he was here for a very important mission. Knew he had about 45 minutes before class was out, so he veered toward the infirmary.
He opened the doors and found Narcissa tending to a young Gryffindor.
"You must be still, Antonia, or it will not heal right. How can you try out for seeker, if your wrist did not heal right?" Narcissa asked and Harry suddenly saw a side of Narcissa only Draco and Hermione had only seen. He saw the mother in her, the caretaker, the protector. He watched as the Young lioness closed his eyes and bit her lip as Narcissa's episky cracked and popped the bones into place. Narcissa gave the girl a vial of pain potion, and then a dreamless sleep potion. When the girl was out cold Harry approached. He helped Narcissa pull the covers up over the Gryffindor, and then he smiled at her. She motioned him to the side and sat on a stool in the middle of the room.
"I hate being in the office. I can hear everything, as you know," She gave him a wink for him alone about her animagus, "But I feel better out here when there is a patient to treat or greet. I feel needed when there is a body here to be cared for," Narcissa sighed, "I suppose that is a bit self-centered."
"No, actually I wish Madame Pomphrey were around like you were. I don't know how many times someone could have killed me in my sleep," Harry reminisced, and Narcissa looked at him blinking then he reached out, "Some how she had us protected. I promise you that," Harry assuaged her thoughts of dying those years ago.
"Bella got old," he said, and it caused Narcissa to sputter and then belly laugh, "Yup forty-eight. How in the hell can Fleur stand her?" Harry asked with mirth in his eyes. And Narcissa knew he was doing it for her. She chuckled and swatted his arm.
"What can I do for my future son-in-law?" Narcissa questioned playfully. Harry smiled and took everything Narcissa had to give.
"I wanted to know when your birthday is?" Harry asked as he looked over to a suddenly snorting while snoring young Gryffindor. Cute little Antonia.
"Ask your partner for life Little Wizard," Narcissa smiled and then stared off into space.
"He is funny about that. Every time I ask him, he changes the date. So, I have come to the source. Does your own son not know your birthday?" Harry mock gasped and Narcissa chuckled.
"No, my Little Lord knows good and well when my birthday is, as do my sisters, and so does my lover, other than those four, I am afraid my birthdate is lost," she smirked as she looked to the confused young man next to her. She watched Harry, rather Lord Potter once he chose to be Head of his house. Then Harry narrowed his eyes. He smirked.
"Halloween?" he guessed but got a shake of her head, and a lift of her upper lip as if it were distasteful. He couldn't agree more and thanked Merlin. He couldn't share a birthday and a death date.
"You seem like a high holiday kinda of woman, but down plays it," he saw her eye brow lift… "Easter or Ostara?" he asked and then he got the same shake of a head, but the more he showed interest the more Narcissa showed delight.
"On Old Voldy's corpse please say it isn't Valentine's Day?" He asked mockingly, and then she smiled once more and then settled back into herself. He knew and she knew there were only so many holidays to go through.
"OH my," Harry gasped as he looked at her and Narcissa didn't shift, didn't shuffle one bit. She waited for it, as people with those who have a half a mind can figure with enough questioning, and Mr. Potter had at least that.
"You were born on Christmas Day, weren't you?" Harry asked and his eyes glittered. Narcissa let her eyes sparkle for a moment.
"I suppose you can't forget your lover's birthday, if you were married on the most famous holiday in all the world," Narcissa smiled. Harry laughed, and then he simmered down with a thought on his lips.
"She gave you the most beautiful gift that year, didn't she?" Harry asked. He was like her son. He could ask the hard-hitting questions. And she could answer… would answer… for the most part. They both remembered a wedding in the tropics.
"She gave me the world for my birthday," Narcissa whispered lost in her thoughts.
"Did she know it was your birthday?" Harry asked with a smile on his lips.
"Oh yes she did. Remember who you are talking about. She researched everything and everyone. I have a feeling that when she began to feel deeply for me, she researched," Narcissa smiled when she remembered Draco telling her that he confided her birthday in Hermione. They never really spoke of Narcissa's birthday. Just a gift exchange here or there but nothing monumental, and Narcissa was just fine with that. She got her witch, every day was a gift then. She took a deep breath and then reached over and placed a hand on Harry's shoulder.
"Thank you for the drive down memory lane, as the muggles say, but can we stop there?" Narcissa smiled but hoped Harry would not trudge up any more memories.
"Of Course, I am only on my way to give my substitute mom her birthday gift," Harry smiled as he patted his pocket. Narcissa smirked and lifted her wand.
"Give her this from me then please," Narcissa said and Harry took the large flat gift. Harry nodded with a smile and cast a feather weight on the large gift and let Narcissa open the door for him.
"OH Harry," she called out and she found his green eyes, "Stand back when she opens is it, but make it subtle," she instructed. He cocked his head, but a smile stretched on his lips, "Oh and watch everything… what HER. I want to see it all later," He chuckled and went to the corridor and then to the stairs to Bella's class.
One Hour Later:
"CISSY! There better not be a kid in here I am about to go the fuck off!" Bella roared. Narcissa was in the office quickly doing the dreaded paperwork on Antonia Clarke. She signed off and everything was in its place as she walked into her infirmary. She walked out with a wizarding camera. She lifted it before Bella found her and a snap and flash. She smirked as Bella, stood there, covered. Not only was she covered, she was covered in cake, chocolate cake, and chocolate icing, and a filling in the middle of the cake. It was a nice stasis warmed gooey caramel.
Bellatrix Lestrange… No Delacour stood before her, in her infirmary covered in melting Carmel, and Chocolate cake and icing. Narcissa let out a belly laugh and the child in her seemed to like the resonance of her laughter too as her eyes flew open.
"What?" Bella cooled and went into protective mode. Narcissa placed Bella's hand on Narcissa's belly. She looked at Bella once more. Bella knew she knew she was the culprit of the prank. And saw the woman, now had moving photographic evidence. Oh yes, Narcissa was swimming in joy… but.
"Wow," Bella whispered as she felt the baby move. Narcissa smiled at her sister. Bellatrix Lestrange, scourge upon magical and muggle Brittan was placated, by a single Muggleborn, a blood traitor, and a half breed. Now before her, Bella practically bowed down for the little girl in Narcissa's belly.
"I don't give a fuck what you did today, make it happen again," Bella whispered as Narcissa laughed, and then the baby moved again. Narcissa was absolutely captivated by this interaction and then doors opened slightly. Narcissa saw the newcomer and slowly levitated the camera to her. Bella placed her gooey, cake plastered head to Narcissa's stomach. The newcomer got camera and started snapping off pictures but one picture in particular. The picture, so to speak of she snaps off many wizarding pictures of Aunt Bella cuddling Narcissa's belly. Narcissa looked up and silently motioned the arrival to come. Fleur snapped another moving picture, but Bella didn't seem to see or care. Narcissa looked back at Fleur conveying their thoughts. Till this day she had to break her eyes away from the Veela, But Narcissa smiled when she saw that sweet smile beam at her. Part of her, a part tied to Hermione loved that damned woman incomprehensibly. Fleur tip toed over and her eyes softened, and she heard Bella whisper to the baby inside. She smiled from time to time as the bundle would slide over the surface of Narcissa's abdomen. It caused a strange sensation, but then once that happened, she reached for Fleur and brought her hand. It was like the child reached out and tried to touch them. Wanted to know them. Narcissa smiled.
"She knows her godmothers, and caretakers," Narcissa closed her eyes and then opened them.
"Bells its time to clean you up," Narcissa cast the most powerful scourgify on Bella. The woman squeaked, and growled, but in a moment, she was rid of cake and caramel. Narcissa smiled.
"I want that photo, and all others," Bella said, and Narcissa narrowed her eyes and grinned.
"What will it cost you Bells?" Narcissa bargained"
"I will be a universal babysitter until the child is able so that she is capable of such tasks, until them no… the photo doesn't make it to Rita Skeeter," Bella growled. Narcissa smiled but didn't relent.
"I have Dobby, who loves kids, and wants this one born ASAP so he can love it to death, worship it, and take care of it. What need do I have of your offer?" Narcissa played.
Then a snap. It tore through Narcissa. She stood up, and then grabbed her chest. All of a sudden, the mirth was taken from the room. As Narcissa sink to her knees to be caught by Bella. Fleur took her wand, as Bella ushered Narcissa to one of her Beds.
Snap!
Narcissa moaned as she felt it again. She felt her right hand claw her chest. She let the moment pass but didn't think it was over, and she was thankful she never settled. Another wave of pain.
"Bella!" Narcissa screamed out as she huddled in on herself as Bella clutched Narcissa to her on the bed as tightly as possible and Fleur ran a diagnostic but found nothing. Nothing except for extreme magical influxes. It was as if the woman had normal readings, then skyrocketed to double if not more than her ow magical readings. Fleur reached Narcissa and huddled around her body and Bella clutched the focal point, her hand closest to her chest.
"Please," Narcissa whimpered as she went through her panic cocooned by the two witches before her "Hermione," then another shift in her pain. Her chest seemed to have something alive in it and then when Bella tried to get one of her wands, to track it, but it shot off not wanting to be read, or scanned. Narcissa dropped to the bed exhausted after howls of agony. Narcissa, after several moments smiled with a mischievous, delirious, pain, then…. almost… gone.
"Bells," croaked aloud the weak voice of Narcissa and Bella came to her sister's side. She looked up toward her in a strange a voice in Bella's arms. She looked down into Narcissa's, and saw blue unfocused eyes, lackluster… dead. She looked to Fleur and Fleur reached out seeing the same and clutched Bella's hand.
"I still have the photo Bells, heh," Narcissa chuckled triumphantly. Then she looked to her sister, brown on blue. She caressed Bella's cheek smiling at her. Then she liked to Fleur. Part of her heart broke. A tear slipped from her eye. Then nothing.
