"... I managed to defeat the demon Squid..." Mirii was standing up, looking at Silin who was now back to her normal self. "... but at what cost? I was looking forward to interrogate her..."

"... urgh..." Silin's right hand went over her forehead, while her eyes squeezed. "What is this headache…?"

"That demon used you in order to fight me." Mirii's head rose, as her arms folded. "She drained your energy without any consideration of your health."

"... wait..." Silin also rose her head, watching Mirii from below. "The demon got surprised when you met her..."

"Of course she would." Mirii's eyes closed. "One of the Shrine citizens called me, in order to tell me the secret she discovered."

"... huh...?" Silin's right hand went over her forehead.

"I couldn't say anything to Hunley, nor to anyone else." Mirii's eyes reopened. "I had to keep the secret until the right moment."

"Uff..." Silin's head shook. "My head is exploding...!"

Mirii bended her knees, as her eyebrows went up and her hand went below the shorter girl's back.

"We will get out of this building." Mirii rose her posture and her friend a bit, before her eyes went wide. "Gack! My back!"

Her mouth waved before she brought Silin back on the floor. Jerkily, she rose her posture back up.

"What's this pain?!" Mirii's hands went behind her back, petting it. "... actually... my chest also burns." Her eyes went white and wobbly, as her hands touched her chest, her eyebrows rose and her mouth disappeared. "It-it's all coming out all at once...!"

Her ears rose, as her face resumed a neutral expression.

"... are you hurt, Mirii...?" Silin sighed, as the back of her hand covered her eyes.

Mirii's right hand went up and down, as the girl walked towards the bathroom's exit. Slowly, her head approached the closed door, pouring her ear against it.

She stood in silent... before her eyes grew. Her right hand grabbed the door handle, unlocking the door with all her strength.

Hun jumped widely in the air, as he yelled and looked towards Mirii. The girl smiled widely.

"Hunley!" She dashed after him, hugging him tightly.

"M-Mirii?!" He blushed a lot.

"Looks like Miss Perfection was here after all."

Mirii immediately stared over her left side, seeing the rest of the Inkling gang except for Zira and Nick.

"What were you doing in the bathroom?" Ana's head tilted over her right side.

Mirii's eyes puffed for a moment... before she pointed her forefinger towards the bathroom.

"I found an injured girl!" Her eyebrows lowered. "She must be brought"

"Another one?!" Enrick groaned, as he threw his arms down. "Oh, come on!"

Hun was already inside the bathroom, bending his knees near the laying girl.

"Another one...?" Mirii's right forefinger hit her head's right side.

"Zira got injured too." Ana downturned her mouth. "She got worse, as we wanted to look for a weapon."

Mirii's mouth opened.

"A weapon?!"

"Yeah, a jerk closed us in!" Greta snorted, as her arms folded. "We need some heavy firearm, so we can break out of here."

"... what..." Mirii whispered.

"In any case." Ana's right fist went on her chest. "Zira got worse, so she went back inside that VR room and rest. Nick insisted to stay near her... so, we left him with Zira, before going upstairs and look around."

"Not to mention, we wanted to check on ya too." Greta stuck out her tongue for a moment. "And it looks like you are doing pretty fine!"

Hun exited the bathroom, as he was holding Silin with both his arms.

"Silin doesn't feel good, though!" His mouth downturned.

"You know her?" Ana's eyes went wide.

"Yes!" Hun nodded. "She lives in our villa, along with her mother."

"What is she doing here...?" Enrick's glasses shined, as his right fingers lifted it a bit.

Mirii's head lowered.

"... there is no time to explain such thing..."

"Huh?" The glasses-wearing boy opened his mouth.

"Yeah, that's a story to tell during car trips!" Greta walked near Mirii. "But first, we gotta blow up that glass entrance wide open!"

"Like, if we don't find any weapon...?" Carlson scratched the top of his head.

Mirii's mind was seeing the scientist man smiling back at her. Her eyebrows went down, before she turned herself towards Hun.

"Hunley!" Her head rose. "Bring Silin downstairs!"

"Just me?" Hun's mouth stood open.

Mirii nodded.

"We must find a very specific room..." She twisted herself towards the rest of the gang. "The room where the chief of this laboratory resides."

"If by chief you mean the laboratory's director... we were thinking about it too." Enrick pushed his glasses. "But it might not be a wise idea, considering the chief in question wouldn't be too stupid to leave himself defenceless."

"Even though the scientists all ran away, who knows what kind of tricks he has..." Ana sighed.

"A scientist didn't run away, though." Mirii nodded. "A scientist who was willing to join my side."

"A scientist who's not with you right now?" Greta bended herself forward, while her hands were on her sides. "Truly trustworthy!"

"He walked back inside the chief's office, so he would ask him if he knew anything about the paintings we found earlier." Mirii looked down the corridor.

"We found no one." Greta's head shook. "Instead, we might find your 'friend' waiting for us inside the office..."

"He could be out of the room, looking for us." Enrick looked himself behind him, before facing the taller girl back.

"I don't think so..." Greta shrugged.

"Hmpf!" Mirii folded her arms. "That man had the eyes of someone who is looking for the truth..."

"Oh, I can also make those eyes!" Greta rose her mouth, while her eyelids lowered to the middle. "... were you caught in an emotional sense of security?"

"Me?" Mirii stood on her tiptoes, as she shook her fists who were near her sides. "How dare you"

"Mirii, stop." Greta sighed. "We don't have all day to deal with this."

"Grrrr..." Mirii's eyes squeezed a bit. "... we can't go inside that office without any sort of ranged self-defense..."

"I should come with you, then."

Mirii rose her posture: Hun was frowning a little.

"I'm the only one who can protect all of you..." His eyes closed.

"That's true!" Ana smiled at Hun. "He should definitively come!"

"Wh-what about Silin?!" Mirii turned behind, as she rose her right fist. "She can't stay here!"

Carlson went past Mirii, as his hands were stretching towards the young girl.

"Like, dude..." He rose his mouth. "Give me Silin and go with Mirii."

"... yes." Hun smiled, as he brought the younger girl towards him. "Take care of her, ok?"

"Ha ha, like!" Carlson grabbed Silin with his hands, bringing her closed to his chest. "Not even a scratch!"

Hun chuckled a bit, before looking at Mirii.

"... so, I should lead all of you, huh?" His hand went behind his neck.

Mirii blushed a lot.

"Am I... dreaming this?!" Her hands covered her nose. "Hunley is... leading us...?! Ah... aaaaaaaahh..."

"Aye aye, cap'n." Greta moved closer to him, as she winked at him with her right eye. "But don't forget the amazing support from your crew!"

Greta's right elbow hit Mirii's left arm.

"G-gaaaah!" Mirii's posture lifted a lot, as her hands went down on the middle. "I will provide the exact coordinates of our destination and make sure that we will use all our energies"

"Ooook, ok! We get it!" Greta laughed.

Everyone else, except for Mirii and Silin, laughed as well.

... he's going instead...

A fist was resting on the desk.

... eh eh eh...! It would make for a better show!

Eh eh eh, ha ha haaaa!
