"Hello?" Greta rose her head, watching the ceiling above. "... yeah, I need some help over here." Her eyes closed. "There is a girl who got severely injured on the head." Her mouth closed, as her covered ear heard a voice. "... we are located inside a laboratory." Her eyes squeezed for a moment. "It's... it's on Route Mountsponge..."
The voice in the ear resumed.
"... ah. ... uh-huh..." She smiled. "Alright then! You will found us outside!"
Ana smiled widely, as she sighed visibly. Greta brought her smartphone in front of her face, pushing the red button with her thumb.
"They said that they know the laboratory in question, sooooo..." The girl stored her device away, as she grinned at Ana. "We just need to go outside with pretty girl and that's it!"
"Let's go to her immediately!" Ana twisted behind, as she began walking rapidly.
"... Barsy." Greta walked in front of Carlson.
"Yeah?" He rose his mouth, while his hands were inside his pockets.
"Do ya feel like carryin' a girl around?" She folded her arms.
"Like, give me the weights!" He chuckled a bit, while grinning.
"... that phrase was way too rough." Greta's eyelids lowered to the middle. "Try again."
"... like... I'm ready to get the girl!" He shrugged, while raising his closed mouth.
Her hand went on her forehead.
"Never mind... let's finish the job, so we can reach Miss Perfection asap!"
The girl gave a pat on the tall boy's left shoulder, before walking in the same direction taken by Ana. Carlson followed the girl, as he still kept his hands inside his pockets.
"No use then?"
Greta's ears rose.
"What are they saying...?"
"Nah. Zira must go inside the hospital, so the medics will remove this darn thing without hurting her!"
"L-let me try hitting it with my Spin Jump...!"
"You could hurt her! Don't think about it, really!"
Finally, the two Inklings saw the rest of the gang surrounding Zira wearing the VR Goggles and sitting on the floor.
"Come on, we must go!" Ana grabbed Zira's right hand. "The ambulance will be here shortly... we can't make them wait!"
"Ggghh..." Zira was trembling, as she shook her head and pulled herself back. "I-I... am ssssccaaarreeedd...!" She sobbed.
"Scared of what?!" Enrick opened his arms widely. "The doctors will save you! They know what to do!"
"... eeeeeppp..." Zira shook her head violently.
"Doctors are scary!" Nick downturned his mouth. "They would do anything to use one of their syringes on one of our arms..."
"EEEEEPP!" Zira's right hand slipped away from Ana's hand, as she hugged both her arms and shook her upper body with all her strength.
"NICK!" Ana rose her fist, while raging at him. "YOU AND THAT IDIOTIC BRAIN OF YOURS!"
"But!" Nick smiled, while raising his right forefinger. "If you manage to survive their torture devices long enough, you will win a great surprise...!" He grinned.
...
"... really?" Greta's tentacles went zig-zag, as her irises shrunk and her back went forward. "... she would never fall for something this stupid"
"Suuuuurrprise?!" Zira stood up, as she smiled widely. "What's the surprise?!"
"It's... it's..." Sweat jumped out of Nick's head. "... it's a cute stuffed sea-animal!" He grinned widely.
"I WANT THE STUFFED SEA-ANIMAL!" Zira rapidly stepped in place, as she clenched her fists and her mouth couldn't stop giggling! "BRING ME TO THE HOSPITAL!"
... everyone else was appearing under a black and white colour...
"... wait." Zira halted. "But hospitals don't give out stuffed sea-animals..."
"It's a new thing!" Nick was drenching his forehead.
"... I WANT ONE, I WANT ONE!" Zira walked in place, while tilting herself downwards. "KYYAAA!"
"... what the turf..." Greta whispered.
"Like, guess we got lucky that hospitals have such a thing!" Carlson grinned, as he folded his arms.
"... not you too..." Greta's right hand covered her eyes.
"Whatever!" Enrick grabbed his sister's hand, as he faced the exit. "Time to leave this nightmare!"
Already leaving?
"Huh?!" Hun rose his head, as he stared at the ceiling. "Did I just hear a voice coming from that ceiling?!"
"... you listened to another voice like that, before..." Greta was already looking at Hun, as her mouth downturned. "Don't you remember?"
"What's up with you?!" Enrick frowned at the ceiling. "Are you spying on us?!"
Ever since you put your feet inside this laboratory... were you seriously thinking no one would check your actions?
"I wasn't even expecting to be treasure hunting for puzzle pieces!" Enrick growled. "We are leaving now, however."
You can't.
"What the turf did ya just said?!" Greta scowled at the ceiling too.
You can't.
"... what is this, a prank?!" Ana was also frowning, but she was also shaking herself a little.
No. You started a game we took all day to set... you will finish the game right here, right now. If you find the puzzle pieces, I will let you leave.
"What are your games behind such request, old man?!" Greta snorted, as her hands went on her sides.
As I said, this game took all day to set... and I would grow angry to see it all wasted just before of a girl getting her head stuck in a pair of VR Goggles.
"How about you would take that thing out of the room, so no one would ever wear it..." Enrick sighed. "Did you even think about it?"
... ok, perhaps we should had thought about that part a little better... but at the same time, only idiots would decide to wear a pair of unknown
"YOU ARE THE IDIOT!" Enrick's free hand pointed at the ceiling with his forefinger. "And if you think that we would stay here, playing this turfing game for any longer... then think again, because YOU WILL SEE US LEAVING!"
The glass-wearing boy began walking, pulling his sister with him.
"... why you shouted...?" Zira whispered at him.
The Inkling kept walking, as he was soon facing the familiar counter at the hall. He was followed by the rest of the gang. Once he reached the hall, Enrick aimed straight at the entrance.
As he stepped in front of the glass barrier, he halted and watched it for a brief while...
"... he's not opening that any time sooner." Greta sighed. "We are stuck here..."
"Turf that!" Enrick slammed a fist against the glass door.
"Enrick!" Ana grabbed his left arm, as she pulled it. "Do you want to hurt yourself?!"
"Help me out!" His head aimed at the girl. "Get rid of this stupid door!"
Carlson grinned, as he crackled his knuckles while rotating his head.
"I'm going to destroy it!" Hun turned into a Squid, as he began bending on himself...
The Squid charged at full speed towards the clear door, hitting it with his head: he bounced back from it, landing on the floor with a bump on his head.
"Ow, ow..." Hun's left eye closed. "That hurts..."
"Leave it to professionals!" Carlson chuckled, as he approached the glass multi-door with his fists positioned in front of his chest. "Watch the glass becoming a pile of shards!"
As the boy arrived, he began throwing a bunch of fists over the clear surface. Soon, he retreated his hands which had ink coming out from their knuckles.
"Like... I can't punch a fly, now..." He groaned, as he hid his hands inside his pockets.
"Oh, great..." Greta rolled her eyes, as she folded her arms. "We didn't need another injured Squid in our group..."
"Wh-what else we can do...?" Ana looked over Enrick.
"We need a weapon." Enrick stared at each Squid. "It's our only chance to break those darn defenses."
"... hopefully, we can do it..." Greta took a quick, deep breath.
