Uh. Sorry for the let down. This isn't a chapter. It's been a year since I've updated Twisted, and, while I hold the story very dear to my heart, I'm not sure if I will continue it. I mean, it's not a definite no, but I wanted to let you know. The main reason for this is that I have some issues with the pacing (basically that I was only one third in and had over 100k words...), there are loads of grammatical errors... and yeah. I'm really sorry, guys. Reading all your reviews still cheers me up when I'm down though, just wanted to let you know. I might try to finish the chunin exam arc if I have time, but don't count on it.
Shikashi...! That's not all I came here to say. I actually still really like the concept of Twisted, even if not the execution. So I've... yeah, you guessed it. I've published a new story. The premise is similar, but there are too many differences for it to be the same as Twisted. Otherwise I'd just repost it in here. But the Kakashi-Sakura dynamic which you guys liked so much is still present, Itachi appears way earlier (cuz, you know, he still hadn't shown in Twisted... urgh), and Sakura's badassery will also bear its fruits earlier.
It's also an AU where basically everything changes (a lot more noticeably than it Twisted) thanks to one small difference at the start. In this case, it's because Sakura actually finishes raising her hand during the first stage of the chunin exams, thereby disqualifying team seven from the get-go. Sasuke's harsh reaction towards her prompts her to start taking her ninja career a little more seriously, while Kakashi warms up to her also for failing the first exam (yeah, he's weird like that). Most noticeably, she befriends Itachi, AKA Stalker-san, (because his obsession with Sasuke is... mildly concerning?). Also... shit hits the fan. Hint, hint... Itachi's around for the invasion. That's all I'm going to say.
So that's the premise in a nutshell.
If you're interested (crossing my fingers!), the first chapter is already up :)) Go check it out, it's called The Path of a Paper Ninja. Because... Sakura.
(Again, I hope you understand why I'm putting Twisted on hiatus... really sorry for the inconvenience.)
