Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Formora was traveling along the southeastern coast to her next destination, cursing herself for her actions at Lily Town. It had been almost three days since she'd gone to Lily Town, and she'd not slept a wink since. The path was smooth and pale gray, with little pink crystals scattered along the road and embedded in the walls of stone pillars erected in seemingly-random positions. The road constantly shifted into serpentine curves, going one way then another, then back again.
The crystals gave off the faintest of glows. Doubtless one would feel like they were in a fairy's stone garden once nighttime hit, though to be honest Formora could have sworn she heard teeny little giggles coming from within the stones. No matter how many she broke into pieces trying to find the creature within, the giggles always persisted.
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Formora scowled and turned her knife against her own person. She gave herself a long cut across her chin, hissing as the flesh was torn apart by the jagged edge.
Maybe now I'll remember!
"Why is this so hard for me?!" she raged, flinging droplets of blood everywhere as she clutched her head in her hands. "Why am I like this?!"
You're a monster, that's why. Anything else is to deny your true nature, the demon whispered in her ear.
That's why we beg you, join us, the sea agreed, waves crashing against the shore for effect. There is no conflict when you become part of us.
Formora opened her mouth to argue, but a commotion nearby interrupted her. Peering behind a stone column, she watched as a Luvdisc paused in front of a dungeon entrance. She looked over her shoulder, screamed, and dove inside. A couple seconds later, a Combusken arrived, followed by a Dreepy and an Alomomola. The Alomomola's eyes turned crimson red, blood red, her favorite shade of red! The Dreepy's arms turned into a Scyther's pincers for a moment before shifting back to normal.
Formora's heart raced in delight. She'd never encountered sorcerers before!
"She doesn't know it, but she just sealed her fate!" the Combusken cackled, raking his claws against the stone wall in malicious anticipation as his head grew to the size of a watermelon.
"Let's hope she puts on a good show, eh?" the Dreepy agreed before the trio vanished. Formora's hands balled into fists.
"I'll show you," she half-snarled, half-laughed before sprinting after them.

The dungeon terrain was quite similar to the outside. The floor was a pinkish-gray stone of some sort with more of the pink crystals scattered around or embedded in the walls. Short, flat rocks perfect for a Pokemon of her size to sit on guarded every corridor entrance. Patches of deep purple flowers sprouted from in between cracks in the otherwise smooth ground. Large crystal clusters erupted from the floor, or more commonly from the pale gray walls.
Much to her dismay, the sea had followed her inside, along with the laughing crystals. In front of her in a cross-shape and lining the hallways were water pools.
Come closer…
No! I'm an explorer today! You can't stop me! Formora scowled as she strode forward.
Waste of time, waste of time…the demon was singing in her head, in all three of its voices. No point, no point. You'll fail!
I. WON'T.

Off she went, destroying the Carbinks, Klefkis, Gravelers, Mawiles, shifting blobs of color and limbs, and Morgrems that dared get in her way. The good thing about dungeon Pokemon was that no one cared how they were defeated!
She grinned as a tall dark shape with eyes where its mouth should be fell before her. So this was what it was like being an explorer! How fun!
Once she found the Stairs on 4F, she hesitated. Should she wait in case they were behind her? Or should she ascend?
In the end she decided to move on, for the water was starting to call to her…

After a decent trek through the dungeon, she found the Stairs tucked in the corner of a teeny little room. Just as she walked inside the chamber, she came upon a Warp Trap.
She felt a tugging sensation in her gut, then suddenly she was back in her starting room. She laughed, clapping her hands.
Ah, so the dungeon didn't like her change of occupation? Well! She'd show it!

Along the way, she ran into many more traps. First was the Chestnut Trap that dumped ginormous chestnuts on her head. Then came the Explosion Trap that knocked her into a Summon Trap. Finally, just as she'd found the Stairs on 9F, a Gust Trap sent her flying into a Spin Trap, which then in her confused wandering stumbled across a PP-Zero Trap.
She cared not a whit about these little dungeon pranks. The universe could harass and bully her at it wanted; it was not stopping her.

Someone was here with her.
Formora gasped and took up a sprint through the halls. Where was the Luvdisc?! Or the Pokemon after her?!
After a few minutes of fruitless zooming, while just about to enter a chamber she could hear voices coming from the other side.
Formora dove into the wall to spy on the commotion.
"Give us the Silk and we'll give you the courtesy of a quick death," the Combusken was threatening. The Dreepy was holding the Luvdisc hostage while his boss tickled her neck with his foot-long claws. She trembled and let out a pitiful wail while her body shape changed from a heart to a square.
There they were! Three wannabe killers, just a stone's toss away from the Snow Wraith herself! And as she desired the Luvdisc to live, these three had to perish for defying her!
Here's my chance! I'm going to do it! I'm going to save a Pokemon! Watch me, Ezra!
Holding her eager breath, Formora pranced into view. "If I were you, I'd pray to your legendary of choice."
The four turned to face the newcomer. Formora's breath quickened. These three idiots didn't even have weapons on them! They were practically begging to be slaughtered!
"Who do you think you are, barging in on our business?!" the Combusken-turned Blaziken demanded, holding up his claws at her in warning. Now when did he evolve…?
In answer, Formora released her Aurora Veil from her spread hands. As the pale colors wafted throughout the area, she gave them a crazed grin.
"I'm the Wraith who's going to kill you!"
Letting out a primal, gleeful growl, Formora dove upon the trio of baddies. The Blaziken, now back into a Combusken, tried to stop her with an Iron Thorn aimed at her forehead. She didn't feel it pierce her at all! He may as well have thrown a pillow at her! Laughing in his shocked face, she shoved her knife into his aorta.
While their boss doubled over in shock, the Dreepy and Alomomola got over their surprise and tried to fight back. The Dreepy leaped at her for a Bite while his teammate shot a powerful Water Pulse at her.
Formora thrust her knife into the Dreepy's mouth—piercing his jaw—while she fended off the Water Pulse with Blizzard. A harmless spray of freezing water rained down on the five, making them flinch but refreshing Formora. She shoved the Dreepy off her blade before hurling a Shadow Ball at the pink fish. The Alomomola crashed into the petrified Luvdisc, instantly knocked unconscious. Formora finished off the Dreepy and walked over to the two water-types. The Alomomola lay helpless in her grasp as she slit his throat and tossed the body off the Luvdisc.
Panting, Formora wiped off her brow and grinned in triumph. "See?! I saved her! I'm a real explorer now!"
Look again, dumbass.
Formora glanced at the Luvdisc and howled in fury as she realized it wasn't the Luvdisc cowering in terror before her, but the Alomomola. She'd killed the wrong Pokemon.
All the blood drained from her face, and she took a step back.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAGGGHHHHHH!" she screamed, pounding her fist against the wall till it bled.
The Alomomola closed his eyes and whimpered, but fortunately Formora merely turned and stormed away in disgust, leaving him alone to process his near brush with death.

"Why can't I do this?! Just why?! I wanted to help! I wanted to be like you! That's what I meant to do! I'm trying, Ezra! I'm trying so hard! But I just can't stop myself! If it wasn't for that damn Alomomola, I wouldn't have done it! Erghhh, WHY CAN'T I BE GOOD?!"
12F-13F
Not a single enemy was spared her rage. Every single one that was unfortunate to come across her was obliterated in the most brutal, bloody ways she knew. She didn't even try to fight her urges. She surrendered herself to her instincts, and thought of happier things while limbs were torn apart and organs exposed to air.
Mystical Bluff Clearing
Now she was on a cliff that overlooked the Arceusawful ocean. More crystal pillars sprouted up from the ground like weeds, all of them laughing at her mistake. Towards the end of the cliff was a statue of a giant golden ring.
The moment she realized she wasn't in the dungeon anymore, she turned and stalked back out to the road.
Stupid, stupid, STUPID!
