One Night Stand was live at the San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego. The opening match of the pay-per-view was a Falls Count Anywhere match between Jeff Hardy and Umaga. The pair fought around the arena, including in the audience stands before they made their way out to a car park. The match ended when Hardy performed a "Swanton Bomb" (a high-angle senton bomb) on Umaga from the top of a truck and pinned him for the victory.
The next match was a Singapore Cane match between Big Show, Tommy Dreamer, WWE Tag Team Champion John Morrison, CM Punk, and Chavo Guerrero. The match started with Big Show dominating, until the other competitors teamed together to knock him out the ring. During the course of the match, Guerrero was aided by Bam Neely and Morrison's tag team partner The Miz helped Morrison. After Big Show incapacitated the other wrestlers, including Neely and The Miz, he hit Dreamer with a kendo stick and pinned him.
John Cena faced John "Bradshaw" Layfield in a First Blood match, in which the winner is the wrestler who makes his opponent bleed first. Both men utilized weapons in their attempts to win, including steel steps, the steel barricade, and chairs. The match ended Cena executed his STF submission hold on Layfield while using a steel chain to draw blood.
An "I Quit" match between Melina and Beth Phoenix was aired fourth. Both women used a variety of submission moves throughout the course of the match, which Phoenix won by making Melina say "I quit".
The first main event match of the event was a Stretcher match contested between Shawn Michaels and Batista. The match ended with Batista rolling Michaels across the finish line on the stretcher.
The following match was a Last Man Standing match for the WWE Championship between Triple H and Randy Orton, in which the objective is to ensure the opponent cannot answer a ten count. Orton took control of the match by using the steel ring steps and then tried to execute the RKO on Triple H; Triple H countered by pushing him over the top rope. Orton legitimately broke his collarbone landing on the outside, and could not answer the ten count, allowing Triple H to retain the WWE Championship.
And now it was time for the World Heavyweight Championship match.
In the arena, the bell was rung as tables, laders, and chair were set up. "The following contest is a TLC match for the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!" Justin Roberts announced and the crowd popped.
DONG!
The fans popped loudly as Undertaker's theme plays and the Deadman comes out, looking to get the World Heavyweight Championship back once again. "Introducing the challenger, from Death Valley, weighing 299lbs...THE UNDERTAKER!" The crowd popped for the Phenom who enters the ring and takes off his coat and hat.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
Kick Ass plays and out comes the Champion. Bladewolf looks at where the World Heavyweight Championship was hanging before returning his gaze to Undertaker. Since he had to do live events and house shows, Bladewolf couldn't show up for the past few weeks, so he played mind games with everyone, sending lightning bolts to the ring and stage, especially when Vickie Guerrero announced that if Undertaker looses then he must be banished from the WWE.
"And from Death Valley, weighing 275lbs, he is the World Heavyweight Champion... THE BLADEWOLF!" Bladewolf enters the ring, staring down his older brother as he pulls his hood down, causing thunder and lightning to be heard before he takes off his cost and adjusts his elbow pads.
"EXCUSE ME!" A familiar, annoying voice said and the two brothers turned their attention to the stage where Vickie Guerrero came out with Edge. "Sorry to interrupt your match, gentlemen. But Edge and I will be at ringside to watch." They made their way down the ramp and stopped at the commentary table.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Bladewolf and Undertaker turned their attention to each other, great reluctance on Bladewolf's part as if he wins then he banishes his own brother.
The two brothers locked up and had a test of strength before breaking it then circled one another before Bladewolf strikes first with a right hand to his brother's chest, then delivers a knee to the gut of the Undertaker. Bladewolf goes for a German Suplex but Undertaker fights out of it with elbows to the side of Bladewolf's head, causing the 6-time World Champion to back off. Undertaker delivers a hard right to Bladewolf's skull, causing the World Heavyweight Champion to stumble back into a corner where Undertaker delivers lefts and rights to the gut and skull of Bladewolf, forcing him to cover up.
Undertaker works over Bladewolf's right arm, bringing his shoulder into it before he twists around it and begins heading onto the ropes for Old School. Undertaker walks along the top rope before jumping off...AND CONNECTS WITH OLD SCHOOL!
Undertaker grabs his little brother and Irish whips him off the ropes, looking for a clothesline but Bladewolf ducks it and Undertaker turns around... INTO A SPEAR FROM BLADEWOLF! Bladewolf gets to his feet before delivering a hard stomp to the chest of Undertaker then exits the ring, grabbing a ladder and tosses it into the ring before getting back in. Bladewolf sets the ladder up on the turnbuckles and grabs his brother before he Irish whips him...STRAIGHT INTO THE LADDER!
Bladewolf exits the ring and grabs a steel chair before sliding back in as his brother gets to his feet...AND WHACKS THE CHAIR OFF THE SKULL OF THE UNDERTAKER! Bladewolf does more chair shots across Undertaker's body before tossing the chair aside and wipes some sweat off his forehead then delivers a hard stomp to Undertaker's chest. Bladewolf pulls Undertaker to his feet and goes to Irish whipnhim into the ladder but Undertaker reverses...AND SENDS BLADEWOLF FACE FIRST INTO THE LADDERS!
Undertaker flips his hair back before he grabs the ladder and begins setting it up then begins climbing it but Bladewolf climbs up on the opposite side, but Undertaker pushes him into the other ladder set up on the turnbuckle but Bladewolf bounces off and then pushes the other ladder down and Undertaker jumps off before he can be hurt from the impact. The two brothers trade rights back and fourth before Bladewolf clotheslines Undertaker over the top rope and sending him to the outside. Bladewolf exits the ring and grabs a nearby steel chair, raising it to whack Undertaker but the Deadman boots Bladewolf in the gut, causing him to drop the chair. Undertaker grabs the chair and looks at his brother... BEFORE DRIVING THE CHAIR INTO BLADEWOLF'S GUT!
Undertaker unloads with chair shots across Bladewolf's back before eventually stopping. He drops the chair and then grabs Bladewolf, tossing him into the ring before having him lay on the apron in a familiar way. Undertaker grabs the chair and places it on Bladewolf's chest before he gets onto the apron...AND GOES FOR THE LEG DROP-NO! BLADEWOLF PUSHED THE CHAIR UP IN TIME! Undertaker's leg smacked off the chair, causing the Deadman to fall to a knee in pain as he grits his teeth.
Bladewolf rolls out of the ring...AND DRIVES CHAIR INTO UNDERTAKER'S LEG! Undertaker goes down from the pain as Bladewolf unloads on Undertaker's leg with the chair before dropping it then rolls back into the ring.
Bladewolf gets to his feet in the ring before he rebounds off the ropes, runs back...BEFORE LEAPING OVER THE ROPES FOR A SUICIDE DIVE!
Bladewolf struggles to his feet and grabs Undertaker, delivering a few hard rights to his skull as they walk around to the announce table. Undertaker three a hard right at Bladewolf but the World Heavyweight Champion retaliates with a knee to Undertaker's gut before throwing him onto a table. Bladewolf then gets on top of the announce table before leaping off...AND HITS AN ELBOW DROP ON UNDERTAKER THROUGH THE TABLE!
Bladewolf rolls onto his back before getting to his feet. He grabs Undertaker and sends him into the steel steps. Bladewolf flips his hair back before walking towards his brother, raising his right hand, signalling for a Chokeslam. Undertaker gets to his feet and turns around... INTO A GOOZLE! Bladewolf stands in front of another table before lifting Undertaker up...AND HITS A CHOKESLAM THROUGH THE TABLE!
Bladewolf falls against the apron, exhausted, before rolling into the ring and begins setting up another ladder...WHEN CURT HAWKINS AND ZACK RYDER COME IN AND ATTACK! Bladewolf fights them off before grabbing Hawkins, lifts him up...AND HITS A CHOKESLAM! He grabs Ryder and stands near the ropes before lifting Ryder up...AND CHOKESLAMS HIM THROUGH A TABLE OUTSIDE THE RING!
Bladewolf sees his brother slowly getting to his feet and exits the ring, grabbing two tables and slides them into the ring. He enters the ring and sets the tables up on each other as Undertaker gets in. Bladewolf goes for a hard eight but Undertaker blocks and delivers an hard right of his own to Bladewolf's skull. Bladewolf retaliates by ducking another right before grabbing Undertaker from behind and hits a German Suplex.
Bladewolf looks up at the title and grabs the ladder before he begins climbing it but Undertaker gets to his feet and walks around to his brother, grabbing him onto his shoulders and pulls him off the ladder...BEFORE HITTING A LAST RIDE THROUGH THE TWO TABLES! The title was now clear for Undertaker to grab, he was about to climb the ladder when suddenly Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely run down and slide in with steel chairs but Undertaker boots them in the face before ducking two chair shots from Hawkins and Ryder, causing the chairs to hit each other.
Undertaker takes out the Familia before he begins climbing the ladder, unaware Bladewolf had gotten to his feet. He sees Undertaker climbing to the top and then sees four tables set up on each other outside the ring. With great reluctance, Bladewolf pushes the ladder over...AND SENDS UNDERTAKER THROUGH THE TABLES!
Bladewolf sets the ladder up and climbs the ladder slowly, reluctant to do this. Bladewolf gets to the top ad looks from the title to the knocked out form of his older brother.
"I'm sorry, brother." Bladewolf says before he reaches up...AND UNHOOKS THE TITLE! BLADEWOLF RETAINS THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Kick Ass plays to a mixed reaction as Bladewolf holds his title close. "Here is Your winner and STILL WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION... THE BLADEWOLF!"
"EXCUSE ME!" Vickie screeched, getting everyone's attention. "Bladewolf, don't go anywhere, you are defending your title again in a No DQ match against... EDGE! Now ring the bell!"
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Hawkins, Ryder, Chavo, and Neely pull Bladewolf off the ladder as Edge slides in...AND HITS A SPEAR! A referee runs down as Edge hooks the legs! ONE! TWO! THREE! WE HAVE A NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Edge's theme plays as Bladewolf layer on his back,Edge grabbing the World Heavyweight Title and celebrates with La Familia. Bladewolf slowly gets onto his knees, glaring in disbelief. He beats his brother, banishes him, and then it all gets taken away from him by Edge?! Bladewolf couldn't believe it, he did all of this fr nothing, this match was set up so Edge didn't have to deal with Undertaker, then easily took him down from the exhaustion Bladewolf has from the match.
One Night Stand went off the air with Edge being the victor here.
I don't know why Undertaker had to leave WWE at the time, did he have an injury or something? Anyway, Bladewolf is no longer the World Heavyweight Champion, but you can guarantee that the Wolf will get his revenge.
