Part 2 Life Choices. Chapter 46 Time to Recover

The next morning, a nurse brought Rory in a wheelchair down to where Jess was waiting for her in one of the acupuncture treatment rooms. Jess grinned when he saw the nurse wheel her in the waiting room. "I can take it from here," he told the nurse. "How are you feeling this morning?" He asked Rory as he wheeled her into the treatment room.

"Not as sick as I have been, they gave me some anti-nausea medicine this morning, and it seemed to help."

Rory looked around the room and heard the relaxing music that was coming from speakers hidden somewhere in the room. She noticed a massage table covered with a sheet and blankets in the middle of the room. A reclining chair was beside a large window that had a view of the pond that was in the back property of the hospital. She watched as the swans swam lazily in the water.

Rory snorted. Jess looked up and noticed where she was looking.

"Swans?" she asked him.

"I'm safe. They are out there, and I'm inside where our paths never cross. Plus, some of my patients find them relaxing to watch."

Jess placed her wheelchair beside a small table and stool where he sat. She took a deep breath and smiled when she inhaled the aroma of Lavender and peppermint. Suddenly she didn't feel nervous anymore.

Rory looked over at the table and the charts that covered the walls. "What are you going to do to me?"

Jess grinned. "I promise you will like this. Acupuncture is safer for you and your baby, and it has been practiced for centuries. The first thing I am going to do is check your pulse and inspect your tongue. Then I am going to use these little needles and place them in certain points in your hands, wrist, elbows, and other areas that will stimulate the blood flow or qui (chee). " Jess took her small wrist in his hand and placed his fingers on it.

"Oh," she said when she felt him press his fingers on the crease of her wrist.

"I want you to sit back and relax," he told her and then gently pressed his fingers on her wrist, jotting down notes on a chart in front of him. After five minutes, he asked, "Stick out your tongue." Jess peered inside and then sat back. He then made some notes on his chart before he helped her out of the wheelchair.

"Okay, this will take about thirty minutes. I want you to climb up on the massage table and relax. Lie on your back and place your head on the pillow. Are you comfortable?" he asked her as she lies on her back.

"Yes," she said.

"Good, I am going to put some alcohol on your wrist where I will insert the needles, and a few places on your leg and feet. " Jess wiped the areas on her wrist, then he lifted her pant leg and removed her socks, cleaning the area he was going to use with the alcohol pads. Jess continued to explain to her what he was doing. "After I place the needles in the points, I will turn on the heat lamps so you will be comfortable and let you relax for twenty minutes. Then I will return to the room and remove the needles. I will bring you back to your hospital room where Finn will be waiting to take you home. Okay?"

"Okay," she responded looking at him anxiously.

"Relax, I promise this won't hurt at all. I am not going to put many needles in you today since this is your first time. Ready? Take a deep breath." As Rory took a deep breath in, Jess inserted a needle. "Let the breath out. Did you feel that?"

"No," she said.

"Good, Okay, we have seven more. Take a breath in…, then out." Jess repeated these words six more times as he inserted the needles. After each needle he would check to make sure she was not uncomfortable or in pain. Once the last needle was placed, he turned on the heat lamp and the new age music.

"Ror, I know this isn't the type of music you like, but I want you to relax. Listen to the sound of the waves beating against the shore and picture the beach in Australia that you and Finn will be sitting on in a few weeks, while I freeze my butt off here in Connecticut."

Rory giggled as Jess turned off the lights. "Close your eyes, and I will be back soon." Jess shut the door and left the treatment room and walked into his office, where he sat and quickly called Ashlyn.

"Hey, I just left Rory. She is having her first treatment. Give me a call later when you get this message. " He hung up and sat back in his chair and thought about last night.

Finn was sitting in the cafeteria in the hospital with Mia and Angus sipping a cup of coffee.

"So why is Rory having acupuncture?" Angus asked. "Is it something to do with her falling last night?"

"She has severe morning sickness, and instead of giving her a lot of medication that could hurt her and the baby, they are treating her this way."

"It makes sense to me," Mia told him. "Your mum is into the natural herbs and oils, and I am sure she will make up a pot of ginger-tea for Rory when she gets home. Angus, we are lucky that I haven't been sick with this pregnancy."

"Well, you're an Aussie from tougher stock," Angus told her, kissing her Finn watched the two of them and smiled.

Mia pushed Angus away and turning to her brother in law she asked, "Finn how can we help Rory when she comes home."

"The doctor wants to keep her stress down and have her eat this list of food. She is not allowed coffee or caffeine of any type."

"Wait, doesn't she inhale coffee? I mean, you two met at a coffee shop. And I have watched her drink a pot of coffee by herself in an hour," Angus said to his brother.

"Yes, both she and her mother are coffee addicts. This won't be easy," Finn admitted.

"I can help with the wedding preparation," Mia said.

"Great. Why don't you talk to mum, and she can let you know what needs to be finished? In the meantime, I will talk to Dad, Christopher, and Luke."

Finn's phone rang, and he looked down at it.

.

"Huh, it's Tristan. Do you mind if I take it? He must be checking in to see how Rory is feeling," Finn said. His brother and sister in law nodded as Finn walked out of the cafeteria to take the call.

"Ow-yar goin, mate," he said to Tristan.

"Not bad, Finn. How is Rory?"

"Better, she should be released soon. So what's up?"

"Finn, last night at the party, do you remember when you, Colin and Logan, were telling us the story about the sub party that you had at the Gilmore house?"

"Yea, what about it."

"Juliet started taking a video of the group just before you had left to find Rory. Juliet got up to go looking for the two of you, and I kept the video going. I had gotten out of my seat and began to take a video of the party. People at the party were sending their holiday greetings into the camera while I was walking around. This morning, Juliet and I were watching the video when we noticed that I filmed the altercation between Shira and Rory. It's all on video, so I put it on a flash drive for you."

"What does it show?" Finn asked, concerned.

"I was able to adjust the sound by diminishing the background noise and enhancing the audio. You can hear what she said to Rory just before she pushes her down. Would you like me to drop it off?" Tristan stated.

"Yes, I would like to see it. I just saw the end of the altercation, so this will help. Christopher, Luke, and my father are agitated about this. Listen, we should be leaving the hospital in about an hour. Why don't you stop by in about an hour or so? I will send you her address. " Finn told him.

"Great, do you mind if Juliet comes with me? She is worried about her," Tristan said.

"No, I am sure Rory would enjoy the company. I will see you soon in about an hour. Thanks again for your help, Mate."

Finn ended the call walking back into the cafeteria where Mia and Angus were sitting.

"Finn, what's wrong?" Mia asked when he sat down.

"That was Tristan. Last night they were recording the party on their phone. This morning while they were watching the recording, they noticed that they recorded the argument between Shira and Rory."

"Finn, you and Da need to see that. Give me Tristan's number, and I will go and get the footage," Angus said, pushing his chair out and standing up.

"Sit down Angus. Tristan copied it on a flash drive, and he is bringing it to me."

"Then I will call dad and tell him what Tristan has and have him meet us at Rory's apartment." Angus turned to leave when he saw Jess walk towards them.

"Here comes Jess. I hope Rory is okay," Angus said. He then left to walk out of the cafeteria to call his father.

Luke and Lorelai arrived at Rory's townhouse early that morning. Finn had given Luke and Lorelai a list of things to pick up for them. Sookie had stopped by the diner with a pot of chicken soup for Rory, and Luke was putting it on the stove when he heard Lorelai's phone ring. He walked into the living room, where Lorelai looked at her phone. She looked up and said, "It's my mother. What am I going to tell her when she asks about Rory?"

"Don't say anything unless she asks. I am sure you will think of something. You always do," Luke said, grinning and kissing her on the temple. He returned to the kitchen, turning the burner on warm under the soup.

Lorelai sighed as she answered her phone, "Hi mom."

"Lorelai, I can't get a hold of Finn or Rory. Do you know where they could be?"

"They are probably sleeping or at his parents' place. What's so important that you need to bother them now?"

"I didn't get a chance to talk to them last night and find out what time they plan to come over to help deliver the packages on Sunday. What time can I expect you and Luke?" Emily said.

"I think we will be over early unless the roads are bad, then it will take us longer. How about I call you in the morning when I know what the weather is like and how the roads are."

"I guess that will be fine. Why did you and Luke leave early last night? Sookie said something was going on in town. Is everything okay?"

"Yes, it was a false alarm. Michele called, and there was some crazy emergency at the inn. So we both rushed back and by the time we got there, everything was fine. There was a slight problem with the sewer system. Luke and Jackson worked on it, and they were able to fix it."

"A lot of people left my party early last night, Lorelai. I never said goodbye to Finn and Rory, nor their friends. Did you know that the Huntzbergers suddenly left early too? All I am saying it is proper to thank the host and or hostess before you leave a party. People have no manners anymore." Lorelai held the phone away from her ear and rolled her eyes.

"Mom, I've got to go. Luke has the car started and we are leaving to finish our shopping before the wedding. If I talk to Rory, I will tell her to call you. Mom, Luke's calling me…, okay, Luke, I'm on my way. Bye." Lorelai hung up and opened the door in the kitchen when she heard the garage door open. Finn walked in, carrying Rory in his arms, and she was complaining.

"Finn put me down. You know I'm not an invalid, and I am capable of walking."

"I know love, but I want to carry you," he told her, kissing her on the lips before he gently placed her on the couch. Rory immediately sat up and noticed Luke and Lorelai standing in the dining area.

"Mom, Luke, there is no need for you to be here. I'm fine. In fact, after having the acupuncture treatment, I don't feel sick or dizzy."

"Great, I brought some of Sookie's soup she made for you. Why don't you relax, and I will make you a cup of coffee and get you some soup?"

"NO!" Finn said, immediately taking Lorelai by surprise.

"What?" Lorelai sat down beside Rory and put her arm around her daughter's shoulder. "I'm sure my coffee will be a lot better than what they served her in the hospital."

"Lorelai, Rory is not allowed any caffeine products. The doctor wants her to eat and drink the food on this list, which includes a lot of water."

Lorelai took the list and looked through it. "We do have the homemade chicken soup that Sookie sent, but decaffeinated tea and Gatorade? Luke, this sounds like a list you made up." Rory and her mother both pouted.

"Rory, you heard the doctor, you won't feel as sick. Love, I don't want you passing out on me during the wedding ceremony."

"Finn's right mom. It won't kill me, plus it beats being sick every morning. I want to enjoy my wedding day and honeymoon."

"Look, I already stopped at the store and picked up the Gatorade and teas. I will go and turn the kettle on and fix you a bowl of soup. Rory, Sookie sent over some of her gingerbread cookies," Luke said as he went into the kitchen and started the kettle.

"Thanks, Luke. Mom, are you going to have some soup too?"

"Yes, give me a minute while I set the table for the four of us."

Finn brought over a bottle of water and handed it to Rory. "Jess told me that you need to drink a bottle of water after your session." She took the small eight-ounce bottle from him and began to sip it.

Lorelai's phone rang and she rolled her eyes when she saw it was her parent's phone number. She stood up and walked into the front room.

"Hello, mom."

"No, Lorelai, it's your father. I am in the study; I just called to check to see how Rory is doing."

"She's fine dad. She is sitting on the couch now waiting for Luke to bring out the soup that Sookie sent with us this morning. Do you want to talk to her?"

"Yes, if you don't mind." Lorelai walked back to the couch and handed the phone to Rory.

"It's dad. He wants to talk to you." Rory took the phone from her mother, "Hello Gramppa," she said.

"How are you feeling today? Is everything okay?"

"I'm much better now. Finn, Luke, and mom are making sure that I stay rested."

"Is there anything I can do?" Richard asked her.

"No, I'll be okay."

"Tell Finn to call me if you need anything. I will come right over."

"Thanks Grandpa, I will."

She handed the phone back to her mother and laid her head down on the couch. Suddenly Rory felt tired and relaxed, so she closed her eyes and listened to her mother's voice as she walked back into the kitchen.

"Dad, thanks for calling, but everything is okay now. Dad did you know that mom called a little while ago and questioned me about the Huntzbergers. Did she say anything to you?"

"Yes, she was asking me if I spoke to you before you left. When I told her no, she said to me that Sookie had left early too, and she wondered if you explained what had happened at the Inn.

"I know dad, and I told her that there was a plumbing issue, and Jackson and Luke fixed it as soon as we returned."

"Good. Are you still planning on coming tomorrow?"

"Yes, I told mom we would be there. I am not sure about Finn and Rory. It will depend on how she is feeling." Lorelai said goodbye, then ended her call. Lorelai looked over at her husband and Finn murmuring in the corner

"What's going on? You too look serious. Are you hiding something from me?" They looked at her in surprise.

"No, I received a call from Tristan this morning, and he is stopping over with some video footage of what happened between Rory and Shira," Finn told her.

"Were you going to show it to me and show it to her?" Lorelai asked.

"No, I don't think you need to see it, Lorelai?" Luke told her.

"Why not? I'm her mother."

"Yes, and I think we need to manage this. We are going to bring it to the Manor House and show Liam, Christopher, and Richard," Luke added.

"Why are you showing my father?"

"Lorelai, your father, was terribly upset when he heard that Finn took Rory by ambulance to the hospital. Christopher already sent me a text this morning, wondering how Rory is doing and wanted to meet with Liam and me."

"Chris is sending you text messages?" Lorelai asked, surprised with this information.

"Yes, Lorelai. He contacted a lawyer and wants to talk to Finn and his father about what to do in case the Huntzbergers try to go after Rory again."

Lorelai picked up the two bowls of soup and carried them into the dining room area, leaving the two men standing in the kitchen. She walked to check on Rory and saw that she was asleep. She covered her with the blanket that was at the end of the couch and returned to the kitchen.

"Richard?" Emily called as she walked down the hall.

"Richard, I just got a call from Honor Huntzberger apologizing for her parents leaving so suddenly last night."

"What do you mean?" Richard said, looking up quickly at Emily when she walked into his study.

"She called to apologize for leaving the party so quickly. Her mother became drunk last night, and Mitchum felt it was important that they leave before anything happened."

"Huh!" Richard said, not looking up at her.

"I'm glad he did because Trudy had told me last night that the last party, she was at with the Huntzbergers, Shira became so drunk that she got into an argument with the hostess. The women were fighting, and Shira scratched and pulled her hair. They left, and Mitchum sent Shira away for a few weeks."

"Emily, make sure they are not on the list for any future parties that we have. And to think that our granddaughter almost married into that family," Richard said.

"I am so glad that Rory and Finn found each other and are getting married. It's too bad that they didn't want to wait for the spring wedding I had always planned to give her. I guess I will have to make sure that they get the proper reception. I think I will go and call Francine and start making plans."

Richard watched as his wife left and stared at her. He picked up the phone and dialed Finn's number. He needed to speak to Liam and Finn and make sure that Shira Huntzberger stays away from Rory.

Rory sat up on the couch and looked around the room. Finn walked over to her and smiled. "Feeling better love?" he asked her.

"Yes, how long was I asleep?"

"About thirty minutes." Finn sat beside her, putting his hand on her neck; he pulled her face to his giving her a deep kiss. " Are you ready to eat now?"

"Yes, the soup smells heavenly. Where's mom and Luke?"

"Right here," Lorelai said, as she carried out the reheated bowls of soup. "Come and sit down. Luke is bringing in the crackers and a cup of tea for you."

Rory stood up and was walking over to the table when the doorbell rang.

"Go sit down, I'll get it," Finn said and walked over to the front door.

Finn greeted Tristan and Juliet, inviting them inside.

"Love, we have company," Finn said as Tristan and Juliet came in carrying a bag of fruit and a bottle of cranberry juice.

"Hi Luke, Lorelai," Tristan said to them.

"Hi, come and sit down we are just about to have some of Sookie's homemade soup." Luke got up and brought out two more bowls to the table. Tristan and Juliet sat down.

"Are you feeling better?" Juliet asked Rory. "I was worried about you. I brought over some cheese, crackers, and other food. I figured you probably wouldn't want to cook after hitting your head last night."

"Thanks, that was so nice of you," Rory said.

"Mare, you frightened all of us last night. Are you going to be okay?" he asked her.

"Yes, I lost my balance. I guess I shouldn't have worn those shoes last night," she pouted.

Juliet looked at her in surprise. "Rory, you didn't lose your balance. Shira Huntzberger pushed you."

"How do you know?" Rory asked her.

Tristan glanced over at Finn and Luke, then said, "Last night, we were recording the party, and I have footage of Logan's mother pushing you. Do you remember why she pushed you?"

"You have a video of what happened last night?" Luke asked Tristan.

"Yes, as I said, I was taking a video of all of us at the party, and I didn't realize it until this morning when we were watching it that I caught the moment that Mrs. Huntzberger came out of the bathroom and began arguing with Rory."

Lorelai bit her bottom lip and stared at her daughter. "Rory, do you remember what happened?'

Wearing a colorful caftan, Lucy was sitting in the chair in her room finishing her breakfast, when she heard a knock. She looked up and saw Aidan's smiling face at her door.

"Good morning, beautiful. How did you sleep last night?" Aidan asked her as he walked into her room. She carefully stood up as he gently put his arms around her waist, giving her a kiss.

"Mmm," she said, opening her eyes, grinning back at him. "I slept okay, but I am worried about Rory. I haven't heard anything from Olivia or Stephanie this morning," she told him as he helped her into her chair.

"Did you try calling Olivia?"

"I was going to wait until later since I don't know what time they made it back to the city. The last call I got from her, she said that Rory was spending the night in the hospital. Why do you think they kept her?"

"Maybe to make sure she didn't have a concussion? Remember, Robert told us that she hit her head on the wall," Aidan explained.

"Yea, I guess you are right. Do you want anything to eat?" she said, offering him some of her breakfast that she wasn't eating.

Aidan chuckled and shook his head, "No, I need to return to New Hampshire. I wanted to tell you that I will be back next Wednesday so we can go to the wedding together. Finn reserved a room for me at the hotel, and I will be here the whole weekend for the wedding. Would you like to come to New Hampshire with me on Christmas day so you could meet my family?" he asked her.

"Yes Aidan, that would be wonderful."

"Good," he replied, leaning over and kissing her. "I enjoyed meeting all your friends last night."

"I'm glad. I wish that Logan's parents would get over their problem with Rory."

"What do you mean?" Aidan asked as he sat down beside her.

"First, it was Logan's fiancée who sent her some questionable videos to her work email. Now when she should be focusing on her wedding, Logan's parents are causing problems."

"Do you know why?"

"No, I have no idea. Logan and Rory dated when they were in college and broke up the day of her graduation. According to Olivia and Steph, they had not seen each other in over four years. It wasn't until Rory and Finn started dating that Logan saw her for the first time at Robert's gallery opening in October. Logan was engaged to this British heiress, who was crazy and created a scene at the gallery."

Aidan looked at her and shrugged his shoulders. "Is it possible that Logan is still in love with her?" he asked her.

"I don't know. But if he were jealous, wouldn't Logan be the one doing something instead of his parents? When his fiancée sent the video to Rory, Logan broke up with her immediately. He was in a car accident the night he found out about the tapes. That's how he broke his hip." Lucy stared out the window and noticed that it was starting to snow. Aidan looked at her and squeezed her hand.

"It's hard to watch your friends suffer." He held her hands and brought it to his lips.

"How long can you stay today?" she asked him. Lucy likes the way Aidan pays attention to her. She was so glad he was there when she had her accident on the ski slope.

"I probably should leave soon since it's snowing pretty hard, but I don't want to leave you," he told her, kissing her once again.

Lucy pouted and said, "I don't want you to leave either. Will you call me as soon as you get home?"

"Of course I will. Will you promise you will work hard in PT so I can dance with you at the wedding?"

"Promise," she told him, kissing him again.

Lucy walked with him to the reception area and kissed him once more. She watched as he walked to his car and started it up and waved one more time. She looked around the quiet reception area and realized that she didn't want to return to her room, so she walked down the hall towards Logan's room. Logan looked up when he heard someone knock at his door.

"Good morning," he said when she hobbled in on her crutches. "You're up early. Did you have PT this morning?"

"No, I didn't want to stay in my room. Do you want to go for a morning walk with me? I figured that the more we do to get stronger, the sooner we can get out of here."

"That sounds like a good idea."

Logan reached over for his crutches and placed them under his arm. Logan and Lucy left his room and began to walk the corridor toward the heated solarium. The door opened automatically, and they stepped inside toward a bench surrounded by tropical plants. Lucy took a seat first and glanced up at the glass rooftop watching the snowflakes falling above them.

"This place is magical," Lucy said to him. "Here we are sitting inside a tropical jungle watching the snowflakes falling from the sky."

Logan sat down beside her, "Ironic, I would say." Logan looked at her quizzically. "You think that snow is magical too?"

"No, but in this room I do. It feels like I am inside a giant snow globe." Lucy glanced over to Logan, who was sitting silently looking at his hands. "Logan, are you okay? "

He shook his head. "No, I keep on thinking about last night and wondering why my mother pushed her. Rory looked so pale last night lying in that hospital bed. It's my fault that she is in the hospital now."

"Logan, I thought that Rory lost her balance. How do you know that she was pushed?"

"Finn told me. He and Alec Hollister witnessed it." Logan stood up on his crutches and hobbled over to a rubber plant pretending to look at it. He should return to Europe or go to California, get away from Rory and Finn. The jealousy he feels is eating up inside of him.

"Logan, it's not your fault. I am sure both Rory and Finn know that." Lucy said as she sat on the bench, watching him. Logan looked out the glass windows and started to talk. "I was attracted to her the first moment I saw her. She was honest and put me in my place when we bumped into her and Marty at the coffee cart. I knew that I shouldn't get involved with her; even my parents discouraged our relationship. My father sent me to London so that we would be apart. Then she told me she didn't want to get married. She wasn't ready. But she is ready now to marry Finn, even have his child."

Lucy got up off the bench and hobbled over towards him. "Logan, how do you know that Rory is pregnant?"

"I heard her mother ask how she and the baby were last night at the hospital. We never talked about having children. I wanted to have children with her after she worked as a reporter for a few years. If I only didn't walk away with my tail between my legs, it could be us now. Not her and Finn."

Lucy put her arm on his shoulder and pulled him in for a hug. They held each other before he pulled away and gazed into her face looking at her lips. Logan suddenly felt the pull to kiss her, hesitating he moved back. Suddenly, Logan felt the vibration in his pants. He reached down and took his phone out. It was a message from Finn.

Logan - Rory is home. She is going to be okay. No worries. F

"Everything okay, Logan?" Lucy asked, looking at him.

"Yes, it is a message from Finn. Rory is home, and she is doing okay."

"That's good news."

"Yes, it is."

Finn, Luke, and Tristan had left the townhouse with the flash drive and went to the hotel to show it to Liam, Richard, and Christopher. While they were gone, Juliet, Rory, and Lorelai sat and watched a movie together on Netflix. As they were enjoying the movie, Rory's cell phone rang. She looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Lane.

She got up and walked over to the kitchen area to talk on the phone. Lorelai looked and asked, "Is everything okay?"

"Yes, it's Lane, and I need to take her call. Go ahead and watch the movie."

Rory walked into the kitchen, murmuring into the phone, "Hi, Lane."

"Rory, are you okay? Sookie stopped by and said you fell last night and hit your head. She said that Finn took you to the hospital."

"Yes. I just got home. Can we reschedule the rehearsal?"

"Of course. I want to make sure you are okay?"

Lorelai walked into the kitchen toward Rory who was leaning against the counter.

"Can I talk to Lane?" she asked her.

"Why?"

"Because we will need her help and I want to see if she is available this week," Lorelai said. Rory handed the phone to her mother and leaned against the counter with her arms across her chest.

"Lane, I'm going to need your help with the wedding. Are you free this week?"

"Yes, I will be happy to help. You know I would do anything for you and Rory, Lorelai."

"Good. I will stop by or call when we get back into Stars Hollow," Lorelai told her

"No problem Lorelai. I will talk to you later. May I talk to Rory now?"

Lorelai handed the phone back to Rory and brought the bowl of chips back into the living room.

"Sorry about that, Lane."

"No, it's okay. Why does your mother need my help for the wedding?"

"When I fell, I hit my head on the wall. I had gotten dizzy and lost my balance. The doctor explained that the reason I was dizzy was that I am dehydrated."

"Why are dehydrated? Have you been sick?"

"Yes, I guess you can say that. I'm pregnant, Lane, and I have severe morning sickness."

"Wait… you're pregnant?"

"Yeah, I'm sorry I didn't mention it to you. We decided not to tell anyone except immediate family. We wanted to wait until I am in my second trimester. Please don't say anything to anyone, especially to Zac or the boys."

"I won't say anything. I did go through this too, remember? Rory, it does get better; maybe you're having twins."

"Bite your tongue," Rory giggled. "Can you imagine two of Finn's running around?"

Lane started laughing. "So what are you going to do? My mother made me drink ginger tea, but I craved Coke and Luke's French fries. They are the only food I could keep down."

"I wish. No caffeine of any kind and my doctor prescribed vitamin B6 and acupuncture. I had my first treatment today, and I was able to eat some breakfast and had Sookie's chicken soup."

Lane laughed. "Sookie's soup will help you. Listen, I don't want you to worry about anything. I'll call you back once I talk to the guys and see what time they are available this week for rehearsal."

"Thanks Lane."

Rory hung up her phone and walked back into the living room. She sat down beside her mother and put her head against her mother's shoulder.

"Everything okay now?" Lorelai asked her daughter, kissing the top of her head.

The door opened and Tristan, Luke, and Finn walked in stamping their feet on the mat as they tried to clear off the snow from their shoes.

"Is everything okay?" Lorelai asked the men watching the men as they walked towards them.

"Yea, it will be. Lorelai, it's beginning to snow harder I think we better head back before it gets too dark. Are you ready to leave?" Luke asked her.

"Yes, let me get my coat. Finn, Rory, will you be okay?"

"No worries, Lorelai. Everything will be fine."

"Mare, we need to go too," Tristan told her. Juliet stood up and hugged Rory and Finn.

"Call me if you need anything," Juliet told her. "I can help you with the wedding, running errands, whatever you need."

"Thanks, Juliet and Tris," she said giving them each a hug. "I'm blessed having you as our friends."

"I'm honored to have you as our friends Mary. Listen, you've got a good guy here, I approve." Tristan winked at her as he walked to the doorway holding Juliet's hand. She turned and hugged her mother and Luke goodbye, then Finn walked them outside to their cars.

Rory returned to the couch and pulled the blanket over her shoulders and laid down. She began to worry and wonder how she was going to get things done. Finn came back into the house and sat down beside her. Picking up her legs, he put them on his lap and began to massage the bottom of her feet.

"How are you feeling?" he asked her.

"Better now. I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to get everything finished before next Wednesday. Tomorrow we need to help deliver the packages and then I need to check the flowers, my dress…," Rory began to list everything she needed to complete before the wedding. Finn leaned over and kissed her on the lips.

"Don't worry, your mom and my mom have organized many weddings. I know that Ashlyn, Mia, and Juliet are willing to help you."

"Lane too, she called, and she is going to talk to my mom about helping out. Oh and I told her about the baby. She was sick when she was pregnant with the twins and she told me that she craved Luke's French Fries and Coke. That was all she could keep down. She also wondered if I was having twins."

"Hmm, that's not a bad idea. A little Finn and a little Rory?"

"With my luck, it will be two little Finn's," she said with a smirk. He pushed her back on the couch and leaned over her. "And why would that be so bad?" He began to kiss her lips, her cheeks, and down her neck. She arched her back pulling him closer to her. As he was nuzzling her neck, he whispered, " I have to tell you something."

"What?"

"Your grandfather knows about the baby." She pushed her hands against his chest and sat up.

"No. How, when? Does my grandmother know now too? What did he say?"

"Your dad let it slip after we left for the hospital. Luke said he was all upset and they were talking about us when it slipped. Your grandfather promised that he would not tell Emily."

"He must be so disappointed in me," she said, worried.

"He's not. He's excited about being a great grandfather. Now, where were we." Finn pushed her back down and slowly began a trail of light kisses down her neck as he slipped his hand under her T-shirt.
