Chapter 52

With Otogi

Otogi sighed as he gazed at Honda sitting two seats in front of him. It was beyond unfair that the uncool clueless Honda had managed to score before he had. Otogi was the one with the killer looks that made girls swoon as he walked by. Not to mention the cool attitude. So, why the hell had he not already scored?

Otogi sighed once more as he tried to focus on Chono-Sensei's presentation. He had to do something. Honda could not get away with having gotten farther with a girl than he had. He just, he just couldn't.

Otogi was drawn from his musings by the sound of the bell ringing. Otogi quickly shoved his belongings back into his bag before he darted out of the room. He needed to find Mana. And fast. This was a competition that he was NOT going to be the loser of.

And yes, a part of Otogi knew that it wasn't a competition. And if it had been him who scored already then it probably wouldn't be a competition at all. Problem was it was HONDA that scored. What's next Joey scoring? YUGI scoring? Otogi snorted, yeah...if that happened Otogi would become the literal laughing stock. And that would be completely unacceptable.

There was nothing else to it though. Mana and him were going to score. Today.

But first things first Otogi needed to track Mana down and get her alone. Otogi sighed, where the hell was going to be the best place for him and Mana to get down and dirty here at school? Or maybe we don't have to stay at school? Maybe we can get out of here. Ditch school and have a killer second date that totally ends with me and Mana finally doing it. Otogi thought to himself.

And the more he thought about it the better an idea it became. Otogi jogged down the hallway before skidding to a halt as he caught a glimpse of Mana heading out of the computer lab. Otogi grinned as he jogged over to her and slipped his arms around her waist from behind. "Hey babe." Otogi purred which made a couple of other girls nearby giggle and shoot jealous glances in Mana's direction. Otogi smirked. That's right Mana you are one very lucky girl. A girl who is about to get even luckier. You just don't know it yet. Otogi thought before he placed a light kiss on the crook of Mana's neck. The giggling increased.

Mana lightly swatted at Otogi's hands. "Knock it off Otogi. I've got to be getting to class." Mana said.

"Or maybe you don't." Otogi whispered in her ear.

Mana frowned as she managed to pull herself out of Otogi's arms and give him a pointed look, "What the hell are you even talking about Otogi?" Mana asked.

Otogi took another step closer to Mana, his hand lightly brushing her beautiful brown hair out of her face allowing him to stare into her beautiful green eyes. "Go out with me." Otogi purred.

Mana rolled her eyes, "Last I checked I was. A decision that sometimes you seriously make me regret." Mana said.

Otogi rolled his eyes, "Look. I wanted to take you out on another date. That's all." Otogi said.

Mana sighed, "Okay, maybe we can hang out for a little bit after school or something." Mana replied.

Otogi shook his head as his arms slipped back around Mana's waist, "I don't want to wait until after school. Something always comes up. Please, play hookie with me and together we will have an amazing day. Just the two of us." Otogi pleased.

Mana sighed, "I honestly don't think this is a good idea." Mana said.

Otogi smirked, "I don't hear a no. And besides, you never miss school. Its one day and only a partial one at that. I'll make it up to you. I promise." Otogi said.

Mana sighed, "Fine. You win. We'll leave school and go out on our date. But, I'm warning you I will never do this again." Mana declared.

Otogi's smirk broadened. "That's great. Go and grab your stuff out of your locker and meet me out front." Otogi declared before he sprinted off to his own locker.

Now all he had to do was score, which should be simple enough.

Otogi grabbed his stuff out of his locker before jogging out the front doors, his car keys in hand as his mind tried to race over the best ways to get Mana and him to score. Maybe something simple like takeout and watching Netflix back at his house might be for the best. That would give them the perfect opportunity to do some kissing...and touching...and clothes could begin to fall off. Otogi smirked, yup. That would be the plan.

Otogi was leaning against the side of his car when Mana came jogging out of the school. She came to a stop beside Otogi's car and tossed her bag into the back seat. "I cannot believe I let you talk me into this Otogi." Mana hissed.

Otogi just shook his head fondly as he opened the door for Mana to climb inside, "After you." Otogi said.

Mana rolled her eyes and climbed inside. "I'm serious if you get me in trouble with Mahado because the school called and told him that I missed class than you will be in seriously deep shit Otogi." Mana growled.

Otogi chuckled as he climbed into the car and started the engine, "Don't worry. I'll be sure to keep that in mind." Otogi replied as he put the car in drive and drove away from Domino High, heading back to his house.

Once Otogi had pulled out onto the road and Mana stopped pouting she asked, "Okay, so where exactly are we even going?" Mana asked.

Otogi sighed, "Well, I was thinking that it would probably give us the best chance of not getting caught if we headed back to my house. I was thinking we could order some takeout and watch Netflix together. Just the two of us." Otogi said.

Mana sighed, "Fine. We'll do that. But seriously Otogi...if that's what you wanted to do there is no reason we couldn't have waited until after school had gotten out for the day." Mana said.

Otogi rolled his eyes, "But if I'd waited until after school either you'd have other plans or my friends would be harassing us. Either way we wouldn't end up actually being alone together like I want." Otogi said.

Mana sighed once more and the car fell silent as Otogi drove. It only took him about ten or so minutes to get back to his house and park the car. Otogi ran around and opened Mana's car door for her before the two made their way inside.

"Why don't you order the two of us something to eat and pick out a netflix movie you want to watch. I'll go change into something a bit more comfortable and grab us some drinks." Otogi said.

Mana nodded and headed down the stairs. Otogi watched her leave before he turned and sprinted up the stairs and into his own room first. Otogi glanced around the room briefly before he quickly began to tidy up so that once him and Mana did end up making their way up here Mana wouldn't notice that his room was a complete mess. Once Otogi was satisfied with his room he quickly changed out of his school uniform and into a tight fitting pair of dark wash jeans and a black tank top. He almost decided to toss on one of his trademark vests before deciding against it. No reason to give Mana even more clothes to have to pull off.

Once Otogi was satisfied with his appearance he headed down the stairs and back into the kitchen, grabbing two clear crystal glass glasses out of the cupboard and opened the fridge to pull out some soda for the two to drink. Otogi's eyes briefly rested on the bottle of vodka that was in the refrigerator.

"Are you coming Otogi?" Mana called out from down in the basement.

"Yeah, I'll be right down." Otogi called back before he pulled out the bottle of soda and his father's bottle of vodka and set both on the counter. As terrible as this was alcohol would only help smooth things along. Mana was way too uptight and proper. A few drinks might allow her to relax some and would only increase Otogi's chances of success.

And it was with that thought in mind that Otogi poured a splash of Vodka into one of the glasses before adding soda to both and heading down the stairs. "Here you go my dear." Otogi said as he handed Mana the spiked soda glass.

"About time you got here." Mana muttered as she took a big gulp of soda.

Otogi smirked as he took a drink of his own soda before he sat down on the couch beside her, his arm coming to rest around her shoulders. "So, what are we watching?" Otogi asked.

Mana rolled her eyes, "Well, if you hadn't taken so long getting changed you might have seen what I picked." Mana replied before she hit the play button and took another swig of her drink.

With Akefia

Akefia sighed as he closed his notebook. Thank god that damn lecture was already over. He hated math but sadly it was a college requirement although why math was still required even at this level Akefia genuinely didn't know.

Perhaps in the next panel we can draw our math teacher with a protractor jammed into his jugular. Or into his eye socket.

Akefia snorted. That actually isn't a terrible idea Zorc. I mean, what person has not fantasized about murdering their math teacher?

You know that I'm right. Now, please tell me that we are done with these pointless lectures for today.

Akefia sighed. Yes, we are done with the lectures. But, there is one other thing that I want to do before we head home for the day. Okay?

As if I have a choice in the matter.

Akefia snorted before he turned and headed down towards the science wing. "Yo Akefia! Wait up." Akefia paused turning to see Marik jogging towards him.

"Can I help you with something Marik?" Akefia asked.

Marik came to a stop beside Akefia, quirking a brow in question. "I thought you and I were friends. I didn't think I needed a specific reason to stop and talk to my friend." Marik replied, "Why are you in the middle of something?" Marik asked.

Akefia sighed as he glanced down the corridor before his eyes flicked back over to Marik. "Actually now that I think about it, perhaps you could help me with a little, shall we say, side project that I'm working on right now." Akefia said.

Marik snorted, "Do I want to know what this little side project of yours even entails?" Marik asked.

Akefia shrugged, "Probably not. But, all I would need from you would be for you to stand lookout. I'll do all the hard work." Akefia said.

Marik sighed but shrugged, "I've got nothing better to do with my time. What are we stealing? Or is this one of those things where I'm better off having plausible deniability?" Marik asked.

Akefia smirked, "Plausible deniability never hurt anyone my friend." Akefia replied.

Marik snorted as the two began to make their way down the hall, "Then, in that case please forget I even asked." Marik replied.

The two headed into the science wing before Akefia took the stairs which led down into the basement of the building, with Marik following close behind. Akeifa headed down the sparsely lit corridor before he came to a stop outside the anatomy lab. Akefia turned and gave Marik an almost feral grin, "You just wait out here for a moment...I need to ask Dr. Goat a quick question." Akefia said.

Marik nodded as he leaned against the door frame. "Okay. You do that. And I'll let you know if anyone...like Dr. Goat, turns up while you are asking your question." Marik replied.

Akefia chuckled before he slipped into the lab. His eyes briefly flicked over the cadaver sitting partially dissected on the stainless steel table before he walked past the dead bodies and over to a cabinet at the end of the room, within which there several jars of varying sizes filled with Formaldehyde preserved human organs. Dr. Goat kept several of each organ on hand because through the course of his his advanced anatomy lectures which were targeted primarily at students looking to go into the medical field he would be cutting into several of those organs to let the students see what exactly was inside.

Akefia pulled out a lock pick and began to fiddle with the lock on the cabinet. It wasn't a particularly complicated lock and within a matter of moments Akefia had the lock picked and the cabinet swung open.

Akefia's eyes briefly slid over the different jars containing the different organs in all their macabre glory before his eyes landed on the reason he had broken into the lab to begin with. A jar containing a human heart. Akefia grabbed the jar and pulled it out of the cabinet and set it on one of the empty exam tables before closing the cabinet back up again and placing the jar with the heart into his backpack and zipping the bag back up again.

Now lets get out of here. You still need to verify the identity of your little lover boy so you can deliver your gift.

Akefia snorted. I know Zorc. I know. Don't worry. I'm on it. Akefia replied.

Good because lets face it. I know your fans love the comics but don't you think they would also love to actually see your little lover boy covered in blood?

Akefia chuckled. I know I would. Guess when the time comes it depends on how the pictures turn out. They might be too good to actually share. Akefia mused as he made his way back out of the lab, pulling the door closed behind him.

"Did you get to ask your question?" Marik asked as he idly examined his nails.

Akefia nodded, "Yup sure did. Dr. Goat was very helpful." Akefia replied.

Marik chuckled, "Well, I'm glad that he was able to answer all of your questions. Now, lets get out of here. I don't know about you, but math always seems to make me hungry. Want to grab a bite to eat?" Marik suggested.

Akefia shrugged, "Sure. Sounds good to me." Akefia replied.

"Great." Marik replied and the two headed out of the science building and over to the cafe on campus to grab a couple of sandwiches.

With Akamkanon

Aknamkanon sighed as he sat in the uncomfortable plastic chairs at Domino General's emergency room. He could not believe that Karim had actually gotten into a car accident. He'd been called because the car that Karim had been driving was one of Sennen Inc's company vehicles so the car was registered in Aknamkanon's name. Right now Karim was in emergency surgery.

Akamkanon stood up before he made his way over to the nurse manning the counter, he really was hoping for some kind of an update. Karim had been a close friend of his since they had met in college. Hell, they were close enough friends that Karim was actually the best man at his and Amara's wedding. He was godfather to Karim's three year old son, Amir.

"Hello, excuse me. I'm here about my friend Karim Rashida who was in a car accident about two hours ago. I was hoping to get an..."

"Your friend is still in surgery. Please have a seat in the waiting room and a nurse will be with you once we have an update." The nurse briskly replied, cutting off Aknamkanon's question.

Aknamkanon sighed, "Do you have any idea how much longer he'll be in surgery for?" Aknamkanon asked.

The nurse glanced up from the computer, giving Aknamkanon a pointed look. "Look, sir. I understand that you are worried about your friend. But right now I can't give you any more information. Your friend is in surgery and the doctors are doing their best. We will let you know more as soon as we know more. Until then I'm afraid that you are going to have to be patient."

Aknamkanon nodded, "Thank you for your assistance." Aknamkanon replied before he turned and made his way back to his seat, once more sinking down into the unforgiving plastic chair with his head resting in his hands.

To be perfectly honest Aknamkanon couldn't even think about what the world would be like without Karim in it. And he wasn't just referring to the brilliant businessman Karim was. All Aknamkanon did know was that the world would most certainly be a poorer place for it.

Aknamkanon sighed as he forced himself to sit up straighter, the uncomfortable feeling of the plastic digging into his back helping to ground Aknamkanon in the present. He shouldn't be thinking this way. Karim was not dead. Right now he was in surgery fighting for his life. And if he knew anything about Karim it was that he was a fighter. He wouldn't give up, no matter how high the odds were stacked against him.

So, what Aknamkanon needed to do was have faith in his friend. Faith in his friend and in the doctors who were currently doing everything in their power to save Karim's life.

That. And wait.

With Hasan

Hasan sighed as he parked the car that he drove on behalf of the Sennen family before climbing out and making his way up to the office where he had been summoned. Ever since Akunadin Kesir had arrived in Domino City he had been the chauffeur assigned to drive Mr. Kesir around. Normally that wouldn't be such a big deal. Driving was sort of what he did for a living. Problem is that right now he was finding himself sinking deeper and deeper into a mess that he couldn't ever see himself climbing out of.

Hasan lightly knocked on the office door and waited a brief moment before he was told to enter. Hasan walked in and closed the door behind him as he waited for Mr. Kesir to speak.

"Thank you for being so prompt Hasan. You are certainly an asset to my brother's company." Akunadin said from his place behind the desk.

"Is there something that you needed from me sir?" Hasan asked evenly doing his best to keep his utter and complete hatred of this man from spilling over into his tone.

"Why as it so happens, yes Hasan. There is something that I need from you. You see, I need you to deliver a message for me." Akunadin said.

Hasan sighed, "And what message would you be having me deliver? And to whom?" Hasan asked.

"I want to you deliver a message to my delectable little friend that we picked up very early Saturday morning. I'm sure you remember the one." Akunadin said.

Hasan clenched his fists tightly at his side. "Oh? And what message would you have me deliver to young master Yami?" Hasan asked.

Akunadin grinned, "Why simply that I had an absolutely wonderful time this past Saturday and that I was hoping to see him again. Tomorrow. I would love it if he would skip school and instead come and spend the day with me. Back up at my hotel. Tell him that he can make the necessary excuses because I don't plan on having him home before 5. You'll pick him up like you would if he was going to school only instead of bringing him to school you'll bring him to me. Then when I'm done you can drive him back home." Akunadin said.

Hasan clenched his teeth as he glared hatefully at the man standing at the desk in front of him. "And if I were to refuse?" Hasan asked.

Akunadin chuckled, "You won't. You and I both know what a terrible thing it would be if my brother were to discover your little...shall we say white powder addiction. Now, if you'd like me to continue to keep your little secret you will do exactly as I say. Deliver my message to Yami and you will pick him as I have said at 650 just like if you were going to be bringing him to school." Akunadin replied.

Hasan was quiet for several moments as he tried to force himself to calm down as Akunadin casually reminded him of what precisely he had hanging over his head. He couldn't afford to lose his job which meant he was stuck. And worse still Akunadin KNEW he was stuck. He knew that Hasan wouldn't do anything to risk getting himself reported for Cocaine usage.

"Very well. I will deliver your message. Is there anything else you need sir?" Hasan asked.

Akunadin just shook his head, "No. That will be all Hasan. You are dismissed." Akunadin replied before he turned his attention back onto his work allowing Hasan to show himself out.

Hasan made his way back down to the limo and for several moments he just rested with his head against the steering wheel. He could try and lie to himself and say that all Yami and Akunadin were doing was just talking. Problem was that Hasan knew damn well that was a lie. Akunadin was a sick bastard. He was also a dangerous one and he had no good reason to be alone in his hotel room with a sixteen year old boy.

But if he didn't do what Akunadin said then he'd lose his job. And more importantly losing his job would mean losing his work visa...and he would ultimately end up deported. Hasan was not stupid enough to believe for a millisecond that if Akunadin had to reveal his addiction to Aknamkanon that he wasn't going to call and report him to ICE.

Hasan sighed. He absolutely could not get himself deported. He had worked too hard for too long to be able to come to this country in the first place. And one of the conditions for him remaining in this country was that he continued to work for Sennen Inc. Losing his job due to abusing an illegal substance would be the end of his better life for himself in this country.

Which meant as terrible as it was he had no choice but to continue to play Akunadin's game. No matter how sick that made him.

He sat up just as his phone rang once more. Hasan sighed before he answered, "Yes Mr. Kesir. How can I be of service."

"Yes Hasan. I just thought of something else that I wanted you to relay to Yami." Akunadin said.

With Joey

Joey sighed as he slowly stood up from his chair, stretching. It felt so good to be finished with another day of school. He really did hate attending but he also knew that graduating school and getting into a good college was the only way he was going to end up making a better life for himself so no matter how boring school may seem he would put up with hit.

"Another day down only 39 more to go. But whose counting?" Honda muttered as he stood up and stretched himself.

Joey snorted, "Certainly not you." Joey muttered.

Honda just shrugged, "What can I say. I'm looking forward to summer break. Isn't everyone?" Honda asked.

Joey sighed, "Yeah, I guess." Joey said as she slung his bag over his shoulder and followed Honda out of the classroom.

Honda glanced around, frowning, "Any idea where Otogi took off to? He wasn't in chem and I didn't see him at lunch." Honda said.

Joey shrugged, "No clue. I didn't see em en English. He probably ditched." Joey replied.

Honda turned and gave Joey a pointed look, "Speaking of lunch. I didn't see you or Anzu under the tree either. Were you...having some quality time together?" Honda asked waggling his eyebrows suggestively.

Joey socked Honda in the shoulder. "Lay off. Fer yer information me n Zu was in da library durin lunch. Zu was helpin' me ta study fer my history test. If I wanna get inta a good college den I gotta get good grades." Joey hissed.

"Alright. Alright. Sorry I asked." Honda said, holding his hands up in mock surrender.

"Ya betta be. An so help me if I hear ya talkin' bout Zu like dat again." Joey growled, shaking his fist threateningly in Honda's direction.

"I said I was sorry dude. It won't happen again." Honda said.

"It betta not." Joey growled.

"Ahem."

Joey and Honda both turned to face the voice that had cleared their throat to see Counselor Pegasus standing in the hallway. "Ah, thank you gentlemen, now I was wondering if I could have a few moments of Joey-boys time." Pegasus said in his usual flamboyant way.

Honda just shrugged before he turned and headed towards the main doors. "Guess I'll see you later Joey." Honda called out before he walked off.

"Later Honda. Oh an can ya tell Zu where I am if she asks." Joey called out.

"Sure thing bud." Honda replied.

"Good, now Joey-boy, if you would be so kind as to come into my office so we could discuss a few things." Pegasus said.

Joey nodded, "Sure." Joey replied before he followed Pegasus down the hall and into the guidance office. He'd been there many times before so didn't really think anything about the décor before he plopped himself down on one of the beanbag chairs Pegasus kept. "So, what didya wanna see me bout?" Joey asked.

"As I said Joey-boy I just wanted to talk to you about a few things. Nothing bad. And don't worry. You aren't in any trouble." Pegasus replied as he took a seat on his roller-chair which had his famous red blazer resting along the backrest.

"Alright. Shoot." Joey replied.

Pegasus was quiet for a moment as he looked at Joey before he finally spoke. "I wanted to talk to you about your court case which is pending for tomorrow. Are you prepared for the case?" Pegasus asked.

Joey shrugged, "I guess. Ta be perfectly honest if Yug hadn't a mentioned it dis mornin I probably woulda forgotten all bout it." Joey replied.

Pegasus sighed, "Yes, well thank goodness that Yugi-boy was kind enough to remind you about the case. Do you have the proper clothes to wear to the trial? I know you may not put much stock in fashion Joey-boy but showing up to things like this properly dressed goes a long way to helping you to make the right impression. You want the judge to see you as a responsible young man who made a mistake. Not a hoodlum who is nothing but trouble." Pegasus said.

Joey shrugged again, "Zu said dat she was gonna take me shoppin afta school ta get me sometin ta wear." Joey replied.

Pegasus nodded, "Good. That's good to hear. I trust that Anzu will help you to pick out the appropriate outfit for you to wear." Pegasus said.

"Right. So ah...is dat everythin?" Joey asked.

"Not quite. I was actually also wanting to know. Do you have anyone going with you tomorrow?" Pegasus asked.

Joey shook his head. "Nah. I mean, me an Yug are sharin da same public defenda but nah. I'm going by myself." Joey replied.

Pegasus shook his head, "Oh no Joey-boy, that will not do at all. Not at all. I will tell you what I will do I will pick you up at 8 tomorrow morning and we can go and get something to eat before I bring to the courthouse by 9. Does that sound acceptable to you?" Pegasus asked.

Joey glanced up at Pegasus, his mouth hanging open in apparent shock. "Uh, yeah...dat would be great. I mean, wow. Tanks Pegasus." Joey said.

Pegasus chuckled, "Not a problem Joey-boy. Just I need to know which of your friends houses you will be staying at tonight so I know where to go and pick you up tomorrow morning." Pegasus said.

Joey sighed, "Well I was gonna ask Honda if I could crash at his house tonight. But I dunno quite yet. I tink Yugs is out cuz he'll probably be up mosta da night stressin bout the trial." Joey said.

"Or you could just come over to my house tonight and sleep on my pullout. Not like you haven't done that a couple of times before." Pegasus suggested.

Joey chuckled, "Yeah. Dat would work to. And den ya wouldn't have to pick me up anywhere." Joey replied.

Pegasus nodded, "Excellent. Then its settled. Tonight you will come over to my house and crash on the couch. If the plan changes for any reason I just ask that you text me and let me know where you are so I know where to pick up you at." Pegasus said.

"Kay." Joey replied before he rose to his feet.

Pegasus chuckled, "Don't worry. I wont' keep you from meeting up with your friend." Pegasus replied.

Joey nodded before he headed for the door.

"Oh, and Joey-boy. One last thing." Pegasus called out.

Joey paused just inside the doorway, "An whats dat?" Joey asked.

"It might be in your best interest for you to avoid getting into any fights in the future. You were arrested for fighting once. You almost got yourself killed by being involved in an underground fight ring and when I ran into you out in the hall you looked like you were picking a fight with your friend. Just something you might want to keep in mind." Pegasus said.

Joey glanced down at his shoes in embarrassment, "I'll uh...keep dat in mind." Joey muttered before he turned and headed out the door to go meet up with Anzu.

With Yami

Yami was very relieved when he and Atemu were able to climb back into the car and head back home where he fully intended to lock himself in his room and not come out again. Atemu, once he had pulled the door closed behind him and the car pulled away from the curb turned his attention back onto Yami.

"Hey? You okay?" Atemu whispered, lightly resting his hand on Yami's shoulder.

Yami sighed. A part of him wished that Atemu would really stop asking him that question. Another, much larger part of himself wished he was able to truly put on a fake smile and convince his brother that, yes, he was fine. So, instead he said nothing.

Atemu sighed, "No, of course you aren't okay." Atemu muttered darkly, "How can you be after what that bastard did to you?" Atemu growled.

Yami sighed once more, "Ate, please. Can you just drop it? I don't want to talk about it." Yami said.

Atemu was quiet for several moments as the limo turned onto another street. "I know you don't want to talk about it Yami. But, we both know that it would be a lot better for you in the long run if you did talk to me." Atemu said.

Yami snorted as he tightly clenched his fist around the strap of his backpack, "Oh? So now you're a doctor now are you Atemu? How could I have possibly missed that? And let me guess you prescribe long talks about my fucking feelings and a good fucking to make everything all better?" Yami snapped.

Atemu sighed, "Look Yami. I get that you are upset. And I understand that you are just lashing out because you are upset but I am just trying to help you." Atemu said.

Yami frowned, "That's just the thing, isn't it Atemu you DON'T understand. You may try to understand. You may tell yourself you understand! But you DON'T. You don't have the first clue how I feel. So don't you sit there and tell me that you understand!" Yami growled.

"Yami...I..."Atemu began, he looked torn between trying to pull Yami in for an embrace and respecting Yami's need for space. It was also abundantly clear that Atemu was at a loss for what to say.

"Just drop it Ate! I don't want to talk about it. So, for the love of god just drop it." Yami growled.

Atemu sighed once more before he turned his attention back out the window and Yami felt himself relax the barest amount. At least Atemu was respecting his wishes and giving him some space.

"Are you going to go to school tomorrow?" Atemu asked suddenly.

"Why wouldn't I?" Yami asked moodily. Although to be honest staying home did appeal to him. Not only would he not have to deal with Kaiba. Or being around people in general. But on the other hand he'd really rather not be home alone at the mansion. Not after what had happened. So, no matter how much he hated the idea of socializing right now he felt safer around people than he would alone.

"Tomorrow I have my stupid court date for the fight I was involved in. Which means that I won't be at school tomorrow. I figured that you would want to stay at home while I was at court." Atemu said.

Yami sighed. School was a lot less enticing without knowing his brother was in attendance. "Look, I'll think about it Ate." Yami muttered.

Atemu shrugged, "I mean. It should only be for a couple of hours. And then I will be back home." Atemu added.

Yami nodded, "Like I said. I'll think about it Atemu." Yami replied.

The car pulled into the mansion's drive before coming to a stop before the driver climbed out and opened the door for Atemu and Yami to climb out which they quickly did.

The pair had taken a couple of steps when the driver spoke, "Excuse me, Master Yami?"

Yami paused, turning briefly towards the driver, his posture tense. Atemu also came to a stop beside his brother frowning. The driver cleared his throat before holding out a folded sheet of notebook paper out, "You dropped this sir." The driver said.

Yami reached out grabbed the folded up piece of paper before he shoved it into his pocket and turned to head back into the house. The two had hardly walked inside when they were greeted by Amara.

"Ah. Atemu. Yami there you boys are. Atemu, there has been a slight change of plans. Your father had to go to the hospital so it looks like you and me will be going out to pick out your new suit for tomorrow." Amara said.

Atemu glanced briefly over at Yami before his eyes flicked back onto his adoptive mother. "If its all the same to you, I'd rather just wear something I already have here." Atemu said evenly.

Amara sighed, "I know you don't like shopping. I have yet to encounter a man who really does but sometimes its necessary. I went through your closet and you don't have anything that would be appropriate for you to wear. Hopefully it won't take us too long. An hour, maybe two tops." Amara replied.

Atemu sighed before his eyes briefly drifted back onto Yami. "Go Ate. I'll just get started on my homework." Yami said softly.

Atemu frowned, "Are you sure?" Atemu asked.

Yami nodded, "Yes. I'm sure. Go with mom. I'll be here when you get back." Yami said.

Atemu sighed but nodded, "Alright. If you need anything call me. Or text me. Or Mai." Atemu said.

Yami nodded once more. "Right. I will. Happy shopping." Yami called out before he turned and headed up the stairs.

Yami closed the door to his room behind him and tossed his bag onto the ground before he pulled the folded up piece of paper out of his pocket. He most certainly had not dropped anything so he wondered what the driver had wanted to tell him.

Yami unfolded the sheet of paper and read:

Yami,

Your presence is requested at my hotel tomorrow morning. Bright and early. I happen to know that your precious brother will be tied up at court tomorrow which gives us the perfect opportunity to meet back up. Hasan will be picking you up like normal for school however he will be driving you to me instead.

Please RSVP by calling or texting 666-666-6666 to let me know that you will in fact be attending, although you presence is expected.

Yami's hand shook as he read the letter the driver had given him. Yami felt his breathing quickening as the ramifications of the note sank in.

But should he really be that surprised. Deep down he knew that this would be happening again. He knew that as soon as he left that Akunadin would not be content leaving him alone. He would keep coming back again and again and again.

A part of Yami wanted to refuse and stay locked up here in his room where he was safe. But, really what would that actually accomplish other than making Akunadin angry? Did Yami really want to risk upsetting Akunadin and having him strike out at Atemu in payback for Yami not turning up like he wanted.

Yami sighed before he fished his phone out of his pocket and shakily entered in the number on the note before hitting call and slowly brought the phone up to his ear. Please don't pick up. Please don't pick up. Yami thought to himself.

"Well, hello my little whore. I was hoping that you'd call." Akunadin purred.

Yami felt himself cringing at the sound of the man's voice. "I'll be there." Yami said, his voice shaking as he confirmed that he would show up. He had to. For Atemu's sake.

"Of course you will. And I look forward to seeing you bright and early. Until tomorrow." Akunadin replied before he call was disconnected.

Yami crumpled the note up in his hand before chucking it at the trash can. He felt like crying. And screaming. But Yami clamped down on the desire to do either. He had to act like everything was normal. And sadly, in a way it was.

This was going to be his new normal. His new normal nightmare of an existence.

With Mana

Buzz. Buzz. Buzzzzz.

Mana frowned before she slowly blinked open her eyes. What in the world is that annoying buzzing sound? Mana thought although opening her eyes allowed the blinding, and not to mention painful light from the sun streaming in through the window to slam right into her skull, resulting in a pain that felt like someone had taken an ice pick to her head. Mana groaned as she buried her face back into the pillow.

"Are you awake Mana?" Otogi whispered in Mana's ear his arm wrapped snugly around Mana's waist.

Mana's frown deepened. Wait a second. Something was not quite right here. Did we fall asleep watching that movie downstairs? Mana thought to herself.

"Yo Otogi! Are you here?" A loud voice that sounded like Honda called out from...somewhere before Mana could hear the loud pounding of feet, which sounded like they were running up the stairs. Mana was so confused and her head really hurt.

Although, now that she thought about it. Her head wasn't the only thing that hurt.

Mana heard the sound of a door opening and slowly peeked her head up from where she'd buried it into a pillow to see Honda standing in the doorway.

"Otogi we were wond..."Honda began only to paused, a smirk appearing on his face, "Oh. I see. Well, I apologize. Seems like you had quite a busy day yourself. I guess I'll just catch up with you later." Honda called out.

Otogi chuckled and his grip around Mana's waist tightened. "I'm so glad that you can understand. I'll call you later." Otogi called out as he shifted Mana slightly so that her back was resting against his chest.

His bare chest.

Mana frowned as she tried to figure out what the hell was even going on and her head gave another particularly nasty throb. Otogi's hands shifted, with one of his hands brushing over Mana's breast. Mana's eyes snapped open as she flew out of Otogi's grasp, landing in a heap on the floor when she realized that Otogi was touching her BARE SKIN!

Worse still she didn't remember taking off her shirt although her tumble out of the bed revealed that things were even worse than that. It wasn't just her shirt and her bra that was missing. She was completely naked.

No. No. Nononononono. This cannot be happening. Mana to herself as her eyes darted almost frantically around what looked like Otogi's bedroom before landing on the pile of her clothes sitting on the floor.

Otogi sat up slightly, the blankets pooling around his waist as he looked at Mana, a smug satisfied smirk on his face. "I'd say good morning beautiful, although its already mid afternoon." Otogi purred, his green eyes raking over Mana's nude form. Mana quickly reached over and grabbed her school uniform jacket and draped it over herself. It didn't provide much cover, but at least Otogi wasn't able to look at her naked anymore.

Mana frowned, "Do I want to know why I ended up naked IN BED with you?" Mana growled as she clutched the jacket a little bit tighter against her body. She prayed to whatever god that would listen that nothing beyond sleeping had happened.

Otogi's smirk broadened, "We had sex. Amazing. Glorious. Mindblowing sex." Otogi replied smugly.

Mana felt like a lead weight had just settled in the pit of her stomach. She wanted to tell Otogi that he was wrong. That they hadn't had sex but instead her eyes drifted down and she was able to make out what with sickening dread she realized was dried blood clinging to her thighs.

He really...we really...but I didn't...I don't even remember. Mana thought to herself as she reached awkwardly for her clothes. She felt disgusting. But one thing was for certain. She was not staying here. Mana quickly grabbed her underwear and pulled them back on before she fumbled with her white school uniform shirt, dropping her jacket briefly into her lap as she did up the shirt. Next came the skirt before she pulled back on her jacket and shakily got to her feet.

Otogi rolled his eyes, "Ah come on Mana. Don't be like that. Come back to bed with me." Otogi called out.

Mana clenched her hands into a fist at her side as she glared at Otogi. Her head hurt something awful, not to mention she hurt down there as well. "I don't recall ever wanting to get into your bed in the first place Otogi. I'm certainly not crawling back into your bed now. I'm going home." Mana snapped.

Otogi snorted before he rose to his feet, Mana's eyes immediately looking away when she saw Otogi was also completely naked. Although, she should have known that he would be. Maybe a part of me is still in denial. Mana thought.

Otogi reached Mana, his hand turning Mana's face back towards him so they were once more looking at each other. It took everything in Mana not to shove him away. "Now don't be like that. We both know that you wanted me to fuck you as much as I wanted to fuck you." Otogi replied smugly, his thumb lightly tracing along Mana's cheek.

Mana's frown deepened, "I most certainly did NOT want you to fuck me as you so eloquently put it. I didn't want it. And worse still I DON'T EVEN REMEMBER IT!" Mana shouted as she could feel the beginnings of tears clinging to her eyes. She was so confused.

However before Otogi could say anything else Mana shoved him away and turned, running out of the room and down the stairs before sprinting out the front door. She was halfway down the block when she realized that she had forgotten her backpack and her cellphone.

But she didn't care. She just wanted to get as far away from Otogi as she could so she could curl up and cry while she tried to figure out what the hell had even happened. And the only safe place where she could do that was back at her house where her older brother was there to protect her.
