VILLAGE MODE (PART 1 of 3): Hangouts / Harmonious Heart events
It took a few seconds for my eyes to adjust to the dim light, and when they did, I found myself lying on a strange bed, in a strange room.
...H-Huh?
Where...am I? What is this place?
How did I even get here?
Slowly, I untangled myself from the covers and got off the bed. I stumbled a little, feeling light-headed.
Umeko: What...happened to me? The last thing I remember…
I struggled to remember anything beyond the strange voice I'd heard in my head.
I'd been...talking...to someone. But who?
The memories were hazy, floating out of my reach, determined to evade me as I struggled, grasping at them. But it was like trying to hold water cupped in my palms - eventually they started slipping through my fingers until there was none left.
Umeko: Damn it...my mind is a blank.
All I remember...is my name. Umeko Hirayama.
And that's when the television screen on the wall came to life.
Monokuma: Mic check, mic check...okay! I'm sure you're all wondering what the heck is going on around here, and I'm more than happy to give you answers! Would everyone please report to the dining hall at once! Right this very moment! Splendid! I'll be waiting…
The dining hall? Well...I guess I better go find out wherever that is and go look.
[Move to: Dining Hall]
When I got to the dining hall, everyone else was there too. And even though I hadn't yet been introduced to them, for the strangest reason, I knew everyone's names and talents.
Almost like...I'd been introduced to them before...but I'd forgotten.
Monokuma: Hello again!
Taro: [shocked] Huarghhh!
Eizo: [confused] What in the hell…?
Mordecai: [shocked] What is the meaning behind this villainy? Our captor...is a toy?
Azuma: [worried] ...And what do you mean by 'again'?
Monokuma: [giggling] Oh, never you mind about that! Upupupu…
Wakako: [confused] I've been in a LOT of weird situations before...I once had to stuff fifteen sausages in my mouth for a competition...but this...this takes the prize for the weirdest thing I've ever been through.
Taro: [scared] Wh-Why were you st-stuffing fifteen s-s-s-sausages in your m-m-mouth?
Yoshihiki: [playful] You sure that isn't an analogy for something, Wakako?
Taro: [nervous] You kn-kn-know...I read a b-b-book about this kind of thing happening once...there was a st-stuffed b-b-bear that was p-p-p-possessed by the ghost of its d-d-dead owner…
Monokuma: [annoyed] Grr...I'm not a toy! How many times do you want me to tell you?
Mordecai: [angry] This must be the work of the trickster devils again! How diabolical! How fiendish! Stand back, everyone! I shall vanquish this hellspawn and send it back to the hole from which it crawled out of!
Monokuma: [sad] I...I'm not even going to dignify that with a response...You all are so mean to your headmaster...no manners, no manners whatsoever! It's shameful, you know?
Samira: [angry] Stop talking nonsense! Just who and what the fuck are you?
Monokuma: I'm glad you asked! My name's Monokuma! Pleased to meet you!
Kaori: [confused] Mono...kuma?
Kenji: [distressed] This damned thing kinda gives me the heebie-jeebies…
Azuma: Very well then. Why have you called us here, Monokuma?
Monokuma: I'm veeery glad you asked! Because I've called you all here...to announce the Killing Game!
Kenji: [shocked] K-Killing Game?
Monokuma: …'s cancellation.
Kenji: [confused] ...Say what now?
Monokuma: You see, it's the strangest darn thing! My original plan was to force the sixteen of you to kill each other in a diabolical game of death and murder, but...for no reason whatsoever, I am suddenly compelled to spare you all that horrible fate of dying in horrible ways, killing your friends in horrible ways, OR watching your friends die in horrible ways! Isn't that kind of me?
Mordecai: [shocked] It's like...I can hear the words coming out of his mouth, b-but...none of them...make any sense!
Shizuko: [annoyed] Yeah, what he said. What the hell are you talking about? What the heck is a Killing Game?
Wakako: [shocked] And why have you cancelled it? Low ratings? Understandable, I suppose...low ratings are the biggest killer of any good reality show…
Hanako: [annoyed] Something tells me this isn't a reality show.
Monokuma: [giggling] Well...maybe now, it could be! Because guess what? Now that the Killing Game has been cancelled...I just want you all to live a peaceful, communal lifestyle here in this inn and beautiful village with your friends!
Umeko: ...W-What?
Eizo: [distressed] You mean to say...you kidnapped an entire class of SHSL students...just to make us live together? ...But w-why? What was the point?
Monokuma: Think of it like one of those reality dating shows! A bunch of young, hormonal teens living together under the same roof...people eat that stuff up!
Taro: [confused] D-D-Do they r-really…?
Wakako: [excited] They absolutely do! For once, he's actually making sense! See, Hanako? This IS a reality show! Finally! My time to SHINE! Azuma! Azuma, did you hear that?
Azuma: [happy] Heh...yeah, I heard it.
Eizo: [distressed] B-But w-wait! What's the catch? What's your ulterior motive? S-Surely there's gotta be more to-
Monokuma: Nope! No secret, no catch, no nothing! Just...spend the next few weeks getting to hang out with your fellow classmates! Several weeks of doing nothing but hanging out with your classmates...doesn't that sound like paradise?
Ichiro: [annoyed] No.
Fukumi: [disappointed] Aw, don't be such a wet blanket, Ichiro! I think it sounds like fun!
Monokuma: Exactly!
Wakako: [excited] Yeah! Ooh, ooh, do we get to film confessionals? I totally want to be the first girl to hook up with Azuma!
Azuma: [distressed] H-Huh?!
Monokuma: Now you're getting into the spirit of things!
Eizo: [distressed] B-But...what about our families? H-How are we going to get back home?
Monokuma: Eh...don't worry about that. I'll let you all free in a couple weeks time. For now, just treat this as a paid vacation, courtesy of Monokuma and the Despair fanboys and fangirls! Our gift, from us to you, to thank you for being such a wonderful class!
Miyumi: [nervous] Despair fanboys? Fangirls…?
Samira: [annoyed] What the fuck is he talking about?
Nagatomo: [snide] Hmph. Never you mind. You should just be grateful he's letting us off the hook this instance.
Monokuma: Exactly! Now then, good day to you all, and enjoy your stay!
Eizo: [distressed] But...but our kidnapping!
Wakako: [bored] Oh, drop it, Eizo. He already said he'd let us free in a couple weeks, right? In the meantime…[excited] the idea of a paid vacation in a winter wonderland sounds like fun! [playful] Perfect weather for snuggling with a certain special someone by the fireplace…
Azuma: [nervous] Um...could you not stare at me so hungrily?
Yoshihiki: [laughing] Silly Azuma! She's not staring at you, she's staring at me!
Wakako: [angry] In your dreams.
Eizo: [disappointed] Well...I-I...I guess if you all think it's okay, then...it wouldn't hurt to let loose a little.
Fukumi: [excited] Hooray! Let's party!
The world still felt like it had been flipped on its head. Nothing about this situation made sense.
A talking bear? Kidnapped for a dating reality show? Wakako's intense infatuation with Azuma? It was all incredibly confusing.
But if he was telling the truth, and we really weren't going to be harmed during our stay here, then...perhaps it wouldn't hurt, indeed, to relax a little.
And so it was that our Killing Game came to an abrupt cancellation, and our Village Mode communal lifestyle began...

1. Have a food fight
[Eizo]
Eizo: [annoyed] What? Why on Earth would we do that? Imagine the mess we'd have to clean up! [distressed] I'd have to create a list of people to put on cleaning duty, then actually convince the others to do their duty, and then I'd have to assign more people to watch them to make sure they do their duty and then I-
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Mordecai]
Mordecai: [shocked] A fight? You wish to duel...with food? I have never heard of such a ludicrous form of battle before, but...my curiosity has been peaked! [excited] If you wish to do battle with me in the culinary arena, then prepare to eat my dust!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Ichiro]
Ichiro: [annoyed] ...I'd much rather be back in my room right now.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Azuma]
Azuma: [nervous] Heh...um...I've never actually been in a food fight before. Back at headquarters, I'm usually taught strictly on the importance on never wasting food. But...I suppose if it's with you…[embarrassed] Well, I mean, that is to say...it might be a good way to unwind. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to have a little bit of fun trying something new.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Taro]
Taro: [shocked] A f-f-food f-fight? O-Oh no! I'm g-going to g-g-get creamed! I j-just know it! I d-d-d-don't have a good th-throwing arm! W-What if you throw s-something big at me? L-Like a w-w-watermelon? O-Or a p-p-pineapple? St-Stay back! I've got a l-l-loaf of br-bread here and I'm n-not afraid to use it!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Nagatomo]
Nagatomo: [bored] To use food in a food fight would suggest we were stealing the food from the supermarket without paying. And were we to destroy our stock of food, we would have no way of replacing them again. As you know, I never steal what I do not eventually return. [disappointed] Except...that one time. ...You know what, I think I should take my leave.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Kenji]
Kenji: [excited] Alright! That sounds hella rad! I didn't think you had it in you to suggest such a wild activity, Umeko. No offense, but you totally struck me as the goody-two-shoes Teacher's Pet sorta girl. But you've totally caught me by surprise! ...I like that!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Yoshihiki]
Yoshihiki: [laughing] You, of all people, want to get into a food fight, with me? I'm the reigning champion of the International Food Fight Tournament, sister. You have no idea what you're getting into! Flinging food at other people's faces is my forte!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Hanako]
Hanako: [disappointed] Really, Umeko? Of all the things to suggest...I frankly didn't expect this kind of juvenile immaturity from someone like you. Acting like a ten year old...honestly...
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Miyumi]
Miyumi: [scared] H-Huh? But...isn't food meant for...eating? A-And baking? No, don't do that! You're gonna get ketchup on my dress! [as Ms. Shortcake] And mine too! Eeek!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Shizuko]
Shizuko: [angry] A food fight? What makes you think that I, a celebrity, would ever get into such an unhygienic, classless activity with a commoner such as yourself? The nerve of you to even ask it of me! Do you have any idea the amount of money that went into making my outfit? My makeup? Tch. How classless of you. I suppose this is what commoners do to entertain themselves…
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Kaori]
Kaori: [bored] If that's all that you dragged me here for, then I think I'm just gonna get a bit of dog food for Buddy and head back…
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Samira]
Samira: [accusatory] Oh, no. No, no, no. I don't like losing in a fight, Umeko. I'm just warning you right now. I've gotten way messier with paint before. I can handle getting covered in food. So you'd better be sure you know what you're getting into, because I won't hold back.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Fukumi]
Fukumi: [shocked] No way…[excited] That's just what I was gonna say! Haha...that's awesome! Heck yeah, we're gonna have a food fight! Have you ever been showered with eggs before, Umeko? Because guess what? You're about to!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Wakako]
Wakako: [confused] What? Ew, that just sounds gross and...wait a minute. Is this...a competition? [distressed] Damn it...I can't back down from a competition, no matter what it is! Y-You...you've tricked me! Blast! Damn you, Umeko. I...I'm going to win this food fight if it's the last thing I do! [accusatory] And once I beat you in this battle, I'll win Azuma's heart! You're going down!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
2. Pick out ingredients for dinner
[Eizo]
Eizo: Ah, that's a very thoughtful thing to do, Umeko. This way, we can take a little bit of stress and responsibility off of the shoulders of whoever's on cooking duty tonight. Good on you! I'll help out too...
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Mordecai]
Mordecai: [thoughtful] Oh! Very well then. This way, we can choose what we want for dinner ourselves. [excited] I propose a hearty meal with lots of meat, fish and protein! A trained warrior such as myself needs to adhere to good dietary choices to stay strong and healthy!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Ichiro]
Ichiro: [worried] That sounds boring. I came all the way here with you just to help the others pick out their dinner? [annoyed] Can't they go do it themselves? I'm not their slave. I've got better things to do, you know?
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Azuma]
Azuma: [happy] Oh, that's a delightful idea. I was planning on cooking tonight anyway, so it's good to have you helping me decide what to cook! Now then, I need your opinion on something. Should I go with salmon, or steak tonight?
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Taro]
Taro: [excited] Ah, perfect! I m-m-may not be so g-g-good in the kitchen m-myself, b-but I have here a c-c-c-cookbook that I was hoping to g-g-g-give the cook tonight, wh-whoever it is. So we can go l-look for the ingredients f-f-first. Let's s-s-see...f-first, we need to find s-some onions...
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Nagatomo]
Nagatomo: [thoughtful] Since there are no cashiers, it technically isn't shopping nor is it stealing to be collecting ingredients. How intriguing. Am I breaking my moral code by doing this? I suppose it doesn't matter. The pragmatic thing here is deciding what we shall eat for dinner. I myself enjoy seafood the most.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Kenji]
Kenji: [confused] Pick out ingredients? I suppose we could do that...if it means we get to bring dessert to the menu. [excited] And let's make Azuma make everyone something really oily and greasy! What about hamburgers? And bacon. Lots and lots of bacon!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Yoshihiki]
Yoshihiki: [laughing] Haha...that sounds like an excellent idea! [snide] I already have a lot planned. Instead of bringing back meat and fish, we should bring back all kinds of random ingredients. Like cheese, and mangoes, and whipped cream, and cayenne pepper, and walnuts. Let's see what the cook makes with these!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Hanako]
Hanako: [happy] That's very responsible of you to suggest, Umeko. I was worried myself about whether the chef would remember to bring back ingredients for tonight. I suppose we would be helping the entire class by helping ourselves.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Miyumi]
Miyumi: [happy] Ooh, I'd love to! And my friends here would love to help as well! [as Nico] Yes, we would! [as Ms. Shortcake] Can we get ingredients to bake a cake?
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Shizuko]
Shizuko: [annoyed] You wish for me, a celebrity, to assist you in such a thankless, fruitless task? Why should I help a bunch of commoners in a commoner's job? What a chore and a bore. I can think of much better uses for my time.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Kaori]
Kaori: I guess it'd be a good idea to see what kind of food Buddy might like so Azuma can set aside a portion for him tonight. I can't help but worry Buddy won't always like the food he's prepared...
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Samira]
Samira: [disappointed] Really? You asked me here to help you pick out food for tonight's dinner? No offense, but couldn't you have gotten literally anyone else to help you with this? I was midway through working on one of my murals. I didn't really want to stop for something boring like this...
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Fukumi]
Fukumi: [excited] Food? I love food! Maybe, if I bring back loads of good ingredients, Eizo and Hanako will finally let me help out in the kitchen like I've always wanted!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Wakako]
Wakako: [bored] That sounds like work...and I mean, actual work. But...I suppose I have been putting on weight recently. Perhaps it'd be good to choose food that'd help me look thinner...and my complexion could use a little work. Okay, you're gonna need to help me choose foods that will make me look slimmer, younger, prettier...
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
3. Eat ice cream until you're stuffed
[Eizo]
Eizo: [confused] Oh? You want to gorge yourself? I'm not really hungry though...and it's bad to eat too much ice cream, especially in between meals like this. Aren't we having dinner again later?
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Mordecai]
Mordecai: [confused] Iced...cream? You wish to feast upon frozen dairy? But why? Does it contain healing powers? [accusatory] But...we are already in a winter wonderland! Why do you seek to become even colder? Is this some weird native ritual I do not know about?
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Ichiro]
Ichiro: [worried] Is this your way of telling me I need to eat more? [annoyed] I get told plenty of times that I'm far too skinny for my own good. I don't need you telling me the same.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Azuma]
Azuma: [nervous] I really shouldn't. I mean...as a spy, I need to maintain a certain level of physical fitness and that much sugar would be a nightmare for me. [thoughtful] ...But I suppose I could make an exception for a cheat day if it's with you. Oh, what the hell. My superiors won't be any the wiser anyway.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Taro]
Taro: [excited] I do like sweet stuff, but…[shocked] Th-There's s-s-so much ice cream! The frozen section's f-f-full of it! W-We'll never finish! [distressed] And it'll give me a t-tummyache...and a t-t-toothache too! And too much ice cream g-g-gives me n-nightmares as well…
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Nagatomo]
Nagatomo: That is a peculiar request. Did you really seek an audience with me simply so we could stuff ourselves full of sugar? I don't really have any opinion on ice cream either way, but it's an odd request all the same.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Kenji]
Kenji: [excited] Hell yeah! Now, you're speaking my language! I love ice cream! You sure are full of surprises, Umeko...but that's what I like about you.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Yoshihiki]
Yoshihiki: [laughing] That sounds delicious! I've been craving ice cream for a while! And I promise I won't shove your face into a pint of chocolate ice cream or anything...or won't I?
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Hanako]
Hanako: No thanks. I'll pass.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Miyumi]
Miyumi: [giggling] Heehee! I love ice cream! [as Ms. Shortcake] You love all kinds of sweet stuff, Miyumi! [as Miyumi] I guess that's true, but...I can't help it! It brings back happy memories.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Shizuko]
Shizuko: [annoyed] A celebrity such as myself must maintain higher standards than you lot. As such, I have to watch my weight. I couldn't possibly eat that much ice cream. It would be a nightmare for my body!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Kaori]
Kaori: That sounds boring. And Buddy doesn't like ice cream either. Can I go back to see him now?
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Samira]
Samira: [thoughtful] Reminds me of the time me and Katsuo broke into a supermarket after hours because we were both so hungry and starving...we ended up raiding the dessert section and just pigging out throughout the night, laughing and eating the whole way. [happy] ...Good times.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Fukumi]
Fukumi: [shocked] Whoa, really? You'd let me do that? [excited] Let me just say, I get super hyper when I get sugar in my bloodstream! You think I'm hard to control now, Umeko? Wait until you see me later! I'm going to eat circles around you!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Wakako]
Wakako: [confused] Eat ice cream? With you? I can't eat that much ice cream with you. I'd end up fat, and ugly! [shocked] And then Azuma wouldn't want to date me! Oh, the horror! [accusatory] This is all your master plan, isn't it, Umeko? You're gonna make me fat so you can steal Azuma to yourself! You horrible sow! I knew it!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
Where would you like to go?
2. Library
It looks like we're the only ones here. What should we do?
1. Read a good book
2. Read a dirty book
3. Let's take a nap
…
…
…
1. Read a good book
[Eizo]
Eizo: Grand idea. It is always advisable to keep up with one's reading. I myself like to read in my spare time [disappointed] though admittedly, I have very little spare time to begin with. But I do enjoy a good book from time to time. Shall we?
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Mordecai]
Mordecai: [excited] I love books! Granted, I don't read all that often, but I love stories and adventures about swashbuckling pirates, legendary heroes and cunning vigilantes. All people I aspire to be and look up to! A good story is always worth the time invested in appreciating it!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Ichiro]
Ichiro: [annoyed] Plants are better than books, if you ask me. [thoughtful] But...I suppose, if you promise to keep silent the whole way through, then...I wouldn't mind reading in peace and quiet.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Azuma]
Azuma: [happy] I'd be happy to read with you, Umeko. I've exhausted my entire library back at headquarters anyway, so getting to read something new should be fun to do!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Taro]
Taro: [giggling] Heehee...it's like you read my mind. This is so much fun! I could spend all day in here! I'm glad you wanted to read with me too, Umeko.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Nagatomo]
Nagatomo: [thoughtful] Indeed, a good book helps to soothe the soul in troubled times. A very wise suggestion, Umeko. I would be glad to peruse the shelves with you.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Kenji]
Kenji: [confused] Reading? Really? Since when did you like to read, Umeko? That's...honestly a little disappointing. [bored] I thought you wanted to do something fun. I'd much rather be out playing in the snow than read all day.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Yoshihiki]
Yoshihiki: [laughing] Haha, yeah! And then let's doodle in some of those books too! Taro will flip when he sees how we've vandalized his precious books. Hey, what do you mean about library property? Give that book back! I want to draw in it!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Hanako]
Hanako: Well...if that's what you want to do, I suppose I could entertain you for a bit. It's true that I've not had a lot of time to just sit down and enjoy a book recently...so maybe this would be a good time for that.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Miyumi]
Miyumi: [excited] Ooh, can my dolls read too? [as Ms. Shortcake] I want to read a love story about a dashing prince and beautiful princess! [as Nico] We want to read too! Pleeeaseee?
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Shizuko]
Shizuko: [thoughtful] Hm...a good book would provide me with more ideas for movies I could make…[nervous] I mean, star in. Yes, that's what I meant. Sure, I suppose it's not a terrible idea. I could use some...literary inspiration.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Kaori]
Kaori: Do they have books on dogs? No? ...Then what's the point?
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Samira]
Samira: [nervous] Not to brush you off or anything, Umeko...but honestly, books kinda put me to sleep. I guess I've never really been much of a reader...blame the attention span.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Fukumi]
Fukumi: [bored] What? That sounds lame...can't we burn books instead? [excited] That sounds more exciting! Let's gather them all in a pile, soak them in kerosene and watch the flames shoot up! Book bonfire, baby! Yeaaahh!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Wakako]
Wakako: [annoyed] That sounds...really boring. Like, seriously. I'm yawning already just thinking about it. I know you can't see me yawning, but trust me. I'm yawning. I'm yawning hard, sister.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
2. Read a dirty book
[Eizo]
Eizo: [shocked] Uwah! [uncomfortable] A-Absolutely not! Umeko, I'm shocked you would even think to ask that of me! I-I mean...y-you're a girl! E-Even if you were into that sort of thing...why would you ask me to read it with you? Is it possible you…[shocked] no! I have to go, right away!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Mordecai]
Mordecai: [confused] A dirty book? Like...a book with mildew growing on it? Or just a really dusty tome? I'm confused by what you mean here, Umeko...why would you want to read a book that's very dusty?
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Ichiro]
Ichiro: [annoyed] I literally cannot think of anything in this world I would want to do less at this very moment. Goodbye.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Azuma]
Azuma: [uncomfortable] Ahem...um...p-please don't ask that of me. I...I'm surprised, Umeko. I...I didn't think you'd be the kind of person who'd ask that kind of request. Usually, I'd expect that from someone like Wakako, but...you? I guess everyone has their little surprises to them…
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Taro]
Taro: [distressed] Gah! N-N-No! I c-c-can't do that! Especially n-not with a g-g-g-girl! [shocked] N-Not that I would ever even w-w-want to do s-something like that anyway! And I m-m-most certainly have never done that before, e-ever! [distressed] Why are you l-looking at me like that? Just because I'm the SHSL B-B-Bookworm d-d-d-doesn't mean I have to have r-r-r-read every book out there! I t-t-t-totally don't know what kind of b-b-b-book you're t-t-talking about! N-Nope, definitely n-not! L-Leave me alone!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Nagatomo]
Nagatomo: Respectfully, I must decline. Flattered as I am that you seem to have taken that kind of interest in me, I am afraid that I already have my heart elsewhere. You enjoy your book alone, please.
It seems like that didn't go so well...
[Kenji]
Kenji: [shocked] Y-You...what? R-Really? Wow...y-you really are full of surprises, huh, Umeko? [playful] Hehe...um...well, i-if you really want to read one of those books with me...I'd...be more than happy to do it with you…
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Yoshihiki]
Yoshihiki: [shocked] Somebody pinch me...I must be dreaming. Did you seriously...just ask me to read a dirty book with you? Holy cow...it's not a dream! This is actually happening! I'm speechless! I…[worried] wait a second. You're not...you're not trying to prank me, are you?
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Hanako]
Hanako: [angry] Unbelievable. I can't believe you just asked me to do that with you. Who do you think I am? I'm not that kind of girl! And quite frankly, I didn't peg you for that kind of girl either, Umeko. Maybe I was wrong about you…
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Miyumi]
Miyumi: [distressed] Yaaah! [embarrassed] I-I-I-I c-c-couldn't p-p-p-p-possibly r-r-read one of th-th-those b-books with you! N-N-Not that I w-w-w-would have r-read it w-w-without you either! St-Stop it! Stop teasing me! You're making me b-b-blush!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Shizuko]
Shizuko: [snide] How uncivilized of you. I suppose it's only natural a commoner such as yourself would beg for a celebrity like me to fulfil one of your dirty fantasies this way…
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Kaori]
Kaori: No. One hundred percent, no.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Samira]
Samira: [embarrassed] Heh...why, Umeko...you surprise me. I didn't know you had an interest in books like that...I've never read a book like that before. Maybe it will be informative, who knows? Well...it was your suggestion, after all.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Fukumi]
Fukumi: [shocked] Ooh, what's that? Ohhhh…[snide] that's surprisingly naughty of you, Umeko. I never would have suspected you were such a pervert underneath! But that sounds like fun! Let's do it!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Wakako]
Wakako: Why would I read it with you when I could read with Azuma? Wait a minute…[shocked] What if those books give me tips that I could apply with Azuma? My goodness...that's a genius idea! [excited] Open that book up, girl! Quickly, quickly!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
3. Let's take a nap
[Eizo]
Eizo: [confused] In here? In this dusty library? ...W-Why…? I'm not even offended, I'm just confused…
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Mordecai]
Mordecai: [thoughtful] Why sleep among the books when you can sleep beneath the stars? Sleeping in the forest is a much better alternative than sleeping in a place meant for reading!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Ichiro]
Ichiro: [annoyed] You dragged me here...to take a nap? Does my precious free time mean nothing to you?
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Azuma]
Azuma: [confused] Oh, but...wouldn't you much rather read? That's the whole point of a library...isn't it?
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Taro]
Taro: [shocked] What? W-Why would you w-w-want to t-take a nap when...th-there are so many g-g-g-good b-books here to read? D-D-Don't you like r-reading, Umeko?
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Nagatomo]
Nagatomo: You wish to take a nap in the library? That's quite a curious decision, isn't it? Are you more at peace when surrounded by books? Or do you just prefer the quietness of a library? I admit, it is quite peaceful…
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Kenji]
Kenji: [laughing] Haha...books put you to sleep too, huh, Umeko? Don't worry! I won't tell Taro. They totally put me to sleep too!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Yoshihiki]
Yoshihiki: [shocked] Sleep? How can I waste time sleeping when there are still pranks left to be pulled? [excited] Like this one! Haha! Whipped cream in your face!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Hanako]
Hanako: [confused] A nap? In the library? Is there something wrong with your own bed? That's quite an odd decision, Umeko.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Miyumi]
Miyumi: [worried] O-Oh...is it because you're sc-scared to sleep alone? That's okay, Umeko...I get scared to sleep by myself at times too. [happy] That's why I'm grateful to have my dolls to keep me company! I'll keep you company too if you like!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Shizuko]
Shizuko: [annoyed] Why would I want to take a nap in this dusty, disgusting library?
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Kaori]
Kaori: [thoughtful] As long as Buddy gets to sleep with us, I'm fine with that.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Samira]
Samira: [confused] You want to take a nap? You know, if you were feeling sleepy, you didn't have to invite me here to hang out with you.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Fukumi]
Fukumi: [disappointed] What? But naps are boooring...books are boooring...why would you want to waste precious hours of your time doing absolutely nothing? Can't we do something fun instead?
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Wakako]
Wakako: [annoyed] Uh, I'm not your sleepover pal, Umeko. If you wanted to go to sleep, couldn't you have just taken a nap by yourself?
It seems like that didn't go so well...
Where would you like to go?
3. Forest
It looks like we're the only ones here. What should we do?
1. Take off your clothes
2. Start a campfire
3. Play in the dirt
…
…
…
1. Take off your clothes
[Eizo]
Eizo: [shocked] W-What?! Umeko, w-what are you saying? Y-You want to...you want us to...why would you...have you lost your mind? I-I'd never do that with you! I c-couldn't possibly...I mean, you have Azuma and I have...and there's...out here? In the forest? I...I suppose I'm flattered? B-But...please don't ask this of me ever again. I...I must go.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Mordecai]
Mordecai: [excited] Ah, indeed! Without the restraint of clothing, we will be better suited to the outdoors lifestyle. And being free of restrictive clothing makes the experience that much breezier! Hunting and camping will be twice as fun! Let us embrace nature as nudists, Umeko!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Ichiro]
Ichiro: [shocked] W-What the fuck? A-Are you serious? [uncomfortable] D-Don't say that! What the hell's wrong with you? I c-can't believe you just asked me to take my cl-clothes off. ...L-Look, I'm not interested in you that way. Can I go now?
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Azuma]
Azuma: [shocked] ...Oh. Oh. ...Oh. You...uh...sure move fast. I...I must admit I'm surprised. But uh...aren't there…[embarrassed] um...better places to ask this kind of request? I mean...in the middle of the forest? I...I suppose we're less likely to be interrupted, b-but...in the freezing cold? [shocked] N-Not that I would've done it if it wasn't cold! I just...I just meant...y'know what, let's just...do something else.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Taro]
Taro: [distressed] Nghhh! I c-c-can't do that! [shocked] M-Matter of f-f-fact, y-you shouldn't d-d-do that either! Boys and g-g-girls shouldn't do that unless they're r-r-ready! And wh-why here? In the f-f-forest? There are m-m-mosquitoes here!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Nagatomo]
Nagatomo: [snide] Oho! And there I was, thinking you were just a sweet, innocent girl. It seems you were more impure than I thought. Being free of clothing does help me move more silently. And I personally have never found nudity shameful or embarrassing as long as no lust is involved.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Kenji]
Kenji: [shocked] O...M...G. Did you seriously just ask to take our clothes off? [embarrassed] Umeko...I'm stunned. I...I didn't think you were that interested in me...I was convinced this wasn't a mutual attraction. Well...if you insist…
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Yoshihiki]
Yoshihiki: [shocked] Holy crap...this is just like that one dirty book I read in the library! [laughing] Haha! I guess girls can be naughtier than I realized. I never would've seen this coming from you, Umeko! Go on, then! You first! [playful] I promise I won't run off with your clothes as soon as you take them off...cross my heart!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Hanako]
Hanako: [angry] Do you want to die? [annoyed] Ahem...what I meant is...I would rather die than strip in the middle of the forest.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Miyumi]
Miyumi: [shocked] W-W-What? Not even Nico and D-D-Dr. Creeper have seen me w-w-without my clothes! [distressed] It's b-b-bad enough having to change to take b-b-baths with you and the other girls...n-now this? Umeko...don't make me…
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Shizuko]
Shizuko: [angry] Ugh, I knew it! You're just a dirty girl, aren't you? Asking me to do such an uncivilized thing in such an uncivilized place...you have no shame.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Kaori]
Kaori: [disappointed] And I thought you asked me here so we could play in the trees with Buddy...turns out you were just interested in that. No thanks.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Samira]
Samira: [worried] Uh...I don't really want to take my clothes off for no good reason. You...do have a good reason...right?
It seems like that didn't go so well...
[Fukumi]
Fukumi: [excited] That sounds really bold! I didn't think you had it in you to suggest that, Umeko! But I'm digging this new wild side of yours! Let's do it! It'll really knock the socks off the boys!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Wakako]
Wakako: [playful] Ooh, girl, I know what you're thinking. You want to make a statement, huh? Well, with my rocking hot body next to yours, we'll charm any man that glances our way for sure!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
2. Start a campfire
[Eizo]
Eizo: [distressed] It is far too dangerous to start a fire when we don't know what we're doing! W-What if we accidentally make one too big, and cause a forest fire? And this whole place burns down, and with no fire engines or extinguishers or firemen, we all end up burning to a crisp?! I'm not being a worrywart! It's a legitimate concern!
It seems like that didn't go so well...
[Mordecai]
Mordecai: [excited] Excellent idea! I love camping, and I love campfires! Shall I set up a tent too?
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Ichiro]
Ichiro: [thoughtful] There is something peaceful about being out in the middle of a forest with nothing but the sound of a crackling fire…[uncomfortable] and I am really, really cold. It would be nice to get warm.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Azuma]
Azuma: [happy] In the mood for camping, are we, Umeko? [embarrassed] It...is quite romantic here. I can help you gather firewood.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Taro]
Taro: [nervous] Fire kinda makes me nervous though…[shocked] Just thinking about how one small accident could result in one of my favorite books going up in flames...the horror! Books are so fragile, that water and fire could easily ruin them! That's why I take great care to stay as far away from fire as possible!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Nagatomo]
Nagatomo: [thoughtful] A good, strong fire carries many positive connotations. A sense of inner peace...learning to be at one with nature...and an opportunity for quiet self-reflection. Yes...I see no problem with this.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Kenji]
Kenji: [confused] You want to start a fire? Sure, I guess. I don't mind helping you as long as it's, you know, spending time with you. [playful] And we could always...cuddle together for warmth.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Yoshihiki]
Yoshihiki: [excited] Ooh, you wanna burn down the forest? Is that it, Umeko? Is that your master plan? We're gonna set the trees ablaze, hell yeah! [confused] W-Wait. We're not? Why are you shaking your head so vehemently? C'mon! A forest fire would be an excellent prank! Ichiro would lose his mind!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Hanako]
Hanako: [annoyed] Start a fire? [thoughtful] I suppose it would make sense to start a fire for warmth. And brushing up on one's survival skills is a pretty sensible course of action when in the wilderness...
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Miyumi]
Miyumi: [nervous] I'm a little nervous around fire, Umeko. I've never even handled a lighter before. [shocked] I'm worried my dolls might catch on fire, and go up in flames! I would be devastated if that happened! Ms. Shortcake's dress is cloth, and Nico's made of wood! It's too dangerous!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Shizuko]
Shizuko: [snide] What a dreadfully common task for a commoner such as yourself. Starting a fire to keep away the icy sting of poverty? Such a shame for you.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Kaori]
Kaori: [worried] You're absolutely right. Buddy might get cold out here! We must make a fire at once!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Samira]
Samira: [sad] I remember me and Katsuo crowding around a lone trashbin with a fire ablaze inside, huddling together so tightly for warmth because we were scared we'd freeze to death. And even then, even though we were suffering…[happy] I was so happy in that one moment. Just to be there, to be alive, and to be with him…
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Fukumi]
Fukumi: [excited] Fire? I love fires! Let's create a massive bonfire that'll rival all other campfires! We're gonna make the best campfire this world has ever seen! This forest will BURN! Betcha can't find more firewood than me!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Wakako]
Wakako: [uncomfortable] You want me to get all dirty and sweaty collecting firewood for your fire? Uh, what do I look like to you? A girl with too much time on her hands? No way, sister. I'm out.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
3. Play in the dirt
[Eizo]
Eizo: [accusatory] Absolutely not! Such an unsanitary activity simply will not do!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Mordecai]
Mordecai: [shocked] You wish to wrestle in nature's playground, amidst the leaves and snow and grime and mud? Why, Umeko, that…[accusatory] is a BRILLIANT idea! There is no activity more manly...and, er...womanly...than tussling in a fierce battle for dominance underneath the sky's watchful eyes, surrounded by Mother Nature and her omnipresent witnesses. En garde!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Ichiro]
Ichiro: [annoyed] Just because I like surrounding myself with plantlife does not mean I enjoy getting covered in dirt and soil for no good reason. Do I look the sort to enjoy that kind of physical exertion?
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Azuma]
Azuma: [confused] P-Play in the dirt? Um…[thoughtful] That's a bit of an unconventional suggestion, Umeko. But...even as a child, I never really got the chance to go out playing and horsing around outside. I suppose you couldn't remember doing it either, even if you had. [happy] ...I don't mind making memories like those now.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Taro]
Taro: [uncomfortable] I-I-I d-don't really l-l-like pl-playing in the d-dirt...my gl-glasses get all f-f-fogged up too easily a-and...I don't l-like getting all d-d-dirty like that. I'd m-m-much rather be back in my r-room with a g-g-good book…
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Nagatomo]
Nagatomo: [bored] Play in the dirt? ...No thanks. I'm not one for such a pointlessly childish, frivolous act of merrymaking. [snide] Perhaps...a less refined companion would be more suitable?
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Kenji]
Kenji: [playful] Getting all hot and sweaty in the ground with you, Umeko? Sounds like a delightful time to me. The only thing that'd make it more fun is if I had my board with me to show off some of my tricks.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Yoshihiki]
Yoshihiki: [excited] I love rolling around in the dirt like a kid! I didn't think you'd suggest such a thing, Umeko. You always seem so uptight and boring. But now you're speaking my language!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Hanako]
Hanako: [annoyed] ...Why on Earth would we do that?
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Miyumi]
Miyumi: [worried] U-Um...I don't want to sound r-rude, Umeko, but...my gown gets dirty easily and...I don't want to risk ripping it doing something like that…
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Shizuko]
Shizuko: [snide] Ha! Me, a famous celebrity, frolic in the dirt with a commoner like you? ...You have some nerve to even suggest such a thing to me.
[Kaori]
Kaori: [happy] Finally, a good idea. Buddy will be happy to play! He's been needing some exercise for a while now anyways. Yoohoo! Buddy, come here, boy.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Samira]
Samira: [confused] In...the dirt? Like...making a mud sculpture or something? [thoughtful] I've never tried doing anything like that. But...I suppose, an artist should always try different things. I'm open.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Fukumi]
Fukumi: [excited] Now that's more like it, Umeko! By the end of the hour, we're both going to be putrid and disgusting! But of course, I'm going to be more disgusting than youuu!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Wakako]
Wakako: [shocked] Play in the dirt? W-What do you think I am, your pet dog? [accusatory] I would only do such a thing if it was for a reality show. But if there's no reward at the end of it or goal to work towards, then...what's the point?
It seems like that didn't go so well...
Where would you like to go?
4. Bathhouse
It looks like we're the only ones here. What should we do?
1. Take a bath together
2. Enjoy the sauna
3. Doodle in the steamed mirrors
…
…
…
1. Take a bath together
[Eizo]
Eizo: [distressed] Ngh! U-Umeko, I...must respectfully decline. W-We came up with the rules for a reason! That only boys would bathe with boys and vice versa! For y-you and me to b-bathe together...we'd be breaking the rules! A-And I...um...l-look, I have to go now…
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Mordecai]
Mordecai: [excited] Excellent idea, Umeko! You can scrub my back, and I'll scrub yours. [thoughtful] There's a spot in the small of my back that I can never quite reach...
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Ichiro]
Ichiro: [uncomfortable] You want me to t-take a bath...with you? ...What on Earth makes you think I'd like that idea? I get embarrassed enough as it is taking a bath with boys...let alone a girl. Please don't ask me to do this again…
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Azuma]
Azuma: [embarrassed] O-Oh...um...are you...feeling alright, Umeko? I'd expect this kind of suggestion from Wakako, but...not you. I...uh...it's...not like I wouldn't want to, I just...I just th-think we m-might be...rushing into things a little bit...you know? Perhaps we should just...take things slow first…
It seems like that didn't go so well...
[Taro]
Taro: [embarrassed] A-A-Ahh! I...I can't d-d-do that with you! I...I'm a b-boy! A-And you're n-n-n-not! Th-That's so...unwholesome! [distressed] We'd leave that b-b-bath dirtier rather than c-c-clean!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Nagatomo]
Nagatomo: While nudity does not bother me, I must respectfully decline your advances. I have no desire to be in that intimate setting with you and I do not wish for others to get the wrong idea.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Kenji]
Kenji: [excited] Holy cow...r-really? I seriously must be dreaming...you really just asked to take a bath with me? W-Well...I mean, if you're asking...I certainly won't say no.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Yoshihiki]
Yoshihiki: [laughing] Haha! And there I was, thinking you were a sweet, prudish girl like Miyumi. Turns out you're just as perverted as some of us guys, huh, Umeko? How many others have you posed this question too? Don't worry. I won't judge!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Hanako]
Hanako: Ah, so you needed another girl to accompany you. Is that it? In that case, I suppose I will do you a favor and accompany you just this once so you will not be alone.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Miyumi]
Miyumi: [nervous] Mmph...you know I'm not comfortable being in the bathhouse with other people, Umeko...and being with just you is...also kinda awkward. C-Couldn't we just...join the other girls, so it's...y'know...less weird?
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Shizuko]
Shizuko: [accusatory] Shizuko Ikehara never bathes with another commoner! I need to properly pamper myself, and I can't have you getting your commoner germs all over me!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Kaori]
Kaori: Only if you'll help me bathe Buddy too. His coat's been getting dirtier and he needs a good scrub…
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Samira]
Samira: [playful] Need a little girl time to cool off, do you? I'd be more than happy to accompany you if you need it, Umeko.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Fukumi]
Fukumi: [excited] Ooh, sounds fun! Let's play in the bubble baths and splash around in the water and see how long we can hold our breath and do a cannonball into the bath and-
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Wakako]
Wakako: [thoughtful] I could use a nice warm bath to loosen some of the tension in my back and shoulders...a girl needs to relax every once in a while, after all.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
2. Enjoy the sauna
[Eizo]
Eizo: [distressed] I can't possibly relax now! Not when there's so much work to be done. What would the others think of their leader wasting time in the sauna instead of doing work? Oh, the horror!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Mordecai]
Mordecai: [confused] A sauna…? What even is that? A heating room of sorts, you say? Sounds intriuging. And this will supposedly help us to relax, and soothe our muscles? Well then, in that case…[accusatory] I say, bring on the relaxation!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Ichiro]
Ichiro: [annoyed] I don't really think I'd enjoy that. Not only would it mean having to be in close quarters with you in various states of undress, but I just don't like saunas in general. They're too hot, and gross.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Azuma]
Azuma: [happy] That sounds nice and relaxing. A good, long rest in the sauna will do wonders for all the stress in my shoulders…
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Taro]
Taro: [worried] I d-d-don't really l-like it in the sauna...it's t-too hot and m-muggy for my liking…
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Nagatomo]
Nagatomo: Resting in the sauna may provide medicinal benefits if the correct herbs are used, you know. Very well. I shall oblige this one time.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Kenji]
Kenji: [playful] I'd love to get into the sauna with you, Umeko. You and me in that intimate settings? It's...romantic.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Yoshihiki]
Yoshihiki: [snide] Oho...I knew it, Umeko. I knew you couldn't resist. You secretly just want to get close to me, don't you? Well...you're no Wakako, but better you than a bunch of sweaty boys! I'm game.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Hanako]
Hanako: [worried] I'm not usually fond of such things, but...I trust you're not the type to ruin what's meant to be a relaxing moment in the sauna the way Fukumi or Wakako might. And it would be nice to let my hair down and relax...for once. [thoughtful] ...Alright. You've convinced me.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Miyumi]
Miyumi: [disappointed] I don't really like saunas. They're too hot, and make me feel like I'm boiling. [as Ms. Shortcake] Plus, we hate it in there! My dress will always end up soaked through!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Shizuko]
Shizuko: While normally I wouldn't want to get undressed in the presence of a commoner...[snide] I have always enjoyed visiting my own private sauna back at my penthouse. It was always a nice place to relax away from the public eye. If you promise not to say a word while we're inside...I'd be willing to entertain your request this one time.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Kaori]
Kaori: [worried] I'm not sure how much Buddy would like the sauna, to be honest…
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Samira]
Samira: [bored] Relaxing in a sauna seems like such an unnecessarily fancy way of just...you know...taking a hot bath? Reminds me of all the obnoxiously pretentious things my family used to do to be part of the "luxurious" crowd…
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Fukumi]
Fukumi: [excited] And do what? Dunk each other in the water? Do cannonballs into the sauna? You want to...what? [confused] Just...just rest in there? But…[annoyed] that's so boring!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Wakako]
Wakako: [happy] Some quality time in the sauna is sure to do wonders in terms of pampering my skin and body. Especially with this chill...count me in!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
3. Doodle in the steamed mirrors
[Eizo]
Eizo: [thoughtful] Hmm...I suppose I could write a stern warning for the others not to run about while the floor is wet and slippery. And unlike Samira's distasteful vandalisms...they'll go away once the steam clears.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Mordecai]
Mordecai: [excited] Ooh, an excellent idea! Let us doodle ritualistic drawings dripping with such raw vitality that all those who pass them by are in awe of our soulful talent.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Ichiro]
Ichiro: [bored] That's so...childish. What's the point? I can think of loads better things I could be doing in my room instead of...whatever the hell it is you want me to do with you.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Azuma]
Azuma: [confused] Um...okay. But...what do you want us to draw? Did you have a picture in mind? [disappointed] I'm sorry, I don't really get the point of this activity.
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Taro]
Taro: [nervous] C-Can we wr-write? I'd like to s-see how much I can wr-wr-write on one m-mirror…
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Nagatomo]
Nagatomo: [bored] That seems...such a pointless endeavour. For what reason would we doodle aimlessly in the mirrors? [snide] Is this your hairclip I found, by the way? And no, I did not just steal that off you while you were talking.
It seems like that didn't go so well...
[Kenji]
Kenji: [playful] I already have a couple brilliant ideas for what to doodle. I've got some real crass vulgarities I'm itching to put out there! This is gonna be sweet.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Yoshihiki]
Yoshihiki: [playful] What a grand idea! I'm going to doodle so many dicks, you don't even know what kind of testosterone-fueled hell you've unleashed.[laughing] Oh, sorry. I already finished doodling before you finished talking. [excited] Check it out! ...What do you mean, "what's that"? Don't you know what a dick looks like? [shocked] Oh, shoot, I think Mr. Suede Shoes is coming. Quick, hide!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Hanako]
Hanako: [disappointed] ...You can't mean that, can you? Why on Earth did you think I'd want to do that?
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Miyumi]
Miyumi: [giggling] Heehee...can I draw my dolls? I'd like to dr-draw them a little dollhouse too...I imagine it'd be really pretty…
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Shizuko]
Shizuko: [snide] This is what the commoners do for fun, to unlease their artistic fuel? Doodle...in mirrors? And I thought Samira's situation was sad…
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Kaori]
Kaori: [bored] ...If you really want to, I suppose. [thoughtful] ...Can I draw a cute picture of Buddy?
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Samira]
Samira: Heh. You know that sounds like making a discount mural, right? I take all kinds of drawing like that very seriously. So excuse me while I spend the next half an hour or so drawing a masterpiece in the condensation on this mirror.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
[Fukumi]
Fukumi: [bored] That doesn't sound particularly thrilling. I think it'd be hilarious to leave some funny messages on there, sure. But where's the action? [annoyed] My heart doesn't race from standing in some steamy bathroom, doodling on a mirror!
It seems like that didn't go so well…
[Wakako]
Wakako: [bored] You know, if you really want to leave behind scandalous thoughts on other people, you can always come join me for a joint confessional. You don't have to resort to doing stuff like this so you can badmouth the others by writing nasty comments on a mirror. Wait...that's not what you were thinking? Then I don't get the reason behind this.
It seems like that didn't go so well...
[BONUS EVENT: Harmonious Heart]
As you look at the person you invited to hang out with you, out of the blue, you hear a strange voice in your head.
It's their voice! And yet, their mouth isn't moving.
Is that...their inner thoughts?

[Eizo]
1. Affirm
2. Deny
Eizo: [thoughtful] How am I supposed to treat Umeko like a friend?
Eizo: [disappointed] I've never really had a close friend like her since...well, since Hansuke…
Eizo: [distressed] This is so awkward. I'm not used to this!
Eizo: I'm supposed to be the class leader, aren't I? And leaders don't make friends with their subordinates...do they?
Eizo: [worried] Perhaps she thinks it's unprofessional for a leader to be friends with his subordinate…
Eizo: [disappointed] I should just back off...ensure she realizes I agree it's best our relationship remain...strictly formal.
…
…
…
Answer: [Deny] - [it's unprofessional]
Umeko: It's not unprofessional for a leader to have friends.
Eizo: [worried] But it is when those 'friends' are supposed to be looking up to me as a leader. If I become your friend, then...won't you lose respect for me? Getting to know someone in a friendly context makes it much more awkward to have to listen to them and follow their instructions.
Umeko: That's not true at all. If anything, I think it enhances their working relationship.
Eizo: [shocked] Really? I...hadn't thought of it that way.
Umeko: I've heard of plenty of people who were better able to work in teams with their peers and superiors because they were able to communicate well together. There's absolutely nothing wrong with us being friends, Eizo. It doesn't make me think any less of you. In fact, I think it endears you to people.
Eizo: [happy] That's a relief to hear then, Umeko. I was worried I couldn't be friends with you, or the others, but I guess I was wrong to think that. In the future, I won't hold back. [excited] I'll be as friendly with you and the others as possible!
Well, at least he's enthusiastic about it.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
Eizo: [happy] Thanks for talking with me, Umeko. Hanging out with you always helps put me at ease. You should be proud of yourself for being such a good friend!
[Mordecai]
1. Affirm
2. Deny
Mordecai: [thoughtful] Umeko...has always proven herself a strong, capable woman in all she does.
Mordecai: [thoughtful] Likewise, she is extraordinarily humble…
Mordecai: [snide] ...Just like I am!
Mordecai: [thoughtful] If I am to befriend her, then I must...live up to her expectations of me.
Mordecai: [snide] I must be as great and noble a warrior as I claim, so our bond can truly deepen! It is the only way!
…
…
…
Answer: [Deny] - [the only way]
Umeko: Mordecai, I assure you, I don't think of myself as noble or the most capable and I definitely don't put myself on a pedestal above others. You don't need to have to behave a certain way to hang out with me.
Mordecai: [shocked] And her blinding humility shines through once again! Truly, Umeko...I have much to learn from one such as yourself!
Umeko: N-No, that's not what I...I just mean, that...I see myself as...as just "me". Like I see you as you, Mordecai. I only want to be friends with my friends, and...that's it. I don't view others around me as superior or inferior because of who they are, and you shouldn't have to worry about that either if you want to spend time with me.
Mordecai: [happy] Once again, your wisdom shows. Thank you for this lesson, Umeko! You should consider writing a book, to pen down your thoughts. The world would be grateful!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
Mordecai: [excited] I look forward to seeing what nugget of wisdom you will bestow upon me next time!
[Ichiro]
1. Affirm
2. Deny
Ichiro: [annoyed] Why does she keep spending time with me?
Ichiro: [worried] Does she want something from me?
Ichiro: [disappointed] I'm not interesting enough for her to want to hang out with me so often…
Ichiro: [annoyed] She probably only does it because she feels sorry for me.
Ichiro: [disappointed] I bet she hates feeling obliged to spend time with me.
Ichiro: [sad] ...I should just make up an excuse and go.
…
…
…
Answer: [Deny] - [hates feeling obliged]
Umeko: I don't feel obliged to spend time with you, Ichiro, and I don't do it out of pity. And I certainly don't hate hanging out with you either.
Ichiro: [worried] But then...why would you keep wanting to be with me? I'm not particularly interesting...I'm not chatty or talkative...I'm not funny or handsome either. I'm just...me. Plain...and boring...and annoying...and weird. There's no reason you'd want to talk to me so often because of that.
Umeko: Don't put yourself down so much. I like spending time with you. I like your quiet personality. Matter of fact, I like you more for being different. You don't have to be loud or chatty or humorous for someone to want to hang out with you.
Ichiro: [worried] But isn't that what most people like about talking to others? I thought people like to hang out with others they find funny or interesting.
Umeko: Well, who says you can't be either of those things? You've got a real knack for sarcasm and dry wit that not everyone has. And the way you take care of your plants is fascinating.
Ichiro: I know you're just trying to cheer me up, but…[embarrassed] thanks anyway. I'm...sorry I keep doubting your intentions.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
Ichiro: [happy] I suppose I didn't totally hate hanging out with you, so...thanks again for the invite.
[Azuma]
1. Affirm
2. Deny
Azuma: [disappointed] I can't let her notice...how tired I am…
Azuma: [worried] Stressing about our situation and Monokuma...always leaves me demoralized, but…
Azuma: [worried] I know Umeko feels the same way. So...I need to stay strong…
Azuma: [worried] She looks to me for strength. If she finds out I'm not as bold as I appear...
Azuma: [worried] She'll only feel worse. Everyone else will too.
Azuma: [annoyed] So...I can't be weak. I can't be vulnerable. I need to act tough for her...for everyone…
…
…
…
Answer: [Deny] - [can't be vulnerable]
Umeko: There's nothing wrong with admitting you're scared or tired, Azuma…
Azuma: [worried] Oh...shoot. You noticed, huh? Is it that obvious?
Umeko: Written all over your face. Look...it's okay to show your vulnerable side.
Azuma: [worried] I just...I just feel that...as the SHSL Spy, I'm expected to be on top of things. A dangerous situation like the one we're in...I should be the one finding us a way out of it. But I can't help but worry all the same. How do we get out of here? Who took us? What plans does Monokuma have? There are times where I...I get so afraid, and I...I don't know what to do.
Umeko: That's how we all feel, Azuma, not just you. And if you're afraid, that's okay. It's perfectly normal. That's why we look out for each other.
I reached out for his hand comfortingly.
Umeko: I'm frightened sometimes too. But...it makes me feel better knowing that I'm not alone.
His face broke into a relieved smile.
Azuma: [nervous] I suppose I was being stupid, trying to hide it from you or bottle it up, given how perceptive you always are. You're right...next time, I'll come to you and we can be afraid together. Okay?
Umeko: Hehe...okay, Azuma.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
Azuma: [happy] Talking to you is always the highlight of my day, Umeko. I'll see you around.
[Taro]

Taro: [nervous] I really wanna ask Umeko what she thinks about my favorite book.
Taro: [worried] But is she going to like it if I geek out too much?
Taro: [worried] Sometimes I forget not everyone loves reading as much as I do…
Taro: [disappointed] And once I open my mouth and talk, I'm going to trip over my words and stutter nonstop again.
Taro: [distressed] It gets worse the more enthusiastic I am about a subject.
Taro: [disappointed] I don't want to have to put her through another stuttery conversation…
…
…
…
Answer: [Affirm] - [going to like it]
Umeko: I'd love to know more about your favorite book, Taro.
Taro: [nervous] R-R-R-R-Really? B-B-But...d-do you even like r-r-reading that much, o-or are you just e-e-entertaining me?
Umeko: It's true I'm not as avid a reader as you, but...all the more reason I want to hear you talk about it. I'd love to know about what book you like the most!
Taro: [distressed] B-B-B-But the m-m-more excited I am over a t-t-t-topic, the m-m-more I st-st-st-st-stutter! It's g-g-g-g-going to be a v-v-v-v-very p-p-p-p-painful conversation…
Umeko: That's not your fault. And even so...I care about your opinion, so I wouldn't let something like that stop me from wanting to hear you out. Besides, I like seeing you enthusiastic about your talent, and your raw passion. It's endearing!
Taro: [nervous] W-W-Well...thanks, Umeko. [happy] Y-You always kn-know how to s-s-say the right th-things to p-p-put a shy guy at ease...
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
Taro: [excited] I'll br-bring more of my b-b-books the next time we m-meet! I guarantee I'll f-f-find one you can't p-put down!
[Nagatomo]

Nagatomo: [thoughtful] The one and only constant about my morals, as a thief…
Nagatomo: [disappointed] I always return what I steal. If not immediately, eventually.
Nagatomo: [annoyed] Breaking my moral code that one time...remains my greatest regret.
Nagatomo: [thoughtful] If she ever finds out what I did…
Nagatomo: [annoyed] She would be disgusted with me…
…
…
…
Answer: [Deny] - [disgusted with me]
Umeko: I don't think you should stress so much about breaking your moral code. I mean...it was only one time, right?
Nagatomo: [annoyed] One time is plenty. I am no lowlife thief. My art requires more than a deft hand. I adhere as strictly as possible to the standard I have set myself, for a reason. If I go about stealing everything in sight for myself or for financial gain, then I am no different from a common thief on the streets. I steal to send a message. That's all.
Umeko: Well...for you to have broken your moral code this one time, despite your evident internal struggle...you must not have had a lot of choice in the matter, right?
Nagatomo: … [disappointed] I did not.
He probably doesn't want to talk too much about it.
Umeko: So...don't treat yourself too harshly over it. You didn't have another option. I know it must be hard but...you need to learn to forgive yourself.
His eyes met mine, sparkling with curiosity.
Nagatomo: You really think that?
Umeko: Yeah. I do.
Nagatomo: [snide] Hmph. How very interesting.
What's that supposed to mean?
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
Nagatomo: Thank you for spending the day with me. I look forward to the next time.

Kenji: [annoyed] What's she playing at, asking to hang out all the time?
Kenji: [thoughtful] I wanted for her to feel closer to me...it's true.
Kenji: [annoyed] But what's the point? I'm sure she only sees me as a dumb skateboarder…
Kenji: [disappointed] That's how they all do…
Kenji: [snide] No one ever sees me any differently. No one...bothers actually trying to know who I am…
Kenji: [disappointed] ...It's always so difficult to truly connect with people when this is all they see…
…
…
…
Answer: [Deny] - [dumb skateboarder]
Umeko: I don't think you're just a dumb skateboarder, Kenji.
Kenji: [shocked] You...don't?
Umeko: Everyone has other sides to them. It'd be silly to perceive everyone to always be one character. I want to be your friend because I want to know you for who you are, not for who others see you as. And the more we talk, the more we can learn that about one another. If you ask me...that's a better way of getting close to someone than with dumb pickup lines.
Kenji: [playful] ...Heh. You really are always full of surprises, huh, Umeko?
Umeko: I'd really like to get to know you better for who you are, rather than for your talent or as an archetype.
Kenji: [disappointed] I'm not sure if you'd still like me if you knew me at my core.
Umeko: Well...how will I ever know if you don't let me in?
Kenji's eyes twinkled.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
Kenji: [playful] Wise words. ...You never cease to amaze me, Umeko.
[Yoshihiki]

Yoshihiki: [thoughtful] That look on Umeko's face...it must be trepidation.
Yoshihiki: [snide] She's probably terrified I'm going to play a prank on her or something.
Yoshihiki: [thoughtful] Although...if she is, I can't really blame her for that.
Yoshihiki: [thoughtful] I do have a pretty bad reputation.
Yoshihiki: [snide] But that's how it goes. People either hate my guts, or they're wary of me...like I'm a skunk liable to gas them at any moment…
Yoshihiki: [annoyed] I should just prank her really quick, and then go. Not like she's here to actually get to know me or anything…
…
…
…
Answer: [Affirm] - [get to know]
Umeko: But...I would like to get to know you, Yoshihiki.
Yoshihiki: [snide] Get out of town.
Umeko: No, I'm serious.
Yoshihiki: And I'm dead serious too. Seriously, get out of town. This is a threat. Pack your bags and leave. Or I'll shoot you.
Umeko: Oh, ha ha. But no...I mean it. I believe there's more to you than just pranks, pranks and more pranks. And you don't have to be afraid to talk about whatever it is that's making you feel like...you can never amount to anything more than that.
Yoshihiki: [snide] Hmph. And to think I mistook you for a no-nonsense type. Turns out you know how to prank people just as well, Umeko.
Umeko: What? No, Yoshihiki, I'm not trying to prank you! I'm being serious here, I-
I saw the devilish glint in his eyes and my words died in my throat.
Umeko: ...Aaand you're pranking me with all this, aren't you?
Yoshihiki: [playful] I know you mean well, Umeko. You're too much of a goody-two-shoes to mean anything more than what you say!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
Yoshihiki: [laughing] Next time though...the prank war begins! You better be prepared for anything and everything, Umeko. You have no idea who you're going up against!
[Hanako]
1. Affirm
2. Deny
Hanako: [thoughtful] Sometimes...I wonder if Umeko thinks I'm too aloof for my own good…
Hanako: I'm so used to playing the leadership role, that I...forget I'm first and foremost a teenage girl like she is…
Hanako: [thoughtful] I probably come off as cold and unfriendly at first glance…
Hanako: [disappointed] I don't have a warm or welcoming aura about me...I'm too high-strung.
Hanako: [annoyed] That's why even my own bandmates grew to resent me...I'm sure eventually, Umeko will too…
…
…
…
Answer: [Deny] - [Umeko will too]
Umeko: I wouldn't hate you even if you were always this quiet and aloof, Hanako.
Hanako: [confused] Hm? You don't have to flatter me, Umeko. I am aware of how people perceive me.
Umeko: Even so, that's part of who you are, right? It's what makes you such a good leader.
Hanako: Be that as it may, I have very few real friends because of it. I know I can seem standoffish and downright rude at times.
Umeko: But I don't believe you are. That's just the way you express yourself, isn't it?
Hanako: [worried] ...I guess it is.
Umeko: And the fact that you're worried about this shows that you do care what people think of you, on some level. That doesn't seem like someone who doesn't care about the people around them. You do care, and you are a good leader, Hanako. I enjoy spending time with you even if you don't make conversation a lot.
Hanako: [happy] Wow. Heh, okay, Umeko. ...Thanks.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
Hanako: Thanks for spending time with me, I had a really good time. If you're not against it, I'd love to do this again.
[Miyumi]

Miyumi: [excited] I really want to make a doll for Umeko too!
Miyumi: [thoughtful] That way, we can both have dolls to play with, together.
Miyumi: [nervous] We could...have tea time together, with Ms. Shortcake and Nico and…
Miyumi: [disappointed] ...Oh, who am I kidding? That sounds so childish.
Miyumi: [disappointed] And Umeko's too mature for that. She'd never agree to that…
Miyumi: [worried] I should just...forget about it…
…
…
…
Answer: [Deny] - [Umeko's too mature]
Umeko: I'm flattered that you might think I'm the mature and responsible type, but...I'm not too old that I've lost my sense of wonder and imagination.
Miyumi: [worried] You don't think playing with dolls is childish?
Umeko: It is a little...silly, I suppose. But if it means spending time with a friend, and doing something they really enjoy, I don't see anything wrong with it. We're not hurting anyone by playing with dolls. And I'd be really touched if you made one for me, Miyumi. I know how much they mean to you.
Miyumi: [happy] Really? Aw...thanks, Umeko. That's really sweet of you to think so. [excited] Ooh! What kind of doll would you like me to make for you? Do you want one of a boy or a girl? A stuffed animal, perhaps?
Umeko: As long as my doll is friends with yours, I'm fine with whatever you make.
Miyumi: [excited] Nico's always wanted another little brother!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
Miyumi: [happy] Hehe...I'm glad I could spend time with you like this, Umeko. This was nice…

Shizuko: [annoyed] ...What does she want from me? Schmoozing up to a celebrity like this...she must have an ulterior motive.
Shizuko: [annoyed] I can't trust her. With my reputation...there's all sorts of dirty tricks people would get up to to get some dirt on me. I need to be careful...
Shizuko: [worried] Maybe she's just sucking up so she can get a cut of the privileges that comes with the celebrity lifestyle.
Shizuko: [annoyed] It's all political with people nowadays. People always want something, be it fame or fortune or something else…
Shizuko: [worried] Everyone loves a celebrity but no one truly likes them…
…
…
…
Answer: [Deny] - [no one truly likes them]
Umeko: I like you well enough, Shizuko. I don't want anything out of you other than your friendship.
Shizuko: [annoyed] ...You don't have to butter me up, Umeko. No one gets close to a celebrity just to be "friends". And even then...what, do you want me to get you a role in my next film or something?
Umeko: It's not that! I don't care about that kind of stuff. Does it look like I'm the kind of girl who's interested in being on the big screen?
Shizuko: [thoughtful] ...True, I suppose. Then what is it you want?
Umeko: I...just want to hang out with you. To get to know you as you, you know. Shizuko, my classmate? Not Shizuko, the famous actress.
Shizuko: [shocked] Truly?
Umeko: Well...yeah.
Shizuko: [worried] ...Huh. You're a weird one, Umeko. I can't tell if you're being genuine or not but…[happy] at least you're not a rabid fan or a troll or hater. I guess I can tolerate your presence for the time being.
...Awesome?
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
Shizuko: [shocked] I can't believe I didn't hate spending time with a commoner. What has become of me? [playful] ...Don't take offense to that, would ya?
[Kaori]
1. Affirm
2. Deny
Kaori: [sad] I wish Umeko didn't ask to hang out all the time...I feel bad because she's clearly making an effort, but…
Kaori: [sad] I'd really...much rather just...be with Buddy. Dogs are...a lot less exhausting than people.
Kaori: [disappointed] But she always looks so disappointed when I express more interest in Buddy than talking to her.
Kaori: [sad] I don't want to be mean, but...what else can I do? See, if she were a dog...a simple treat and a belly rub would solve all this…
Kaori: [disappointed] People and their emotions are so complicated...why can't people be as easy to handle as dogs are?
…
…
…
Answer: [Deny] - [she always looks so disappointed]
Umeko: I don't mind hearing you talk or gush about dogs if you want to, Kaori. After all, dogs are what you love the most, right? It's endearing to hear you so enthusiastic about what you love and are passionate about.
Kaori: [confused] You don't think it's grating that it's all I talk about?
Umeko: Well...I mean, yeah, maybe sometimes I wish we could talk about other stuff, but...if it's what you really enjoy talking about, then that's fine too, you know? I'm happy to just see that you're happy and enjoying yourself. We don't need to force ourselves into talking about other stuff you might be disinterested in, just for the sake of having a different topic of conversation.
Kaori: [playful] So you wouldn't hate it if I just spent the next hour rattling off random bits of canine-related trivia?
Umeko: We can make it a contest. I'll see how much of it I can remember.
Kaori: Deal.
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
Kaori: [shocked] That was actually really enjoyable. I didn't even need Buddy around to have a good time. [happy] ...Thanks, Umeko. I uh...I'll try and talk about other stuff next time, okay?
[Samira]
1. Affirm
2. Deny
Samira: [thoughtful] I'm surprised Umeko always wants to hang out.
Samira: [playful] She seems like such a goody-two-shoes all the time…
Samira: [excited] Yet she hangs out with a rebel like me.
Samira: [excited] Maybe she's trying to tap into her wild side?
Samira: [thoughtful] I wonder if she'd want to try tagging one of the places in the Village with me…
…
…
…
Answer: [Affirm] - [want to try tagging]
Umeko: Does tagging a place mean…?
Samira: [excited] It's like when a street artist tags a public building or location with their artwork! Like writing my name or sign in graffiti on a wall where people can see. [disappointed] Most people don't know how to truly appreciate it though.
Umeko: How so?
Samira: [excited] Graffiti artists like myself, we see it as a form artistic self-expression. My b...I mean, my friend Katsuo and I...we used to do it all the time. Travel the city, tagging different places...alleyways, tunnels and sewers, the walls behind bars and restaurants…
Umeko: ...But?
Samira: [annoyed] But the general public doesn't always understand...art. They see it as...well, as Eizo would call it...petty vandalism. Tagging and graffiti art in general are usually maligned and misunderstood. I wouldn't expect someone like Eizo to understand how important expressing myself artistically is to me. He's all about rules and regulations, and I'm not. I could never live like that...like a prisoner.
She regards me curiously.
Samira: [playful] You mean it, though? Would you...really be interested to try?
Umeko: Of course! It sounds fun, and I can tell this subject means a lot to you.
Samira: [excited] You won't regret it. It's a lot of fun! You can draw whatever you want. I'll take you somewhere!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
Samira: [playful] I'm glad you know how to let loose and have fun, Umeko. Freedom over dumb rules anyday, right? Catch ya later.
[Fukumi]
1. Affirm
2. Deny
Fukumi: [annoyed] Man, talking is so BORING.
Fukumi: [excited] I want to go do something fun, like dive off the roof into a pile of snow!
Fukumi: [disappointed] But Umeko wouldn't want to do that. She'd just say it's dangerous.
Fukumi: [worried] Maybe I am wrong for trying to drag my friends into all these dangerous stunts?
Fukumi: [thoughtful] I know not everyone is suited for these kinds of activities, but...
Fukumi: [worried] I only want them to experience the same fun that I'm having. Is that so bad?
…
…
…
Answer: [Deny] - [Is that so bad]
Umeko: It's not bad for you to want to share something you like with your friends. I'm actually a little touched by your reasoning behind it.
Fukumi: [excited] So you'll jump off the roof with me?
Umeko: Ehe...it's just that...er...not everyone enjoys that kind of dangerous stuff.
Fukumi: [disappointed] Oh…
Umeko: But there are ways for you to have fun with everyone else too! We could have a snowball fight. Or we could play some games in the Rec Room. Those activities are still fun, right?
Fukumi: [playful] Heehee. Only if they're intense and competitive!
Umeko: I hope you're not too disappointed that not everyone shares the same love for thrills and danger that you do, Fukumi.
Fukumi: No, it's fine. I know not everyone likes that stuff. [excited] But I think a snowball fight is a good compromise. It still gets my blood pumping, and who ever gets hurt from being pelted with snow anyway? It's so SOFT!
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
Fukumi: [excited] Thanks for still trying to have fun with me, Umeko. Usually talking bores me, because it's not that exciting, but playing games with you is always a treat!
[Wakako]
1. Affirm
2. Deny
Wakako: [shocked] What does she think of me, I wonder…?
Wakako: [thoughtful] What I wouldn't give to watch her spill the tea in a confessional...she always seems so secretive, and yet, an open book at the same time...
Wakako: [snide] I'd love to hear her scandalous takes on everyone else…
Wakako: [shocked] But what if it turns out she actually hates me? And I hear about it?
Wakako: [disappointed] W-Well...that wouldn't totally surprise me. My behavior usually turns most people away, especially other girls…
…
…
…
Answer: [Deny] - [hates me]
Umeko: I don't hate you, Wakako!
Wakako: [worried] But surely you intensely dislike me?
Umeko: Not at all.
Wakako: [disappointed] Look, you don't have to lie, Umeko. I get it. I'm always used to hitting on the men and showing off for the cameras, I don't really make myself popular with...ordinary people. No offense, by the way…
Umeko: Um...none taken. But I don't think of you that way. Yeah, you might be a little troublesome at times, but so can plenty of the others.
Wakako: [confused] You don't think I'm a threat to you and Azuma's relationship?
Umeko: W-What relationship?
Wakako: [playful] I'm just teasing you. [confused] It's just, most girls don't appreciate the way I act around other guys. I've been called...well, lots of things, in the past.
Umeko: I would never call you anything like that. You don't need to continue.
Wakako: [happy] Well...thanks, Umeko. That's awful sweet of you. [playful] And I'll try and tone down the infatuation-bit a little too. I know some of you find it irritating.
I guess Wakako can never fully turn off her reality-show persona…
Good, it seems like we both had a lot of fun.
Wakako: [playful] You're too nice for your own good sometimes, Umeko. I'm dying to hear you roast some of the others on camera, buuut...I won't force you to do it. See you around!
