Sorry for the long wait. I finally folded to correcting my story of basic grammatical error because of the amount of messages I was receiving. That doesn't excuse the fact that I haven't put out a chapter in a month. I therefore apologize for that.
Regardless, I wish to thank all of you who managed to make this story the most followed story in all of KFP fanfics on this site. I know this is probably not your most favorite story but there must have been something in it that drew you all in. Hopefully that is still there. Hard to imagine that happening back when I started this story in January, 2018. Also, I believe I forgot to wish this story a happy bday last time.
Anyways, this story is continuing to grow in all directions including length and the amount of people reading it. I hope that is continues to do so. More importantly, I hope that it deserves it.
I shouldn't keep you all anymore. Please, enjoy
Chapter 45: Split
POV: Tigress
I was in a complete state of shock. Xiulan… my… mother? It was words that I never thought I would have heard. This entire moment was something that I never imagined would ever happen. After so long thinking that I was the only tiger from my time in Bao Gu to Gongmen City, I didn't expect that I would be surrounded by others like… me.
This was a feeling that I deep down always wished for but didn't know until not. Sure, I came along on this trip to discover where I came from and see if any of it still existed. I never expected that it was ACTUALLY going to be here.
I could tell that the Convener and Xiulan, I mean my mother, were waiting for me to say something. All I could do right now was stare back into her eyes and notice how different they were from mine. The color was eerily similar, but the what they expressed was completely different from the look mine would give back to me in a reflection. Her expression was warm and welcoming, mine was usually callous and dissecting. Even passed that, I knew that she was who Rong claimed her to be.
Still, it doesn't hurt to make sure, "Is that true? Are you really my mother?"
She nodded with the same warm feeling passing through her gaze, "It is. I know it must be a lot to take in, but I am your mother."
She didn't seem to give too much away about how she was feeling. Her response was restrained at best, and it was easy to see why. The small group that had gathered around us were watching everything unfold with perked ears and attentive eyes. Rong also seemed to notice this.
"Alright, all of you get back your morning tasks. A village still needs to run." The group that had gathered around us decided, smartly, to continue what they were doing. It only left A few of us left, but that was quickly going to change. Rong continued, "Alright, I should follow my own advice. I am going to leave you two since you probably have a lot of question for one another."
Xiulan nodded, "Probably a good idea. Come, Tigress. Follow me to my home. We should be able to talk there." I could tell she was a little uncomfortable around me, especially when she uttered my name. She began to walk in the direction she had initially come from. I followed shortly behind.
The sun had finally rose above the horizon and bathed the village in a gentle glow. It brought a picturesque scene to the village, the rice fields behind the village and a small amount of mist rising from the water pools in the fields. It was beautiful and welcoming.
We said no words to each other. Neither one of us knew how to engage with one another. Just as I have been wondering what my real parents we like and to have one in front of me, I am sure she has been waiting my entire lifetime to be reunited with me. I don't think there was an easy way for us to begin a conversation.
We finally made it to what I assumed to be her home. It seemed no different from the others, nothing was apparent that would indicate her position on the Council. It just seemed to be made of the same wooden structure with a rock façade like what would be in the Valley of Peace. She opened her door and a small creak emanated from it. She invited me in with a polite smile on her face.
When I got a look inside, it reminded me of a more comfortable version of the barracks. The rooms were separated by paper designs. The room was centered around a fireplace and a chimney seemed to extend above it. A small, dying fire rested in the fireplace with the pot that would usually go above it being put to the side. A few chairs circled the fire. From the main room, I could see a doorway entering what I assumed as a bedroom and then stairs on the other side to an upstairs.
"Do you like it?" I turned around to look at Xiulan who watched me with an interested gaze.
I took one more look around the room before finally answering, "It seems comfortable. Do you live here alone?"
Her polite smile seemed to drop before answering, "I am afraid so. I do have visitors once in a while, but it has been a long time since I have shared this space."
I didn't let it show, but I did feel a moment of sadness when she said that. I don't know why it bothered me so much that she lived alone, I barely even knew this person. How could the distinction between her being a complete stranger and her being my mother have such drastically different feeling involved.
She continued, "If only your father had been here to see you here with me now. He would finally rest in peace knowing that a little bit of our family had been brought back together..."
I was hesitant to approach this subject, "What happened to him?"
Xiulan's mood slightly depressed, but she also seemed emotionally alright to answer the question. "Lord Shen happened. Being subjected under his rule to mine from dawn until dusk was hard enough without the starvation and disease ravaging our kind. Tigers were so proud before all that happened, and we didn't bother with the outside rule of others. When we were all forced to do his bidding, many of us died resisting any command he gave us." Xiulan let out a stressed breath, "Your father did his best under those circumstances and even received a few beatings protecting me. It wasn't until you were born that we decided that our kind decided that we were done living as slaves."
I looked at her with surprise, "I was born when you were in captivity?"
She nodded, "Yes, we were both afraid that you wouldn't make it. There was barely enough to feed you and we did our best to hide you from those wolves. When the uprising finally happened, your father and I decided that I should take you away and find a place for you to have a better life. We knew that if the uprising was successful that there was still a hard road to go down. We wanted you to have a real childhood."
The chair that I had been gripping started to crack under my grip. Anger stirred within me from that. I began to think to myself, 'A real childhood?! I was an outcast at the orphanage and then put through grueling training to become a Kung Fu Master. I had no childhood!'
It appears that Xiulan didn't notice my angered state or she just didn't react. She continued to tell her story, "So I took you to an orphanage far away. By the time I came back, the tigers were free. Even then, your father wasn't spared from an illness that would end up taking him after we finished this home…"
She seemed to trail off. I could tell that she did he best to tell this story because she knew I deserved to know what happened, but that didn't help the fact that she rushed the end and drifted off. While I was sorrowful by finally knowing the truth, I couldn't help but feel anger. "You left me at an orphanage and never came back for me. Even after all this time and you didn't come back for me. Do you know what it is like to grow up thinking that you are a monster and hold no control?"
Xiulan finally looked at me in the eye, "No… but I spared you the suffering you would have endured here. Look at you now. You are a Kung Fu master."
"You can't just rationalize leaving your daughter! It doesn't matter if I am a Kung Fu Master or working in a field. I never got the opportunity to grow up with my own kind and for once be viewed without fear. I just wanted the choice to be here." Fury never left my glare as I looked at my 'mother'.
Xiulan's ears were back and she looked down in shame. She responded with a quiet voice, "I am sorry… I should have at least come back for you or find out where you had ended up. I did my best to protect you from harm. I should have realized that you could be hurt in different ways."
After all this time of not knowing my parents or even knowing if they were alive, my emotions were finally leaking out. I was enraged, scared, and even on the verge of tears. I just didn't know how to react right now. I took a small breath to calm myself before responding. I realized that I may have overreacted a little, "I know you did what you thought was best. I just always thought that I was the only tiger."
"I know." Xiulan walked up to me, "If you would allow me, I would like another chance to be a mother. I know that I probably don't deserve it after all this time, but-"
I held up my paw, "It might take some adjusting, but I would like nothing more than that."
With the momentary tension out of the air, both Xiulan and I looked each other as we began to get more comfortable with each other. The odds of us ending up in each other's company seemed impossible, but here we both were. This was something that I had desired since my time at Bao Gu. I was completely exhausted to the point that I could barely think.
I asked, "There wouldn't be a place for me to get some rest, would there? I didn't really get much sleep last night…"
Xiulan… My mother smiled warmly at me as she motioned for me to follow her. In my dazed state, I could only follow here with a numb mind. So much has happened today and yet I feel like I was completely forgetting something…
POV: Kyle
My skull felt as if it were about to split open. My headache was what woke me, and it only intensified when I tried opening my eyes. Blinding light filled my vision and was only eased when I instinctively closed my eyes. I tried to put my hand up to block the light but was thwarted by a brace around my wrist. A sound of metal clanking together was made from the action.
I stopped what I was doing to think. 'I don't remember going to sleep like this… Come to think of it, I don't remember going to sleep at all.' I began to recall what had happened to the night before. Being ambushed and then being hit by something. Everything that happened after seemed a bit fuzzy, and I don't think I can recollect what happened. Were we captured? By the sheer fact that I am restrained would suggest so.
I tried to open my eyes once more but the pounding of my head and blurriness of my vision kept me from analyzing anything. All I could see in front of me was an orange, white, and black form. It commanded to me with a colder voice, "Resist your restraints again and I won't hesitate to knock you out."
Her feminine voice seemed very familiar as well as being different at the same time. I mumbled out, "Tigress?"
A growl emanated from this person, "No." My heart dropped a little at this. What the hell could have happened for us to get split up and for me to be in the company of this agitated individual? I guess I am just going to have to wait to find out.
Since there was nothing else to do, I began to mentally check up on what wounds I may have suffered. My leg was killing me from whatever had struck it and whatever chemical was used to sedate me. I was sore all over and had a vague sense that I was very dirty. Whoever was watching over me didn't seem to really care about my wellbeing nor my overall hygiene. It was looking more likely that I was captured by some bandit.
My senses began to sharpen as I finally got a look at the figure before me. They were covered in stealthy wear that didn't help me identify them. All I could see were her eyes which were a slight glowing green. I could see that she was glaring back at me.
I adverted my gaze and decided to get a good look at my surroundings. It seems like I was in a clinic of some kind. Kind of odd that I am in a healer's hut and feel like I haven't been treated for whatever had been injected into me via arrow. However, this information did suggest that I wasn't captured by bandits. If that is true, who captured me?
Before I could contemplate my situation any further, two more individuals entered the tent. Their identities weren't hidden as like the one watching over me. I involuntarily jumped at seeing two tigers in front of me. Neither one of them was Tigress. Anyways, while I was jumping against my restraints, "What the fuck!" Seeing the other two tigers exposed, the female drew down the covering from her face to show that she was also a tiger. With some variation in strips and her overall look she did look similar to Tigress.
Anyways, the larger tiger smiled at me, but I couldn't exactly say it was a welcoming one. It was more of one that was just trying to be distantly polite, "Ahh, our little guest is now awake. Perfect timing for me to come by."
I was a little scared of what was happening, "Where am I and how did I end up here?"
The large tiger stood near me as he analyzed me. He seemed to be determining what he wanted to reveal about my current predicament. He finally answered, "We brought you to our village. While I am not entirely happy about that fact, and trust me when I say no one is, it is true. You were sedated with a chemical when you were brought here to be treated."
I let out a gruff response, "It doesn't really feel like I am being treated here."
The tiger didn't seem all that impressed with my irritated tone, "That is because one of the ways of treating you is letting the chemical run through your system." To me, that sounded like bullshit. 'One of the ways'? I am sure that it was probably the most uncomfortable way to clear me of it.
From this little encounter, I could instantly tell that they were not at all happy with me being in their village or them having to reveal themselves to me. I was chained, treated in a terrible way, and they are obviously hostile at me for some reason. They seemed to have a reason for even revealing themselves to me, and my bet is it has something to do with Tigress.
I decided to switch the topic off of my current medical care, "Alright, now what? I don't assume you are just going to unchain me."
The tiger entered deep thought for a moment, "You woke up before I could even get a good look at you. Right now, I haven't the faintest idea on what to do with you."
My eyes narrowed, "If I didn't know any better, it seems that you are treating me as a criminal. However, that doesn't make sense since I am not one."
The female tiger that was originally watching me broke into our conversation, "Not a criminal! It is because of your kind that we were enslaved and-"
"Rhuya, enough!" The larger tiger cleared his throat, "You are not our enemy. Quite frankly, I don't know enough about you to make that judgement. I can only act on what I have seen so far and that is only based on how your friend wanted to follow you here. So, I am going to grant you amnesty for now and allow you to stay for a couple days."
"Rong, you cannot seriously think that this would be a good idea. You can't-" The words of 'Rhuya' were cut off once again by the larger tiger.
"My decision is final. You should know better than to question the word of your Convener. Now go. You are relieved of this post." Rong glared back at Rhuya until she finally submitted with a small bow. She rushed out of the room to take her anger out somewhere else.
Rong motioned at the other tiger, "Sha-Ren, you mind getting these restraints off him." The other tiger, 'Sha-Ren', nodded without expressing his inner thoughts. With the cuffs off my wrists I was finally able to sit up. I rubbed my wrists to ease the ache of having the metal off of them.
"Do you mind telling me where Tigress is?" I asked the two tigers without raising my eyes to look at them.
Rong was the one to answer, "I am sure that she is preoccupied with being reunited with her mother. I can have Sha-Ren bring you but-"
I interrupted him, "What? Tigress has already met her mother?" Rong nodded as I thought for a moment. I guess I am happy that some of her family survived for so long, especially someone like her mother. Another part of me was distressed that I missed such an important meeting. I wasn't there for her when she possibly needed me.
A feeling of isolation also washed over me. In such a short timespan I have learned that there is still a tiger village hidden somewhere and that at least Tigress's mother is still alive. To know that she has such a community that is just like her here brings me a feeling of loneliness and happiness at the same time. I don't know which one is the more powerful feeling though.
I finally responded to Rong with an absentminded tone, "It would be nice for me to check up on her."
Rong nodded, "Alright, I will have Sha-Ren see to it. If you would excuse me I have some matters to take care of."
Rong quickly left the room leaving only Sha-Ren and me. Sha-Ren motioned for me to follow, "Come along, I will show you the village a little as we walk."
"That would be generous of you." The slight joking tone was carried with some sarcasm. However, it seemed that Sha-Ren didn't seem to mind.
He looked back at me as we walked through the exit, "And why would you say that?"
I let out a sigh and shrugged my shoulders, "I don't really think anyone is really happy with me being here."
He responded, "That would be because you are the first non-tiger to be in our village. It has nothing to do with what you are." I raised my brow at him as I questioned him with my glance. He sighed, "Alright, it has a little to do with what you are. Many see you as a threat and others see you as a monster."
I rolled my eyes. He was a little redundant with that explanation. I asked, "What about you and Rong? I don't think he really saw me as a threat, just that he didn't know enough about me."
"That is because he is supposed to be the most openminded and observant out of all of us. We rely on his wisdom for our survival. He cannot actively learn about something without approaching it from the most neutral position. That means he has to hide what he thinks about you a little. Trust me, he is a little threatened by you."
I stopped, "What about you? Do you see me as a monster or a threat?"
He turned around and looked at me with an impartial expression, "Obviously not enough of either. You are standing in our village for a reason."
I pieced it together a little before catching back up, "Wait, you are the reason I am here? Why did you decided to bring me here?"
He shrugged his shoulders, "I was tasked with bringing your friend here. She wouldn't leave you, so I decided to bring you as well." This entire conversation was taking up the 'tour' I was receiving on the way to Tigress. I focused once again, "I wouldn't think much about it. We are more interested in your friend and we will tolerate you being here for however long you are here."
My expression tightened a little. He was by far the kindest so far, but I instantly understood that he was not my friend. I breathed in and then I breathed out. I am here with Tigress and I will 'tolerate' being here as long as she wishes. Once that time is up, I will be more than excited to leave. Once again, I am here for Tigress.
The space opened up a little and we seemed to be in a courtyard of some kind. Sha-Ren seemed to answer my thoughts, "This is the center of our village. From here, you should be able to make it to any corner of the village through one of these main streets."
While the buildings and village itself were interesting, it was the people that were catching my eye.
Every. Single. Tiger. Was. Watching. Me.
I looked around with a nervous glance as I watched them all. Hostility and general curiosity were the majority of looks. Beyond that, there were no smiles or happiness. My breath caught in my throat. It was like being in the Valley of Peace for the very first time and walking among the citizens there. It doesn't matter how much time I had spent in this world. I would always be graced with these glances.
Sha-Ren looked back at me to see me looking around at everyone. He then gave a look at everyone's direction and they seemed to answer by continuing their work as if I didn't exist. He spoke to me, "That wasn't a polite way of greeting a guest, but what can you expect. We don't really have a fond view on your kind here. They usually tie that together with Shen."
Of course, they do. The only exposure they have had with humans is with that bunker. It doesn't that many thousands of years had separated humans from these tigers. My kind was probably connoted with war and genocide.
I chose not to respond since I didn't feel like ending up in an argument. The best thing I can do to represent myself here is to keep silent and not exacerbate their negative feelings for me. So, I just listened to Sha-Ren as he described some of the buildings were walking by. A bakery here, and over to the size was a blacksmith. There was not really two of any goods places other than there being a few restaurants. It made sense since they really weren't competing against each other like other local economies.
We finally made it to the edge of town and began to approach a house on a small hill. It seemed like a nice enough home. Before we even reached the door, Sha-Ren turned around to say something. "I shouldn't have to remind you to be polite. While Xiulan is Tigress's mother, she is also a member of the Council. She holds significant power in our village.
I raised my brow at the request. It wasn't like I was going to be impolite. It seemed like a strange request. So, all I could do was nod at him.
Sha-Ren smiled before we both headed toward the door. The tiger knocked on the door a few times before we waited for a response. The sound of walking slowly increased in volume until the door opened to show a slightly older tiger female.
"Ahh, Sha-Ren. I wasn't expecting you to come by so soon." She looked over at me and he smile drooped a little, but it didn't disappear completely. "Ahh, you must be our guest. My name is Xiulan, it is a pleasure to meet you."
I nodded, "I'm Kyle, nice to meet you as well."
Sha-Ren nodded to Xiulan as well, "I am just bringing this one along so that he can check up on Tigress. I hope that was alright for me to do."
Xiulan smiled back at him, "Of course. Are you going to be joining us as well?"
"No, I have important business to take care of. I will probably be back over to see how things are going." He began to depart, "I leave you to watch over him. Please let me know if anything happens."
I glared to myself. I guess Sha-Ren was tasked to at least watch over me. The more time that goes by here, the more I am disliking this place. I just hope things are going much better for Tigress.
Xiulan looked back at me with a renewed smile after Sha-Ren left, "Please come inside."
Keeping my internal thought to myself, I walk through the entrance while I politely smiled back. Even with the freedom of being away from tiger warriors I still felt like a prisoner here.
Before I could even dwell further in that thought, Xiulan interrupted, "Would you like some tea? I am afraid that you are going to have to wait for Tigress. She is resting after a long night, but she should be awake anytime soon."
I looked around the traditional furnishings as I answered, "Tea would be nice." Xiulan walked out of the room and toward the kitchen area. She retrieved some glassware to pour the tea into as I continued to take in the surroundings. I asked, "So… You are really Tigress's mother?" Might as well engage in some idle chitchat.
Xiulan poured out some tea for us to drink as she responded, "Yes. I know it must be hard to accept, but she is my daughter. It breaks my heart that we have been separated for so long, but that is what had to happen."
I nodded as I understood a little bit of what happened, "I sympathize with you. It must be hard to let go of your daughter."
Sensing some hesitance in my voice, Xiulan reassured me with a smile. "I know you think that I hold it against you that you are what you are-"
I deadpanned, "Human."
She nodded, "Right, a human, but I don't. You are not to blame for what happened to my people. That fault belongs with Shen and him alone. I cannot lie when I say that I am a little nervous around you."
"That is probably the most openminded response I have gotten so far. It does make me a little less anxious to hear it from you of all people."
Xiulan handed me my tea, "You are a friend of my daughter and I can read a tiger better than I can a human. From that, I can only gather that you must be alright enough."
I smiled. Maybe I was blowing everything out of proportion here. I know that Sha-Ren and the other tigers I have met so far are not my friend, but it doesn't mean that there won't at least be a few that are friendly like Xiulan. In her company, perhaps these two days won't be an entire mess.
Footsteps echoed down the hall and then Tigress came into view. Her eyes rested on me and her breath caught in her throat, "How could I forget about checking up on you?!" She ran up to me and brought me into a tight hug, "Are you doing alright? How have you been treated?"
While we were in the hug, Tigress's mom looked at us with a curious gaze. I then focused back on Tigress and reassured her, "I am alright. You shouldn't be angry with yourself over checking up on me."
She finally pulled away and she smiled, "Thank you for making me not feel too guilty…" She looked at the tea we were drinking and at both of us. "I can see that you are getting acquainted with each other."
Xiulan made her way back to the kitchen and seemed to be getting more tea for Tigress, "We are. It has been a while since I have been in the company of something other than a tiger. There are only a few supplies that we need from the outside, and I am not one of the people who gets them."
Tigress playfully glared at me, "Hopefully he is making a good impression then." She then made her way over to her mother to grab the teacup.
I crossed my arms and smirked, "Well, I am not doing anything to be rude."
Tigress smiled at me and gave me a peck on the cheek, "I am sure you are." Her playfulness disappeared as she glanced back at her mother who seemed to be doing tasks in the kitchen with her back turned to us. She stated, "I still have one more question that I haven't had the chance to ask."
Xiulan turned around and motioned for us to sit at a short table. We joined her as she was the first to sit in a lotus position followed by Tigress and me right across from her. She smiled at Tigress as she waited for the questions. Tigress took a moment before asking, "Did you ever name me?"
Xiulan's smiled disappeared from the question. She responded, "No. Your father and I thought it was best to not to name you. It would have just made giving you up all the more difficult." She continued with a brighter demeanor, "The name you got, Tigress, does fit you. Just a little weird seeing that we are all tigers here."
I chuckled at that as Tigress glared at me. I mean, it wasn't that odd since the entirety of the Five is named after what animal they are. Tigress actually deviates the most from that.
I finished my cup of tea as I then asked, "I forgot to ask, do you know where our things are? I can't believe I forgot about them until now." Tigress nodded at this.
Xiulan thought for a moment, "They should be brought back here sometime today for you to collect. In the meantime, I suggest you both head to the springs to bath at some point. I have my own personal springs a little way out back. You should have all the privacy you will need out there."
I mused, "I guess that thought slipped my mind. I will probably head out there sometime shortly."
Tigress rested her head on my shoulder as she joked, "Yeah, you definitely need a bath."
I snorted out of my nose, "Of course you would say that."
All the while we did this, Tigress's mother looked at us with a slightly concerned look. Tigress was the first to notice this as she looked quizzically back at Xiulan. "What is it?"
Xiulan looked as if she were trying come up with a way to phrase her question. She then asked, "You two aren't just friends, are you?"
Tigress and I looked at one another with some hesitation. Tigress responded, "No… He is courting me."
Xiulan sighed at that, "I was afraid that you were going to say that." I furrowed my brow as I listen with intent. There has to be a good reason for why she sounds like that is a bad thing. She continued, "It has nothing to do with him be 'human' as it pertains with all other species. We as tigers follow a strict code of honor and for survival. As tigers, we are not allowed to be with another that is not a tiger. I will be more understanding than others, but you should just know to keep it to yourself while you are here. While I don't entirely approve of it-" She grabbed onto Tigress's paws with her own, "-I do want you to be happy, so I won't say anything about it. If you are going to stay, you should know our customs."
Both Tigress and I went wide-eyed. Tigress responded, "Stay? What do you mean by that?"
Xiulan smiled, "We have been brought back together and I can finally be a mother again. There is no reason you have to leave. You can stay here if you want." Tigress looked a little lost on how to respond. However, it doesn't seem like she needed to. "I didn't want to spring that on you. Just take a few days to think it over."
Tigress didn't respond at all. She looked like she was hit with a bus as she didn't know how to react to all this new information. I just looked on with a thoughtful look. This was not exactly how I imagined this trip to go at all.
A little later…
Tigress and I had managed to slip away from Xiulan's home as we made our way to the spring she brought up earlier. The pool of water was large enough to accommodate quite a few people let alone just two. I was the first to undress with Tigress's back turned. I walked into the warm water and said, "Alright, I am in."
Tigress spoke, "Turn around."
I shuffled in the water as Tigress began to prepare herself as well. She soon entered the water and rested on the edge of the pit. I turned around and looked back at her. The water was more than effective at covering anything submerged from the various minerals dissolved and stream rising from the water.
I then spoke, "Alright, we need to talk about this."
"I know we do. It was just a lot to put on me at once."
"I know it is, and you have the right to make your decision. It is just… well… you actually do only have a couple days to think about it." I thought for a moment, "Wait, probably less at this point."
Tigress's gaze narrowed as she looked at me, "What do you mean?"
I sighed, "I wasn't going to say anything, but they said that my visit here can only be for a couple of days. I am probably one of the first people here that isn't a tiger. Not only do they not like that, but they also don't like the fact that I am human." I looked at her with a thoughtful look, "I didn't want your time here to be tainted with that thought. Now that you have the choice of staying here indefinitely, you should at least know what is on the line. You can very well stay, but you will probably not ever see the Jade Palace and our friends again, and I cannot stay here."
Tigress's expression tightened as she realized her choice, "I do not want to stay here without you, and I cannot possibly leave our friends of Master Shifu."
I smiled and walked up to her slowly before sitting right next to her. I then became sadder when I thought more about it. "I knew you were going to say that." I thought to myself at the end of that. I am afraid that when she spends a little more time here that she won't want to leave.
Chapter 45 done and the works of Chapter 46. As for the next few chapter, this one is probably going to play an important role. I worked to give the foundation of what each of the characters are going to experience. Kyle is feeling alone and in an unfamiliar place (understatement), Tigress is going to be split (HA) between where she belongs, and some of the side characters are going to play a very important role in all of this. I shouldn't reveal too much.
So, since the edits are done I shouldn't have any excuse to not get the next chapter out quickly. I am hoping that it is an easy write but there will be something standing in my way.
Thank you for all the favorite, follows, and reviews that you guys keep supplying. I will work on my end to make sure it is all well worth it. It is my job for next chapter to really irritate some of you in the good kind of way. I hope I deliver.
Until Next Time,
Forsvaret-Komandir
