"Should we let the others know about this, Mirii?" Hun aimed towards the blue screen with his open, right hand.
"Yes, but in a moment." Mirii sits on the office chair, as her hands hovered above the keyboard. "I will try fixing this computer with my own experience and wits."
The girl began tapping specific buttons on the keyboard, but the screen was still showing its blue screen.
"... none of my inputs worked..." A sweat drop appeared on her head's right side. "I was precise too... am I forced to turn off the whole computer by unplugging the power cord...?"
Mirii's quickly swallowed her own saliva.
"It isn't safe, for a computer's data, to simply unplug the power cord...!" Her arms moved near her stomach, as she hit her backrest with her back. "And those computers are full of fighting spirits...!" The woman nodded, while lifting herself with her own legs.
"... you don't fix anything?"
"Silin." Mirii rose her head, as she walked away from her previous seat, while holding her hands behind her back. "Of course I was trying to fix this computer..." Her head shook, while her mouth flattened. "Unfortunately, it appears that my skills alone will not fix this computer back to its original state."
"Maybe I could try restoring it with my magic!"
"Don't be silly." Mirii frowned, as she reached the front of the desk. "You can't fix situations with the use of pure magic... how would you even"
Mirii's eyes noticed the opened door... and suddenly, her mouth shut and her eyes puffed. Her face went pale too.
"C-curses...! I-I hope there wasn't any of the Temanga members-no, not just them... any scientists around...!" Her eyes blinked twice. "... scientists...?" Her mouth opened a bit. "... wait a moment...!"
"Something is wrong, Mirii?" Hun's head tilted over his left side.
"... I was thinking about scientists, Hunley..." Mirii's head rose once more. "... isn't it odd that we can enter inside their offices without any trouble at all...?"
"... a little..." Hun sighed loudly.
"... of course it's odd..." Mirii's eyes squeezed a little. "... those offices are supposed to hold vital information who are needed in the works of professional scientists..."
"... and we can easily look at them, if we find them in this room...?" Hun's right hand grabbed his chin.
"... they are up to something, Hunley." Mirii's eyes closed. "This is not a normal game."
"Is this a trap?!" Hun scowled a lot.
"I wouldn't talk about traps, Hunley..." Mirii stepped in the middle of the room office. "I would talk about what the scientists are doing with this whole situation..."
"... what they are doing, Mirii...?" Hun held his breath.
"I don't have enough evidence for proving their exact intentions..." Mirii's head lowered. "But I can confirm that we will find no file who is valuable for the activities of those scientists."
"Uhm..." Hun's eyebrows went up. "... what we should do, now...?"
"We must keep exploring the offices, Hunley." Mirii walked towards the room's exit. "And keep an eye on our surroundings... ... I have the feeling that the walls have eyes and ears..."
"Oh, you could bet your laptop set for that!"
Mirii focused on the visible portion of the hallway, watching Greta popping out of the entrance.
"Hey hey." Greta herself moved her right hand away from her head, while winking and smiling. "We got some juice for ya...!"
"... you, of all Squids..." Mirii's eyes squeezed a little.
"Even the normallies have the luck to find puzzle pieces, ya know." Greta grinned a little-
"You found what?!" Mirii's eyes went wide.
"Eh eh!" Greta stuck out her tongue for a brief moment. "Wanna come with me or do you prefer making faces?"
"Go! Now!" Mirii lowered her focused head.
"Aye aye, ma'am!" Greta swung herself back to the direction she came.
"Hunley, come!" Mirii dashed after her friend.
Soon, she found herself crossing back on the hallway, watching Greta's steps and reaching another room distant a few more feet away from the first explored room.
"Barsy did a good guard!" Greta pushed the door, while winking at Mirii. "We aaaare back, big boy!"
Greta almost danced towards the middle of a larger office room, who was sporting no painting whatsoever. Carlson was sitting on the office chair, turning slowly on itself...
His hands were holding a rectangular piece on his stomach.
"Carlson!" Mirii's hands went on her sides. "Hand over that puzzle piece!"
"Gee... look at all that insecurity..." Greta's eyelids lowered to the middle.
"Insecurity?!" Mirii turned over her right side, frowning at her friend.
Hun was also frowning, although he was standing behind the two.
"... come on, there isn't anything worth gettin' all mad and stuff." Greta shrugged. "It's my way to say that the piece is as good as yours."
"Of course I knew that." Mirii's left forefinger pointed at Carlson. "But look at him! Does he think we are on a vacation with such lazy attitude?!"
Carlson stretched his arms up, as his posture lifted and his mouth emitted a loud groan. Several sweat drops appeared behind Mirii's head.
"... I realized something."
"What?" Greta smiled back at Mirii, while her wrists hit her sides.
"I almost forgot to ask where did you found that puzzle piece..." Mirii almost kept her previous pose, perfectly.
Carlson, in the meantime, was already walking around the desk, using the puzzle piece to scratch his back.
"Barsy knows." She looks over him. "He happened to hold it, while I was hunting for it myself."
"... like..." Carlson looked up, as his left hand scratched the top of his head. "... I think it was on the floor or something..."
"Those scientists couldn't possibly be that idiotic to abandon such vital item on the ground!" Mirii showed her gritting teeth.
"... ya think?" He rose his mouth.
"Were you expecting something else?!" Mirii grimaced. "Why you...!"
"I don't think you found that thing on the floor, Barsy." Greta's head shook. "I did check everywhere in this room... a puzzle piece like that would had jumped on my eyes some moons ago!"
"Like, I don't really remember that..." Carlson chuckled. "But it was pretty simple"
"How can you not remember something that happened 5 minutes ago?!" Mirii arrived in front of Carlson, grasping his shirt with her hands. "You can't be that stupid!"
"But it was on the floor, girl!" Sweat jumped off his head. "That's the max stuff I remember! I swear!"
"... on the floor..." Mirii looked down, inspecting every inch of the floor with her sight.
Her eyes halted below a cupboard...
"... wait..." She moved towards it.
She bended on her knees, as her hands touched the floor and her eyes examined the area closely.
"What's that crazy ritual you are doing now...?" Greta pushed her left tentacle back.
"Carlson!" Mirii rose from the floor. "Push this furniture away!"
"Wha?" His mouth opened. "... right on, girl!" He chuckled, while he crackled his knuckles.
The tall boy moved near the cupboard's left side: his hands latched onto the side.
"... push it." Mirii's head tilted upwards.
Carlson pushed the cupboard with ease: soon, a strong light hit everyone elses' eyes for a few seconds.
"What the turf is this?!" Greta's right arm covered her eyes.
Mirii smiled, while her eyebrows were a bit down.
"... this is perfection..."
The girl was watching a sealed metallic door who was surrounded by several lights coloured in red, green and yellow.
