Reyna tried to pay attention to the chariot races. She wanted to be a good friend and support Nico and Will. They had made a better, fancier chariot from their old one. It was more armored and apparently had a few tricks from some of Camp Jupiter's ambassador. Those ambassadors were also sitting in the stands in support, which was why Reyna couldn't focus on the chariot races.

Just looking at Arria sent pain through Reyna's heart. She sighed tiredly and looked at the ground. Arria was literally less than twenty feet away from her. There was six demigods sitting between them, but if Reyna looked to the side, she would be able to see Arria. They kept making eye contact.

Did Venus hate Reyna that much? Was it that much fun to mess with Reyna's love life? Venus had to enjoy it, considering the fact that Reyna couldn't get Piper out of her head. For the last twenty four hours, Reyna could only think about two things: Arria and Piper.

Reyna rubbed her face with her good hand. Yesterday had been a rough day, considering she had almost died in a volcano. She also managed to dislocate her broken elbow, and Will had lectured her for a full hour over it. When she got back to Camp Jupiter, they were going to lecture her about it too.

Physically, she felt like Tartarus warmed over. Mentally, she was worn out. Why did feelings have to be so complicated? Reyna sighed tiredly. When she had snapped out of the Incubus' spell and found herself staring into Piper's eyes, she felt this feeling of longing in her chest. That feeling wasn't going away.

Reyna let out a frustrated breath. It didn't matter how she felt about Piper. She was still trying to save her relationship with Arria, and her feelings about Piper didn't matter. Piper and Jason were still dating, even though it was a rocky relationship. Reyna wasn't about to interfere in all of that, especially since she knew how it felt.

After a moment, Reyna glanced to her side. Bellamy and Anthony were pointing at the different chariots and seemed to be arguing with each other. Infra was counting up money that she had either stolen or gotten from a bet. Arria, as gorgeous as ever, was staring ahead. After a moment, another ambassador sat next to Arria.

A wave of jealousy ran through Reyna, and she looked away. She hadn't seen that ambassador in a few weeks, and she could have gone without seeing the ambassador for a whole year. Reyna glanced to her right again and glared at the ambassador.

The ambassador, Prisca, was a year older than Reyna. She was shorter than Reyna but more muscular, not that it was important. Prisca seemed to think so, since she wore a sleeveless shirt underneath her black breastplate. Her red hair was tucked underneath her beanie, and her green eyes moved to meet Reyna's.

Prisca gave Reyna a nod. After a moment, Reyna looked away. Venus was really laughing now, considering her ambassador was right next to Arria. A scowl came to Reyna's face. Prisca was an ambassador for Venus, but she was also the second in command of the Inquisition. Prisca was Nerva's right hand, and it was another person to keep an eye on Reyna.

Reyna couldn't stop herself from looking back again. Prisca whispered something in Arria's ear, and a genuine smile came to Arria's face. Jealousy burned in Reyna's chest, and she looked back at the race. She stared as Nico's chariot completely flipped.

Reyna was at the bottom of the stands in a few seconds, but the medics were even faster. One jumped right into the wreckage and seemed to lift part of the chariot. Another one dragged Will backwards, and there was a clear breakage in Will's leg. Nico emerged from the wreckage a moment later and gave Reyna a thumbs up. Then, he ran to Will's side. Reyna joined him.

"You'll be okay," Nico promised. He gently grabbed Will's hand. "And, just think about it. You were so worried that I was the one who was going to get hurt."

"Shut up," Will groaned. Nico smiled, but there was clear worry in his eyes. Reyna let out a breath she didn't know that she was holding in. She had been terrified when the chariot first flipped, but everything seemed fine.

"Well, it looks like you won't win for a third time by crossing the finish line with a piece of your chariot," Reyna commented. Nico rolled his eyes, and Will smiled slightly. One of the medics shooed her away, and she took a step backwards. "I'll meet you guys in the infirmary."

Nico nodded and focused back on Will. Reyna smiled slightly. It was nice that someone's relationship wasn't complete and utter confusion. She took a few steps backwards and couldn't look away.

"Are Nico and Will okay?" Arria asked. Reyna slowly turned to look at her ex girlfriend. Arria glanced at her and seemed to try and get a look of Nico and Will.

"Nico's fine, but Will's leg is broken. The medics will take care of him," Reyna answered. She sighed and closed her eyes. Reyna could not take this torture anymore. She had to tell Arria about Nerva. Damn the consequences. "We need to talk."

"Agreed," Arria said. She looked at Reyna, and her eyes narrowed. Arria slowly brought a hand to Reyna's face and examined the cut on her lip. "It looks fresh. What happened?"

"Sparring accident," Reyna said quickly. Arria studied the wound, and there was a look of concern in her eyes. She grabbed unicorn power and started to bring it to Reyna's face. Reyna tried to grab her arm, but Arria's hand intercepted hers. Then, she poured unicorn powder on the wound.

Reyna hissed in pain as the wound burned. Arria quickly wiped the unicorn powder away. Then, she stepped backwards. Arria spoke, "You ran into him."

"It's nothing," Reyna began. Arria examined her arm, and her eyes widened. "Arria, it's fine. You don't have to worry about me."

"Reyna, did he do this to you?" Arria asked. She placed one hand to Reyna's lip and then the other to her arm. After a moment, Reyna painfully nodded. There was a look of primal fear in Arria's eyes. "How did he find you?"

"Arria, it's not your fault," Reyna said. Arria took a few steps backwards. Reyna grabbed her arm and didn't let her go any further. "It is not your fault. Please don't blame yourself."

"If he was able to get close to you, that is my fault," Arria said. She pulled away and fled from the stands. Reyna cursed and tried to chase after Arria. Instead, someone grabbed her arm tightly. She slowly looked at Prisca.

"Allow me," Prisca said. Reyna felt that anger boiling in her chest, and she looked at the ground to hide her glare. Prisca turned and went the way that Arria had run off to. Reyna swore and wanted nothing more than to raise her fist and hit something. She remembered that she was in public though.

A loud cheer caught her attention. Reyna turned to see Piper and Leo pass the finish line a second before Clarisse. As Reyna looked at Piper, a small smile came to her face. It was immediately followed by a frown.

Once again, Reyna's emotions were going to get her into trouble. She loved Arria. She really did. But, Reyna was realizing she also had feelings for Piper. When that Incubus used his version of charmspeak, Reyna felt like she was in a cloud and didn't really register anything around her.

Then, Nico had vanquished the Incubus. The cloud parted, and Reyna found herself staring up into Piper's beautiful eyes. Reyna had felt her heart racing, but she didn't break eye contact, until Nico said something. Reyna didn't really remember much of the night before, as they gave her more pain pills. She just hoped she didn't say anything too dumb.

Reyna looked down and watched two medics carry Will towards the infirmary. Nico followed right behind them. Reyna followed as well and made it to Nico's side. She spoke, "How is he doing?"

"He was telling them how to take care of him, so I think he is fine," Nico answered. Reyna smiled, but it felt hollow. "Are you okay?"

"Not really," Reyna answered. She shook her head. "I think I have feelings for Piper."

"After how you acted yesterday, I kind of guessed," Nico admitted. Reyna nodded and moved her eyes around the camp. She didn't see Arria anywhere, which sent anger and sadness through her.

"And, I still have feelings for Arria, but I think I have competition. Nerva's second in command is here, and she is all over Arria. I hate these feelings," Reyna said. She kicked the ground.

"It will get better," Nico promised, and he rubbed Reyna's shoulder. Reyna sighed and looked down. It almost felt like Venus herself had decided to gather pictures of everyone that Reyna knew and put them on a dart board. She would then throw a dart at the board, and whatever picture it landed on would be Reyna's new crush of the month. It was great, really. Reyna loved to have her emotions toyed with by the stupid goddess of love.

"I doubt it," Reyna muttered. They made it towards the door of the infirmary and heard Will ordering his siblings around. Nico grinned, and Reyna smiled. Both of Will's siblings looked annoyed, but they were listening to him.

Reyna and Nico sat on a bed near Will. Nico held onto Will's hand. Reyna laid back on the bed and tried to relax. Her mind raced on exactly what she was going to say to her friends. It would be easy to tell them that Nerva was bribing her, but how much could she skirt around telling them what she was being bribed with.

There was also the situation with Arria. Why was it all so complicated? An angry sigh left Reyna. She rubbed her face and slowly sat up. Will was still bossing his siblings around, and a small smile was on Nico's face. Neither of them spoke, until Will's siblings were done and had left the infirmary.

"Will was lucky enough to be the only one who got injured, wasn't he?" Reyna questioned. Nico nodded, and Will glared at them. A small smile came to Reyna's face. "You shouldn't have been so worried about Nico."

"Just you two wait," Will warned. He rolled his eyes and settled back in the bed. They heard a knock, and Percy stepped into the room. He held something in his hands that was tucked underneath a jacket. Annabeth followed behind and closed the door behind them.

Percy dramatically removed the jacket to show two boxes of pizza. Annabeth pulled off the backpack from her back and passed soda around. It only took a few moments for Jason to join them. Annabeth spoke, "How are you doing, Will?"

"I've been better," Will admitted. Nico grabbed a slice and walked towards Will's side. He held the slice close to Will's face, like he was going to help him eat. "I am going to hurt you, Nico."

"It will be so worth it," Nico teased. "Now, here comes the airplane."

Reyna couldn't stop the jealousy that burned in her chest. Nico and Will seemed to have the perfect relationship. They had a few arguments, but neither of them had crazy siblings that threatened the other. The two looked like they were made for each other. Reyna focused down on her pizza and tried to get rid of those thoughts.

Reyna heard the door behind them open. A glance back showed Leo and Piper. There was a huge grin on Leo's face, and it grew wider as he saw the pizza. Piper was smiling as well, and when she looked at Reyna, she almost blushed. Reyna quickly looked away. Oh, she was really in trouble now.

"Even though you guys cheated, it was a good race," Nico said. Piper stuck her tongue out at him and sat by Jason. Reyna just focused on her slice of pizza. Small conversations filled the room, along with congratulations for Piper and Leo.

Could Reyna really do this? Opening up to Nico had been hard, but she knew that he would understand. They had bonded on their quest, and he wasn't from the Roman background. He didn't realize how serious of a crime patricide was. Jason would understand immediately. Piper still had her father, and Annabeth did as well. They would think Reyna was a monster for killing hers.

How could Reyna skirt around the truth though? If she told them that she had done something as a child that was serious enough to get her into trouble, they would ask her what it was. Jason would probably be able to narrow it down pretty quickly.

Reyna closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She buried her face in her hand. Why did she agree to this? Why did she let Piper convince her to do anything while she was in terrible pain and half conscious. A hand gently rubbed Reyna's back.

"So, what's going on?" Leo asked. "We were told to meet here for something serious."

Reyna slowly looked up. Leo was looking at all of them in confusion. Piper was just studying Reyna. Percy and Annabeth exchanged looks, glanced at Piper, and focused on Reyna as well. It didn't take long for everyone to focus on her.

"I'm sure you all know about Nerva," Reyna began. She stared down at the ground. "She's the leader of the Inquisition. They are a small sect of demigods that follow Veritas, goddess of truth, and have been allies with Camp Jupiter for a long time."

Reyna stopped talking and stared at the ground. She let out a deep breath and felt tears of frustration come to her eyes. Reyna closed her eyes tightly and took another deep breath. She finally opened her eyes but didn't look up.

"Nerva learned something about me," Reyna said. She swallowed painfully, and Nico gripped her shoulder tightly. "She's using that knowledge to bribe me. First, it was to break up with Arria. Nerva hasn't said what she wants next, but I'm worried. If I don't do exactly what she says, she will go to the Senate."

"How bad is it?" Jason asked quietly. Reyna looked at him and shook her head. Tears came to her eyes once again, and she buried her face in her hand to hide her tears. She waited for someone to ask exactly what it was, but no one said a word.

"What do we know about Nerva?" Annabeth asked. "Is there anything we have on her that would counter Nerva's knowledge?"

"All we really know is that Nerva is Arria's older sister and seems to be protective of her," Nico answered. "We don't have anything that can beat what Nerva has, and Reyna doesn't want to drag Arria into this."

"You two broke up because Nerva was bribing you?" Percy asked. Reyna nodded. While she still didn't look up, she could have sworn she heard money being exchanged. "Are we sure that there is actually something else that Nerva wants? Maybe, she just wanted to destroy the relationship."

"I can't take that chance," Reyna said. She wiped her eyes and looked up. "And, I'm not ready to let my relationship with Arria go. I still love her. I don't know what to do."

"We can't just tell the Senate either," Jason said. He crossed his arms. "Even if they punish Nerva for bribing Reyna, Nerva will still tell them what she knows. What kind of proof would Nerva have?"

"I don't know," Reyna answered. She looked down and tried to think. She knew that her childhood home had been abandoned when her and Hylla fled. Hylla reclaimed their house and had restored it, but Reyna didn't stop by after their last forced visit. She couldn't go back, and she never would.

There was no proof of Reyna killing her father. There was no eyewitnesses, other than Hylla, and Hylla would never tell another soul. The cutlass that was used was still on display in their house, according to Hylla. Reyna finally spoke, "Only three people know: Nico, Hylla, and Arria."

"Do you think Arria would tell Nerva?" Piper asked. Reyna shook her head.

"I don't think she would, but I really don't know," Reyna admitted. "I don't know what to do."

"We might have something that we can hold over Nerva," Nico began. Reyna slowly looked at him. "You think the trip to the Roman town that nearly destroyed our friendship was a trap by the Inquisition. If we can prove it, I think that will beat what Nerva has on Reyna. But, that means we have to find someone in the Inquisition who can help us."

"Arria is a partial member of the Inquisition," Reyna said. She shook her head. "And, Prisca. She is Nerva's second in command though. That's the only two that I really know."

"We'll question both of them," Annabeth decided. She stood. "Nico can talk to Arria, and I can talk to this Prisca person. I'll ask her all kinds of questions about the Inquisition and then the town. We're going to figure this out."

"Thank you," Reyna began. She wasn't quite sure what to say, and all she could do was look down.

"I'm glad you came to us for help," Percy said. "Should we ask you how long this had been going on for?"

"No," Reyna admitted. A small smile came to her face, and she looked up. "I know you guys will just yell at me about it."

Percy grinned as well. Annabeth nodded to Reyna, and she had a real serious look on her face. She grabbed another slice of pizza and walked out of the infirmary.

"So, that whole town thing could have been a trap?" Leo asked. He rubbed the back of his neck. "I knew that it felt too much like a horror game."

"How much trouble will the Inquisition be in if it turns out that they were involved in setting a trap?" Piper asked.

"It's going to be bad," Jason replied. He shook his head. "We are going to have to get Lupa involved."

"If we get proof," Reyna interrupted. She crossed her arms. "If Nerva thinks that I told anyone else, she is going to tell the Senate, and that's pretty much going to destroy my life. We have to be careful."

"We will be careful," Jason promised. He stood and walked towards Reyna. "I know I really haven't been the best friend as of late, but I am here for you. We're going to figure this out."

"Thank you," Reyna said. Jason squeezed her shoulder tightly and left the infirmary. Reyna let out a deep breath. She couldn't exactly relax. One weight was lifted from her chest as she told everyone about Nerva bribing her, but another weight was added as she thought about how everything could go wrong. The amount of people who knew had now tripled, which meant that it was easier for things to go wrong.

They all heard a soft knock on the door. After a moment, Prisca stepped into the room. Her gaze focused on Reyna, and she spoke, "Apologies. I do not mean to interrupt. I was just looking for the leader of this camp, a Centaur? I wasn't quite sure where he was."

"I'll show you," Piper said. She stood and smiled brightly. Piper led Prisca out of the infirmary. Reyna couldn't help but glare at the ground. She felt her gut twist. Reyna had no doubt that Prisca was at the camp to keep an eye on Reyna. It was getting annoying to have every single one of her moves watched. Reyna needed to find a way to relax.

"Hey, Nico. How do you feel about adult parties?" Reyna asked. Nico glanced at her in confusion. "Hylla's birthday is next week, and Kinzie is throwing her a party. She said that it's going to be an adult party, and it sounds like it is going to be the most boring thing ever. I can't just skip the party, and Kinzie told me I could invite you and some others."

"An adult party does sound boring, but it should be pretty safe. You can't get hurt that way," Nico teased. Reyna gave him a look, and he laughed. "It will be good for you to relax, so I'll go with you."

"I would invite Will, but he's kind of on bed rest," Reyna teased. Will gave her a look, and Reyna grinned. "If you're on your feet, you can come. Besides, it's an adult party. What is the worst that could happen?"
