There's not a dry eye in the room, as they all are in need of tissues. As he hugs his sister tightly, he hears her say, "I miss her so much." He agreeably replies, "I know sis. Me too. But this chair will help you stay close to her." She nods as she reconciles that fact in her mind and it helps her tear flow slow down, and then stop.
When their embrace ends, Fitz is there for her and she hugs him too. As she says, "I can't believe that's my mommy's chair." He comforts his wife, as he says, "It will be like your mom is rocking both of you." She nods as he continues to hold her, and Char says, "That's the sweetest thing I've ever seen." Drew comforts her as she still cries, dabbing her eyes. And Abby agrees, as she dabs her eyes and responds, "We did good babe." He nods as he dabs his eyes too, as he says, "Yes. We did. We really did,"
As Olivia finds a way to pull herself together; she and Fitz's embrace ends, and she blows her nose, post cry. He teases her by saying, "Are you feeling better Rudolph."
She knows he's commenting on her red nose; the remark makes them all chuckle sweetly at the tease. He kisses her nose sweetly as the laughter settles, and he places his hand on her belly as he says, "I love you." She smiles as she replies, "We love you too."
There's a sweetness in the air they all feel and relate too. The couples all find themselves reveling in the air of love that fills the room. It's a room of promise, of what is to be. A nod toward the future; a future of happiness and love ahead.
As the moment settles Char says, "Well, I for one could stay in this room all day. But, I know you all have to hit the road soon. So, we'd better get the rest of this tour done." They all agree as they file out of the room, back through the master bedroom, so they can all put their shoes back on.
When they're all ready to proceed, they finish up by heading to Ella's room. Olivia is so excited, she can't wait to see how it turned out. There were a ton of last minute changes made, and they were all unsure how it would work out. However, to their surprise; when Char opened the door it was all worth it.
Olivia gasps as she says, "Oh my goodness Char! It's incredible! Ella is going to absolutely flip!" Char grins brightly as she replies, "I know. I can't wait for her to see it. I thought about videoing it, and sending it to her. But, her live reaction would be so much better." Fitz adds, "Yeah. I agree. She needs to see this for herself, in person." Abby smiles as she responds, "Heck, I want this room for myself." Harrison replies, "It's a super cool tween age room for sure." Drew again smiling and praising his wife says, "Another home run baby. It looks amazing!"
Char smiles as she takes the compliments and the hug from her hubby, as she replies, "Thanks everybody. I really love this room. I hope Ella feels the same way. We certainly got her everything she wanted."
Olivia says, "Yes. We did. That mural is unbelievable Char. Thank you for getting it done." She nods as she responds, "You're welcome Liv. I was happy to do it." They share a hug, and everyone smiles as their hug ends.
Realizing it's getting later by the moment, they agree it's time to get going. As Harrison says, "If we don't leave soon yall. We might as well wait till tomorrow to hit the road due to traffic." Drew agrees as he says, "True. We will head out, and let you guys be on your way." Olivia says, "Awe, we hate to have to rush off."
Char replies, "It's no rush. We have so many things to do before Drew's parents arrive today. We'd better get going ourselves." Drew nods as he says, "She's right. We're hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year." Fitz teases as he says, "Damn, that's brave."
They all laugh as Harry replies, "Yep. You're my hero my man." Drew smiles as he responds, "All I can say is pray for us." Char adds, "Yes. Please. A house full of house guest in-laws, our kids, and mine and Drew's siblings for dinner. My God, what have we done?" Abby shakes her head as she says, "Girl sounds like you'll need to keep the cocktails flowing. I have a bomb sangria recipe to share." Char and Drew both simultaneously say, "Send it to me."
Again they all laugh, as Drew hugs his wife, acknowledging their similar thought. Abby sends Char the recipe via text, and they all prepare to go about their day.
Fitz locks up the house while everyone else is in the truck; when he gets inside. He sees his brother in law is in the passenger seat, while his wife and sister in law are cooling in the back, looking at baby books and design books.
Harrison looks over at him as he says, "See what your reveal has started? My Amex is already on fire." Fitz chuckles as he replies, "Man, tell me about it. But, the smile on her face will be worth it." Harrison looks back and sees his wife's face as he hears her say, "Awe, that's adorable." And he hears his sister reply, "Yes. It is. Circle it. We can come back to this page when we find a rug to match."
Fitz hears his wife and sister in law, and sees Harrison's facial expression. Harrison then looks at him and says, "Yeah, it really is worth it." Fitz nods as he back out the driveway, as he says, "Yep. It is. And even if it wasn't, you'd be a fool to try to stand in her way." Harrison laughs as he replies, "Yeah. you're right. I don't have a death wish." They both chuckle as Harrison turns on sports radio to listen to during the trip.
They arrive in Macon two and a half hours later due to traffic. Despite the longer time in the car, everyone has held up well, and are in good spirits. They decide to stop by the cemetery before heading to Uncle Eli's. When they pull up to the cemetery Fitz is surprised to see how relaxed his wife appears to be. Normally when they come to her parents' grave site, it's a bit of a process for her to even get out of the car. However, this time she's out of the car and waiting for him to exit.
When he steps out he sees Abby and Harrison walking ahead of them and he turns to his wife as he asks, "Are you okay babe?" She sees the care and concern in his eyes. She smiles at him as she caresses his face, as she replies, "Yes. I'm good babe." He believes her, he's just surprised at how different she seems to be in this moment.
He doesn't want to push her; he figures if she isn't okay she will tell him. She sees the concern fade, and she pecks his lips as she says, "Come on, let's go see my parents, and let them know they're going to be grandparents two times over." He smiles at her as he agreeably walks with her, and they meet Harrison and Abby at the grave site.
They spend an hour sharing the celebratory news of Olivia and Abby both being pregnant. The mood isn't sad, it's joyous and freeing. They all laugh and smile as both Olivia and Harrison share stories of their child hood growing up with their parents.
