Hero: A RWBY AU Story

Chapter 13

MORNING - RWBY DORM ROOM

Loud yawning is heard throughout the dorm room of Team RWBY. The yawning was so loud, it causes a sleeping Yang to instantly wake up and look around. She expects to see Ruby waking up and having made the yawn. But she notices that Ruby isn't there. Yang the hears the bathroom door open, and a wide-eyed Ruby peaks out. A confused Yang then turns to see Weiss stretching. Weiss. The one who made that loud yawn.

"Damn." Yang said. "And I thought Ruby was the loud one."

Weiss looks at Yang with confusion before standing up from her bed. "You've seen a very rare case, Yang. I can assure you, that you won't experience that again."

"Was pretty scary." Ruby said. "You might've scared Blake away."

Yang then shifts her head to notice that Blake, who she thought was sleeping, is not even in her bed. "Huh. Blake must've woken up early. Oh well. Guess we'll meet her later for breakfast."

"Which is currently happening right now." Weiss said. "You two take your showers and I'll go last. It is officially our first day of classes for the Spring semester. And we need to show to professor Goodwitch that we're ready."

"Don't worry, Weiss." Ruby said, struggling to reach the shampoo that she forgot to get, only to fail. She chuckles nervously. "Can someone get that for me?"

Weiss sighs and walks to pick up the shampoo bottle. When she does, she doesn't look towards Ruby as she hands it to her.

"Thank you." Ruby said, before closing the door.

Weiss goes to her drawer and takes out her school uniform as Yang gets out of her bed to do the same. The 2 of them are silent for a few seconds before one of them speaks.

"Yang." Weiss said. "You okay?"

Yang looks confused. "Uh...yeah. Of course. Why do you ask?"

Weiss looks at her friend with worry. "It's just...you do realize that the your final class is with Ozpin. Right?"

Yang's lowers her head, staring at the floor. "Right. My 1st day of therapy. Oh boy."

"It'll be fine." Weiss said. "Ozpin's probably going to ask you a few basic questions about your health. How you've been. Pretty much like that."

Yang lifts her head. "And what if he wants me to talk about..." She grabs her shaking hand. "...that day in Patch?"

"Simple: You just say that you'd talk about it, when you think the time is right. Ozpin will surely understand your decision."

Yang nods her head. "Right. I can do that. Thanks Weiss."

Weiss slightly smiles. "I do my best."

JNPR DORM ROOM

In the dorm room of Team JNPR, Jaune sits in he bed, thinking about the night before. When he saw Ruby out in the night. Deleting the video of Jupiter. And crying on the floor.

"Juane?"

Jaune flinches when he hears someone say his name. He turns to see Nora looking at him. "You all good, man?"

Jaune nods. "Yeah. I'm good. Guess I'm...guess I'm just nervous. First day back in classes, maybe. What about you guys. You nervous?"

"Absolutely not." Nora said. "I am so ready to get back into combat class. Boy, I am very rusty, that I need to break something."

"Is breaking something that necessary?" Juane asked. He turns to look at Ren, who is putting on his uniform. "Ren?"

"Well...it's kinda your fault." He answered.

"My fault!" Jaune exclaims. "How is it-oh!"

"Mm-hmm!" Nora said. "You took my hammer away. Your lucky I didn't recover it, during our break Jaune. And now that we're back in Beacon...you'll be lucky not to spar with me."

Jaune looks at Nora's evil-like smile with fear as the door to their bathroom. Pyrrha exits the place, combing her hair.

"Please don't traumatize our leader on the 1st day back in Beacon." She said. "You can do that next week."

"That really doesn't help, Pyrrha." Jaune said.

Pyrrha chuckles and puts the comb away before grabbing her circlet. "Next time...don't break Nora's #1 rule." Puts on circlet. "Never take away her hammer."

Jaune sighs before he picks up his towel and shampoo before going into the bathroom.

1 HOUR LATER - HALLWAY

Ruby yawns and stretches her arms as she, Weiss and Yang walk down a hallway towards the cafeteria.

"I can't wait to eat." Ruby said. "I am starving!"

"Relax, Ruby." Yang said. "In about 5 minutes, we'll be eating like queens in no time."

"You two will be." Weiss said. "While you indulge in a mountain of sugar, I'll be eating just right."

"Man, you like to dull our excitement." Yang said. "Don't you?"

"I do my best." Weiss said.

As the three of them reach the doors to the cafeteria, they hear the sounds of crashing being heard.

"Oh come on." Ruby said, whining. "It's too early for this."

Weiss goes to the window and proceeds to look through it. She looks surprised as to what is happening.

Inside the cafeteria, the 3 members of Team CRDL are lying on the floor, groaning in pain. Nearby them, the rabbit Faunus, Velvet pants heavily while a shocked Cardin Winchester takes at his defeated teammates. He growls as Velvet lowers her head and grabs a nearby tray. Just as Cardin is about to charge, Velvet suddenly throws the tray at his head. While he's distracted, Velvet takes the oppurtunity to throw several punches to Cardin's face, shoulders, gut and chest while avoiding his attack. Velvet then proceeds to give one last kick, sending Cardin back and crashing at the cafeteria doors, opening them and he falls to the floor. Yang looks very surprised at seeing him on the ground.

"Whoa." Yang said. "Cardin must've been bullying Velvet again. Coco really went at him."

"How do you know?" Ruby asked.

"She's basically the only one, other than us, that would stand up against him."

"Wrong." Weiss said. "That wasn't Coco."

Ruby and Yang look confused. They then look inside the cafeteria, where everything in there is a mess.

"Whoa." Yang said.

Several students who were inside were standing near the walls, with surprised looks on their faces. A couple of students had their Scrolls out. Velvet clutches her arm and heavily breathing.

"Velvet?" Ruby said, surprised.

Weiss looks around and notices that the rest of Team CFVY were not present. That's when she turns her head and sees Coco, along with Fox Alistair and Yatsuhasi Daichi, running towards the cafeteria.

"Velvet!"

Ruby and Yang both see Velvet fall to her knees as Weiss runs to her, helping her up. Coco goes wide-eyed upon seeing what had transpired and runs to her teammate.

"You need to go to the infirmary." Weiss said.

"I realize that." Velvet said. She turns to see Coco stopping in front of her. "Oh, great."

"What happened?" She asked.

"Cardin...well, you know him."

"No. I get that. But...why?"

"...I hate bullies." Velvet answered.

Coco then proceeds to take over holding Velvet. "Come on. You can tell me, on the way to the infirmary."

Ruby watches as Coco and Velvet exit the cafeteria. As they do, she overhears Coco.

"Proud of you."

Cardin then begins to slowly sit up, as the sounds of loud footsteps begins to be heard. Ruby and Yang go eyes-wide as they see Goodwitch, anger shown on her face, approaching the entrance.

"Mister Winchester!" She exclaims.

Cardin groans as he finally stands up.

"I just received numerous reports of you verbally harassing a fellow student, as well as attempting to start a fight...on the first day of the semester! You and your team! Headmaster's office! Now!"

Cardin growls as he watches his team get up and they slowly head to Ozpin's office. Goodwitch pinches the bridge of her nose, before looking at the damage, sighing. "Children. Stand back."

Yang then turns to notice Blake, who was walking with Sun, emerging from a hallway. The two of them watch as Goodwitch is slowly using her weapon to repair the damage.

"What happened?" Blake asked.

"Something unexpected." Yang answered. "Get this: Velvet...vs CRDL! Who stood victorious?"

Blake raises her eyebrows. "You're kidding."

Yang nods.

"Oh, damn." Sun said. "Shy and kind Velvet...wow. That's hot."

Blake squints her eyes in anger, causing Sun to chuckle nervously.

"Alright, children!"

Everyone looks at Goodwitch.

"I do apologize for the inconvenience. Rest assured, the situation has been taken cared of. The kitchen staff will be bringing out more food in a few minutes and all today's classes will be delayed for another hour, in order for everyone to build up their strength for their first day back. That is all."

Goodwitch proceeds to walk away just as JNPR arrives to see the angry teacher walking past them.

"Um...what just happened?" Jaune asked.

QROW'S ROOM

Qrow is sitting in his room, drinking out of his flask as he watches footage from his Scroll. The footage looks like it's hidden. But Emerald, Mercury and Cinder are seen.

"We'll be arriving in Vacuo within the next few hours." Cinder said. "Once we arrive, we will need to find a place to stay. I know a couple people in the Kingdom who can help us out. The two of you will be speaking with them. If they refuse...use your own methods to persuade them. Roman and I will be meeting with the Headmaster of Shade and gain information about the Relic there."

"You're going to be going speaking to the Headmaster...at Shade Academy." Mercury said, suspicious.

"Of course not." Cinder answered. "We'll be approaching him in a more...discreet matter. Mercury. Come with me. I need to speak with you in private."

Mercury shrugs and proceeds to follow Cinder out of the room, allowing Emerald to be alone. Emerald waits a minute before turning her head towards the screen.

"3 Months." She said. "That's all the time you have before she comes back. Cryptic messages only."

The video ends, allowing Qrow to place his Scroll down. He sighs before taking another swig. He then takes his Scroll again and proceeds to make a call.

"Yep. You were right. The girl said three months. Best we be prepared."

INFIRMARY

Velvet sits on her hospital bed, as stitches are sewn to seal a cut on her face. The nurse doing so, hums slowly as she does this. Nearby, the rest of Team CVFY is sitting nearby.

"I gotta say." The Nurse said. "Wasn't really expecting anyone to visit this place on the 1st day back in Beacon." She sighs. "I like the quiet." Finishes with the stitches. Okay. Done. "Now then. Your Aura should be able to heal you within the hour. In the meantime, I would suggest you stay here until then."

Velvet sighs and nods as the nurse turns and walks to the exit. As she slowly lays down on her bed, she notices something outside a nearby window.

A man...with platinum blonde hair.

Before Velvet could say something, the door opens again. She turns and her eyebrows raise. She sees Yang, who is pushing a cart. The cart has plates of food, freshly cooked.

"Sup, guys?" Yang said. "Though you could use some breakfast before classes begin."

"Awesome." Coco said, standing up and grabbing a plate. Yatsu and Fox do the same.

Yang then sees Velvet trying to get up. "Uh-uh-uh! You stay in bed."

She would then proceed to grab the last plate and walks to Velvet, who happily takes it.

"Thank you." Velvet said. "But you didn't have to."

"Of course not." Yang said. "But CRDL...to try to fight you during breakfast...and on the 1st day back...I'd say they deserve whatever punishment they get." Sits on an open space on Velvet's bed as the latter eats. Velvet notices that Yang is smiling at her.

"Umm...this is getting a little creepy." She said.

Yang, realizing what she was doing, looks away. "Sorry. I'll...I'll go."

Yang stands up and proceeds to head to the door.

"Yang."

Yang stops just as she exits and turns around to the smiling Velvet.

"Thank you." The rabbit Faunus said. "This was very sweet of you."

Yang smiles back. "Your welcome."

Coco, seeing what's going on, squints her eyes at Yang, who leaves without noticing.

HALLWAY

Yang walks down the hallway at Beacon, whistling and having her arms on the back of her head. As she walks, she then slowly begins to feel like someone is watching her. Yang quickly turns around and notices that the hallway is empty. Confused, she looks around to see that there's nobody else.

"Hello?"

Yang's echo run through the hallway, with nobody responds. Feeling alert, she starts running. As she runs, she notices that through every hallway and every room, there's no one here. She then stops, starting to feel a bit scared.

"HELLO?"

Again. Nobody responds. Yang starts to shake.

"This can't be happening."

"Actually...it is."

Yang's eyes go wide upon hearing the reply. Slowly, she turns around. And she sees a man. The same platinum-blonde hair that Velvet saw earlier, stands across from her.

"Who...who are you?" Yang asked.

"Apologizes, Miss Xiao Long." The man said. "But this was the only way I can speak to you. Without the need of anyone eavesdropping on us."

Yang looks around before looking back at the man. "You...you did this? Made everyone dissapear?"

"...I'm afraid not." The man said. "What you're looking at...is what's yet to happen."

Yang is confused. "Huh?"

"Every single person...in all the Kingdoms, villages, and islands around the world...they will soon all vanish. This...crisis comes in 2 waves. The 1st waves takes away everyone. They just...vanish. And the final wave...destroys everything.

"How? How does everyone suddenly vanish? And would do you mean...soon? Am I...am I in the future or something?"

"...Just a glimpse. And spoiler alert...you are the last survivor before you too will vanish."

Yang suddenly hears a noise and quickly turns around. Her eyes go wide in shock as she sees, in the view of Vale, a massive purple wave engulf the Kingdom.

"It appears the final wave is approaching." The man said. "And once that one passes...no more Remnant...or anything."

"Why are you showing me this?" Yang exclaims to the man. "Did you cause this?"

"No." The man said, immediately answering. "But I'm only here to warn you...and your Headmaster...and everyone else. This crisis is coming...and it will consume every one of you."

Yang watches as the wave gets closer and closer.

"Let Ozpin know with what you saw." The man said, as he suddenly starts to vanish. "He'll know what to do."

Yang watches as the man vanishes before her eyes. She then falls to her knees, trying to understand what's happening.

"Yang?"

"Tell him...the crisis is coming."

Yang lifts up her head to watch the wave consume the courtyard.

"Yang?"

The wave draws closer and closer and a single tear falls down Yang's face. That's when her face begins to vanish.

"Yang!"

INFIRMARY

Yang gasps her she opens her eyes. Breathing heavily, she puts her arm in the front of her face, in order to avoid the light above her.

"Yang."

Yang moves her arm to see a worried Ruby. Next to her, Weiss and Blake are there to. Yang groans.

"Where am I?"

"In the infirmary." Weiss said. "Coco found you passed outside and brought you here."

"Yatsuhashi and Fox went to the mess hall to tell us what happened." Blake said. "We left and got here as soon as possible."

"What happened, Yang?" Ruby said. "Did it have to do with...you know..."

Yang turns her head to look at her metal arm. "No. I don't know what happened. One minute, I was visiting Team CFVY. The next one...I woke up here."

"You're certain you don't remember anything esle?" Ruby asked.

Yang answers with a nod. "That's all I got."

She would then proceed to slowly sit ont he side of the bed she's on.

"Take it easy." Blake said.

"Relax." Yang said as she starts to stand up. "I can stand."

Ruby still helps Yang as the latter stands up.

"I'm fine." Yang said. "Really. I am. I just...I gotta go."

Yang then suddenly runs out of the infirmary, leaving her team behind as they worry.

"Should we follow her?" Blake asks.

"Of course we should!" Weiss exclaims. "But it should only be one of us. She'll know something's up, if all of us are following her."

"I'll go, then." Ruby said. "She is my sister. And I can get to rooftops without her seeing me. You and Blake head to combat class and inform Miss Goodwitch what's happening."

"You sure, Goodwitch will be in there?" Blake asked.

"Yes." Ruby answered. "She'll be in there to evaluate our fighting performances from today. Now go!"

Ruby then turns into rose petals and flies outta there, while Weiss and Blake exit and go the opposite direction.

OZPIN'S OFFICE

Inside his office, looking at his Scroll, Ozpin goes through all the videos and files he's obtained from Emerald so far.

"Oh come on, Oz."

Ozpin turns and looks at Qrow.

"How many times must you look over everything?" He asks. "Sustrai's probably got more to give us later on."

"I know, Qrow." Ozpin said. "But it's important not to miss any small details."

"Whatever." Qrow said, drinking from his flask.

The sound of the elevator coming up is heard.

"It appears Glynda is already arriving, earlier than expected." Ozpin said. "Good. I will need to speak with her.

His Scroll then goes off from a call. Ozpin notices that it's Goodwitch's picture on the screen.

"Hmm...who is coming up?"

After a few seconds of waiting, the elevator stops. Both Qrow and Ozpin watch as the door opens, and Yang exits it.

"Miss Xiao Long!" Ozpin said, surprised. "Qrow told me you were in the infirmary. When did you wake up?"

"Just now." Yang asnwered.

"Are you okay, Yang?" Qrow asked.

"I'm fine, Qrow. I need to speak with Ozpin. Alone."

"Why?"

"Because it's important!" Yang exclaims. She walks to Ozpin's desk. She then whispers. "Please. I have to talk to you."

Ozpin stares at Yang for a few seconds before speaking. "Leave us."

Qrow qrunts and proceeds to head to the elevator. Yang waits until Qrow enters the elevator and it's doors close and descends.

"Okay, then." Ozpin said. "Explain to me, what was so important?"

Yang, though trying to give an answer, is becoming nervous. She starts starting at the floor.

Ozpin notices. "Are you alright, Miss Xiao Long?"

"Huh?" Yang said, looking back up. "Oh. Um...sorry. I just...I saw something. I saw something horrible...something's that's going to happen soon."

Ozpin looks confused.

"...A crisis."

Ozpin's eyes go wide Yang proceeds to sit down.

"After I was done visiting Team CFVY...I um...I had a vision."

"...A vision. How did this...vision start?"

Yang's leg starts shaking.

"...Beacon. The hallways were empty. There...there's silence. Nobody. I literally ran everywhere in campus...but nobody was there. And...this man...this wizard-like man...he appeared and spoke to me."

"He spoke to you?" Ozpin asked, surprised.

"Yeah." Yang answered. "He said that...something was coming. This...crisis. And...I then saw..."

Ozpin notices that Yang is starting to shake.

"...I saw Vale...being engulfed...by this...this purple wave of energy."

Ozpin squeezes the top of his cane tightly.

"The man told me...that the crisis will happen in 2 waves. 1 to take everyone away...and the other...to destroy our world. And...that's it. Next thing I know...I woke up in the infirmary."

Tears begin falling down her face.

"Tell me it wasn't real, Ozpin. Please tell me that was a nightmare."

Ozpin silently stares at Yang for a few seconds before noticing a clock on his wall. "It appears our 1st therapy session has begun now."

Yang begins to look confused. She looks at the clock and is shocked to notice something. "No. No. It was morning, when I visited the infirmary. Are you telling me-"

"That it's late afternoon? Yes, Miss Xiao Long."

Yang suddenly stands up and starts walking around Ozpin's office.

"I understand that you are having a tough time going through this, Miss Xiao Long." Ozpin said. "But please...if maybe-"

"What is happening to me?" Yang exclaims, shaking. "Why me?"

Ozpin stands up and walks to Yang. "I do not know. But what I can tell you...that the man you met in your vision...he's real."

Yang's eyes go wide.

"And what he showed you, Miss Xiao Long...it's something he often does to others."

"Others?"

"I'm afraid so." Ozpin said, walking to a window. "He's known to enter one's consciousness and produce himself as some sort of...clairvoyant. He wants you to believe that you're seeing the future. And then produce a random event that would be you believe will happen?"

"...So...this guy...he's just...messing with me?"

Ozpin sighs before answering. "He can be a very tricky person to find. I myself have been trying to track him for years. But he always seems to slip away every time. And now it looks like he's back, causing some mayhem." He turns to Yang. "I sincerely apologize, Miss Xiao Long. He often attacks those who have recently acquired trauma. And given what you had experienced in Patch, there's no doubt you would be his next target."

Ozpin then walks back to Yang and looks at her. "How do you feel now?"

"...I feel...I feel relieved." Yang answered. "Knowing that what he showed me was all lies. He was trying to mess with my head." She chuckles lightly. "It was fake." Her smile fades into anger. "If I ever see that guy...I'm going to kick his ass."

"Language, Miss Xiao Long." Ozpin said. He then smiles. "Now then...given what you went through today, I'll let you be on your way. I'm sure your team will inform you of what was said during the classes you've missed."

"But...what about our session?"

"I believe today was a successful one. Enough to prompt a second one tomorrow, same time."

Yang crosses her arms. "I guess. I do need to speak about what happened at Patch." She then nods. "Okay. Good talk...I guess...wait. Was what I told you, that counted as the session. I'm confused."

Ozpin just smiles. "I will see you tomorrow for our next session. You stay safe, Miss Xiao Long."

Yang, though confused, proceeds to head to the elevator. Ozpin watches as Yang enters and the door closes. His expression then quickly changes to anger. He then takes out his Scroll.

"Why are you here?"

COURTYARD

The elevator descends down as Yang stares at the floor, thinking about about happened and thinking about her talk with Ozpin.

Ring

Yang the takes out her Scroll and reads the message that she's got from Ruby.

Where are you? Are you okay?

Yang sighs and proceeds to reply.

I'm fine. Just got done talking to Ozpin. Where you guys at?

Yang waits until the elevator stops at the bottom, when the reply appears.

Courtyard. We need to talk. As a team. Okay?

Yang groans in annoyance.

I'll be there in a minute or so.

Yang then exits the elevator and walks out of Beacon tower. As she does, she sees Team JNPR, who notices her and walks.

"Hey, Yang!" Jaune said.

"Sup, guys." Yang said, putting her arms behind her head.

"Well, we did hear about happen to you this morning." Pyrrha said. "Are you okay?"

"Of course I am. In fact...I feel great."

"Maybe." Nora said. "But you missed EVERY class today. The 1st day. Oh I wish I was you. Those classes were SO boring!"

"Nora. Please." Ren said. "The only thing that matters, is that you're okay, Yang."

"What...exactly happened this morning?" Jaune asked.

"Well...at first I thought I saw the world ending." Yang answered, getting a surprise by JNPR. "But it turns out to be a false vision given to me by this psycho jerk. If I ever see him, I'm going to him the beating of a lifetime."

"Do you even know where this guy is?" Nora asked.

"...Nope." Yang answered. "But eventually, I will. Until then, I have to look for my team and catch up on what I missed. Later, dudes and dudettes."

JNPR watches as Yang leaves.

"She seems...too confident." Ren said. "She needs to be careful, if there is someone out there, who can produce false visions."

"Yeah." Pyrrha said, with worry. "She does."

OUTSIDE

Yang slowly walks down the pathway, passing by several students and teachers, and whistling. Yang also proceeds to summon her locker and take out a bag, before sending the locker back. As she keeps on walking, she notices her team and smiles. She walks towards them and notices someone, who Ruby was crouches next to, quickly backs away. Yang also notices that the person who the same colored blonde hair, but tied up into a ponytail. She becomes cautious and slowly walks to them.

"Yang?" Blake asked.

"What's Up?"

Blake suddenly freezes and turns around, her eyes wide in shock. Yang looks confused as she nears her team.

"What?" She said. "Ya'll look like you've seen-" She stops talking about seeing Yang...or herself?

Yang stops talking and goes eyes-wide upon seeing the person who looks almost exactly like her.

Ruby quickly backs away upon seeing this.

The other Yang stands up and both she and Yang stare in shock and disbelief. Yang drops her bag.

"No...no...no, no, no." The other Yang said. "This can't be happening. This can't be!"

Yang proceeds to slowly walk to her and they stare at each other.

"Who...who are you?" Yang asked. "Why do you look like me?"

"...I...I am you. I'm Yang Xiao Long."

"No. No, you're not." Yang said, her eyes going red. "Why? Because I'm Yang Xiao Long! Who the hell are you!?"

The other Yang flinches in fear and starts to shake.

"Stop it, Yang!" Ruby said, stading between them. "She's clearly scared and maybe confused!

"Are you serious!?" Yang exclaims. "You're really going to defend this...this...this phony? Ruby. Look at me. It's clearly me! Not her. She's obviously an impostor!"

"I know, Yang." Ruby said. "But look at her. She's scared. As if something bad happened to her. Maybe someone made look like you and it traumatized her or something."

"Likely theory." Weiss said. "But look at her. Eyes. Hair. She even has the same metal arm as Yang. They look exactly the same."

"That's because...they both are."

Team RWBY and the other Yang look at whoever was talking. They see Ozpin, Goodwitch and Qrow walking towards them, with Qrow raising his eyebrows in surprise upon seeing the 2nd Yang.

"Oh, crap." He said. "If she's here..."

"Then he is, too." Ozpin said.

"Ozpin?" Blake asked. "What's going on?"

"Please." Goodwitch said. "If you'll come-

"Why does this girl look like me?" Yang asked, approaching Ozpin. "I need and answer now!"

"...In due time, Miss Xiao Long." Ozpin replied. "I want all of you to follow us to my office and we can discuss this...problematic occurrence." He turns to the other Yang. "I do apologize for the confusion...Miss Xiao Long. It's not every day you meet your doppelganger."

Team RWBY looks at the other Yang in either surprise or confusion, while the latter looks in shock.

"Here." Qrow said, throwing something at the latter.

Yang #2 sees that it's a hoodie.

"Don't want anyone to see that there are two Yangs in Beacon. And we don't want any more questions until we reach Ozpin's office. Put the hoodie on."

Other Yang quickly puts the hoodie on and the whole group walk towards Beacon Tower.

MISTRAL - WAREHOUSE

Walking around the inside of an empty warehouse, Cinder looks at her Scroll, grumbling in anger. As she does this, the sound of something dropping is heard, causing the villain to stop and looking around. After a few seconds, she suddenly forms her swords to a bow and fires an arrow at the intruder.

The arrow flies and is suddenly grabbed, before it hits someone. The sounds of a woman talking happens.

"Very...amateur, if I say so myself."

Cinder takes another arrow and prepares to fire again.

"There's no need for that. I come in peace...for now."

Cinder lowers her bow. "Talk, then."

The intruder just chuckles. "I think that showing you...would persuade you more."

Cinder's eyes go wide upon seeing flames coming out the intruder's hand.

"You think you're the only one with the powers of the Fall Maiden? Well...on this Remnant, you are."

Cinder looks in confusion. "What are you talking about?"

The intruder slowly comes out of the shadows. Cinder looks in shock as someone who looks like her is there. The other Cinder has a piece of black cloth over her left eye and her outfit is all black.

"You are clearly naive." The other Cinder said. "Salem hasn't taught you yet...hasn't she?"

Cinder growls, causing her doppelganger to chuckle again.

"Then allow me to educate you, then."

She then breaks the arrow her right eye glows.

"Tell me...have you ever heard of...the Multiverse?"
