Its too soft and sad yet oh so soul encompassing. Narcissa sat in the greenhouse and smiled, her sad yet honest smile how upon her flowers. Then she leaned back and sighed. Emma latched on to her swollen breast and fed greedily, but honestly Narcissa could never complain. Emma was essentially the perfect baby. She cried when she needed to be changed, fed, or simply played with. Narcissa smiled when she watched Dobby with her daughter in the same room. The little girl was like a cat. Feed, me, change me, play with me… done. She will over time forget but the Doc did resonate in her thoughts, and she could see her daughter in the woman, but she never knew why she left, at that moment of birth, at breath, at Emma's first cry.
Andromeda was hush hush about it and Narcissa only smiled. She only guessed time travel ran in the family since Hermione used that damnable time turner to accelerate her age, and she accidentally blasted herself into the past. She didn't even have to ask, he was there. Dobby took the gorgeous little girl and Narcissa straightened her shirt, and then looked over her flowers.
Later
She smirked at Emma as Dobby lay on his back and levitated the girl tickling her mid air. Her heart swelled for her daughter and ever more for the elf. She loved this little humanoid with all she had left aside from Hermione, Fleur, Bella, and her daughter. Maybe he felt that for he looked to her and noticed her eyes, and slowly, seamlessly levitated a happily to the crib.
"She is large Mistress," Dobby said. Narcissa only nodded. Yes, Emma was a large baby for a few days, but she seemed… advanced. Narcissa and Dobby's spine raised as they felt the invasion through the floo. Dobby put the girl to sleep, covertly called Ducky to watch to girl until it was time to go back to Mr. Potter. Ducky was elated when his bother asked him to do this before he went to be Potter's assistant, never his servant. Narcissa never knew of the arrangement. Ducky knew it would be appreciated, and it was less on her mind.
"Give me my gods forsaken goddaughter, Cissy," Bellowed an irate Bella. Narcissa sighed, and then looked to Fleur who was calmer. Bella seemed to rip through any barrier in order to get to Emma.
"Upstairs, your room," Narcissa said, and Bella's eyes, lit up as she sped by and kissed her cheek.
Narcissa was left with Fleur. She looked well, more than always, but to Narcissa she looked like everything and anything all wrapped with a bow. Narcissa didn't speak as she lifted a hand to the library. Dobby served them tea and as Narcissa and Fleur sat from one another they gazed at each other.
"I will admit it was easier to be with you two weeks ago," Narcissa said as if commenting on the weather while taking a sip of her tea.
"I admit it was much more difficult being around you, ma cheri, two-weeks ago," Fleur said and then sipped her own tea.
"So, you get married and the thrall works overtime or what?" asked Narcissa wanting to put her emotions to the side.
"Non, it will be on a high though with the recent bonding Bella and I had to go through," Fleur said working her way through that statement.
"And if Hermione were here?" Narcissa asked.
"OH god, Merlin, and the ancients, I would not know what to do," Fleur chuckled. Narcissa looked at her. She looked at Fleur, and then her gaze went to the door.
"Fuck me, she is adorable," came the crass language in the voice of the witch they loved.
"Bella, Fleur, why have you come back now? It is hardly a week after your wedding? We don't go back to school for another 4 more days. You should be on a honeymoon."
Fleur walked to Bella who sat on the love seat sofa. She collapsed into Bella. It was so much more fluid that it had been. So much more loving, so much more… everything. Narcissa was happy she withdrew her tie to the bond before this moment. To them it was all about their love, their hearts, and allegiance, and fidelities.
"You are the moon and you are the light…" Narcissa began watching the pair and then shook herself and smiled, "Sorry a small line from a poem. You are so complementary. Before you were striking, now you are breathtaking," Narcissa said to her sister and sister in law. Bella smiled and Fleur grasped Bella's hand.
"When was the little bestie born Cissy?" Bella asked softly.
"Around 12:50-1:30 am," Narcissa whispered, "New Year's Day," Narcissa looked at the women and then they looked to each other. Only Andromeda and the hospital know the logistics and Narcissa was fine with that until she saw Fleur and Bella's faces.
"You had the baby a few hours we got married?! Narcissa!" Bella bellowed. Fleur shifted off Bella and looked at Narcissa with a furrowed brow.
"Dont look at me like that, and don't give me grief," Narcissa scoffed as she slowly felt her magic gather below her skin.
"Why did you not tell us, mon amor?" Fleur asked, and Narcissa looked into Fleur's eyes. Then into Bella's.
"I wasn't keeping it from you. She came early. I wanted you both to have your happy ending, your honeymoon," Narcissa looked to the fire, "I wanted you to have your happiness. Not anyone else sharing it with you. I wanted you to have your moment," Narcissa's voice dropped, "It was something I did not have a chance to get," Narcissa whispered as thoughts of her own impromptu wedding was marred by having to go back to England the very next morning.
"I'm sorry Cissy," Bella whispered her voice so full of emotion, so full of regret. Narcissa looked back to the newlyweds.
"I wanted you to have your time Bells," then to Fleur, "You both earned this right to be happy," Narcissa said and then stood up from the chair. She needed to move, she needed to pace. She would never continue to hold Bella's faults over her. That was why she wanted everything to be perfect for her sister.
"Scrollblade was very surprised we didn't know yet. We only found out moments before we burst through your floo," Bella said and Narcissa cocked her head.
"Scrollblade told you?" Narcissa sighed, "Of course he did," She prowled, Infront of the fire, her thoughts jumbled inside of her mind, and she was beginning to get wrapped up into those thoughts when she heard a gasp. She looked over and saw Bella clenching Fleur's hand.
"Narcissa," Fleur said softly. Narcissa went to speak and then found no voice. She looked down. She cuffed and then shifted back.
"I'm sorry, I have been shifting a lot with my emotions lately," Narcissa went over to Bella and grasped her hand, "You ok?"
"Yeah," Bella said letting out a stuttered breath, "I just have very bad memories of a large cat just like you about to rip my throat out, and had daggers for fingers clutching into my chest," Bella tried to jibe but it fell flat. Narcissa poured them all a brandy and brought them over with a smile.
"As I recall that cat only did that because she thought you tortured Fleur," Narcissa smiled, and Fleur's eyes went round, and then she smiled. Narcissa being so free to talk about her beloved, was so refreshing. Fleur was delighted, and gobbled up the moment because they may not have a chance to talk about her like this again.
"I hope she comes back soon. I miss her protectiveness," Fleur said.
"Yeah, just next time I hope if we are to go at it its witch to witch not Mountain lion to petrified woman," Bella jested, bringing laughs all around.
"So, Cissy, when is Draco and my Brat going to finally tie to knot in wizarding society?" Bella asked. She and Harry were damn near inseparable, and it warmed her heart.
"They wanted to wait until after Emma was born. Draco said March, but other than that I do not know," Narcissa said and Bella grinned at her mischievously.
"I bet they will do some weird thing with no ceremony and walk through your floo and say look mum I'm married," Bella laughed as Narcissa curled her lip.
"I hope not. The Goblin right by trial has them wed in the Wizarding world, and goblin traditions. For them it would be a formality. I think Harry wants a wedding though, but not a lot of people," Narcissa mused.
"Bells, how do you feel about the tropics?" Narcissa asked. Bella shrugged.
"How do you feel about flying in a muggle airplane?" Narcissa asked and she grinned as she watched Bella pale.
"I love airplanes!" Fleur said and then looked to Bella excitedly.
"I think I have one idea for my Little Lord. I'll see if they are interested. If so, we can see if there will be a time mid semester where there is a longer weekend, and we can go to that delightful island where Hermione and I got Married," Narcissa said smiling. Bella and Fleur smiled right back at her.
It was time for the witches to leave. They wanted to get back to their cottage. Bella was complaining about wearing too many clothes, and Fleur simply kissed her lips and told her she would take her home and rectify that problem. Narcissa walked them to the door so they could apparate straight to the cottage. Bella hugged Narcissa and kissed her cheek. Fleur walked to her friend took Narcissa in her arms and whispered in her ear.
"I am very proud of you. I love you," Fleur said and Narcissa nodded, trying not to cry. Both women went with a pop.
