"So how is it going with the guitar?" Quinn asked while stirring the cake batter.

Antonio had taken a job in another department which meant he was home on weekends and holidays. As a result, Diego was around more, and they got to spend time together as a family.

"I'm getting the hang of it" Diego replied as his Dad walked in ruffling his hair.

"Don't be so modest" Antonio said kissing Quinn on the cheek.

"You're home early" She commented setting the bowl down.

"Is that a bad thing?" He asked with a half-smile.

"Of course, not" She replied shaking her head.

"Do you need a hand?" He asked looking at the kitchen was in complete chaos.

"Nope" She said biting her lip "Everything is completely under control"

"We'll clean up after" Antonio told her.

"Dad" Diego groaned.

Antonio shot him a warning look.

"Of course, we will" Diego said "I'll go and set the table"

Antonio checked on the lasagna and pulled it out of the over. Quinn sighed as she looked at it.

"It's just a little well done" He shrugged.

"It's charcoal" She groaned wafting the smoke that had followed.

Antonio opened the window and the back door to help air out the kitchen.

"We can go out or order in" He told her "Whatever you want"

"I just got Finn to sleep" She said shaking her head "He was up all night and half of today"

"Take out it is" He replied pulling her into a hug "Go and sit down and I'll take care of this"

Quinn smiled gratefully. The first few weeks at home had been really hard. Antonio switching departments was making things a little easier, but she worried that he wasn't happy. She didn't think she could do it without him though.

They were all sat together watching a movie with a pizza. The kids were happy at least. There had been a lot of 'well done' meals on the nights Antonio wasn't home.

"Are you ok Mom?" Beth asked snuggling into her side.

"I'm fine baby girl" She replied "You know I was thinking we need to have a girl's afternoon soon"

"I'd like that" Beth nodded.

"You should go this weekend" Antonio said "I'm home, I've got the baby"

Quinn smiled at him over Beth's head. One thing she was worried about was Beth not feeling like she was getting any quality time. Beth loved her little brother, but she had been a little bit more clingy lately.

It was later than night when all the kids were in bed and Quinn was laying next to Antonio, she turned over to look at him.

"Are you happy?" She asked him.

"Of course, I am" He replied taken aback "Why?"

"Things are just different now" She replied "I'm tired and forgetful, you've taken this new job, I don't know"

"Things are different but that's not a bad thing" He told her stroking her cheek "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else; I want to help out more, you've been amazing keeping this whole house going alone"

Quinn sighed rolling onto her back and staring at the ceiling. She was run down and emotional. Things were just feeling a little too much. She'd done a lot of nights alone, all of the school runs, running the house.

Antonio leaned up on an elbow.

"Why don't I ask Gabby to babysit one night" He suggested "We can get away for a night, and I'm going to be home every night, every weekend and holiday"

"Do you think it's too soon?" She asked biting her lip looking over at the crib in the corner.

"We won't be far, Gabby is a paramedic, she can bring Matt as well" He reassured her.

Quinn just nodded sleep taking over. She couldn't remember the last time she slept. She heard Finn starting to stir so she went to get up. Antonio put a hand on her shoulder to stop her. She fell asleep watching Antonio rocking their son back to sleep. It was one of her favorite things to see.

A good night's sleep wasn't a miracle cure, but it was amazing how much better she felt in the morning. When she came downstairs Finn was on his mat in the living room with Eva and Beth. Antonio was in the kitchen with Diego making pancakes. She had managed to not only sleep but have a shower and blow-dry her hair uninterrupted. She walked over to her baby boy who was babbling away a tuft of dark hair sticking up. She smiled picking him up and smoothing his head.

"There's my baby boy" She said kissing his head "Good morning everyone"

"Can we do girls day today?" Beth asked sitting next to her.

"Of course, we can" She replied "Eva do you want to come with us?"

"I was going to go to a friends house" Eva told her.

"Ok we'll do something another time" She said with a smile.

She walked through to the kitchen carrying the baby.

"Thank you" She told Antonio leaning up to kiss him.

"Gross" Diego muttered earning himself a playful shove.

"How did you sleep?" Antonio asked, "Are you feeling better?"

"A lot" She nodded reaching for a piece of bacon.

"Can't you ever wait until it's ready?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

"You should know this about me by now" She shrugged while rocking Finn.

"Gabby said she can babysit tonight" He told her plating up breakfast.

"How am I going to manage a night without you?" She asked Finn who was reaching for her hair.

She set him down in his bouncy chair.

"I think you'll manage" Antonio said in her ear kissing her neck quickly.

"I saw that" Beth groaned.

"I heard it" Diego sighed.

"Eat your pancakes" Antonio told them waving a hand towards the plates.

"The sooner you do the sooner we can go for some girl time" Quinn added stealing another piece of bacon from Antonio's plate before he could stop her.
